My amazing professor named our scientific retreat for this April as:
MMS Magnificent - Mini - Symposium 🔥
I have to choose my most mature project and explain in a single storyline with max 5 figures (if i dont have any to make fake plots) the main scope and discuss if the basic logic works. I also have to present an issue where I am stuck.
After that we will have barbecue 🤩
I have been isolated from the specific project because i dont work often on it lately and i can't see it as one because i work on different parts compartmentalized and some parts where made from another colleague before me. I dont feel i own this project and i want to come closer to this. In the next days i want to spend at least 2-3 hours daily of focused timw thinking on this while creating the presentation.

100 days of code_ Python: Day 1 and Day 2
(09/01/2023) and (10/01/2023)
Tumblr media
Obs: the int in weight I concert, but I want to sharing my erros, so it's ok.
THE SOLUTION
Tumblr media
Yesterday I slept studying, so I put aside posting (the tumblr algorithm doesn't like this, but sometimes it will happen UHEUE)
When I bought the course, I thought. I'm going to spell it out there, Do several days of the course in one day
Reality: I like it, but at the same time I'm so bad at it UHEHUEHUEU
A part of me didn't want to share this here, show my mistakes (my vulnerability).
But neither I nor you reading this were born knowing things, I'm learning, so obviously I need to fail to improve and I hate the culture of productivity/toxic perfection.
Previously I just did the conversion from portugol to python.
It wasn't really a theory + documentation, but observation.
As I understood by observing that the Leia command in Portugol was Input to store data in variables in Python.
So it's been a good learning experience.
I would like to highlight things that I understood that I have to improve, be more attentive:
+There were times when I got lost with it doing a lot of variables and mainly using functions (in my logic exercises I didn't use much or none of the two, so I learned to deal / understand how to use it)
+ If you've read past posts, you know that I have anxiety and today I understood that it was bothering me and I wasn't even noticing. My mind was so eager to do the exercise and try it right away that I didn't pay attention to what the exercise was asking of me.
And for me when it comes to programming/problem solving you must first use rationality and not emotion.
So I started to write what was asked, I reflected and then I started to code. It will be something that I will have to develop more, even more so in a work environment. But being aware and trying to improve helps.
+I have to improve (AND A LOT) my logic of creating variables, I felt so ashamed of myself. UHEUHEUHEUEE
+ That when you are a beginner, any opportunity to practice logic should be taken advantage of.
As I explained, I did more of a conversion of my Portugol exercises than really their logic (after all, I had already done that) So now, I will always dedicate myself to thinking about each step to be taken in the construction of the algorithm.
Well, that's it for now.
I wish you are managing to deal with your studies and that you are well, drink water.

Hey, I need help from you all in this community, I'm sorry if I'm misusing the tags. I've been in sexual promiscuity for a good while now, how do I get out? I just want to go back to Jesus but I feel unworthy and honestly don't know how to. Please feel free to tell me any advice in the replies, my asks, or my DMs. Thank you all so much.

CRITICAL THINKING B
Week 1 : Creative Practice and Critical Thinking
Illustrator Ofelia Botella uses creative practice in her work consistently. She has a design service called Designed in a Day where she creates wedding stationery between 9am-5pm on the same day.
She has a 30-minute meeting with clients before their design day as well as questionnaires for clients to fill up about details and inspirations. For it to work smoothly client and designer communication has to be efficient in speedy replies or quick calls.
Then a mood board and draft would be sent to the client to review before 1pm. After the chosen direction, designs will be polished and shared for two feedback rounds and finalizing.
Ten different templates would be created that clients can use across all stationery items and a shared guide on how to edit the text using canva and some printing tips. Since the final process takes some time, the step would be finished after the design day.
This design service really intrigued me because it's quite rare and I have worked on a wedding invitation project before and it took more than a day. So it was awe-inspiring how she illustrated in a few hours to complete cards by 5pm. I really love her unique watercolor art style as well as it is hand-painted with a sense of personal touch. The system of the service Ofelia created is really efficient because projects get done faster.

Here's the critical thinking side of things. My short story and the article linked were noteworthy as it has good highlights on why the prices are so high now, how it affected the system, and what can be changed.

The Riddle: I am taken from a mine and shut up in a wooden case, from which I am never released, and yet I am used by almost every person. What am I?
Decoding the Clues: Let's break down the riddle step by step. The first line states, "I am taken from a mine and shut up in a wooden case." This clue hints at a natural resource being extracted from a mine and subsequently enclosed in a wooden container, implying that it is precious and requires safekeeping.
The next part reads, "from which I am never released." This suggests that whatever the subject is, once it is placed in the wooden case, it remains confined within it, and there is no intention of setting it free.
Finally, the riddle concludes with, "yet I am used by almost every person." This last clue is the most intriguing, indicating that despite being locked away, this mysterious object is an indispensable part of everyday life for the majority of individuals.
Cracking the Riddle: Now that we've analyzed the clues, let's put on our thinking caps and figure out what could fit the description. Consider the context of a mine, the significance of a wooden case, and the ubiquitous usage implied by the final clue.
The Solution: The answer to this classic riddle is "a pencil." Pencils are made from graphite, which is extracted from mines and enclosed in wooden casings. Once inside, the graphite core remains there and is used for writing and drawing, making it an essential tool for countless people worldwide.
