Going Home
I really wish Wizard101 played more into the fact that your wizard is canonically from Earth, and is presumably the only student in Ravenwood that isn’t from the Spiral.
I’ve thought about long-form writing a Wizard101 adaptation, and one of the ideas that’s intrigued me the most is: what happens if the young wizard, after so many years of learning magic and battling evil and saving the Spiral, went back to Earth?
I imagine it to begin with the young wizard being sent back to their hometown on Earth by a powerful enemy who’s learned of their origin and wants to keep them out of their schemes. The young wizard instantly sticks out from the average residents of their hometown with their robes and book of spells and the way they spin around, clearly unsure of where they are.
But when it fully sinks in that they’re back home, they freeze.
Everything’s so different now. People dress differently and talk differently, so their out-of-date Earth slang from when they left combined with the ingrained way of speaking of the Spiral makes them even more out of place. Technology has advanced so drastically that it’s common for cars to run on just electricity and people have advanced computers in their pockets and even on their wrists. Music is faster-paced, people watch ten second long videos, and there’s even been a world-wide plague with its grasp on the world still there.
Perhaps as a result of being so far away from Bartelby and the Spiral, their magical abilities are significantly weakened, making them feel even more alone and powerless. They race to their lifelong home, but they can’t even find solace there. The walls are slightly faded, the furniture is either rearranged or replaced, and their families are almost completely different people. Their parents are noticeably older with graying hair, their younger sibling has left for college, or their older sibling is living on their own and has an actual career. They try to welcome them home with open arms, but it’s not the same. They cook the young wizard’s favorite food, but it doesn’t taste the same. It’s all so eerie. Everything’s familiar, but just different enough to make them feel like they don’t belong there.
Do I have a home, the young wizard wonders. I was born on Earth. I was raised on Earth. I have family on Earth. But the Spiral is where I spent the most of my mature life. It was in the Spiral where I grew from a child to an adult. I have friends in the Spiral. I have too much of Earth in me to call the Spiral home, and I have too much of the Spiral in me to call Earth my home.
The young wizard visits the school they attended before being sent to Ravenwood. While walking along the edge of the building and feeling a twinge of nostalgia for simpler times, they find a plaque by a small garden, memorializing them. Nobody in the school knew that they became a wizard and went to live on another world. All they could do was ensure that the memory of the student that went missing didn’t die out.
As the young wizard looks at the plaque, they hear a faintly familiar voice.
“Do I know you?”
The young wizard turns and recognizes this person as their old best friend from their childhood. They’re older and more mature, but it’s unmistakably them.
The young wizard wants to say yes, but memories of their time in the Spiral come back. Memories of killing Malistaire in the Crown of Fire. Memories of Xibalba destroying Azteca. Memories of wielding the Sword of Kings and destroying Morganthe. Memories that completely separate them from all their former friends. They could try to ignore all of that and try to return to a normal life, but their soul has been through too much.
So, with a heavy heart, the young wizard answers “...No, you don’t.”

The Tombstone Garden
The small chunk of flat rock sits deep within the shadow of Bartleby's branches. Access to this forgotten place has not been well maintained. Many parts of the tunnel carved through the rock of Wizard City are in complete disrepair, threatening to collapse at any moment. The entrance itself is blocked by large boulders one must scale, and if you cannot slip through the small opening at the top then sadly you'll never be able to make the pilgrimage. Spider only knows what else might have taken residence in the quiet shadows in recent times...
But if you do manage to make it into the tunnel and through the darkness unscathed, you will be met with a sad sight. Gray fog carpets the ground as rows upon rows of tightly packed headstones greet you. Many names are old and weathered, scratched off by the sheer winds that rush up from somewhere down below. The cold will latch onto your bones, chilling you to your core as you make your way down the central path that divides the plateau in two.
If you were versed in history, some of the names you might recognized, if you can still read them. Names of former Professors and old family houses that have been living on this World for generations. Rotting gifts are all that's left of what once was a highly visited place - spoiled food, dead flowers, unopened bottles, corroded coins, and more. Now it's as dead as the names that populate the place.
The Tombstone Garden is the most common name for this quiet place so far away from the rest of civilization.
It's thought that the infamous Death Professor Malistaire Drake blocked the entrance when his wife died, unable to bear the thought of her own name being engraved on the Drake headstone. Why he didn't simply obliterate the Garden itself is a mystery.
But thanks to him, if it was indeed him, at least one visitor is able to mourn in peace.
If you were to visit the Garden now, in all its forgotten glory, there you will always see a single freshly picked Nightshade laid atop the Drake headstone.
If you were to make your way to the back of the Garden, right where the headstone stands, you will be able to locate the bouquet that the flower came from, laid neatly at the base of a cut slab of obsidian off to your right, crowded out by the other stones around it. Each year, another flower is added to the count.
And if you decide to approach it, you will find the hidden headstone vandalized, its names scratched out of its surface forever. This is the headstone of a family that fate has tried to erase time and again for reasons unknown. A bloodline on the brink of extinction, plagued by terminal ailments, deadly accidents, and mysterious disappearances. A name that only one wizard still possesses, the last born under it and the last to die using it.
It belongs to the family of

"Discovering Destinies: Kael and Elara's Journey Through Elyria" This is the summary of your work so far: In a dimly lit tavern, Kael and Elara share stories about their pasts and form a bond as they decide to work together against a secret society. Their individual journeys led them to this point - Kael from a hidden village in the ancient forest where he was taken in by the village healer, and Elara from the distant kingdom of Ravenwood where she lost her family under mysterious circumstances. The discovery of an old map revealing a hidden realm connected to Elara's family's disappearance fuels their resolve to bring back their families and uncover the secrets of Elyria. Together, they are determined to find their family members and uncover the secrets of the enchanting kingdoms of Elyria, growing ever closer to their destiny. As they shared stories, Kael and Elara found that their paths had been intertwined all along, leading them to this very moment in the tavern. Their combined knowledge and experience made them a formidable duo, ready to face the challenges that awaited them in the magical kingdoms of Elyria. In their conversation, Kael and Elara grew more comfortable with each other, their bond strengthening by the minute, as they discussed prophecies, adversity, and their shared determination to unravel the secrets of Elyria and reunite with their families.
In the bustling market square of Elyria, two figures approached each other; one clad in the armor of a soldier from the kingdom of Aeloria, and the other draped in the vibrant robes of a mage from the realm of Zantharia. The soldier, named Kael, was searching for his long-lost sister, while the mage, Elara, sought her missing brother. As they stood face to face, their eyes met, and a spark ignited within them that would change the fate of Elyria forever. "Greetings, stranger," Kael said, his voice tinged with suspicion. "What brings you to Aeloria?" "I am Elara, a mage from the kingdom of Zantharia," she replied calmly. "My brother and I were separated during our journey here, and I have been searching for him ever since." As they continued to converse, their shared experience of loss brought them closer, and they soon realized that their families had been torn apart by the same secret society that sought to control Elyria's destiny. United by their quest to find their loved ones and unravel the mystery of this sinister organization, Kael and Elara began their journey together, with the knowledge that their union was foretold in an ancient prophecy. Throughout their adventure, they encountered a myriad of characters, each with their own stories and motivations. In one such encounter, they met an enigmatic bard named Lyria who shared tales of the secret society's machinations. She warned them that their journey would not be easy, but it was through their love and unity that Elyria could find peace once more. As Kael and Elara continued on their quest, they discovered that the key to unlocking the truth about the prophecy and their families lay within a long-forgotten temple hidden in the heart of a treacherous forest. Together, they braved its deadly traps and ancient guardians, uncovering clues that led them ever closer to the secret society's inner circle. In the final confrontation with the leaders of the secret society, Kael and Elara stood side by side, their love for each other and their families driving them forward. With the power of their united hearts, they defeated the dark forces controlling Elyria, fulfilling the ancient prophecy and restoring peace to the enchanting kingdoms. In the bustling market square of Elyria, Kael and Elara continued their search for any clues that might lead them to their missing family members. As they wandered through the crowded streets, they couldn't help but notice the tension in the air. People whispered urgently, casting nervous glances at one another. Kael, always alert, noticed an old woman sitting on a crate near the market stalls. Her eyes were bloodshot, and she appeared to be in great distress. He approached her cautiously, asking, "Excuse me, ma'am, have you seen a young girl named Elara from Zantharia?" Elara, who had been eavesdropping on the conversation, stepped forward. "I am Elara. And you are Kael from Aeloria." The old woman nodded, her eyes brimming with tears. "I saw Elara enter the market this morning, but I haven't seen her since. She was searching for a mage named Kael, said to be a great hero in her homeland. But she hasn't returned home, and I fear something has happened to her." Kael's heart raced as he clenched his fists. "We will find her, I promise," he vowed. The old woman nodded gratefully and urged them on their way. As they continued searching, Kael couldn't help but feel a sense of hope that they were finally getting closer to solving the mystery of their missing family members. Suddenly, a group of armed men in dark cloaks appeared at the edge of the market square. They scanned the crowd warily, looking for someone – or something. The tension was palpable as everyone watched the strangers nervously. In that moment, Kael and Elara knew they had stumbled upon a secret society, and their search for answers had only just begun. The scene continued with dialogue between characters, revealing more about the world of Elyria and the challenges faced by the protagonists as they sought to uncover the truth behind the mysterious organization controlling events in the kingdoms. In the bustling market square of Elyria, Kael and Elara exchange information about their missing family members, growing closer with each passing moment. As they delve deeper into the mystery, they come across an old woman who holds the key to unlocking the secret society's intentions. "Have you had any luck in your search?" asks Kael, as he and Elara sit at a small table in the market square. Elara shakes her head. "I have been searching for weeks, but there is little information available on my family. My parents were from Zantharia, but they moved to Aeloria when I was just a child. They kept their past a secret, so I'm not sure where to begin." Kael nods in understanding. "My family was from Aeloria, but I haven't heard from them since my father left when I was young. He said he had important business to attend to, but he never returned." As they continue their conversation, the old woman approaches their table. Her eyes twinkle with knowledge, and she seems to be watching them closely. "You two seem lost," she says, her voice a mix of wisdom and warmth. "May I offer some assistance?" Kael and Elara exchange glances but decide to trust her. "We're searching for our missing family members," Kael explains. The old woman leans in, lowering her voice. "I may know something about your families. In the past, my own parents disappeared, and I discovered that they were part of a secret society controlling events in the kingdoms. I never joined them, but perhaps I can help you find answers." As Kael and Elara listen intently, their hearts race with excitement. They had been searching for so long, and now there might be hope. The old woman's information leads them to a hidden meeting place, where they come face-to-face with the mysterious organization controlling events in the kingdoms. Together, Kael and Elara navigate the treacherous web of deceit and manipulation, relying on their newfound connection and love to guide them through the darkest moments. As they unravel the secrets of Elyria, they strengthen their bond, forging a partnership that will change the fate of the enchanting kingdoms forever. In the bustling market square of Elyria, Kael and Elara continued their search for clues, each hoping to find information about their missing family members. They walked past vendors selling exotic fruits and crafts, children playing games, and people from all walks of life chatting and laughing. The atmosphere was filled with joy and energy, but beneath the surface, a darker force was at work. Kael and Elara approached an old woman selling potions and herbs, her wrinkled face weathered by years spent in the market. "Excuse me, ma'am," Kael said politely, trying to hide his nervousness. "Have you seen a young woman around here? She has long, silver hair and wears a purple cloak?" The old woman glanced at Elara before turning back to Kael. "Yes, I have seen her," she replied, her voice low and gruff. "But she disappeared not long ago. A group of mysterious men took her away." Elara's eyes widened in shock, and Kael clenched his fists. "Do you know anything about them? Any markings or symbols they wore?" he asked, determination growing in his voice. The old woman hesitated, looking around nervously before leaning in closer to the two. "They wore a symbol like a serpent swallowing its tail," she whispered. "I heard they are part of a secret society controlling events in Elyria." Kael and Elara exchanged a glance, realizing that the society's reach was deeper than they had imagined. They needed to find more information, and fast. As they continued their search, they couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched, their every move observed by the mysterious organization. In the shadows, a hooded figure watched the two protagonists with interest. "They are getting closer," he murmured. "We must act quickly to stop them." The prophecy had foretold the union of Kael and Elara as a powerful force that would save Elyria. And now, their journey had begun in earnest, drawing them ever closer to the truth and the destiny that awaited them. In the market square of Elyria, Kael and Elara stood side by side, taking in the hustle and bustle around them. As they exchanged glances, their eyes met, and they both knew there was something more than chance that had brought them together. ```less Kael: (smiling) It's quite a sight, isn't it? The market square always has such a lively atmosphere. Elara: Yes, I haven't seen anything like it since... well, since I came to Elyria. There is so much to learn and discover here. Kael: Tell me about yourself, Elara. I can sense there's more to your story than meets the eye. What brings you to this place? Elara: (hesitantly) It's a long story, but... I was taken from my home in the mountains when I was just a child. I've been searching for my family ever since. Kael: That must be... difficult. But perhaps we can help each other find what we're looking for. My own journey is to find my long-lost siblings and uncover a secret society that has been controlling events in Elyria. Elara: (intrigued) A secret society? How fascinating! I had heard whispers of such a group, but I never believed they existed. What do you know about them? Kael: Not much yet, but rumors say they wield great power and influence over the kingdoms of Elyria. It seems they have been manipulating events for their own benefit. Elara: (nodding) That explains a lot. I've seen signs of their interference in my travels, though I never understood what was behind it all. Perhaps together we can uncover the truth and put an end to their schemes. Kael: Absolutely. We must find those who can help us in our quests. But first, let us listen to this old woman's tale. She may know more about your disappearance than anyone else in Elyria. Elara: (smiling) Agreed. Let's see where our fates lead us. ``` In the dimly lit tavern, Kael and Elara sat across from each other, their eyes meeting for the first time. The flickering candlelight cast eerie shadows on the walls, while the sound of clinking glasses and hushed conversations filled the air. Kael, a tall man with unkempt brown hair, wore a threadbare cloak over his worn leather armor. He leaned in, his voice low and husky. "I was sent to Elyria on a mission to find my sister, who vanished without a trace years ago. I've heard whispers of a secret society controlling things in the kingdoms, but no one dares speak of them." Elara, a petite woman with raven hair and piercing green eyes, sat poised, her hands resting on the table. She wore an elegant silk dress that contrasted sharply with Kael's rough clothing. "I am searching for my long-lost family as well," she said, her voice soft but determined. "My mother was a noblewoman from the northern kingdom, and my father... I know not his origins. But rumors say he was involved in something dangerous before disappearing." Kael's eyes widened, intrigued by Elara's story. "Perhaps our quests are more connected than we realize," he mused. "I have come across several mysterious occurrences that suggest a hidden hand pulling the strings in Elyria. If we join forces, perhaps we can uncover the truth and find our families." Elara nodded, her expression serious. "It's a dangerous path we're embarking on," she warned. "But I am willing to risk everything for answers about my past." Kael reached across the table and gave her a firm handshake. "Then let us begin this journey together," he said with a nod. "And perhaps, in time, we'll not only find our families but unravel the secrets of the shadows that control Elyria." In that moment, their fates were intertwined, and they knew they had to face whatever dangers lay ahead. United by their search for the truth, Kael and Elara left the tavern with a renewed sense of purpose, ready to confront the enigmatic forces at work in the kingdoms. In a dimly lit tavern, Kael and Elara sat across from each other, their eyes meeting for the first time. The air was thick with tension, but also an unspoken understanding that they were both outsiders in this world. "So," Kael began, breaking the silence, "tell me about yourself. Why are you here?" Elara hesitated for a moment before answering. "I've been searching for my family," she confessed. "They disappeared when I was just a child, and I've spent years trying to find them." Kael nodded, understanding the pain of loss all too well. "And what about you?" he asked. "What brings you to Elyria?" Elara sighed. "I was sent here on a mission by my order. We protect the realm from dark forces, and there's been an unsettling increase in strange occurrences lately." Kael raised an eyebrow. "You mean the rumors of the secret society controlling everything?" Elara nodded. "Yes. That's what we suspect as well. But no one has been able to prove it yet." As they continued to talk, Kael and Elara found themselves drawn to each other. Their shared experiences and mutual understanding created a bond between them, and they decided to work together against the mysterious organization controlling events in the kingdoms. The dimly lit tavern was filled with patrons deep in conversation, their voices rising and falling like waves of sound. Elara sat at a corner table, nursing a glass of wine and studying the crowd. She felt a presence behind her and turned to see Kael stepping into the light. He approached her table, a determined look on his face. "You've been looking for answers," he began, sitting down across from her. "And so have I." He took a deep breath before continuing. "My family was always involved in the affairs of Elyria, but when they vanished, it all stopped. I've searched for years to find out what happened, and now I believe there is a secret organization controlling everything." Elara listened intently, her eyes wide with interest. "That's exactly what I'm looking for," she said softly. "I was taken from my home when I was just a child, and ever since, I've been searching for my family. It feels like the same shadowy group has been working against me every step of the way." Kael leaned in closer to Elara. "We have more in common than we thought," he said. "It seems our fates are intertwined, and together, we stand a better chance of uncovering the truth about this secret society and finding our families." Elara nodded, her heart pounding with anticipation. "Then let's do it together," she agreed. "We can combine our skills and knowledge to fight against this mysterious organization. Who knows what we might find?" In that moment, Kael and Elara forged an unbreakable bond, their shared goal of uncovering the truth and reclaiming their families driving them forward into the unknown dangers of Elyria's enchanting kingdoms. In a dimly lit tavern, Kael and Elara sat across from each other, their eyes meeting for the first time. The flickering candles cast eerie shadows on the walls as they sipped their drinks, lost in thought. Kael cleared his throat, breaking the silence. "I never thought I'd meet someone like you, Elara," he said, his voice low and hesitant. "I mean, we come from such different worlds." Elara nodded, her eyes filled with sadness. "My world was torn apart when I disappeared, and now it seems that everything is connected to something much larger than I ever imagined." Kael leaned forward, his elbows on the table. "I understand that feeling all too well," he said, his voice full of emotion. "But we're not alone in this. We have each other, and together, we can find our families and uncover the truth about these enchanting kingdoms." Elara looked into Kael's eyes, her own filled with determination. "I believe that," she said firmly. "And I know we'll find answers if we work together." As they continued to share their stories, a sense of camaraderie and mutual understanding grew between them. They knew that the path ahead would be fraught with danger and uncertainty, but they were ready to face it side by side, united in their quest for truth and family. In this dialogue-heavy scene, Kael and Elara not only shared their backgrounds and motives but also formed a bond that would see them through the challenges that lay ahead. As the night wore on, they decided to join forces against the mysterious organization controlling events in the kingdoms, determined to unravel its secrets and find their way back to their long-lost family members. The enchanting kingdoms of Elyria were about to witness a powerful alliance between two individuals who, despite their different backgrounds, shared a common purpose. In the dimly lit tavern, Kael and Elara sat across from each other, sharing their stories over steaming mugs of mead. The fire crackled in the hearth, casting dancing shadows on the walls. Kael leaned forward, his eyes shining with curiosity. "So, you're searching for your long-lost family, is that right?" He asked Elara, a hint of intrigue in his voice. Elara nodded, her eyes fixed on the flame. "Yes, I am. My parents told me they were from the northern kingdom of Elyria, but they never spoke of their past beyond that." She took a sip of her mead, her gaze not leaving the fire. Kael sighed, his own story mirroring Elara's in some ways. "I too am searching for my family. They were from the southern kingdom, and I have only vague memories of them, like fragments of a dream." He paused, the gravity of their shared quest settling between them. Elara glanced at Kael, a spark of understanding in her eyes. "Perhaps, together, we can uncover the secrets that keep us from our pasts," she suggested, her voice barely above a whisper. Kael nodded solemnly, his heart swelling with newfound hope. "Together, we shall find answers." As they continued their conversation into the night, Kael and Elara found not only common ground in their quests but also an unbreakable bond that would guide them through the trials ahead in the enchanting kingdoms of Elyria. In the dimly lit corner of the tavern, Kael and Elara sat across from each other, their eyes meeting for the first time. The sound of clinking mead cups and low murmurs of conversation filled the air around them. "So," Kael began, his voice low and hushed, "you say you're from the kingdom of Avernthia?" Elara nodded, her eyes never leaving Kael's. "Yes. I was raised in the outskirts of the city. But my family...they were noble, and I fear they may have fallen victim to this secret society you mentioned." "And you?" Elara asked, leaning forward slightly. "What brings you to Elyria, and why do you seek your family?" Kael sighed, his eyes distant as he recalled memories of his past. "I was an orphan, raised by a kind old woman who taught me everything I know about the enchanting kingdoms. But she, too, seemed to vanish without a trace. I've always believed there was more to our stories than met the eye." Elara reached out and grasped Kael's hand, her grip firm and determined. "Then we have a common cause," she said, her voice steady. "Together, we shall uncover the secrets of the enchanting kingdoms and find our long-lost family members. And perhaps, along the way, we will find something far greater than we ever imagined." In that moment, Kael knew he had found an ally in Elara. They were both bound by their pasts and driven by a shared purpose, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead in the enchanting kingdoms of Elyria. Kael and Elara sat across from each other, their mead glasses clinking as they shared stories of their pasts. Kael leaned forward, his eyes filled with a fire that only comes from a deep-rooted passion. "I was raised in the mountain villages," he began. "My father was a blacksmith, and my mother was a skilled herbalist. We lived a simple life, but it was content. Then, one day, my village was attacked by mysterious creatures I'd never seen before." He paused, taking a deep breath as he tried to shake off the memories. Elara listened intently, her eyes reflecting her empathy and understanding. "I come from the coastal cities," she replied, her voice soft but steady. "My family were sailors, and we traveled the seas on our ship. We'd heard stories of the enchanting kingdoms of Elyria, but never in our wildest dreams did we expect to find such wonders." She sighed, recalling the days when life was full of adventure and excitement. Kael leaned in closer, his curiosity piqued by Elara's story. "What happened?" he asked, his voice a hushed whisper. Elara glanced around the dimly lit tavern before continuing. "One day, while we were docking at one of the coastal cities, our ship was attacked by a group of shadowy figures. They took my family and many others from our crew," she explained, her voice barely audible over the sound of the wind outside. Kael's eyes widened as he realized the connection between their stories. "The same creatures that attacked my village were responsible for taking your family?" he asked, his voice a mix of disbelief and horror. Elara nodded solemnly. "Yes, it seems we are both searching for our long-lost family members, and we find ourselves entangled in the same web of deceit." She looked at Kael with newfound determination, her eyes sparkling with a sense of purpose. Kael smiled, a hint of relief and hope shining through his features. "Then, let us join forces," he said, raising his mead glass in a toast. "Together, we will find our families and uncover the secrets of Elyria." Elara raised her glass in agreement, their shared purpose binding them together in an unbreakable bond. As Kael and Elara sat at their table in the dimly lit tavern, the flickering candlelight cast eerie shadows across their faces. They sipped their mead, each lost in thought, when Elara spoke up first. "Kael," she began softly, "I have shared my story with you, and now I would like to hear yours." Kael nodded solemnly, and a look of sadness washed over his face as he began. "My name is Kael, and I come from the kingdom of Eyrewood. My family was once noble and respected, but we fell on hard times when my father's estate was ruined by bandits. I am searching for any remaining relatives to help rebuild our family legacy." Elara leaned in closer, her eyes filled with empathy. "I too have a tragic past. I was born in the kingdom of Lornthar, where I lived with my parents and younger brother until an illness swept through our village. My parents passed away, and my brother was taken by a mysterious group known as The Whispering Hand." Kael's eyes widened at the mention of this secret society. "The Whispering Hand... they are known in Eyrewood as well. Rumor has it that they control events across all the enchanting kingdoms of Elyria, using their power to manipulate and control." Elara nodded solemnly, tears welling up in her eyes. "And now, with our shared pasts and these common enemies, we must unite to find our family members and uncover the secrets of this cursed land." As they continued to share their stories and plans, Kael and Elara felt a bond growing stronger between them. They knew that together, they could face any challenge thrown at them by The Whispering Hand or any other foe that dared to stand in their way. And so, with renewed determination, they set out on their quest, ready to confront the darkness that threatened the enchanting kingdoms of Elyria. In a dimly lit corner of the tavern, Kael and Elara sat across from each other, their mead glasses clinking as they shared their stories. Kael, a tall man with dark hair and a scar on his cheek, spoke first. "I was raised in the bustling city of Elyria, the son of a blacksmith. But one day, my family was wiped out by mysterious forces, and I've been searching for answers ever since." Elara, a young woman with silver hair and piercing blue eyes, leaned in closer as she listened intently. "I was born in the deep forests of Elaria, raised by a tribe of skilled archers. But when I was just a child, my parents disappeared without a trace. I've been looking for them ever since." As they continued to share their stories, Kael and Elara began to sense a connection between their quests. They exchanged glances, realizing that something greater than coincidence had brought them together in this dimly lit tavern. As they raised their mead glasses in agreement, a newfound determination ignited within them. Together, they would find their family members and uncover the secrets of the enchanting kingdoms of Elyria. In the dimly lit tavern, Kael and Elara shared their stories over mead, each one captivated by the other's tale. Kael leaned in, his voice low as he recounted the story of his past. "I was born into a family of renowned mages, but when I was just a child, they vanished without a trace. I've spent years searching for them, only to find whispers of their demise at the hands of a secret society." Elara listened intently, her eyes widening as she realized the connection between their stories. "My tale is similar," she began, her voice trembling with emotion. "I was raised by adoptive parents in a small village, but they, too, were taken by this mysterious group. I've been searching for them ever since, driven by the desire to uncover the truth." As their stories intertwined, Kael and Elara found solace in their shared experiences. The weight of their pasts seemed lighter now, as if they had found a part of themselves in each other. They knew then that they were not alone anymore. Together, they would find their family members and uncover the secrets of the enchanting kingdoms of Elyria. Kael leaned forward and took a deep breath before beginning to share his story with Elara. "I was born into a family of esteemed warriors, trained from a young age to protect the kingdom of Elyria. My father was a legendary knight, and I hoped to follow in his footsteps. But everything changed when he disappeared during a mission. No one knew what happened to him, and I was left with only my mother's vague memories to guide me." Elara listened intently, her eyes locked on Kael as he spoke. "My family was different," she said softly, joining the conversation. "I come from a lineage of mages, gifted with the ability to wield magic in ways that others cannot comprehend. But my parents were taken by mysterious forces when I was just a child, leaving me to fend for myself." Kael's eyes widened as he realized the connection between their stories. "Perhaps our families faced the same secret society that has been pulling the strings of Elyria all these years," he mused. Elara nodded, her voice full of determination. "We must find our family members and uncover the truth about this enigmatic organization. Together, we are stronger than we could ever be alone." As they spoke, the two protagonists formed a bond over their shared experiences and mutual desire for justice. They vowed to work together, combining their unique skills and knowledge in order to protect the enchanting kingdoms of Elyria from the clutches of the secret society that threatened to control everything around them. As Kael and Elara sat together in the dimly lit tavern, they exchanged their stories over cups of mead. They listened intently, absorbing every detail as each one shared their own personal experiences that led them to this moment. The atmosphere grew heavy with emotion and tension, as the truth about their pasts began to unravel. Elara leaned in closer to Kael, her voice barely a whisper. "My father was a renowned mage from the Kingdom of Everwood. He was a member of an ancient order sworn to protect Elyria. But one day, he never returned from a mission, and my mother disappeared soon after. I've been searching for them ever since." Kael's eyes widened as he realized the connection. "My story is similar. I was raised in the secluded village of Rillwood, far away from any kingdom. My parents were not from Elyria, but they were here on a quest when they met and fell in love. They never told me about my heritage until their sudden disappearance. That's when I started searching for answers." The two exchanged glances, realizing that they shared more than just a tavern. They had been brought together by fate itself, united by a common purpose - to find their lost family members and uncover the secrets of Elyria. Their hearts pounded with determination, as they knew that they had finally found an ally in each other. Together, Kael and Elara stood up from the table, their bond now unbreakable. They raised their mead cups in a toast to their newfound friendship and the adventures that awaited them. With newfound hope, they left the tavern, eager to embark on their journey and unravel the mysteries of Elyria's enchanting kingdoms. As the dimly lit tavern filled with the warm glow of flickering candles, Kael and Elara sat across from each other, their eyes meeting over the rim of their mead goblets. The sound of laughter and music floated through the air, but the two strangers were consumed by a different kind of magic - the magic of shared secrets and common purpose. "I never thought I'd find someone who understood," Kael said, his voice low. "But your story... it mirrors mine in so many ways." Elara nodded, her eyes filled with understanding. "I never believed I'd find someone like you, either. But here we are, both searching for our lost family members and uncovering the secrets of this enchanted land." "Tell me more about your journey," Kael urged, his curiosity piqued by Elara's story. "How did you come to Elyria?" Elara hesitated, her gaze shifting away for a moment before she continued. "My family was from the distant kingdom of Ravenwood. They were powerful mages, respected and feared throughout the land. But when I was just a child, my parents disappeared without a trace, leaving me alone in a world I didn't understand." Kael leaned forward, his eyes wide with interest. "My story is similar, though mine begins in the heart of Elyria itself. My village, nestled deep within the ancient forest, was home to a secret society hidden beneath its surface. They controlled everything - from the king's decisions to the fate of those who dared to question their power." "And you were born into this society?" Elara asked, her voice filled with disbelief. Kael shook his head. "No, I was an outsider, an orphan taken in by the village healer. But as I grew older, I couldn't ignore the whispers of darkness that surrounded me. It wasn't until I learned of my true heritage - a lineage of heroes and protectors - that I knew I had to break free from their grip." "And now we stand together," Elara said, her voice strong and resolved. "We will find our families and uncover the secrets of Elyria. And when we do, the enchanting kingdoms will never be the same again." The two strangers raised their goblets in a toast, their shared determination and purpose forming a bond that could not be broken. Together, they would face the mysterious organization controlling events, growing ever closer to their destiny as they discovered the truth about the enchanting kingdoms of Elyria. In the dimly lit tavern, Kael and Elara continued sharing their stories over mead, deepening their bond as they decided to work together against the secret society. With every word, they began to uncover the truth behind their family's mysterious disappearances, and the enchanting kingdoms of Elyria revealed themselves one by one. The atmosphere was thick with anticipation as Kael recounted his journey from the village hidden within the ancient forest, where he was taken in by the village healer after losing his own family to an unknown tragedy. Elara, on the other hand, spoke of her life in the distant kingdom of Ravenwood and the heartbreak of losing her entire family under suspicious circumstances. As they exchanged stories, their determination to find their lost family members and unravel the secrets of Elyria only grew stronger. The two forged an unbreakable bond through their shared experiences and mutual quests. Little did they know that their paths were destined to intertwine, leading them ever closer to their fated destinies in the magical world of Elyria. In the dimly lit tavern, the air hung thick with tension and the scent of mead. Kael and Elara sat across from each other, their eyes locked in a deep gaze. The fire crackled in the hearth, casting flickering shadows on the walls. "You have an air of mystery about you," Elara said, her voice low and hushed. "What brought you to this village, hidden within the ancient forest?" Kael leaned back in his seat, a hint of a smile playing at the corners of his mouth. "I was taken in by the village healer when I was just a child," he replied. "My parents had been killed by bandits, and I wandered the forest for weeks before collapsing in front of the healer's door." Elara's eyes widened. "I see. And what of your past? You mentioned you were from the distant kingdom of Ravenwood," Kael said, seeking to learn more about his newfound companion. "Yes, I was born and raised in Ravenwood. But my family... they're gone now," Elara whispered, her voice choked with emotion. "I lost them to mysterious circumstances, and I've been searching for answers ever since." Kael nodded solemnly, his eyes filled with understanding. "I know that feeling all too well. My journey has led me to uncover secrets about the enchanting kingdoms of Elyria, and now my destiny lies in finding my family and revealing the truth," he said, his voice determined. Elara reached out and gripped Kael's hand, a spark of hope igniting in her eyes. "We must work together, then. With our combined knowledge and skills, we can find answers and forge a new path forward." Kael squeezed her hand in agreement, the firelight casting warm golden hues on their interlocked fingers. Together, they had found purpose and camaraderie, bound by their shared experiences and driven by the desire to uncover the truth about their families and the hidden secrets of Elyria. And so, their adventure began. In the tavern, dimly lit by flickering torches, Kael and Elara sat across from each other, their eyes locked in an unspoken bond. The air was thick with intrigue as they began to share their stories over steins of mead. "I come from a village hidden deep within the ancient forest," Kael began, his voice low and filled with emotion. "The healers there took me in when I was just a child, after my parents were taken by unknown forces." His grip on the mead stein tightened as he spoke of his past, the memories painful yet necessary. Elara listened intently, her eyes reflecting the empathy she felt for Kael. "I hail from the distant kingdom of Ravenwood," she revealed, her voice soft and melodic. "But tragedy struck my family, and I was left alone, with only whispers of a secret society to guide me." As they continued their conversation, the bond between them grew stronger. Kael and Elara found themselves drawn together in their shared quest for answers and a sense of belonging. Their determination to find their lost family members and uncover the secrets of the enchanting kingdoms of Elyria only grew stronger with each word exchanged. Their dialogue-heavy scene unfolded, revealing layers upon layers of emotion and mystery as they delved deeper into the intricacies of their lives. The tavern walls seemed to close in around them, the world outside fading away as they drew ever closer to the truth and to each other. In the dimly lit tavern, Kael and Elara continued their conversation with an air of anticipation. Their eyes locked as they spoke in hushed tones, sharing their stories and experiences with one another. Kael began, "I was raised by the village healer in a hidden settlement deep within the ancient forest. He taught me everything I know about herbs and healing." Elara listened intently, nodding as she shared her own story. "I come from the distant kingdom of Ravenwood. My family... we were taken by mysterious forces, and I've been searching for them ever since." The two exchanged glances, their determination to uncover the secrets of Elyria evident in their eyes. As they delved deeper into conversation, a bond began to form between them, strengthened by their shared experiences and desires. They knew that together, they could face any challenge that lay ahead. Kael leaned forward, his voice low but passionate. "We must find our family members and uncover the truth about the enchanting kingdoms of Elyria." Elara nodded solemnly, adding, "And together, we will grow ever closer to our destiny." Kael leaned in closer to Elara, his eyes widening with intrigue as he listened to her tale. "You say your family was taken by some unknown force?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper. Elara nodded, a shadow of sadness passing across her face. "Yes," she replied, her voice soft but steady. "One day, we were just...gone. Vanished without a trace. The king's men searched high and low, but they never found any clues or answers." Kael sighed, running a finger around the rim of his mead cup. "My journey was not so dramatic," he admitted. "I was taken in by the village healer after my parents died in an accident. It wasn't until I discovered an old map hidden away in their belongings that I realized there was more to our world than met the eye." Elara leaned forward, her eyes widening with interest. "An old map?" she repeated, a spark of excitement flickering in her gaze. "What did it show?" Kael hesitated, glancing around the tavern before leaning in closer to Elara. "It revealed a hidden realm, a place filled with magic and danger," he whispered, his voice barely audible above the murmur of the crowd. "I believe it's connected to what happened to your family." Elara's eyes widened, her heart pounding in her chest. "If such a place exists, then perhaps our families are not lost forever," she said, her voice filled with hope. "And if this realm holds the key to our past, then we must find it." Kael nodded, his determination unwavering. "We will find it together," he vowed, clenching his fist in resolve. "And when we do, we'll bring back our families and uncover the secrets of Elyria." Elara smiled, a glimmer of hope shining in her eyes. "Then let our journey begin," she said, raising her mead cup in a toast. Kael clinked his cup against hers, their newfound friendship forged through shared adversity and a common goal. And so, with the dimly lit tavern as their backdrop, Kael and Elara began to weave together a tale of adventure, bravery, and determination. Together, they would face the unknown, uncovering secrets that could change their lives forever, while growing ever closer to their destiny in the enchanting kingdoms of Elyria. Kael leaned closer to Elara, intrigued by her tale of the distant kingdom of Ravenwood. "So, you believe that your family's disappearance is connected to this mysterious realm?" he asked, his voice low. Elara nodded, a determined look in her eyes. "I am certain of it," she replied. "And I am willing to risk anything to bring them back and uncover the truth." Kael studied her for a moment before speaking again. "My journey began when I was taken in by the village healer in a hidden village deep within the ancient forest. He taught me the ways of healing, and I found solace in his wisdom," Kael shared, his voice filled with emotion. Elara's eyes widened as she listened to Kael's story. "That sounds incredible," she said softly. "I can only imagine the stories and secrets hidden within those ancient forests." "And it is those very secrets that we must uncover together," Kael replied, his tone serious. "For we are destined to be more than just travelers in this world. We are meant to change the course of history itself." In that moment, a spark ignited within both Kael and Elara as they realized the power of their alliance and the potential for greatness that lay before them. They raised their mead cups in a toast to their newfound friendship and the journey that lay ahead. And so, together, they embarked on a quest that would lead them through the enchanting kingdoms of Elyria, seeking answers and forging a bond stronger than any secret society could ever hope to break. In this scene, the characters Kael and Elara share their personal stories in a dialogue-heavy manner, revealing their pasts and forming a bond that will propel them towards their shared destiny in the enchanting kingdoms of Elyria. Kael and Elara's conversation continued into the night, their voices filled with intrigue as they shared tales of their pasts. The dimly lit tavern seemed to be the perfect place for such an exchange. They spoke of Kael's village in the ancient forest, where he had been taken in by a wise village healer who taught him the secrets of nature and magic. Elara, on the other hand, hailed from the distant kingdom of Ravenwood, a place that held both beauty and darkness. In her homeland, tragedy struck when her family vanished under mysterious circumstances. This loss drove Elara to seek answers, and eventually led her to join forces with Kael. United by their shared experiences, they were now on a quest to find their lost loved ones and uncover the secrets of the enchanting kingdoms of Elyria. The discovery of an ancient map, hidden away in the depths of Kael's village, revealed the existence of a secret realm connected to Elara's family's disappearance. This revelation only deepened their resolve, as they were now more determined than ever to bring back their families and uncover the secrets that lay within Elyria. As the night wore on, Kael and Elara grew closer, finding solace in each other's company. Their shared adversity and common goal forged a newfound friendship, one that would carry them through the trials and tribulations they were sure to face. In a cozy corner of the tavern, Kael and Elara continued their conversation, sipping mead and sharing stories of their pasts. Kael: "I was taken in by the village healer when I was just a child. She taught me everything about herbs and potions, and before long, I was helping her with the town's ailments." Elara: "That sounds fascinating! In Ravenwood, my family were scholars, but after my parents vanished, I was left to fend for myself. I began to learn about ancient texts and histories to keep their legacy alive." Kael: "It's a shame your parents disappeared. Maybe we can find out what happened to them together." Elara: "I would be grateful for any help I can get. The more we uncover, the closer we come to finding the hidden realm and our lost families." As they shared stories, Kael and Elara found that their paths had been intertwined all along, leading them to this very moment in the tavern. Their combined knowledge and experience made them a formidable duo, ready to face the challenges that awaited them in the magical kingdoms of Elyria. In the dimly lit tavern, Kael and Elara continued their conversation, delving deeper into their individual stories. Elara's eyes widened as she listened to Kael recount his time in the hidden village of the ancient forest. The village healer had taken him in after his family was lost to a terrible illness, and he had grown up learning the ways of healing and the secrets of the forest. Kael's tales of magical herbs and ancient remedies captivated Elara, who shared her own experiences growing up in the distant kingdom of Ravenwood. She spoke of her family's love for the arts and their mysterious disappearance, leaving a void that she had been desperate to fill. As they exchanged stories, Kael and Elara realized that their paths were not random chance but fate itself, leading them to this very moment in the tavern. Their shared experiences and knowledge made them a powerful duo, ready to face any challenge that lay ahead in the magical kingdoms of Elyria. They knew they had to find their family members and uncover the secrets of Elyria before it was too late. With renewed determination, Kael and Elara left the tavern, hand in hand, ready to begin their journey together. In the dimly lit tavern, Kael and Elara exchanged stories about their lives and the mysterious circumstances that brought them together. As they spoke, they found common ground in their shared experiences and a growing sense of camaraderie. ```markdown In the depths of the ancient forest, Kael had been raised by the village healer after being orphaned at a young age. He had learned to harness his innate magical abilities, using them to protect the village from dark creatures that prowled the woods. His life had been one of hardship and dedication to the village, but it was a purpose he held dear. Meanwhile, Elara's journey began in the distant kingdom of Ravenwood, where her family had been prominent members of society. One fateful night, her entire family vanished without a trace, leaving only whispers and rumors in their wake. Desperate for answers, Elara left her home to uncover the truth behind her family's disappearance, driven by a mixture of love and vengeance. As Kael and Elara recounted their stories, they discovered that an ancient map had been hidden within both their families' histories. This map led them to a long-lost realm in Elyria - the very place where their families had disappeared. With newfound determination, Kael and Elara vowed to find their family members and uncover the secrets of this enchanting kingdom. Together, they formed an unbreakable bond, their shared experiences and knowledge making them a force to be reckoned with. As they ventured deeper into Elyria, Kael's magical prowess and Elara's strategic mind guided them through the challenges that lay ahead. ``` In the dimly lit tavern, Kael and Elara continued sharing their stories over mead. Their conversation flowed effortlessly as they delved deeper into their past experiences. Kael: "You know, in my village, there was an ancient prophecy about a hero who would rise from the shadows to save us all." Elara: "A prophecy? That's intriguing. What did it say?" Kael: "The prophecy spoke of a warrior with a golden eye and a scar on their cheek, someone destined to bring balance to the world." Elara: "And you believe that was you, Kael?" Kael: "I don't know. But I do feel a responsibility, a calling, to protect those who cannot protect themselves." Elara: "I understand that feeling all too well. The loss of my family has driven me to seek justice and uncover the truth about what happened to them." Kael: "Our stories are similar in many ways, Elara. We've both faced adversity and come out stronger for it." Elara: "We have. And together, we might just find the answers we're looking for." As they continued their conversation, Kael and Elara grew more comfortable with each other, their bond strengthening by the minute. They knew that they had a long journey ahead of them, but with each other's company, they felt ready to face any challenge that came their way. The secrets of Elyria would be unraveled, and together, Kael and Elara would find the family they had lost. In the dimly lit tavern, Kael and Elara continued their conversation. The tension between them began to dissipate as they found common ground in their shared experiences and goals. Elara leaned in closer, her eyes wide with curiosity. "You've been taken in by a village healer?" she asked. "What led you to that village in the first place? And how did you come to be on this quest for answers?" Kael sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I was orphaned as a child, found wandering in the woods by the village healer," he explained. "She raised me and taught me the ways of healing and the secrets of the forest. But when I came of age, I learned that there was more to the world than I had ever imagined." Elara nodded thoughtfully, her eyes reflecting her own loss. "And what brought you here?" she inquired. "What made you leave Ravenwood and set out on this journey?" "I was born into a family of scholars and mages in the distant kingdom of Ravenwood," Elara began. "But when I was just a child, my family disappeared under mysterious circumstances. I have spent years searching for answers, but each lead has only led me deeper into the darkness." Kael's eyes widened in understanding. "The map we found - it must be connected to your family's disappearance," he said, his voice filled with determination. "We have to find out what happened, and bring our families back together." Elara nodded solemnly, her grip on her mead cup tightening. "And I promise you, Kael," she said, her voice resolute, "together, we will uncover the secrets of Elyria and find our family members." As they continued to share stories late into the night, their bond grew stronger, and they knew that together, they were more than a match for any challenge that lay ahead in the magical kingdoms of Elyria. In the dimly lit tavern, Kael and Elara exchanged stories with excitement, their voices growing louder as they spoke of their individual journeys. Kael began, "I was taken in by the village healer after being found abandoned in the ancient forest. I grew up learning the ways of the healing arts, and it wasn't until I stumbled upon a cryptic prophecy that my life took on new meaning." Elara chimed in, "In the distant kingdom of Ravenwood, I lost my family under mysterious circumstances. Since then, I have been searching for answers and seeking justice for their untimely demise." As they continued to share their stories, Kael and Elara found that their paths had been intertwined all along, leading them to this very moment in the tavern. In the dimly lit tavern, Kael and Elara continued their conversation, each sharing more about their pasts and the reasons that had brought them together. The air was thick with tension, as they spoke of the trials they had faced and the families they had lost to the mysterious secret society. ```

“What’s this one, then?”
Penny looks where Dworgyn is pointing. “Oh! That’s the skull of the cat we had when I was a girl, Minnie.”
“Why did you keep it?”
“To remember her by. The rest of her is back in Marleybone, I’m afraid… Maybe next year I’ll bring her whole skeleton, and I can introduce you!”
Dworgyn chuckles. “Sounds wonderful, Miss Dreadful.” He looks over the assortment of bones again, all spread out over the desk. He picks one up carefully. “And this one?”
“That is the stapes bone of a dragon.”
“It’s as long as my head is tall.” He holds it up for emphasis. “And this goes in an ear?”
“Well, yes, but that’s because it’s from a dragon. Mammals have three inner ear bones, but reptiles only have one.”
“Still. It’s giant.”
“No, it’s from a dragon.”
Dworgyn lightly smacks Penny’s forearm, just with the tips of his fingers. “You know that’s not what I meant,” he says as she laughs.

♛ Spotted on the Upper East Side…
Name: Rebecca Ravenwood Pronouns: She/Her Age: 45 years old Hometown: Up To Player Occupation: Actor Social Status: Insider Faceclaim suggestion: Jessica Chastain
Who Is Rebecca?
“New to town with a made up name, in the angel’s city, chasing fortune and fame.”
Rebecca Ravenwood- I’m holding for the applause! You’re an inspiration, an icon. You fought tooth and claw to get to where you are now, destroying anyone who dared think about ruining you (I can relate). You’ve never fully trusted anyone, not even your nearest and dearest. You rely on yourself, always keeping a distance in your relationships. You could never relax, you could never settle, always working to protect your reputation and your work. At times, you’ve let your success get in the way of other people’s feelings, including your precious daughter’s. No judgement here, promise. To your public, you’re perfect! Never a hair out of place, a photo that wasn’t proofed, a project that isn’t lucky to have you. Behind closed doors? Let me know. XOXO ---Gossip Girl
A Little Extra
Up To Player (two paragraphs of biography; helpful key points listed below - message if you’d like to make any changes or note in the app if you’d rather the bio written up  for you!)
Rebecca Ravenwood is an iconic actor and a member of the incredibly famous ‘brat pack’. Rebecca, Johnny, Diana and Jamie were the up-and-coming stars of their time. They all had their biggest break on a soapy teen drama that had more twists and turns than you could keep up with. Rebecca is publicly very grateful for her big break but does remind the press that she’s long moved on.
Still actively working as an actor, Becca immediately declined the offer to join ‘Friday Night Bites’ with her fellow ‘brat pack’. It wasn’t until she had word that Jamie had said yes, she reconsidered over a late night glass of wine. Nostalgia is a bitch and now she’s signed a contract.
Having Roni when she was young, her career still taking off, caused a lot of complications for Rebecca. She started to cut off her friends, starting a new life with her daughter and husband. She focused on her work, she wanted to keep building a life for herself and Roni. Rebecca could only count on herself, that’s how it would always be.
Rebecca can be cold, calculating and cut to the bone when she wants to. She isn’t afraid to do what needs to be done, she isn’t afraid to be the ‘bad guy’. She’ll stab you in the back with her stiletto and then go on to host an award show with a smile. Rebecca can be ruthless.
But Becca can also be silly and fun. She can be playful and sweet. She used to play pranks on set when she was young. She’d insist on a round of shots for the whole group, drag everyone to karaoke and out sing everyone there! She spent a long time perfecting a character, she isn’t sure who the ‘real’ Rebecca is anymore.
What Does Gossip Girl Have On Them?
Veronica broke up with her boyfriend, Sam Watts, before they should have both been heading to college. She came home to L.A, with a secret. Roni was pregnant. Becca knew she had to keep the scandal- the secret- under wraps for as long as possible. They were already going through a divorce- Becca and Roni’s dad (who had been unfaithful)- and keeping the media at bay was a full time job. Rebecca arranged for the adoption- it was for the best. Also up to player (if applicable; alternatively you can note their thoughts on Gossip Girl’s return!)
Connections
Veronica Ravenwood - Rebecca’s whole world, her daughter. Not that she’s ever been able to articulate these feelings to her. Rebecca’s relationship with Veronica is turbulent, it’s complicated. Rebecca never knew how to be a mom, she only knew to protect Roni, to do what’s best (right?).
Jamie Park - ‘brat pack’ member and one of Rebecca’s oldest companions. Becca always had a way of getting under Jamie’s skin. They were together on and off a lot before Becca had Veronica (and some times after). They either loved or hated each other with no in between. Becca could never really let Jamie love her.
Johnny Akana - ‘brat pack’ member, Johnny and Becca were always at each other’s throats when they were young. They were either arguing or laughing, screaming or dancing together. They haven’t spoken since Roni was little.
Diana Watts - fellow ‘brat pack’ member. Becca lost touch with almost everyone years ago. Diana was never afraid to call Becca out when needed but they loved each other. They all did. Secretly, they once had a romantic tryst but agreed to keep it under wraps so they didn’t hurt Johnny and Jamie.
