Whumptober Day 2: "They don't care about you" [RP Open Starter]

"Did my parents ever love me?"

The doctors snapped their heads up from their clipboards simultaneously at the question. Side-eyes passed between one another until the head pressed the button on the microphone. The one-way mirror blocked the eyes of many from the pleading spots of purple that stood in the middle of the room.

"They don't care about you."

Myta's gaze snapped down to floor. His eyes peeled away from the talking wall. His small clawed hands linked together in front of him, clenching tight while he slowly maneuvered himself down to the floor.

He tucked his knees up until his arms rested on them.

If they cared about him, they would've gotten him out of this place before he was made..

If they cared about him, he wouldn't be poked and injected so many times with the people in bright yellow suits

If they cared about him, maybe the talking wall would stop being so mean.

But they don't, and the wall finally confirmed it to him.

⁶⁾ there are two beds, but only one blanket

⁷⁾ a character’s taken ill, and the other party worries too much to leave them alone for even a minute

⁸⁾ in a fit of anger after a mission gone wrong, both characters sleep in the only available bed because no one was chivalrous to offer to take the floor
