Dd a quick doodle of JTTW zhao, remember this is just a concept and I'm still ruffing up her final JTTW book look but it should be very similar to this!

Also, before you comment on the makeup being funky there's an actual reason behind this-

Soo, as I mentioned Quanshui and Yue are spirits and Zhao is a spiritual Maiden however not a full spirit (because her father was a spirit but her mother wasn't afhgagafgafggfgf)

Anyways, in my little fever dream aka my OCs- Spirits are personifications/representatives/expressions of the joys of life in human form, made so that humans could understand the luck they've been given by literally being given life to experience, and in this spiritual cultures these spirits have very funky/colorful makeup bcz many hues and shades of colors represent life. So ye spirits basically dress like that considering it's their culture and alldat

So basically: Spirits> the joys of life in human form> colors represent life> spirits wear bright colors as their culture because life wow

Another batch of Pokémon for the Alpova region. Like previously, more info below!

TETROUGH (Flying/Normal) Tetrough has short wings that make it inept at flying long distances. However, it’s longer legs give it an impressive running speed.

GROUSSALT (Flying/Fighting) Although bad at flying, Groussalt possesses claws that make it adept at climbing. Hikers are warned to steer clear of these territorial Pokémon.

COLCHEEP (Dragon) Colcheep try to blend into flocks of Wooloo, in the hopes that they receive the protection from Dubwool.

GUARDIGON (Dragon) It is very protective of its gold-like fur. If provoked, it cries out with a terrible roar than can be heard from miles away.

HACHIRP (Normal) For years it was not known how Hachirp came to be, as their eggs hatched in the nest of different Pokémon.

CARINGALE (Normal) Caringale swap their eggs with other eggs they perceive to not be taken care of. It raises that Pokémon as if it were its parent.

CACTINNY (Grass) It hides in the sand between cacti, hoping not to get spotted by Pokémon flying overhead. It can fire the needles growing on its body as a last resort.

The Tetrough line is based on the Ruffed Grouse and the Hoatzin, and function as one of the early game flying types similar to Spearow. Colcheep is a bit of outlier, not really based on anything within Appalachia, but actually being based on the golden fleece and the Colchean dragon. The Hachirp line is supposed to a helper pokémon similar to Chansey/Audino, but for daycares instead of Pokécenters. It was vaguely based on oviraptors and nest parasitism at first, but after a lot of doodling it kind of morphed to being more mammalian. Cactinny was born from a bunny doodle I drew on my school notes, that’s kind of all there is to it. But it’s cute, and I like it.

Doodle request dump : The Sequel

Gonna be another long one so watch out!

YES OCS. So, Here's two of them (i've got more but i'll post more later on.) Their names are Irwin (the one with the bandana) and Josh (The one with the bowtie). They're like brothers but not by blood and they were the first Subconites that were found by the Snatcher and were given a body. They've got the dumb sidekick thing going with them, usually doing Snatcher's dirty work when he doesn't want to do it.

Chierrot character sheet! Will develop on this in the future.

image description: a character sheet for my OC Chierrot, who is blue haired pierrot puppet in a blue costume. He is depicted curled up and crying, with his name written next to him in English and Russian. He has a large white ruf, blue clown shoes, a propellor hat and has ball joints.

There are notes on his character at the side that read: Chierrot was raised in a Punch and Judy travelling circus. Very bad parents, very sheltered upbringing. Charliequin rescued him. He was starting to become a puppet, but can still be saved. He is sensitive but stronger than he realises. Loves Charliequin very much (carries a talking hobby horse he gave him, there is then a drawing of the hobby horse, which is blue and smiling).

There are two doodles on the side, one of Chierrot in a tall dunce cap and blue dress captioned pre coming out. There is also a drawing of Chierrot with a natural pale skintone rather than his china-like flesh. He is smiling and the picture is captioned Chierrot develops in a real person as time goes on. At the bottom is a winding red and black chequered road with a floating red circus above it, and the word Tragicommedia written in black. End description.
