You and Simon (“Ghost”) have been seeing each other for almost a year now. Because of his schedule, you tend to not see him as much as you like. On your guy’s date prior to Ghost leaving, you asked about going into the photobooth with him to take some photos. He agreed (secretly he wanted to as well so he can take a photo of you guys with him) and you both hurried along the strip. It was raining that day. His hair was wet, his light brown eyes were soft. In the photobooth you guys took 6 pictures together. 2 silly ones, 2 cute (typical couple pics) and 2 kissing ones. He ripped off one kissing, one cute and one silly then handed you the rest. You looked at them, admiring how amazing you guys look together. “I have a question y/n?”, he asked. You raised one eyebrow, he didn’t let you ask what, “when I come back, can I meet him?” he pointed to your pic of your beloved bearded dragon that was in your wallet, you shyly smiled, “umm sure” you said. Ghost seemed to really love that. “I like all animals, y/n. I was hoping you’d introduce us sooner, but I understand how nervous you get” he spoke. You lifted your eyes to his, you could see that he really meant what he said. For a man who claims he is cold hearted, he sure does the opposite of that. And before you could think another thought his lips meant yours. Perfect kiss.

At home you were all giggly. Cutting the pictures out nicely, careful not to tear or fold any corners. Things had to be neat and organized or you’d start to panic. You had an empty picture frame next to your beardies, you thought for a second and looked at the picture of you and Ghost kissing and then at the silly one where both of you were crossing your eyes. After the old eenie meanie miny moe trick, you landed on the kissing photo. You lifted the frame, it was light, a pretty blue that went well with the rest of your décor. You liked happy colors. You experienced enough trauma in your life that happy colors like: light blue, yellows, light green, etc. brought a sense of peace. You carefully put the picture in the frame and set it next to your beardies pic. You then went over to your bearded dragon’s aquarium and took him out. “You will meet Ghost one day, Archie” you told him. “Are you excited? Ghost is super nice and sweet. A bit rough around the edges but he wants to meet you when he gets back. Hopefully he comes back” you said sadly. Archie noticing your mood change climbed up to your shoulder and gave a little nudge with his head to your cheek…almost as though he was saying “he always comes back, doesn’t he?!”

4 months passed by, and you get the call, Ghost is back!! You meet him at the airport to pick him up. You are so nervous, you wore one of his favorite outfits and sprayed a little bit of his favorite perfume on you. You guys were talking a little bit while he was gone but his mission was very outlined and detailed to the point where you didn’t hear from him for weeks until you got a text stating “Safe. Love you”. Love you. He has said it before but it always feels different…like there’s more he wants to say but can’t. You see him come off the aircraft (friends/family get to meet their s/o at the actually aircraft). He is in normal clothes, jeans and a black hoodie, no mask on and you see his facial hair has grown a bit, truly sexy. He sees you and immediately jogs over with all his gear (that shit is not light), and gives you the biggest bear hug, lifting you off the ground. “I missed you so much, love” he whispered in your ear. Chills running through your body. “I missed you Simon” you whispered back. He sets you down and you both head your car. “So., Can I meet him”, Ghost asks anxiously. You haven’t even started the car yet, laughing and shaking your head “Yes you can meet Archie”. “Archie?!?! I like that name” he says smiling. You could’ve swore he did a little giddy dance.

It took about 30 mins to get to your apartment. He has never been there before. Once you the door, Ghost busts through. He examines the décor, colors and neatness. “Your apartment is very nice. I like the colors” he says. “Is it always bright?” he asks. “Yes. Until nighttime when I bring the light blocking curtains down” you say; you love sleeping in. He put his bags down in a neat way by the door and he takes his shoes off. He looks at you, “Where is Archie?”. You smile and motion him to follow you. Archie has his own room due to the lighting. You both enter the room, and you point at the aquarium. You are a little nervous since you realized you put yours and Ghosts pic next to Archies pic. Ghost goes over to the glass, careful not to touch it, he simply says “hey little guy”. Ghost looks over and sees a picture of Archie in one frame and you and Ghost in the other. He looks at you and smiles, “I see he knows mommy and I are a thing” and winks. The last thing you expected to come out of his mouth. Mommy and I. “Do you want to hold Archie?” you ask Ghost. Ghost, a little nervous now, “Yes but will I hurt him?”, you shake your head. You go over to the aquarium, open the hatch and pick Archie up. You tell Ghost to hold out his hand like so. Archie crawls from your arm to Ghosts. Ghosts gasps a little, but he is careful not to startle Archie. Archie continues to climb up Ghost’s arms and goes straight for the hood part of his hoodie. “He likes hoodies” you tell Ghost. Ghost smiles and Archie’s head is right by Ghosts neck with the rest of Archies body in the hood. Ghost slowly gets up and goes to the kitchen. “What does he like to eat?” he asks. Soon enough Ghost is not only making food for you and him but occasionally giving Archie a tiny bit of veggies and fruits.

Couple hours later you put Archie back into his aquarium. You go back to the living room where Ghost is sitting watching a movie. He looks up at you, “so…when can I move in?”, you blush and smile. “I mean, it depends on if you want all this” you motion your hands all around you. Ghost stands up and moves to where you are, “I want all of this. I want all of you. All of Archie. I want to be with you and Archie for the rest of my life. If you will have me” he said. You were slightly shocked, but you looked at him and leaned in kissing him, “I want you forever Simon”.
