You seem to be in your own world or Your not paying close enough attention. You may think everything is good even blissful or maybe you chose to ignore the problem or act as if it isn't there- turning a blind eye; but something is on the verge of shattering in your life. Aka he got sick and died. We take for granted what an incredibly fortunous time we live in. How abundant we are in seers and diviners who dedicate their lives to serving the greater good with free readings and YouTube instructionals. We have podcasts and videos and thousands of texts from millions of people using their gifts. We have so much guidance that we lose sight of the most important guidance of it all. Yours. Hypnos (14827) ~ The gift of dream sight, prophetic messages through dreams, the ability to Astral project. Dream magic/ Astral projection may be a very strong gift for you. If you have this in the 1st house please protect your energy. Most of the time these natives have very strong dreams. The Hidden Isle is a pen and paper RPG that uses Tarot cards instead of dice, set in the 16th century on the secretive island of Dioscoria. It focuses on roleplaying and collaborative storytelling.

This is a game about swashbuckling adventures across Europe and the Middle East, stealing forbidden texts from oppressive regimes, protecting an island of outcasts using ancient magic, and toppling empires with just the right speech at just the right time.

If you are familiar with Tarot then The Hidden Isle will resonate with you all the more, but no experience with Tarot is necessary. To help you feel like a mystical oracle and stay inspired, we’ll provide you with tables and guides to help you quickly understand each card draw.

Narrative heavy, rules light. While the game does have rules, their purpose is to enrich and drive your narratives. The game is designed as a collaborative storytelling experience.

Play and character growth intertwined. Each character has a burden—an emotional weight they carry—and an ideal to live up to. Become your truest self, or succumb to your worst impulses.

A vibrant 16th-century world. Dioscoria is described in loving detail, as are major cities of the time such as London, Istanbul and Venice. No historical knowledge is needed.

A wide array of characters. Play as an Illusionist, Scoundrel, Occultist, Prowler, Champion or Hunter. More characters are planned for stretch goals.

GM can plan or improvise. Scenarios can be planned ahead of time by the Seer, or improvised at the start of a session for GMs short on time.

Tarot cards instead of dice. They’re used for everything from scenario inspiration, to character backstories, to divination, to skill checks. No Tarot experience is required. Any deck can be used, but we recommend the Sefirot deck.

Dioscoria: a hidden isle of sages, adventurers, and ancient wisdom. Within the walls of this secret city are gathered the misunderstood, the persecuted, those unjustly punished for the way they live. Here they can flourish, and return to the world to wage their secret war against injustice and ignorance when they are ready.

1562: It is a dangerous and disrupted time. Europe has embraced the innovations of gunpowder, and is using it to tear itself apart along religious lines. The Ottoman Empire is poised to break either Vienna to its west or the Safavid Empire to its east. European colonisers are spreading along the coastlines of the world like a hungry parasite. The Inquisition accuses, tortures and executes its victims across the Catholic world.

It is also a world of alchemy and sorcery. English magicians pry the mysteries of the stars. Ottoman scholars unravel the hidden design of the creator. Dioscorian mystics have mastered techniques to peer beyond the veil of time, and steer the world towards sanity.

Into this maelstrom step the agents of Dioscoria. Dioscoria's actors, magicians, assassins and paladins stand ready to defend the helpless and preserve wisdom. As these agents tackle scheme after scheme, and topple tyrants, cults and demonic forces, will they live up to their ideal selves, or embrace the darker parts of their own humanity?

Character generation: Characters’ backstories—their childhoods, their adult life, their emotional burdens and their ideals—are generated by consulting the Tarot for inspiration.

Burdens and ideals: Every character has a burden and an ideal. These are habits that threaten to engulf you, or values you are striving to live up to. Use them during play to make challenges easier, or become the person you want to be.

Skill checks: The Agent and the Seer each draw a hand of cards, based on the Agent’s skill and the challenge’s difficulty. Each plays a single card; the highest wins. The suit’s skill (swords, wands, cups or pentacles) acts as a trump suit.

Fortune cards: To avert failure, Agents may spend a fortune card to turn a failure into a success. Agents can jump in and help each other when all seems lost.

Solo mode: A favored Stretch Goal has been reached. Now you can play as an Agent in solitaire mode. The Cabinet of Extremis has chosen you to carry out their will on more dangerous missions than regular Agents undertake. You can also find the preliminary rules among the playtest materials.

Visions: Each Agent is blessed before each mission, and can receive glimpses of the past, present or future. Visions can be used to gain useful information, peer into a character’s fate, or add tension and stakes to a scene.

Harm: Harm can be physical or spiritual. Agents are usually harmed because of a failed challenge. Harm can severely impede an Agent, and lead to permanent trauma if untreated.

Abilities: Each character class has unique abilities. Occultists can curse with the evil eye. Performers can imitate their target perfectly. Hunters can spread panic by dispatching their enemies from the shadows. Just make sure your ability isn’t causing you more harm than you can tolerate!

Contacts: Your friends and allies in Dioscoria can help you grow. These personal connections help you train, prepare and reflect on yourself, and can teach you abilities you would otherwise never have access to.

Territories: Dioscoria, and other cities, change over time: in response to player actions, or inspired by Tarot draws. This can create a unique geopolitical landscape: a world that branches off from our own history.

Scenario divination: For GMs who don’t want to prep ahead of time, scenarios can be generated on the fly by drawing Tarot cards and consulting the “Vision guide”. If you chain these scenarios together, you can generate entire campaigns with nothing more than a Tarot deck and a little imagination.

The Hidden Isle is inspired by Forged in the Dark, and its core is formed from that system’s style and dynamics. However, this is not just a reskin with Tarot cards: The Hidden Isle is an original and coherent game with its own feel and rhythm.

Elain Archeron/The seer🌸

I was reading about Norse mythology and came across figures with powers similar to Elain's, which I think further supports the theory of her having both the power of the oracles and the mystics.

The Völva, within Norse mythology, are portrayed as mystical females capable of prophecy, foresight, and magic. They communicate with spirits and gods and are connected to Freyja, the Goddess of love and a warlike divinity.

Their power :

Similar to Elain:

“I saw young hands wither with age. I saw a box of black stone. I saw a feather of fire land on snow and melt it.”

"It was angry,” Elain said quietly. “It was so, so angry that something was taken. So it took something from them as punishment.”

As I'm writing the Oracle class, I'm anticipating that lots of players will want to play a blind character. The trope of the blind oracle or blind seer is fairly popular in folklore and pop culture, and I want to accommodate players making the characters that appeal to them.

To save DMs the headache of trying to figure out how to make a blind character mechanically balanced, I'm including this optional feature in the Oracle class. If a player chooses to make their character blind, they gain 30 feet of blindsight and can spend class resources to extend that range for a short time.

For flavor, I also included the table of possible eye appearances, for players who want the nature of the blindness to be a bit more mystical.

That said, I am currently a sighted person. I'm considering hiring a sensitivity reader further down the line, but for now I figure I might as well run it by others to see what people think.

Worth noting that the blindsight offered here does not negate the mechanical effects of being blind. Characters that take this feature will still be unable to do certain things such as see distant objects or observe writing/images on surfaces.

Starting when you reach 2nd level in this class, you can use a prediction to expend 1 fate point and increase the range of your blindsight to 60 feet for 1 minute. This range increases to 90 feet at 5th level, to 120 feet at 11th level, and to 300 feet at 17th level. If you choose to be blind this way, determine the appearance of your eyes manually or by rolling on the Eyes of the Sightless Seer table below.

Bird of prophecy

I’ve talked a lot about Elain’s connection to the myth of Blodeuwedd, a spring maiden transformed into an owl. A long time ago, I also stumbled across the Gamayun in Slavic mythology, which is associated with other bird-maidens (like Sirin, which comes from the Greek Siren). The Gamayun is a half-bird, half-woman of prophecy. She symbolizes knowledge and wisdom and acts as a divine messenger. This bird-maiden originates from the Huma in Iranian mythology. According to legend, the Huma flies invisibly above the earth and its shadow foretells the next king when there is no heir. It is depicted as a combination of creatures like a mighty griffin. It would be fitting if Elain, who is canonically wise and prophetic, traveled like the Huma: a fusion of animal forms and invisible to all. The Cauldron travels that way, and it would be appropriate (and badass) for a divine messenger to mimic the power it gave her. All those with the gift of Sight we’ve met in the Maasverse—Baba Yellowlegs, the oracle, and shapeshifter mystic—also seem to navigate more than one form, even if it only involves iron teeth and claws. Could Elain also possess her own bird-maiden form as a seer? Or will her flight through time and space remain mental? Only time will tell.

Hello, today I had a talk with someone who told me about how Elaine's powers are similar to CC's the mystics.How powers are necessary, darkness and light diminishes them. I must admit that I have only read the Acotar saga, but since I think you may have read the other sagas, you can answer my question. Because if her powers of vision needs the darkness how it could influence Elain to begin to renounce the light and move more into the darkness

Hello! I'm a bit shaky with CC as it is, but I'll try to recall what I can. I don't think Elain is a mystic at all, at least canonically. She hasn't shown that side of powers to the full extent that CC does. CC has separated all the psychic powers into different categories. The Oracle has a gift for foresight and seems like a different race, described as being Sphinxes. Witches are known to have seers and necromancers, while mystics travel from world to world.

Mystics need a fire sprite with them to help navigate when they go into Hel, as another form of protection. They have not shown they have the gift of foresight, considering they spent a lot of time trying to search for where Bryce is.

We have seen Elain locate the suriel, so it might be another Mandela-like effect where it's similar but different, since ACOTAR and CC are different worlds. But what I do find interesting is that her mate's father seems to possess a similar ability.

Rhys’s eyes had gone distant for a moment, and I knew Amren was on her way, the Book in tow. To help Nesta track that Cauldron—or try to. He could explain to Mor. He’d only known I was gone after the battle stopped—when he realized Mor had been fighting. And that I was not at the camp anymore. He’d just reached Elain’s tent when Helion sent word he’d found me. Using whatever gift he possessed that allowed him to sense such things. And was bringing me back. Vague, brief details.

Also, considering that Elain immediately had a vision after her mate, who happens to be the heir of the Day Court, felt her through their bond, tells me that she needs the opposite for her powers.

Elain's powers go dormant when Lucien stopped coming around, mirroring Nessian. Nesta knows she still has her powers but has not been able to properly channel them until she was with Cassian.

She didn't Make her apartment into a home, but she did Make the House of Wind as a friend. Nesta also Made her weapons when Cassian brought her to a blacksmith, and Cassian oversaw her training to where her silver flames become part of the attack. It wasn't until after her bond snapped that she Made the charms of the bracelets.

Feyre too needed Rhysand to help navigate her daemati powers, as that seems to be a closely guarded secret that only those who are aware of them can guard themselves against.

Is it also much of a coincidence that Elain expressed that she wishes to get reacquainted with her powers when we know Lucien does come up to Velaris to meet with Rhys privately regarding Tamlin?

So, saying that her visions need darkness is canonically false, considering that her powers started getting more coherent and stronger whenever her Day Court heir mate is around. They became so strong that Azriel picked up on what they were after it happened, even though Feyre figured out what they were but didn't know their name.

When he isn't there, her mind resembles a garden in need of sunlight. When it became time that she needed it, she said she needed to get acquainted with her powers. A shadowsinger did nothing but deter her from helping, even getting her powers back. And she still cried and was scared when Feyre was close to dying, when she could have foreseen an outcome.

On top of that, Lucien has shown to be just as psychically inclined as she is. Instances include him warning Feyre not to stab him in the back in ACOTAR, which played out in ACOWAR. He knew when and where the big battle would occur, allowing them to come in last minute with two armies. He also told Tamlin that he'll be expecting Rhys in ACOSAF, and he even opened the door before Cassian knocked in ACOSF.

Az likes to help with things he knows, such as teaching Feyre how to fly while understanding the mental blocks she may face from learning too late, and helping Gwyn learn more about daggers and what she is doing wrong with cutting the ribbon.

His shadows do tend to disappear when Elain is around, so I guess he can't help her when his main source of those powers, which people love to connect them together with, doesn't want to be around her.

Have I gotten over Batgirls ending? No, I haven't.   But there are a few things that give me peace when it comes to Cass still remaining as Batgirl for the future.

This does feel different than say 2006, 2009, and 2011. I feel okay here and not this overwhelming fear of dread or concern like in either of those years. The reasons being--

#1 Spirit World has her in it and as Batgirl. Six months (so far) of Cass as Batgirl in it. I'm square with that. Do I want the series to last longer than six issues? YES! I love Alyssa Wong writing Cass and gimme more of Haining drawn-Cass, please!

Also, it looks like we're getting Dustin Nguyen variants for each issue. Took DC long enough to do more of this and if you aren't getting this series for all of the above-mentioned which is mystical antics with Cass teaming with Xanthe and Constantine-- then COME ON?!

#2 DC and more importantly WB is pushing the character.  We have a variation of Cass coming next week with Batman: The Doom that Came to Gotham and of course Bat Wheels has her too!

While neither is embracing the comic version, I'm actually okay with both interpretations.  Um...  cute my spoilerish thoughts on that.

I really want a sequel short with an older Ka Li Cain suiting up as a Bat to combat a new mystical threat that ends up with BATman helping her. There are so many seeds throughout that showcase Kai Li is just as resourceful like Bruce was in the animated movie.

GIMME THAT FAN ART PLEASE ARTISTS!!

Then there's the James Gunn factor. The tease a month ago with him saying four characters Bleeding Cool listed should be in his universe. Cass does have good odds and the comic market might be agreeing.

Literally, searching now for Cass on eBay, the market is speccing HARD that she'll be showing up. They do get some things wrong, but my gut says this might happen. We have Cass in various things above and if is next-gen it makes sense for her to be Batgirl in Brave & the Bold.

Really my one fear is the latest teaser had Babs as Batgirl (no Cass or Steph). Literally, this was my third clue something bad was happening to Batgirls...

It also feels so wrong that each hero has a generational link save well Babs in this teaser (save to Bruce). Literally, you could've easily put Cass in there and it ease some more minds.

But that leads me to one thing. I feel like Stephanie Brown is getting the short straw. I love the character, and I feel like if someone is getting shorted it's her sadly.

Cass has so much going still, but Steph? *cricket chirps* Literally, she should be involved in a comic too and I guess all we have is her helping Jason in the Joker ongoing.

Again, I feel like DC Comics fumbled the ball with Batgirls, particularly with Babs in those early issues, and because of that it never caught on until the later ones.

I don't mind Babs in Nightwing as Batgirl or Oracle. I've more at peace of her balancing BOTH identities. Just that when she becomes Batgirl it SHOULD be a "business has about to have picked up" moment.

Babs as Batgirl shouldn't job (and if she is it's something she shouldn't have a chance against aka what Batman vs. Robin did last month. I can’t believe I’m saying something positive on this comic).

It should be treated as a MOMENT. Really #13 gave us just that. A moment where Bruce/Babs/Zee helped out Cass/Steph. Also the tease in this week's issue is also good (more on that another day).

The biggest problem Batgirls had in those early issues was Babs stealing the spotlight from Cass/Steph and Seer in #5-8).  If you had Cass/Steph beating the Saints, Tutor, and Spellbinder. Add depth to Seer in #7-8?

We might have talked differently about this comic. But I'm not gonna fault the writers. They were given things beyond their control and did the best they could.

Clearly, #9 to now shows they can deliver some good stuff.  The problem is... a good chunk bailed prior. I just wish DC gave Batgirls a better chance.  I think all three characters are OWED that. After all the shenanigans done to them in the last TWENTY YEARS.

But the stuff I said earlier does make me feel at least comfortable that Cass can boomerang back. Because as I said numerous times over.

I'll cherish these next issues more so now. If this truly is the end of this comic. Because this comic for all its faults was a GIFT. May not have been a flawless one it still was a gift. I'll keep treasuring it. #Batgirls4life.

How can a skywing elf have oracle powers?

An interesting question, since we don't actually know what oracle powers entail.

We generally think of an oracle as someone or something that can supernaturally predict the future, but going back to its roots it's both a bit more specific and a bit more broad. An oracle receives messages, usually in the form of visions, directly from the divine. This is as opposed to a seer, who interprets messages from the divine conveyed in the flight of birds, the shape of entrails in a sacrifice, etc. You also had people who did both, presumably just to make things more confusing. The association with the future is because... that's generally what people want divine knowledge about.

(What's the difference between an oracle and a prophet? As far as I can tell, it's mostly the route an individual example has taken in translation through several ancient languages to modern English. "Prophet" comes from a Greek word used to translate a Hebrew one, while "oracle" comes from Latin.)

The only other reference to an oracle in TDP, as far as I'm aware, is the Oracles of Ophidia, an Elarion-era group who are described as the origin of the true-sight serum Viren (unsuccessfully) uses in an attempt to discover the nature of the mirror. The oracles used the serum, which was harvested from eyeless vipers in total darkness, and would be ruined by any exposure to moonlight (the Moon being the primal source associated with illusions, naturally), to "see through the illusions of the world."

Supernatural "sight" of the future or truth is frequently associated with blindness or the release of normal sight in mythology and (by extension) fantasy, and TDP carries that theme—the blindfold of justice allowing true equality, the mirror which can only be seen through in darkness, the film over Viren's eye that lets him see Aaravos's illusions but arguably impairs his reason. Now we have the blindfolded Celestial elves, an order of Skywing elves who are guardians of Star primal magic, which is the primal associated with destiny, truth, time, etc. as well as the stars and Startouch elves being associated with divinity. We have yet to learn whether they might be blindfolded in order to perceive the will and messages of the stars, or to see through them and not be deceived.

Because the Celestial elves are winged Skywing elves, and Plotice is a winged Skywing elf, he could very well be a part of or adjacent to that order. He's also characterized as not just an oracle, but a luminous oracle, which is not a very Sky primal-y description but a reasonable Star primal-y one. However, he lacks any of the other design characteristics we've seen of Celestial elves so far, most notably the blindfold. This could be indicative of his personal hubris—maybe he left the order or works at the fringes of it, enjoying a powerful and mystical reputation instead of anonymous secrecy, and is therefore spiritually blinded. It could also just indicate that he has no association with them at all.

The other thing about Plotice is that he discovers spells, presumably Sky primal spells. This is significant in that a) the full scope of primal rune magic has not been reached/explored, and b) spells are discovered, not invented. You could say that he's essentially receiving spells (knowledge or messages) from the primal source itself, and conveying them to the people. That's functionally being an oracle for the primal source as a divinity that only has very specific things to say. I think it would be interesting if the discovery of new rune spells was associated with divine knowledge granted to an otherwise largely unremarkable individual, rather than something achieved through the study and power of an archmage.

Anyway, it's not really a question of whether he can be described as an oracle, but that we have no idea what that means.

Druid Coven

You are affiliated with a group that offers a feature at 1st, 6th, and 13th level. In addition, each group has an optional boon that they can earn at 20th level at the DM's discretion. You can join one of the following druid covens of your choice as your group: Seers, Whisperers, or Witches.

Seers

The seers spend their time peering into the future and advising those who rely on their wisdom and foresight. Your affiliation with this coven allows you to gain an audience with people in positions of power that might otherwise dismiss the words of a druid.

Portent of the Coven (1st Level). When you spend at least 7 days of downtime with your druid coven, you can roll a d20 and record the number rolled at the end of that downtime. You can replace any attack roll, saving throw, or ability check made by you or a creature that you can see with this foretelling roll. You must choose to do so before the roll, and you can replace a roll in this way only once.When you gain a new foretelling roll from your coven features, you lose any unused foretelling roll.

Oracle Spells (6th Level). All spells from the divination school of magic are added to the druid spell list for you.

Revelation (13th Level). As an action, you can gain a new foretelling roll as per your Portent of the Coven feature. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you spend at least 7 days of downtime with your druid coven.

Boon of Truesight (Boon). You have truesight out to a range of 60 feet.

Whisperers

The coven of the whisperers shares ancient secrets among its members, as well as collecting rumors of current events. Your coven will tell you rumors in druidic, and at times you will see their hidden marks across the world, indicating the presence of a secret.

Magical Secret (1st Level). Choose one spell from any class. The spell you choose must be of a level you can cast, as shown on the Druid table, or a cantrip. The chosen spell counts as druid spell for you, you always have it prepared, and it doesn't count against the number of druid spells you can prepare. If you spend at least 7 days of downtime with your druid coven, you can replace this spell with a different one.

Whispers (6th Level). You learn the message cantrip. It counts as a druid spell for you, and it doesn't count against the number of druid cantrips you know. For you, it has a range of 300 feet and isn't blocked by stone or wood.

Lost Knowledge (13th Level). You can cast the legend lore spell without expending a spell slot or any material components. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you spend at least 7 days of downtime with your druid coven.

Quiet Speech (Boon). You can speak while in the area of a silence spell, and you can choose to cause other creatures to hear you when you do so.

Alternatively, Quiet Speech may give telepathy out to a range of 120 feet.

Witches

The members of your coven conduct rituals to accomplish mystical goals, both together and on their own. You can expect your coven to help you find answers to your questions as often as you answer the questions of your fellow coven members.

Witch's Expertise (1st Level). Choose Arcana, Nature, or Religion. Your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make that uses the chosen proficiency. If you spend at least 7 days of downtime with your druid coven, you can change this proficiency out for the other.

Ritualist (6th Level). You can cast a druid spell as a ritual if that spell has the ritual tag and is of a level for which you can prepare druid spells. You no longer have to have the spell prepared. In addition, the extra time it takes you to cast a druid spell as a ritual is reduced from 10 minutes to 1 minute.

Arcane Magic (13th Level). As an action, you can create the effects of one wizard spell of 5th level or lower, as if cast as a 5th-level spell, without casting the spell. If the spell normally has a casting time of 1 bonus action, you can use this feature as a bonus action instead Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you spend at least 7 days of downtime with your druid coven.

Coven Magic (Boon). When you cast a spell of 1st level through 5th level, you can expend a spell slot of the appropriate level from a willing creature within 30 feet of you rather than one of your own spell slots.
