Since I found out I am, in fact, allowed to continue drawing fanart, here’s more doodles that are supposed to be for the mawsm bfu au (which is slowly beginning to turn into the ‘jimmy and lois are convinced clark is a cryptid, despite the overwhelming evidence that he’s superman’ au) but this could honestly work for canon too LMAO

TADC Ep 2 - Depression and the Meaning of Life
Well, I may or may not be a day late to release of the episode, but I've watched it three times so far and I have some thoughts. Let's get the gritty stuff outta the way.
First of all, The Amazing Digital Circus belongs to @gooseworx and therefore everything I say here is just my personal take on the episode. I could be wrong, talking out my ass, etc. But this episode really spoke to me, so good job Goose.
Secondly, spoilers <3
Third, I think I've written enough that people won't get jumpscared with spoilers. This is gonna be a long read, so bear with me. This post will contain ALL my thoughts on the episode, both meaningful and just silly things I liked.
BUBBLE
Tumblr media
So anyone who knows me from Bunnydoll Burrow knows I love Bubble. They're my favorite so far and this episode only cemented that further. They're wonderful comedic relief and even if they don't have any character development (which I don't think they will), I will always love them.
Tumblr media
Caine Cares Too Much
Tumblr media
While watching this, I was immediately off-put by Caine's reactions, even beginning with him calling Zooble back. He sounds so... dire? I don't know if that was intended to mean something or if it was just to put emphasis on how much Caine cares about his creations. Caine is AI, so world-building is likely his ONLY goal, or his prompt if you will. It wouldn't surprise me if that was why he was so upset by everyone's reactions.
Tumblr media
But I can't help but wonder if this will play into his character arc. We understand that Caine is ambiguous right now and there's no real explanation of what his intentions are in the Circus. Something about this just really set me off. It made me feel unsafe in a way as if staying behind would result in danger of some kind. Obviously, it couldn't be that bad, as Zooble did stay behind and turned out fine. Still, I can't shake the feeling that this is foreshadowing.
Zoobie
Tumblr media
Hilarious. What a solid nickname, I've seen so many headcanons that Zooble would be a stoner in the real world. This only makes it better. They are now Zoobie in my mind.
Pomni's Child Comment
Tumblr media
While I'm sure this was just a silly comment to be made, I kinda liked it. Just a little in-show reminder that through all of this, Pomni is a real, grown-ass woman stuck inside some digital Hell. The whole first episode, we see her wallowing and panicking, justifiably so. Finally, we get to see her grow more serious and stable.
Through the episode, we see more of her being a good character and becoming more at terms with her situation. I'll touch on this more soon.
Gangle
Tumblr media
My girl CANNOT catch a break. Gangle is such a funny character and so, so sweet. She's level-headed in my opinion, even through her emotions. She seems to have a good grip on the shit happening around her but has a hard time communicating properly because she has a lot of feelings going on. Me too, honey, me too.
Tumblr media
Even in the face of violence, danger, and overall shitfuckery, she doesn't shut down. Sure, she cries. But I've cried plenty of times while still holding the fort down. I think I just relate to her.
Tumblr media
Lastly, I NEED to know what this means like I need oxygen.
Government Mandated Shipping
Tumblr media
I dunno man, I just really liked this. I'm a shipper at heart. I've been writing fanfic since middle school. I saw pure fanfic material when I watched this scene.
Kinger and Raggs
Tumblr media
This scene made me smile. It's a cute nod towards how Kinger is the longest-standing character and, according to some lost post of Goose's, Ragatha is the second. Plus, all of episodes one and two, we see her trying so hard to be a rock for Pomni. She tries to include everyone, keep everyone cheerful, and be a stable constant in a realm of chaos; Seeing Kinger recognize how far she's come and using that to bring her back to reason was just so refreshing. Ragatha deserves more appreciation like that: less about what she does for others, and more about what she's done for herself.
Jax's Disappointment
Tumblr media
So we don't know much about Jax besides how Goose loves him and says he's an asshole who may or may not be irredeemable. When he started talking about violence and getting excited at the thought, I chalked it up to him being an ass. But it struck me just how much this mattered to Jax in this scene. I have questions, man. But I'm about to go on a wild tangent, so hear me out.
Jax is happy when being destructive. He gets immediately upset when things go well. And in the circus, we can assume that there have been a lot of traumatic, wild things that have occurred. I wonder if the chaos, the violence, is a comfort for Jax because of those traumatic experiences. As a person with trauma, I've learned that there's a funny cycle that I and other traumatized people experience.
We don't like the situations we're in, but when faced with normalcy, it's so much scarier than the damaging situation we come from. So, we run from 'normal' back into the suffocating arms of our traumatizing situations for comfort. Going back to the situation means more trauma, more trauma means a harder time finding peace in a safe, normal environment, which means more trauma... you get the picture.
So am I saying a fictional purple bunny is using violence in a digital realm to cope with the very real topic of trauma? Maybe. Yes. Yes, I am. This is how I cope.
Depression, Finding Your Place, and the Bigger Picture
Now you may be saying, "hey! You skipped over some major scenes to talk about silly stuff! What gives?"
Well, as the title of this post suggests, I had some heavier stuff to address in this episode and wanted to compile it all in one section. So that meant skipping over a scene to bunch it in with other ones. I'll break it down.
Depression
Tumblr media
Let me begin with the fact that I have been diagnosed with depression for years now. I've been hospitalized for it and I've had family members struggle with it around me. This heavily influenced how I viewed this episode and specifically this scene.
Gummigoo had a perfectly reasonable reaction to seeing the perfect replica of him that is his model. Seeing something like that would shatter your world, and we see that happen to him immediately.
But when Gummigoo talked to Pomni and asked why anything matters, it gave me this really familiar feeling. Thoughts of being nothing, of feeling meaningless, the mere idea of being an obstacle--I've experienced all of these. I'm sure others have. Pomni was right when she said it's normal. Everyone has felt down from time to time.
But what Gummigoo is talking about really hit home with my depression. Thoughts like these, especially when they linger for long, change how you view the world. Everything is tinted blue and desaturated. You feel empty and eventually, so does the world around you. You feel like when the party is over and everyone leaves, you disappear--or you think you should, at least.
"Why are you trying to cheer me up? How does this benefit you at all?"
And it's so, so hard to accept help when feeling like this. Depression is a bitch in the way that it wants you to stay depressed. It feels like everyone around you wants you to feel better because it is a convenience for them. It almost feels transactional if you smile.
But Pomni says it so beautifully; "I guess I just don't want you to feel like you're nothing. I don't want anybody to feel like that."
The way she says it makes me feel like she knows the feeling too, and in reality, she says she does understand in a way how Gummigoo feels. But that? That made it real for me. I don't know why. This whole scene, the entrapment and loneliness despite not actually being alone, just embodied how I've felt for years. What amazing writing.
Finding Your Place
Tumblr media
This scene was really the cherry on top of everything I just spoke about. We see that these two understand each other, at least as much as they can. They recognize all of this, it's ridiculous. They're hurtling through space into the unknown, hoping everything works out. They may feel empty, but they're not alone. They've got each other, for better or worse. Maybe they don't know where they belong in this liminal space, but they know where they stand in each other's minds.
Tumblr media
And then we get this ending scene. God. Fuck.
I knew that there was obviously something to that dream Pomni had in the beginning, but somehow I didn't expect this to be the conclusion to it. I guess I was too distracted by everything else. So when I got to this shot, I got all warm and teary-eyed.
Pomni finally feels like she's got a pack, a place in this digital circus. When you don't feel mentally alone anymore, there seems to be a weight that's lifted off your shoulders. It doesn't cure the sadness, but at least you know that if you need to be picked up, someone will be there. Depression wants you to be alone, but it just lost that battle. The internet has said it best: A win is a win.
Tumblr media
The Bigger Picture
Tumblr media
We all know where the end of the road is. How we get there is the mystery. This thought can really make a person feel small, especially when depression comes in to tell you that you in fact are small, according to the chemicals in your brain. But the power of numbers and knowing your place in the world makes facing the unknown a little easier.
I'll be honest, the words are kinda lost on me at this point. Our demise is a really hard topic to broach. I've lost a lot of people, especially some major players in my life (shoutout to the Dead Dads club), and still, I don't understand it all. But the best way I can explain it is through my own experience and how I applied it to this episode.
I had for a long time gone through life trying to prepare and prepare. I played the role of the strong, unaffected individual after being hardened by trauma in childhood. I didn't want to be outwardly emotional, because if I was I would have to admit defeat.
Tumblr media
It made me feel weak, especially when my depression would whisper nasty things to me about my self-worth. The bigger picture at that time didn't even exist in my mind. I lived to serve and die. It was no way to live.
Only recently, with time, a couple grippy sock vacays and therapy have I started to form my own, new big picture. At the center of this is my interactions with others. Family, friends, and strangers, all of them are affected by my actions. Even during the days when I feel worthless or alone, I remind myself that even the little things I do have a spiderweb effect. I have worth, more so than serving others or being some obstacle. I can simply walk down the street and perhaps I'll be the person who some kid looks at and hopes to look like when they're older. My existence is so much more than just a give-and-take situation with everyone around me.
It felt like Pomni found her purpose in the circus, and it was more than just playing along until the end. Rather, it was to befriend the people around her who have proved in one way or another way that they care. Abstraction wasn't in vain to them. Lives mattered, and therefore so did Pomni.
Tumblr media
In a vast, digital world where chaos looms like a grey cloud, Pomni always mattered. She just had to realize how, and it was much more than being an obstacle or a pawn. And so do we, I think.

GREAT NEWS BUCCHIGIRI?! FANDOM!!! IT SEEMS LIKE THE WRITING TEAM DECIDED TO RELEASE ALL OF THE MAIN CAST’S BIRTHDATES AND THEIR PERSONAL LIVES!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Let’s look at Arajin and Matakara’s revealed bio:
Arajin’s birthday is on the 6th June. It is also confirmed that he does have a Dad around but where he is kind of unknown.
Matakara’s birthday is on the 7th April. Asides from Mitsukuni, there’s no mention of where the Asamine’s parents are. Though, Episode 2 mentions that they have relatives but whether they’re biological or adopted is kind of up to interpretation.
Tumblr media
Senya even has a revealed birthdate which is 21st June but his relatives are never mentioned tho then again, being a genie or mythical being, I doubt Senya even has relatives to begin with or maybe he has but many centuries have passed and they could’ve been long gone. Blood type is never mentioned but maybe it didn’t matter to him, since again he is a genie.
Next up we have the Best Friends©️*
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Zabu’s birthday is on the 10th May. He is confirmed to have parents and an older sister. Although, I did someone on X/Twitter in the JP fandom making fanart of Zabu and his unseen older sister before meaning that somewhere along the way prior to the revealed bio, someone got info of Zabu having an older sis (I think at least?)
Komao’s birthday is revealed to be on the 14th December. Boy does he have a large family: He has grandparents, his parents, 3 little brothers and 2 little sisters. Which makes him the oldest one in the family. Makes you wonder what is Komao’s family life like.
Then we have the Jin siblings and Outa!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Marito’s birthday happens to be on the 15th March, which is one day after White Day (a male equivalent of Valentines Day in Japan). Funny how both siblings are born on special days that centers around love.
Mahoro’s we already knew but what is interesting is that the bio confirms that both her and Marito’s parents are around. But what kind of relationship she and Marito has with their parents are unknown but given her brocon behaviour, it might be that their parents are neglectful or abusive. Or that Mahoro is just a huge ass weirdo around Marito and their parents are ordinary people.
Outa’s birthday is on the 10th August. He is confirmed to have parents and a little brother. And it’s also pretty obvious that having a subtle lion motif to him, his star sign is a Leo. (I apologize I can’t say much about Outa given how I don’t feel his character too strongly compared to the rest and how he was sidelined pretty early on but he’s neat I’ll say)
I wish I could’ve added Akutaro, Jabashiri and Hagure to the list but I already ran out of limit on this post. 🥲 So I added in the main leads, the sole main female character, the ones that are promoted by merch a lot (Marito and Outa) and personal favs.
*: I say Best Friends because prior to Arajin moving back to Honki City and patching up his friendship with Matakara, I felt that Zabu and Komao were kind of like ride and die with each other and Matakara. Also I like them ok?

I Found You***
Crosshair X F!Reader
word count: 4.3k
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It had been a long time since you last saw Clone Force 99 - so how do you react when you tend to the new Imperial Crosshair? And how does Crosshair feel when you, his long-time crush aids him to health? Can you convince him to change or is it too late for this Solitary Soldier.
warnings: spoilers for episode 3 bad batch S2 - NSFW, 18+ ONLY explicit sexual content. Angst, mentions of malnourishment and injury as well as medical procedures but nothing gory or in full detail. Imperial Crosshair (obvs, the silly little bear). Soft smut, creampie, swearing, praises, p in v, fingering, comfort. Not proofread, a little messy.
Masterlist 🤍
Tumblr media
Despite the darkness of your quarters, your eyes still burned once they opened from your feeble attempt at sleep. Every night, your mind was occupied with the decisions you have made leading up to now - as if your brain was screaming at you but with no thoughts which left you feeling restless.
The shrill alarm sounded, making you flinch only momentarily before you sat up from your uncomfortable bed and got ready for the day.
Deciding it’s probably best to avoid breakfast today, since it made your stomach churn in disgust whenever the drool was dropped on your plate, you head straight to the Medbay, clocked in and prepared to see what the day had in store.
Whenever you got a break, you would move to the break room and mostly keep to yourself but when one of your colleagues came over, an insensitive and cruel medic with a smirk on her face you knew she had something to spill. “So, did you hear?”
You had pretended not to see her coming so look up at her from your spot on a stool and raise a brow. “Hear what?”
“About that Clone we picked up from Kamino? Fool was there for 32 rotations, something like that.” She said with a laugh as if it was any kind of funny. For you however, your heart panged in ache at the thought.
You worked for the GAR for many years and seeing how the New Galactic Empire took over, there was no mistaking that they were trying to burn out all the Clones for their replacements. The Clones in your mind were the true heroes of the war, although it seemed as if they have now failed. They were always so kind to you and it only made you think about those special Clones you used to see whenever they returned to Coruscant.
“That long, huh? That’s horrible. Is he doing alright?” You try to seem unbothered as showing weakness was seen as a bad thing when it came to working for the Empire. But you just can’t help but feel like you should sprint to him, tend to him hand and foot. Just any sign of comfort.
She shrugged, rolling her eyes. “Don’t know, don’t care. Think they said he was unconscious the last time I checked.” Although you hated it when you awoke, you’re pleased to hear that alarm blare so this so-called ‘medic’ can get out your face.
Seeing your rota, you knew that you and some time to spare before you checked back on your other clients so you made it your mission to go seek out this Clone.
You asked around, getting half-arsed answers in return but when you found his room, you could not believe your eyes.
You had seen him so many times before, always in the distance, always lurking around when you tended to his brothers but never him. There was no forgetting his tall, slender and lean frame and that recognisable tattoo. Although, it did not even look like him. Not at first glance anyway.
You stepped towards the bed, looking at his vitals and grimacing to see how dehydrated he was - no wonder there were several drips attached to him.
“Oh Crosshair… what happened to you?” You mumbled to yourself. His hair was buzzed, clearly the burn on the side of his head was a lot to answer for but his face was ragged with unkempt stubble. Cheeks were more gaunt than usual and his complexion was weak.
As you heard, he was unconscious for the time being or so placed in a small coma for the time being. And so you made it your duty to check back on him every day until he was up. You had wondered what happened to the unit before Order 66 came through and you had hoped for them to disobey it so… why was he alone?
You pondered it a little while more and decided to do some rooting. When you discover that he alone stood by the Empire whereas his brothers had ‘violated’ the Order, you feel sick. But, those feelings had to be put aside as a certain someone finally woke up.
The sound of him groaning got your attention foremost so you place down the datafile you were reading through and come to his side quickly. “Try not to panic. You are in safe hands.” You say in a calm voice, not wanting the sight of an unfamiliar(?) face to make him thrash around.
His eyes open slowly, adjusting to the blinding light that shone down on him. “Where… where am I?”
“You are on Daro. A squad had located you on Kamino and we discovered you had been there for a total of 32 rotations. So please, try to stay calm whilst I call in someone else for good measure.” He hears you, but he can’t see you. He feels your presence and your voice… so familiar yet so unrecognisable. It isn’t long until his eyes slipped back closed and let the feeling of rest and uncertain safety take care of him.
Few hours later, he wakes back up once more and this time more alert than the last. The light above him had dimmed so he could just about make out the room he was in. It was dark, a complete contrast to the medical facilities when he served in the Republic but not everything had changed.
His heart stills when his eyes land on you, a familiar face that could only mean that it was your voice he had heard. But, when he looks at you he can only think of them. His brothers.
You were stationed on Coruscant most of the time but it was always a nice surprise to see you on Kamino whenever they arrived back. Typically their med-checks were with you which became more frequent when Echo had joined since he didn’t want a droid scanning him. However, he wouldn’t let you near him most of the time. If he had no issues then he thought it was pointless seeing a medic so he would sit back and quite often sit in regret as he watched you care for his brothers. And now here we was, looking the worse he ever could with you by his side.
Feeling something burning into the side of your cheek, you look up from the datapad to see his eyes, narrowed and trained on you. “Oh, you’re awake!” You cross over to him, grabbing a small torch and look down over him. “How do you feel?”
As soon as you ask, his body cried out in a horrible aching pain and you see him wince as he tries to sit up but you reach out and place a hand to his shoulder and gently push him back down. “Please refrain from moving at the time being, I can get you some pain relief for the pain.”
You move away which gives him another chance to look at you, a bit in shock and awe that you were really here. When you return, he looks away and that’s when you administer him the relief.
“I’m going to shine a light into your eye to evaluate your responses so please follow my instructions.”
Your voice is soft, so different to the shouting and strict ordering he had been used to. Maybe that is why he would rather watch you at work with the others than talk to you. Kriff, he usually had something snarky to say but at this very moment, he was silent.
“Look up - very good. And now look to your left.” He follows your instructions and to his relief, his eyes appear fine. He wouldn’t know what to do with himself if his enchantment would deteriorate.
“You,” he looks back at you with narrowed eyes, seeing a somewhat awkward yet soft smile on your lips as you pack things away, “you probably don’t remember me. But I used to be a medic for your old unit-.”
Then he said your name, low and somewhat made chills run down your arms and legs. “Oh, you do know me then. That’s good.” You move around to the other side of him, keeping your voice level.
“Why are you here?” He asks, with a hint of judgment. You didn’t miss his sharp tone but at the same time, you did.
You blink at him and laugh shortly. “Because you’re not well and I need to make sure you’re fit and healthy-.”
“No,” he cuts you off for the second time in the space of a minute, “what are you doing here? With the Empire?”
Suddenly you’re playing with the torch in your hands, indecisively thinking of your reply. Why were you here? You hated everything the Empire stood for but there was something, a little something that made you stay: the Clones.
“Money pays okay and I have a roof over my head.” You decide on, lying through your teeth but convincingly.
Crosshair stares at you a little while longer but closing his eyes and letting out a deep sigh. “Perhaps rest for a while longer… I need to come up with a recovery report and preparation for you.”
“I need to carry on leading a squad.” He hissed.
“You’re definitely not in any shape or form to do so CT-9904.” When you say his number rather than his name, he looks at you and he almost looks insulted. You had said their names a thousand times before but why is it different now? Oh wait, everything is different now .
“Crosshair is fine.” He says sternly but there is a somewhat bitterness in your voice as you reply.
“Not anymore, remember? You’re only a number to the Empire.”
Tumblr media
Crosshair made a recovery and although it was not as quick as he would like, it was somewhat nice to see him being able to walk without stumbling and hold enough food in his stomach without feeling sick. You would go with him to training, watching him perform and when he made a seemingly good comeback, you would report it back to one of the Admirals.
“When do you think I’ll be ready?”
You’re both walking back to your own rooms, the evening drawing near. “Soon. I can’t give an exact date but you’re doing well.”
It had been a few weeks since he first saw you again and those strange feelings came flooding back. Your sweetness, good looks and quick-wit was always something he had liked and it was good to see that it hadn’t changed. But, there was something that you said that hung in the back of your mind. Truthfully, he did not believe you when you had the reason as to why you stayed with the Empire.
He is a soldier, trained for this and he stayed yet you weren’t that. He had hung back and watched you when he moved to a shared medical bay and saw how you interacted with each of the Clones and then their ‘replacements’ he had heard one of them call themselves. With the Clones, you were relaxed and tentative yet with the others, there was hostility.
“Tell me something, why do you act differently with me?” He finally asked, stopping outside his room and turning to you.
“Different how?” You ask, raising a brow.
“You’re unsympathetic to the others, yet with Clones you ain’t.” You try to avoid how strong his gaze was on you, his frame completely shrouding your view.
You find yourself looking down at your boots, fingers trembling just slightly. “I don’t know what you mean.”
“Course you do.” He places his fingers to your chin, tilting your head up to look at him that makes your breath shudder. “You can tell me,” he looks around first before he leans down to you, forehead almost touching you, “I don’t bite.”
Your senses are overpowered now, your heart beating a little faster but with a stroke of somewhat unfortunate circumstances, an alarm starts to blare. He hums, almost amused and takes a step back. “See you in the morning.”
Tumblr media
You did see him the next morning, then the next, then the next until you didn’t. When you heard he had been assigned a mission, you felt rather bittersweet. You felt proud that you managed to nurse him back to his full health but then you thought about what he would have had to do.
When he came back, he seemed cold. Colder than usual. He would pass you in the hall but not say a word anymore. Something had changed when he got back to working and you needed to know what.
It’s 0000 hours and you have been staring at the ceiling of your room for the last twenty minutes, mind swirling with thoughts and those thoughts were mainly of Crosshair. Little were you aware however, his thoughts had consisted of you, too.
Sighing, you sit up and tie your hair back out of your face before standing and deciding a walk may be best for now - at least you could clear your mind. But as the door hissed open, you gasp audibly to see someone standing right outside.
“Kark you scared me!” You place a hand to your chest, heaving.
Crosshair looks at you, a little apologetic like but that’s not what he’s here for. “A word?”
His voice is quiet, hoarse and his eyes flickered from the right of the hall, then the left and then to you. All night he had been tossing and turning, replaying Commander Cody’s words in his mind.
“S-sure, uh, come in?” You step aside, ignoring the feeling of how his hand brushed against your arm as he stepped into your room.
“Nice room.” He comments sarcastically to which you humour him for a false laugh.
“Ha-ha. What do you want?” You fold your arms over your chest because truth be told, you were quite annoyed with him. After all this time you’ve helped him and now he just ignores you? Rude.
He senses your spite but doesn’t bite into it, instead, he answers your question. “I… I needed to talk to someone. For advice.”
“Advice on what, exactly?” He watches as you tilt your head and he can’t help but almost sigh dreamily at the sight of it. You’re cute, too cute for him anyway.
“Do the Clones speak to you about anything personal?” His question confuses you and your jaw slacks a little.
“I can’t discuss personal matters of others with someone else who is not in charge - that would be breaking confidentiality.”
“Not stuff like that,” he growls, shortly growing agitated but he should have known better and corrected himself first, “I mean do they speak about them questioning their orders?”
You pause and think for a moment before saying, “Yeah, some had mentioned that the Empire is questionable… What do you think, CT-9904?“
“Stop calling me that.” He snaps abruptly, crossing the threshold towards you that has you backing into a wall, a little shocked.
“But it’s your number, I can’t call you what you used to be called anymore. The Empire took away all that.” You say softly and for a moment, you see a certain plea in his eyes.
“Say my name.”
Stilling, your breath gets caught in your throat. That something you thought had changed within him was surfacing and so, you wanted to press him on. “Why?” You whisper.
His jaw clenched but not out of anger, somewhat out of sadness and despair. He couldn’t remember the last time he heard his name being said and it made his heart twist. Why did he miss it so? Why did he want you of all people to say it? Of course: familiarity.
“I’m not a number.” He breathes unsteadily, his gaze that was so often strong beginning to weaken and he looks away from you. “We’re not numbers.”
“Then who are you? Who have you become?”
He knows you're interrogating him in some regards and for some reason, he lets you. He is tired of saying ‘good soldiers follow orders’ and ‘we do what needs to be done’. He is so, so tired and so, so lonely. He had sought a somewhat mutual friendship - if he could call it that - with Cody but now he had gone AWOL, he felt alone again.
“I’m still… I’m still Crosshair.” He drawls quietly, looking up the second he feels something touch his cheek and his eyes widen briefly to feel your hand.
“Prove it, prove to me it’s still you and not some puppet. I found you again and I can’t bear the way things have changed.”
He leans into your touch and carefully, he places his hands to your waist. His fingers strum gently over your clothes. “You found me?” He says somewhat innocently.
“Yes, I found you… Crosshair.”
The way his name purrs from your throat makes him snap. He captures your lips in a messy, frantic state with your hands flying up to his cheeks and bringing him as inhumanly closer as possible.
“Please mesh’la, say my name. Maker, I need to hear it.” He begs against your lips, the broken solitary clone is begging you for just a touch of his old life again.
“Crosshair.” You whisper against his lips, repeating his name over and over when his lips leave yours and trail along your neck and up your jaw.
Pressing up against you, you feel his arousal and let out a small gasp at the sensation. He’s solid like a rock and as you gaze down, you see it aching against his confines.
He grabs at your chin, eyes searching yours with every emotion he could emit. “Do you want this? To help someone,” he almost chokes, “someone like me?”
Your heart breaks a little at his words, hating the feeling that he thinks he is nothing short of a monster.
“There’s still good in you.” You mumble, leaning up and kissing his lips. “I’ll help you.”
He sighs against you and carefully lifts you up and takes you to your bed, laying you down carefully. “What if I’m beyond that? What if this is all I’ll ever be?”
“Crosshair,” you look up at him through lust filled yet sympathetic hues, “I’ll help you find them.”
“Who?”
Tilting your head, you reach up to him and he allows your fingers to trace over the fine stubble along your jaw. “I think you know who.”
He’s conflicted. His eyes are flashing with mixed emotions at your words but the ache in his pants was getting too much for him. He adores you with how you want to help him but right now? He needs you to release this foul tension of ecstasy he had been craving for too long. And for it to be with you? Even better.
When he kisses you, it’s soft and delicate - not at all how you expected him to be. With every single movement he makes from undressing you and leaving kisses along the nape of your neck and down over your pebbled nipples, it’s gentle.
“Such a good girl for me, aren’t you?” He mutters to you, his hands roaming up and down your bare torso and caressing your breasts that makes your core pang with every touch.
“Only for you, Crosshair.”
He seethes a little as you say his name, getting more riled up than he would like to admit over somebody speaking his name but it sounded like pure liquid gold when you spoke.
His hands are down the front of your pants now, skilled fingers caressing over your warmth before he chuckles seeing you writhe beneath him. “Look at you, all wet and pretty.” His digits fall between your folds, gently massaging the skin. You knew you were wet - obviously. But the fucking sound of his fingers agaisnt you was lewd and pretty filthy. So filthy it bounced off the room's wall like a song.
“Crosshair…” you mewled, cupping your right breast as he pulls your pants down until they’re off before a finger curls into you. Your energy was leaving your body, eyes barely being able to stay open as he already managed to hit that spot inside of you.
He’s admiring you, humming at your responses to him fingering your little pussy. With your eyes half-lidded and back beginning to arch, he uses his free hand to free his cock from his pants and begins to stroke himself. “You like this don’t you? You like the way my fingers curl into that sweet cunt?” He purrs, a member thick in his grasp as he picks up the pace with both his pulsation and his pumping.
“M-more, please!” You’re a whimpering mess now, begging him for me that you know he can give. You lean up on your elbows and only just notice that he was touching himself, the tip oozing with pearly white cum that made your mouth water. “Fuck, you’re huge.”
His chuckle is dark and that’s when you feel not one but two fingers begin to stretch you out carefully, adding to the finger already inside you. “Am I? Let’s make sure you’re ready for me then. Don’t want to hurt you.” His words are soft at this point and his movements are slow. Gently, he would lean down whilst maintaining his rhythm and place a kiss to your naval and up to your breasts, dragging his tongue over your stiff peaks.
When he knows you are ready, his fingers leave your warm hole to much of your displeasure at the loss of contact. But when he slides between your legs, parting your thighs - you know you’re going to get stuffed with something greater.
His tip is breaching your deliciously soaked pussy, teasing you softly but the way he is looking at you almost made you sob in both pleasure and unfathomable awe. His head is tilted to the side, eyes soft with adoration as he slowly slides into you. He’s gauging your reaction, sighing through each inch he puts inside you. “Good girl… taking me so well. Perfect.” He’s talking to himself more than he is to you but you didn’t care.
You lay back on your bunk, looking up at Crosshair whose eyes fall shut as he begins to thrust into you. Both hands are on either side of your waist, holding you close as if you would slip away and it was just a dream.
Words inaudible, you let out soft whimpers as his cock pierces you so wonderfully and makes you feel full. “Oh Crosshair, s-so good.”
He whines at your soft admittance, eyes opening so he could look lovingly into your eyes. “Maker, I’ve always thought about fucking you, ahh fuck-.” He feels like he’s about to bottom out quickly so he slows down, maintaining his breathing before finishing off what you were very interested in hearing.
“Just can’t believe it’s happening like this.” He sighs, hands leaving your waist and placing on either side of your body to hoist himself up as he leans down for a kiss.
Your lips meet in a warm and needy embrace, his tongue diving and exploring the inside of your mouth as his hips roll slowly into you.
You could feel every inch of him from his velvety skin all the way to the veins along his cock as your walls tighten around him like a vice. Whimpering against his mouth spurs him on to pleasure you more, his hips thrusting faster and harder but his lips now gently kissing the warmth of your neck. “Mesh’la, so good to me.” Unsure if you heard him correctly, but you swore he was whimpering with every rut he gives you - severely coming undone in a matter of seconds.
You were glad the room was more or less sound proof because his breathing got heavier, your moans became a melody and the sound of his balls slapping against you were none short of filth.
“I-I think I’m about to cum, baby.” He pulls his head back, looking down at the motion of his length pulsing in and out of you.
“Me too, Crosshair. Please cum in me.”
“I-in you?” He stutters but is pleasantly surprised by your soft demand.
“Mhm, protected.” Your fingers grip onto your bed, nails digging in deep into the hard mattress that the Empire had to offer.
The next few moments were filled with soft whimpering and cursing as he filled you with his seed. That twang in your stomach burst as you too feel yourself cum all over his cock, causing him to almost melt into a puddle and collapse down next to you - both breathing heavy.
Never had a moment meant so much to him until just then. The girl he had longed for many rotations had come to him in his time of need was now spent and naked beside him but as his mind clears, he thinks back to what you said: ‘I’ll help you find them”.
Looking at him, you see he is in deep thought which was a dangerous thing for him. You never knew what he thought but a part of you knew he was thinking about his brothers. “I meant what I said.” You whisper softly, arms folding over your nude and sweating body.
His eyes closed and subtly, nods. “I… I appreciate that.”
It wasn’t enough to confirm if it was what he wanted and maybe, he may take you up on his offer but for now - he doesn’t mind just laying here beside you.
What if it was too late anyway? What if he was beyond saving? He remains conflicted on what was right and what was wrong however for you, you saw the vulnerability in him.
Hopefully, it would be you to reunite him with his brothers.
Hopefully, he finds them.

A House in Nebraska
movie! Mike Schmidt x f! reader
part one
Tumblr media
synopsis: After the events of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, Mike decides it's time for a change. Whether that means just a visit to Nebraska or fully uprooting him and Abby to move back home could possibly be a decision that rests in your hands.
warnings: (kinda?) angst, fluff, childhood friends to lovers trope, mentions of loss, emotional vulnerability, not FNAF lore accurate, not proof-read
A/N: omg hey guys, I know I haven't written in eons, but I just went through a major depressive episode, and Ethel Cain has been helping me a lot through it. So when the Five Nights at Freddy's movie came out and a whole Nebraska plot point was introduced, I just. (╯°□°)╯( ┻━┻. So enjoy! I might continue with more chapters if y'all enjoy it :3
It was hard for Mike, to return back to the little town after so many years. He wasn’t sure if he was ready, but when would he be? After learning about what really happened to Garrett and getting back on his feet after the whole pizzeria incident, he wanted a fresh start. Besides, he wanted to make sure Abby was safe. He was older and smarter, and definitely more aware, so if he was going to do anything in Nebraska, it was making sure that he didn’t make the same mistake with her that he did so many years ago.
It wasn’t official. Of course, Mike couldn’t uproot their entire lives and cause another stressful event after the duo had just endured one of the most traumatic times of their lives. But after getting closure on his brother’s disappearance and working on himself in therapy (per Vanessa’s recommendation), Mike felt ready to visit the old town he grew up in. Whether he moved here or not was still up in the air.
The old diner he used to frequent as a kid was still intact, and since Abby had been begging for a hot dog since their arrival, Mike thought it was time to make a pit stop for lunch.
Upon entering the rinky-dink diner, the familiar bell jingled above him and the two were seated by a middle-aged woman. She set two menus on the table, and she talked about whatever specials the diner had that day. Her raspy smoker’s voice became mere background noise as Mike scanned the restaurant, the memories flooding in. He remembered celebrating a friend’s birthday in the corner by the exit, and a family dinner in another booth by the bathroom. It was all bittersweet, maybe a bit too much. Overwhelmed, he contemplated getting the order to go so he could book it out as fast as possible until his eyes landed on you.
Everything in this town was still a blur to Mike, so he wasn’t sure if it was a figment of his imagination or if he actually saw you. The diner’s old uniform suited you really well, considering how aged it was. Your hair was pulled in the messy sock bun that the other waitresses sported as well, and Mike would have brushed your presence off as something we were imagining if it weren’t for the way your eyebrows furrowed at the cash register; the same way they did when you were both young, when you would concentrate on your homework or a video game you were both playing.
Mike was brought out of his trance as the woman seating him and Abby coughed up a lung, then spoke “Y/n will be with you shortly.”
The feeling of enchantment that Mike was feeling suddenly turned to pure terror. He was fine looking at you from afar and wondering if it was you behind that counter. But now he knew it was, in fact, you. And he was going to talk to you.
Mike felt guilty- he hadn’t contacted you in over ten years. You probably didn’t even know about Abby. He couldn’t do anything about it now- the raspy-voiced woman had already made her way over to you, nodding towards the table and walking away. He barely had time to prepare as your gaze met his.
It was like a bomb went off in his chest the way Mike’s heart started pounding. You didn’t seem to recognize him immediately, but there was definitely a twinge of recognition behind your eyes.
As you approached, Mike was sure that digging his head in his menu was the best course of action. However, upon peeking over the top of it, he realized that he had forgotten one crucial detail:
Abby was smart, and judging by the way she was staring at her older brother, she had absolutely figured out that something was wrong.
Before Mike could even mouth anything to the 10-year-old, you had already approached the table.
“Welcome to The Red Brick Diner, can I take your-”
“Mike was looking at you. Do you know him?”
Dammit, Abby. After casting a warning glance at his smug-faced little sister, Mike peered over the menu at you.
This time he was absolutely sure it was you. Despite being several years older, he could still see the youth in your eyes and the same curve in your lips when you smiled.
“Mike Schmidt?” you greeted him warmly, your smile curling to its full potential. “I thought that was you! I haven’t heard from you in years!”
Nervous energy coursed through Mike’s body, and he was almost certain he forgot to breathe. Here he was, sitting right in front of his childhood best friend, someone he hadn’t spoken to in a decade, and he had no idea how to even say hello. But he managed.
“Yeah, it’s been a while, hasn’t it?” He chuckled, a weak smile making its way to his mouth. A little sneaker kicked his shin, and he jumped before glaring at the offender.
“Right. This is my little sister, Abby. Abby, this is (y/n), she was really good friends with me and.. Yeah.”
Everyone knew what happened to Garrett, it wasn’t a big town by any means. But everyone knew better than to bring it up, and Mike was relieved when you brushed off his slip of the tongue and held out your hand to shake Abby’s hand.
“It’s wonderful to meet you, Abby,” you beamed, and all of a sudden the confidence Abby had just moments before to completely freak Mike out was gone and she shyly reciprocated. You turned back to Mike and pulled out the notepad from your apron, clicking the pen that was already in your hand. “Here, I’ll take your orders and give them to the chef, then I can come back and we can catch up,” you spoke before pausing and looking back up at Mike. “...if that’s okay with you?”
Now, Mike already knew the answer to this question was “yes.” However, with the influx of emotions and memories that had plagued his brain, his thoughts were muddled, and the simple task of speaking was now ten times harder. “Uh… yea! Yes, that’s gr- good! That’s great! Yea.. I’d like that.”
You smiled and took the order, and before you left the table to put in orders, Mike was met with another shin kick. Abby looked at him, miming a scribble on the table. Wondering where her sudden shyness came from, Mike looked at you once more. “Do you happen to have a kids' menu? Like one of the stupid sheets with the crayons?” “They’re not stupid Mike!”
You laughed out loud at the sibling back-and-forth, and Mike felt his heart leap at the familiarity of the sound.
“We do, I’ll bring one back with me when I come back,” you replied, writing one more thing down on her notepad before making her way back to the kitchen.
Mike, watching you leave, took a deep breath. He didn’t know what to expect, and he certainly was worried whether this would affect his decision to move here. But he had to do one thing before his mind was filled with thoughts of you.
“Ow! Mike!”
“Don’t dish it if you can’t take it, Abs.”

So Dafuq had an interview with one of the ST theory channels, specifically EliteCameraman, which I know quite a few of you do not bother watching because of the AI voiceover. So uh, yeah, I watched it for you so you don't have to. I'll say this, Elite Cameraman and Dafuq do actually keep in contact with each other, so these are actual messages from Dafuq himself. Any personal thoughts I interject below will be marked with || thought || and is not part of the interview
[ID:A series of Discord messages between EliteCameraman and Dafuq?!Boom!
EliteCameraman: First let's start with more general questions and after these I'll move on to more specific questions about the next episode Which episode are you most hyped for in the foreseeable future? Dafuq?!Boom!: 73, 74, 77, 80 are all fire episodes tbh
EliteCameraman: Also you said that we'll be getting more episodes compared to before after episode 79 and since now that season 24 is starting how do you think the upload schedule will be and how long the average episode length will be because the last couple episodes before 71 were quite the long episodes. Dafuq?!Boom!: I was expecting the episodes to come out faster, but stress after 70 pushed hard, so I started of slow and still going quite slow. I'm also trying to improve combat in the episodes which I think takes quite some time. I think at some point soon episodes will be rolling out faster.
EliteCameraman: Who is your favorite character in skibidi toilet? Dafuq?!Boom!: I have multiple
EliteCameraman: Are you excited for any new characters that you'll be introducing like the detective cameraman who was in the secret scenes? ||from the full season 23 video|| Dafuq?!Boom!: There's many more old and new characters coming in very soon.
||I skipped a troll question here. it wasn't that relevant, but it was about some fake troll scenes dafuq made about the naked microwave man||
EliteCameraman: blud must be trolling How do you think the astro toilets will effect the power scales? because from what we've seen so far they seem like they can actually hold off against the titans but it looks like they have a different plan. Dafuq?!Boom!: We have yet to see the strongest yet.
EliteCameraman: A lot of people have been wondering about simp cameraman ||browncoat cameraman|| and if he'll ever return. And as you know I'm quite a fan of simp toilet because of his incredible beliefs. Can you give us some info about if he'll return and if he does, will he still side with the alliance or join the dark side. Dafuq?!Boom: I have some interesting plans for him. ||so browncoat confirmed as not dead?!||
EliteCameraman: (crying skull emoji) Did you ever see a theory that guessed everything correctly even stuff that we haven't seen yet? Dafuq?!Boom!: No theories have guessed entire plot correctly, but partially some were very close
EliteCameraman: How long will episode 72 be? Dafuq?!Boom!: 3-4 minutes EliteCameraman: damn blud's been grinding fr fr This episode truly will be a new beginning for the series for the first time ever we got a conclusion for one of the evil characters and the last battle really had some crazy consequences. Do you think people are ready for what's about to come? Dafuq?!Boom: Y'all ain't ready.
EliteCameraman: You said we won't be seeing the titans in episode 72, are we going to see a different P.O.V from the last fight in the bunker once again or is it fully uncharted territory from now on. Dafuq?!Boom: Not bunker, but with territory of Alpha-Hills complex (huge territory).
EliteCameraman: We saw that all the titans have suffered some damage, normally whenever they go back to the bases for repairs it takes them about 10 to 20 episodes to come back, will it be the same or will we see them getting fixed on the fly just like how they got upgraded on episode 69 part 2? Dafuq?!Boom!: Now that the Alliance is dominating and pushing Skibidi Toilets, they don't have plans to retreat. Unless something truly unexpected happens.
||that doesn't sound ominous at all||
EliteCameraman: Also about the astro toilets, how was the claw astro toilet able to speak English while we haven't seen any other toilet speak normally? Does it have to do with their helmets because they all seem to have helmets and we don't know their uses. Dafuq?!Boom!: Skibidi Toilets posses all earthly languages. They just chose to speak on their superior, far more complex "skibidi" language. EliteCameraman: Thx for the answers bruh, now Imma leak it all.

I was wondering if you could do an analysis on Dark. I've seen a lot of interpretations of him that paint him as a good person/jerk with a heart of gold/tragic figure/etc. despite the fact he seems to be just unsympathetic, pure evil to me. Is there something from canon that actually hints Dark isn't truly heartless?
So unfortunately, I think we don't really have enough on Dark to go on for a canon-based analysis like the ones I usually do. I excel in finding consistent little details across a wide spread of episodes and, unfortunately, there isn't all that much to go on with Dark, at least not enough that hasn't already been discussed that I can claim to be canon.
That said, while there's nothing I can definitively say to be true, there are a few things that I use when trying to decide on my interpretation of the character. These actions haven't been repeated enough for me to say definitively that they mean something deeper, but there are little bits and pieces from canon that can imply that Dark's not 100% heartless if you want them to imply that.
First, I would just like to point out nobody thinks of Chosen as the bad guy, yet they were doing exactly what Dark was doing for some time before they decided to stop. In fact in AvA 3 Chosen was the one encouraging Dark to go destroy stuff. Dark just kept going for a little longer than Chosen did, so we tend to see Dark as the bad guy and Chosen as the good guy.
Second, the thing Dark got into a fight with Chosen about wasn't about "oh you need to stop fighting random sticks", we have no data on if Dark would have gotten into a physical fight with Chosen if that was the point of contention. The fight happened because Chosen was trying to stop Dark from hurting Alan, the guy who basically brainwashed Dark into fighting the person who would become their only friend and who had been holding said friend captive for years.
It's pretty clear Dark has a strong desire for revenge, which is, y'know, a villain trait to be fair, but it still can lead to a more three-dimensional character than just "oh Dark is 100% unredeemably evil". Dark wants revenge against Alan, so when Chosen tried to stop them from getting that revenge after so many years, that revenge turned on Chosen. And since Dark was never taught to care about other sticks' lives - they were born to kill, and their only friend was still teaching them to kill for quite a while - the Color Gang were just insignificant casualties to Dark.
So, at least how I tend to view it when I think of Dark, is that if Dark maybe learned some from that whole experience, if that was enough of a wake-up call, that they'd start to follow a similar path that Chosen did. I think they'd be able to. Chosen went from mindlessly hurting people to being a better kinder stick, why couldn't Dark? Dark has one role model and that's Chosen, and Chosen was not a good role model for long time so Dark wasn't a good person. If Dark survived this, Chosen's a much kinder person now and Dark just got the wake-up call of a lifetime telling them that they need to change something, and I think they have the ability to.
That said, my interpretation of Dark isn't a perfect kind person, my interpretation would be a Dark who still wants to hurt people who get in their way and take revenge on those who harm Dark or anyone Dark cares about, but also a Dark who's just now starting to recognize that those wants aren't something they should act on and is doing their best to figure out better ways to express that anger and desire for revenge.
But that's just my interpretation, I try to keep it close to what I think is canon but I don't really know what canon is or what it's gonna be as AvA 6 continues,
Although, before I end, I do just have to point out my strongest evidence.

do you realize how awesome that would be between a cybertronian and an atlanian having a few similarities ?
also I had a lot of thoughts that had me sort of stuck.
Like the beginning part of how the atlanians were trying so very hard to out run an explosion. Perhaps a little tie to Quintess? something must of had their attention that they thus gave knowledge to them but later something that caused their downfall, just like Quintess and his creations. perhaps that was price?
would the Cybertronians know at some point, be it accident or intentionally, they seek them out? Even if they had no tie to the primes, it would still be one within of Primal. though the same could be said in reverse. either way, who knows what they may have inhereted by the line. Scratch that, the Guardian would more than likely prevent them from going further but say they do get past the Guardian and they do come across an Atlanian and thus their broken home beneath the surface.
I had forgetton that the stone(?) defense does react to danger and does choose someone of royalty. I did forget about the part where Kida was chosen and thus looked... crystalized? like energon. but also could not be touched cuz you'd wind up being like them too.
I unfortunately do not remember the all parts, only bits and pieces of the movie so feel free to ignore this.
There had been some talk that other ancient civilizations had their own massive technological marvel wonders in that movie verse, so perhaps there's something in the legends and myths…
I can't help but to think of it in a universe where Earth-is-Unicron or Unicron-yielded-Gaea because 1) we all need to utilize that way more, 2) makes sense with all the chaotic fuckery on the planet, and 3) would make a lot of sense on how it managed to store/grow Energon without tipping off a nearest spacefaring civilization, seems to be a reverse Cybertron in its makeup (dirt, metal, and water), yet able to support Primus’ own creations if utilized correctly, and build on the connection between Earth and Cybertron.
We're cousins. We have to fuck around with it. Especially with the same idea that Cybertronians and humans are cousins to the Quintessons since those multi-faced, space squids are Quintus’ descendants.
So that would make so much sense why Atlantis’ mobile weaponry was modeled after sea creatures. The Atlantians are taking advantage of the squids’ natural predators for extra psychological damage.
Imagine if the Leviathan ship came after the Quintesson invasion after a lot of tinkering between mechanical and organic components? The Atlantic answer to Quintessons’ space whale transport.
King Kashekim's dying words gave us so many details of the Heart itself and how it's able to make choices. Look, if that doesn't feel like a divine instrument or a Primal Artifact, then I don't know what does!
As a timeline, we could put the Downfall after repelling the Quintessons. King Kashekim would have had access to greater tech compared to other ally civilizations at that point, who's to say he wasn't looking to expand Atlantis’ dominion, especially after a massive undertaking and decisive win?
As for being searched by Cybertronians, it would depend on the universe. It would totally revamp the G1 episode with Atlantis and TFP would have really fantastic world-building on sentient Artifacts, Optimus not being the last of the Primes, and delve into the impact of cultural/religious instruments and “who” could claim them. Could the Autobots take the Heart and doom the inhabitants to ensure Decepticons don't raid it? What happens if the Heart refuses to cooperate? It may be a Primal Artifact/Titan, but who holds its loyalty? The descendants of its creator, especially with an unbroken lineage, or a pure Cybertronian Prime?
Could they even get past the Leviathan in the first place? This isn't a submarine where a standard mech could punch through its hull. A Leviathan is a proper war machine on a galactic standard and capable of transporting the Cybertronians themselves. Would it obey Optimus or not?
There are so many directions this could go. It's fascinating!

Dead Friend Forever episode 12 blurb/series retrospective
wellllllllllllllllllllll that was the goriest, slasheriest, kill 'em-ness I've seen in Thai or any bl series
the episode was kinda short and the pacing made it seem rushed but not I'm sure if I really felt rushed or if it was just a breakneck pace
I do like that a lot of the theories and wishes weren't achieved/realized and the series still feels good. Like I know I wanted White and TanNew to live and at times Jin and Phee too but all of them ending up in this ceaseless purgatory slaughterhouse is kinda fitting. Non couldn't escape his fate due to the actions of others and the rest of the group couldn't escape the fallout aka TanNew's life implosion and his pursuit of vengeance for his brother and family
Cuz like yeah White, it truly seems, was just at the wrong place and wrong time. The theories and sentiment of White being part of some Perth and TanNew third killer ace in hole was nice and could have worked but it didn't happen and I don't feel the show really lacked for it
Like we saw one of the masked killers with crutches and the killer always had a maybe magic, maybe mundane vibe the show liked to play with. So perhaps Non really did survive somehow or maybe he just really had a rather unmarkable end after his harrowing captivity and enslavement
anywho standouts for the episode and series -
TanNew going full slasher - lovely, wonderful, great job Mio. You sold and I bought. And as an elder sibling, bitch I don't necessarily condone your behavior but I motherfucking understand you and also why you were Phee were destined to have a falling out. Phee did geniunely love and care for Non but the information that Phee had because Non specifically and intentionally lied to Phee meant that Phee could ultimately move on with Jin but TanNew was frozen in that grief and by Phee interrupting TanNew's attempt, Phee sealed his own fated too
Jin's hallucation montage - kinda campy in a good way and also like really modern. Like this type of voyuerism enabled by modern technology is really scary. Like gays have been fucking and sucking in bathrooms since before bathrooms were existed and will continue to (and last night at this bar I was at - there were several gays keeping me from peeing because they were fucking in the bathroom stall). So I compare how the leaked sex tape was used in this series with Only Friends and I do feel DFF really did that subplot and theme so much better
The first third of ep 12 aka the slaughter house - like it's a series so total suspension of disbelief to let the series tell me that Top can get shot in the stomach (or near enough) after a series of beatings and days of high stress and still have the gas in the tank for a final fight. But the tension and motivations were really high and going from the joker class clown who kinda started a lot of the Non ends up a slave plot by Top breaking Por's camera and Fluke mister always trying to keep my hands clean but always being near and having the truth but not sharing taking themselves out together was obvious symbolism to me and still really good. Then going from that to Tee being made to inadvertently kill his lover and the person who inspired him to better himself while White's last images are his boyfriend who he like 3 minutes ago learned was a really massive piece of shit and a victim and victimizer and (I don't know about Thai laws and accidental death or manslaughter and all that) but learning your bf is connected and inarguably one of the biggest participants in this Non situation surely must have not felt good, then he stabs you while you think it's because you're not pretty. Madness and chaos and really cool scene.
Phee, Phee, Phee, our series lead - overall I think Ta did a fantastic job. Like so many times, he would enter a scene and I would think "this dude has stage presence" - highlight of him was the revealation he was Non's boyfriend as he saves Non from his attempt. That episode and the one prior with this abscene were fine and good but when he came back onscreen, it was like, yeah, you've got IT. Now the finale arc with him is frustrating because of the discourse and the piety of people and shipping. Yes Non was groomed. Por is the closest person in series to call out the massive inappropriateness of Keng and Non. But it is critical to point out, that Phee did not know about that and saw Non being hugged and comforted by Keng, so he made the deduction that Non was hot for teacher. And then the disappearance and police stuff happened and Phee was motivated to find the truth. He was fueled by his own guilt at his last words to Non but even as he was trying to find Non, as he told his dad, he wasn't sure how he felt about forgiving Non because Non told Phee to his face there was nothing wrong and then Phee watches Non and Keng fucking. So yeah, it makes sense he could could join in on TanNew's plan but he didn't have the same stakes that TanNew did.
The mean girl messy clique worked because you saw that it was largely a friend of convenience for them and you had two different type of alpha girls (Por and Tee) and then a lacky Top and two people who seemed to be voting for the leopard eating face party because they didn't want their own faces ate
The heat was decently high and the NC scenes were really good, that ass slap is iconic
Lows
we didn't get enough with Jin. He was arguably the 2nd or 3rd most "important" character to this maybe and we just didn't get enough of him or his character for him to be fully realized for me
Overall BoC's second series was really good. I think they avoided the sophomore slump.
Maybe the dead friend forever is the friends we made along the way

My reactions to Evangelion episode 18: Ambivalence
It sounds like this episode is going to be intense based on the preview from the last episode. It was something like, "It's great everyone got to be happy for a little bit before tragedy struck" and I'm wondering if it's time for the spoiler i saw about Toji when I was looking up his last name :(
Kensuke, you do not want the job.
God, what's he going to do when he finds out his two best bros are both pilots
They mention the second impact a lot at this school.
I'm not sure why Asuka is taking out her issues with Toji becoming a pilot on Shinji. I feel like I missed something in the last episode. Although, thinking about it, Toji being a pilot has made Rei worried about Shinji, so I'm now thinking Asuka is worried about him, too, but is expressing it in a very... uh... vibrant way. I guess they're worried about how he's going to take it when he finds out, since I'm sure he doesn't want any of his loved ones going through that kind of pain/struggle. I thought she was mad about having to share the limelight with someone she dislikes, but I don't think that's really it. When/ if I rewatch this, I'm going to have to pay closer attention when I watch the last episode again.
Kaji talking about not ever really being able to know someone reminds me of the stuff about how many different versions of oneself there are. I do really wonder what effect piloting the Evas has on the selves. I feel sure it's doing something to them, but I don't know what.
Oh, class rep brought the lunch for him :(
Ugh what if Shinji finds out Toji is the pilot after he's dead?
Wait wait wait. An Angel in the Eva or the Angel was the Eva? I'm rewinding.
Are they using the dummy capsule or whatever its called?
I am still mystified.
Did anyone survive?
Oh fuck they're going to make Shinji kill Toji. He's probably going to deliver the killing blow and then find out.
Fuck, Asuka!
She can't do it because she knows him.
Oh, shit! Rei!
Fuuuuck.
Rip the entry plug out, Shinji!
This reminds me of what happened to Shinji's Eva with the sphere. Like, how it was roaring and tearing things up.
Gendo, that is your kid!
Shinji, my beloved!
Switching to the dummy plug, huh? Unit 1 is about to go apeshit
And Shinji, who refused to murder someone, has to sit there and watch.
Did I know Evas could bleed?
Oh, fuck... Toji.
He's alive for now, it sounds like, unless they were referring to a different living pilot and Shinji (and therefore us) thought they meant Toji. Either way, what a gut punch
In Conclusion
I feel like I need time to let this one settle. Like, there wasn't a lot revealed about NERV or anything like that. This one definitely seemed more character driven. We for sure saw Gendo prioritizing the Evas and the war on the Angels against Shinji's well-being, which is like... How are you going to sit there and watch your son choke to death? He was really quick to sever Rei's arm without turning of the nerve link or whatever it's called, but I feel like that could also be interpreted as him being much more quick to save her than Shinji.
Also, the Evas behavior when they are not synced with a human feels very significant. I feel like once I reach all the reveals I'm going to be like, "Oh, duh!" but I'm still kind of turning it over in my head. We've seen time and again through the series that they are erratic and, except for that time with Shinji in the first episode, they default to violence when they are not under a pilot's control. It must be mentally exhausting to control something so alien and feral for sure. Maybe it's because a personality without a heart/soul regresses to the worst parts of itself. Which part of the psyche is the one that succumbs to all its impulses? The id? Anyway, I don't know but I'm wondering if this was the Angels' plan when they vaporised Base 2 (?). Infect unit 3, get it back to Japan, and then rampage.
We got to see a side of Shinji that we usually don't get to see, where he refused to take orders based on his own sense of right and wrong. I'm proud of him, especially since he stood up to his father in the process. It's awful that he had his agency stripped away from him and was forced to watch himself do it anyway. What a violation.
Anyway, I have to get to bed but I'm hoping to get another episode in tomorrow.
Lol what if it's the dark glasses are making Gendo evil and if he put on a normal pair of spectacles again he would become a chill guy. I kid, I kid.
So long for now!

The look on Rand's face when "Selene" flinches back from him godddd 😭 this is gonna make him fear how his friends would react to him being able to channel even more. This relationship is gonna fuck him up on so many levels
I KNOOOOOW and on this note, i'm wondering how the show is going to handle mat's reaction to the fact that rand can channel. the girls and perrin already know (though of course they haven't thought much about it since they think he's dead, so they might have a fresh reaction to it upon learning he's alive), but mat a) is the only one who hasn't explicitly learned onscreen that rand is the dragon, and b) has a famously bad *initial* reaction to rand's channeling in the books (which he overcomes until they're besties again, despite many readers forgetting this part of the arc!!!!)
however, i've been thinking there's a possibility that show!mat's initial reaction might be different, for a few reasons.
1) given that liandrin's been reading (excerpts of) perrin's letters to him, we know that he's heard the news of rand's "death." so, it's possible he might have reasoned out that he was the dragon. it's also possible he believes one of the other 3 is the dragon and rand just got killed as collateral damage at the eye, but there IS a pretty good chance that mat will not be shocked to learn rand can channel.
2) mat starts off this season feeling like a shitty friend and angsting over abandoning them, so it seems his arc will be about "redeeming" himself and becoming a better friend. him being an ass to rand for being able to channel would throw a wrench in that arc (UNLESS it happens in the next episode or two and there's still enough time left in the season for mat to prove that he will always be there for rand no matter what).
3) on this note, mat's had a stretch of episodes of being "unlikable" and isn't super popular with show-onlys right now from what i've seen (and hey, that totally tracks with reader perception of mat in books 1-2 djkfg), so i feel like we're due for some Proper Mat Time where we get to see more of his inner goodness, and him being an ass to rand would throw a wrench in that as well (unless it happens in the next episode or two and there's still enough time for ~redemption~)
4) like you say, show!rand is already much more deeply traumatized & afraid of loved ones' reactions to him being channel, and after the absolute heartbreak of that 2x04 scene, his own best friend being an ass to him to his face would really be twisting the knife, perhaps too hard! especially since mat is already on Thin Fucking Ice with a number of viewers haha
5) speaking of twisting knives, the viewing of mat stabbing rand! i'm so curious to see what's up with that, but it's very possible that whatever it is could take the place of mat being an ass about rand being a channeler as the source of early-series tension in their relationship. if it turns out that mat stabbed rand while under compulsion or under dagger influence, then that could be the reason for him keeping his distance from rand at the start of s3: less because he's afraid of rand and more because he's afraid of HIMSELF and feels guilty for hurting rand in s2. but of course, there's also the possibility that the stabbing viewing is a metaphor for mat twisting the knife by being an ass to rand about being a channeler!
anyway, that was a huge tangent but it's something i've been pondering a lot since ep4! so curious to see if we might get a mat & rand reunion in cairhien sooner than all the other ef5 reunions at falme!!

hi i LOVE ur acc and i was wondering if u had any ideas on this cause i cant seem to like. figure it out? in mizumono hannibal's like "do you think you could change me? the way ive changed you," and wills like "i already did." and i was like WOAHSJDGF. but like also how? i get the general feeling that he changed to view himself capable of love and realized he did actually want understanding and acceptance?? but i feel like theres a shift in his mindset based on his actions im not getting?? or rather how will changed him? like what of wills actions led to it? if that makes sense?
OMG hi!! i think this is the first ask ive gotten of someone asking me about what i think of a specific scene in hannibal and i am SO excited about it, so thank you!!!!! and also for saying you love my account, it means so much <3 thank u thank u thank u
okay but YES i have many ideas about this, I'm gonna go back to a couple lines before this, though, and go line by line and explain how i personally interpret this scene and topic!! sorry this is so long i got excited <3
warning: i make a lot of assumptions about hannibal's past which i am not 100% sure about, because the show makes his past very very vague. i am mainly going off just what the show implies and tells us, not the books.
also, there is a TLDR at the end of this!
-
hannibal says, almost exasperatedly, "my freedom, then. you would take that from me. confine me to a prison cell" and then looks at abigail. she looks down, almost guiltily, and i feel like in this moment everyone is remembering how hannibal took /will's/ freedom from him and confined /him/ to a prison cell (using abigail's fake death). and he is acting like it is somehow unfair that will would do the same to him.
but hannibal /is/ right in that he and will took or were going to take each other's freedoms for entirely different reasons. hannibal confined will to a prison cell because he was trying to change will for what he genuinely thought was the better. this is evident by hannibal saying "i have always had huge faith in you, will" and "i think you are more in control now than you have ever been" and the rebirth themed episode directly after will gets out of prison. will's imprisonment was to change him. this change was not only will being more "in control," but more in tune and intimate with his "urges," and generally more intimate and less afraid of the parts of his mind he had been trying to suppress.
after hannibal says "...confine me to a prison cell," and looks back at will, he looks thoughful for a moment. that is when he says "do you believe you could change me, the way i have changed you?" because he is asking will if he believes that he could change hannibal by imprisoning him (which was his "plan" with jack for most of s2b), just as hannibal changed will by imprisoning him.
will replies with "i already did," the script says after that, "hannibal studies will a moment, realizing he's right." will did not need to imprison hannibal in order to change him. by just making hannibal feel this kind of love, devotion, and trust, he had already changed hannibal drastically. i dont believe hannibal had felt what he felt for will since mischa 30-40 years ago. to really put it in perspective, hannibal had gone through his entire life probably completely alone, letting nobody close to him like he let will be close to him. he never let himself be seen, and never let himself trust enough to experience anything like this (presumably).
will's changing hannibal is also shown physically by the entire scene in mizumono happening at that moment. hannibal massacred everybody in his own house. this is not the way he kills. his kills are not impulsively reactionary or born of emotions as intense and volatile as he was feeling in response to will's betrayal. will himself says hannibal's kills are like "pests he's swatted," born of annoyance at best. this killing and violence resulting from a situation of genuine, deep hurt is entirely new for hannibal. like i said, hannibal had not let himself truly be seen by anyone other than will in a very long time, and he trusted will in a way he didnt even trust bedelia in season 3. when hannibal found out will's betrayal of him, he was heartbroken. heartbreak is not something hannibal is supposed to open himself up to. he is supposed to be in complete control of his emotions and actions. but he wasn't, and he did open himself up to this heartbreak. so, this cocktail of emotions is completely and entirely foreign to hannibal (other than mischa), and he unleashes it all in the mizumono massacre. what hannibal does for will makes him act in ways he does not and has not acted before, generally.
semi-TLDR: so, will changed hannibal because he was the first person hannibal loved and trusted in this very vulnerable way since mischa. because of this, he was the first person capable of betraying hannibal in such a deep-cutting way. will caused hannibal to let himself experience love and trust again. and also heartbreak and betrayal. these volatile emotions are all behind hannibal's mizumono massacre, which is absolutely uncharacteristic of him (at least, up until this point). in this way, will changed hannibal.
as for the consequences of this change in hannibal: hannibal is grappling with this realization/coming to terms/figuring out how to deal with his love of will (and will's betrayal) during mizumono and post-mizumono. he doesn't know what to do with this change in himself. s3a is literally just hannibal trying to figure out how to deal with his uncontrollable obsession with/love of will and what to do with it. and also how to deal with will's consistent rejection of him (mizumono betrayal, the knife in the uffizi gallery, and the digestivo rejection). secondo is where he concludes that the only way he can forgive will for making him feel this way (and for his influence of hannibal to betryal himself) is to eat him, as he did the same to his sister. when they're back at will's house after the brain eating is interrupted, and after the consequent muskrat farm massacre, hannibal is regretting something (either the brain eating, killing abigail, or opening himself up to wills "influence" at all. or all three.), and starts writing theoretical formulas to turn back time in a notebook. after will's final rejection in digestivo, hannibal turns himself in. hannibal is All Over The Place after he starts loving will and lets himself be heartbroken by will: he kills abigail, runs off to europe, tries to kill will and eat his brain, then regrets it and tries to convince will to let it go, and then puts himself in prison after will rejects him. i'm not going to go into the reason for the prison thing because this is already getting too long, lol.
hannibal is known for being able to control his emotions and calculate his actions very carefully. hannibal literally says "you cannot control with respect to whom you fall in love." and bedelia says "what your sister [and now will] made you feel was beyond your conscious ability to control or predict." hannibal is used to being able to control and predict his emotions. the appearance of his uncontrollable and unpredictable love and forgiveness of will is in direct conflict with what hannibal is used to, and this is the change in hannibal that will caused.
full-TLDR: will changed hannibal because he was the first person hannibal felt love and trust for in this very vulnerable way since mischa. because of this, will was also the first person capable of betraying hannibal in such a deep-cutting way. will caused hannibal to let himself experience love and trust again. and also heartbreak and betrayal. these volatile emotions are all behind hannibal's mizumono massacre, which is absolutely uncharacteristic of him (at least, up until this point). after hannibal runs off to europe, he doesn't know what to do with this change in himself. the entirety of s3a is largely hannibal trying to figure this out, and he concludes by putting himself in prison.
-
of course there are many different ways to interpret this very complex scene & topic, so those are just my thoughts (which are admittedly a little shakey still, lol) i hope that kinda answered your question, or you at least got something out of this! :]

A interesting comparison and differences………
So have you guys may be wondering something? Because I actually noticed something that I think many people find this comparison quite believable, and for good reasons. Because it also involves around a spin-off of the main show that’s set in an extended universe. Much like Helluva Boss. And that spin-off…….is Fear The Walking Dead. Now you guys may exactly asking “why or how is this comparison to two separated spin-off has notable similarities yet plenty of different things?????” When I answered that major question from you all, you’ll eventually understand.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Right off the bat, FTWD and HB has a similar problem/flaws when how comes to the later seasons as far as the writing, character, set pieces, etc. Especially with two common/noticeable problems between them…..among with explaining the different things to along with it.
Is how both show switch and just mostly focused on one or two characters, taking over the other important main characters purposes. Which is being Blitzo and Stolas, among with Morgan Jones. Hints how the fandom/community called both of them being “The Biltzo and Stolas Show” and “The Morgan Jones Show.”
Tumblr media
Starting with Morgan Jones, his first appearances happened around the beginning of Season 4, set a few years later after Season 3 ended. And I can agreed that Morgan isn’t a good choice for a multitude of reason. But the main problem is how he doesn’t really do anything much or changed anything for the show beside just killing walkers and being insufferable despite being the new main protagonist after the story arc of the Clark family, whose purpose was to healed what was broken and helping other supporting characters, but his niceness and nobility is what kinda ruins him as one of the best characters from The Walking Dead universe. And this happened after since Travis death from Season 3, then Nick was killed during Season 4, Alicia was gone around the end of e Season 7, and Madison just….isn’t the same anymore. Because of that, he taking over for what could’ve been a potentially great new season for the Clark family after Season 3, if thing was different. But guess not. On the positive side, Morgan isn’t quite a terrible father nor a terrible leader. Since he still has a heart inside of him, still at time, deeply care towards the people surrounding him, and even tried his hardest to be a good father to his daughter, ever since he lost his own son….unlike with Blitzo and Stolas.
Tumblr media
I’m just going to say this…..Blitzo and Stolas was two characters I used to enjoyed and ship a whole lot!!!!!! At first. They may seem like two fun characters who may be a bit of a gay horny couple and often at times, they would often used each other. But they do have moments where I felt them in between, was something I’ve never thought was that good….that is until Season 2 came, and their characterization is right I started to realize……they’re never a good character nor a good father, and most of the time, they both always appeared in almost every episode. And looking deeper. Really shows it all.
Like with Blitzo.
Tumblr media
Although he can be hilarious at times and has a few moments that makes him stand out. Yet at the same time, he screw everything up and is a complete asshole. Especially how he treats Moxxie and even stalks him and Millie as well, despite the moment from Episode 6, Season 1. He still abuse the hell out of Moxxie, not to mentioned, taking advantage from Stolas, and most of all….neglectful to his love one/friends/colleagues. I get he has a tragic backstory, ever since Buck has never cared for him beside MONEYYYYYYYY!!!!!!! But just because there’s people who are asshole to you, doesn’t excuse the fact that you’re an asshole, abusive, and a neglectful imp who doesn’t let his own siblings nor colleagues just moved on and do their own things. But still been trying to have a relationship with his adopted daughter “Loona.”
Which perfectly leads to Stolas himself.
Tumblr media
Stolas is not a good character and a good father. Straight away. He’s responsible for cheating on his own wife with a imp, leading into massive drama behind the Goetia family. It’s even possible Octavia has a good relationship with her father once when she was young, but as time’s goes on…eventually leading to her father relationships with Blitzo. But not for good reasons. Especially in one of the best episodes from Season 1, Episodes 2. It’s apparently cleared he only cared for himself but doesn’t cared about anything else, even if he tried to cheer his daughter up when taking her to Loo Loo Land. But it was around the same time when Stolas also invite, you guess it…..Blitzo! The same guys who he was falling in love and was cheating his wife. He only invited him….JUST TO BE HORNY TO HIM!!!!!!! Making him a complete fucking liar towards his own daughter about “needing security,” when you’re just having Blitzo to flirt with him…..the same can be said for Season 2, Episode 2 when he and Blitzo are trying to search for Octavia, after she accidentally ends up in LA. Yet, only for him TO JUST FLIRT ON BLIZTO INSTEAD OF BEING SERIOUS ON SEARCHING YOUR OWN DAUGHTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2. Another biggest problem between both shows is how it moved away from the original concept that both of them should’ve focused on.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both the concept of the spin-off has a lot of potential. Especially how Helluva Boss is meant to be an episodic show about three Imps and a Hellhound forming an assassin team known as the I.M.P that involved around teleporting to the human world, in order to assassinate their targets that’s responsible for doing horrible thing. While Fear The Walking Dead is a prequel to The Walking Dead, which is set around the beginning of the Undead Apocalypse. These ideas, again, sounds freaking awesome!!!!!!! But, that’s where another problem rises, because FTWD moved away from the concept as Season 4 came by and Morgan coming along for the ride. It just only become more like a midquel/sequel to The Walking Dead than an actual prequel and the writing just becomes ridiculous and abysmal. As for Helluva Boss, it should’ve been an episodic rather than a plot driven show, which resulted into a complete mess of too many recurring plots and characters, an confusing world-building, characters personalities being assassinated or completely downgraded, many plot holes, etc.
Conclusion. These show, despite so many issue and flaws that cannot be ignored. I still have a lot of fun watching them with some fun I can enjoyed from, especially with its entertainment value. But with Fear the Walking Dead finally getting closer to end in Season 8 as Morgan Jones is officially leaving in the end of the first half, to search for Rick Grimes. Leaving a bit of a nice sendoff to him, leaving the rest of the original cast of the characters to conclude the rest of the storyline. For it to come to the end. As far as the current state for both HH/HB “mostly HB,” it’s not looking good for how the fandom has become a divisive mess that argues with their opinions/criticisms, and especially how Vivziepop has become a mainstream definition of how not to be an amazing creator, she’s not a terrible person …but not a good person either. Even the way she responded to criticism, is not looking pretty for both her and the future of her animated shows. Even growing some concerned for Hazbin Hotel….still……….
We must wait and see. Sooner or later.

The Huntlow Question
With the following post, I want to have a nuanced discussion about the possibility of Huntlow as a canon couple in The Owl House and what that could mean for the show. There’s been a lot of toxicity surrounding this ship as of late, but I want to analyze it from a neutral perspective outside of “are they cute or not,” and I really hope some of y’all do too. This is not an “anti” post, nor is it a shipping post. It’s just my thoughts.
So, let’s do this!
With the past couple of episodes, I feel like a lot of us are picking up on the possibility of Hunter and Willow becoming a couple in the show. They’ve gotten very close recently, have shared a few shy glances and blushes, and they have been very consistently rescuing each other in the battle sequences. Given how all of those tactics were used by the show to establish Lumity as a canon ship, it comes as no surprise that many of us are wondering if Huntlow is next.
And, if you’re like me, you were probably very confused about this.
Like, where did this come from? I thought they were just friends! I headcannoned both as queer in a mutually exclusive way! How did this happen?????
Well, let me try to explain.
First, let’s address those first impulses. I, personally, have been a part of many fandoms for shows that are very similar to TOH, specifically Steven Universe, She-Ra, and Star vs the Forces of Evil, and I think a lot of you have too. Those shows have very complicated histories where shipping is concerned, and they have all been accused of canonizing ships for the purpose of fanservice (or just because a few writers liked the ships), even though they weren’t planned from the start. This created extremely toxic environments surrounding shipping in the fandoms. I won’t go into the credibility of those accusations, but that is VERY important context for the situation with TOH.
Because a lot of us came from those fandoms, and that likely includes both the shippers and people accusing the shows of fanservice. I think we’re all scenting blood in the water with the whole Huntlow situation, and I personally would really like to avoid devolving into toxic cesspools by way of the old fandoms. However, in order to nip this whole thing in the bud, we need to ask ourselves: Is Huntlow fanservice?
And my answer is: I really don’t think so.
Supposing it is meant to be canon, I’d like to give the crew the benefit of the doubt and say that they actually have been planning this for some time. Then, the question becomes, why does it seem so rushed?
Well, why is anything in TOH rushed?
Yup.
It all comes back to the cancellation.
You see, if I had to guess, I’d say the crew had been considering setting up Hunter and Willow for some time, perhaps since the beginning, but they were planning on giving them more focus in season 3. And that would make sense! Seeing as Willow has gained a newfound confidence and Hunter is finally coming into his own, it stands to reason that they’d get more focus next season, and now that we know that they’re trapped in the Human Realm, they’re going to be getting an awful lot more screen time together. This would be the perfect time to set up a romantic relationship if one had been planned.
Unfortunately, they’re not going to get a full season 3. We probably won’t be getting much in the way of one-on-one interactions between Hunter and Willow, which it probably why the crew has included more references to them being a potential couple recently. By the time these episodes were in development, they knew they weren’t getting a full season 3, so they had to do the work to stick the hints in sooner, which has led to the rushed feeling.
However, this raises the question of why exactly they would have kept Huntlow at all. Given the mixed reaction, it doesn’t seem like a lot of people were really expecting Huntlow to be canon, and I know for a fact that several popular headcanons placed both of them as queer (gay for Hunter, and lesbian or aroace for Willow were both common). So if they couldn’t do it properly, and it wasn’t particularly popular, why do it at all?
I puzzled over this for a while. I will admit that I was kind of disappointed at first to see such an abundantly queer show that prized itself on its friendships and found families go down the path of what I perceived as a pretty generic hetero couple, especially since I was so glad to see them as a healthy example of a platonic relationship between a male and female character. Obviously, they can still be bi/pan/etc. but we haven’t actually seen any in-canon evidence to put them as anything other than straight, assuming their feelings for each other are romantic. And, granted, even I can admit that my personal headcanons don’t have to be true, but that still doesn’t explain why they would forego an adorable friendship for a romance.
And then it hit me:
Thematic Relevance.
What is Hunter’s story arc about?
Well, at its core, it’s about him breaking a cycle of abuse and coming into his own outside of his toxic upbringing. And that whole storyline is intricately woven with the backstory of the Wittebane brothers. Philip and Caleb were as close as siblings could be, but Caleb stepped outside of his brother’s little bubble of morality and fell in love with a witch, and so Philip killed him. He then harvested his bones and made dozens of copies of Caleb for hundreds of years, desperately hoping that the next one would be the brother he wanted, then relishing in killing them each time they “betrayed” him.
Hunter is the first grimwalker to break out of that cycle, and how he has done that is by forming the relationships that his predecessors were never able to successfully develop before Philip got to them. The first and most obvious of these relationships is with Luz, who is filling the role of a younger sibling that Philip would have been for Caleb, though in a more healthy and supportive way than before. He is then also able to find a parental figure in Darius in order to replace Belos, something the other Golden Guards were likely unable to do. The only remaining unfulfilled relationship, thematically speaking, would be that of the witch Caleb fell for.
Enter, Willow.
Hunter is broken and distressed; he has been exposed to the world of “wild magic,” one he has been told is wicked all his life, and he’s finding that he enjoys it. I imagine he’s in a very similar position to Caleb and the other grimwalkers were when they had their own doubts. Then, here comes this bright, confident, powerful, and kind young witch, who is revolutionizing her field. She’s everything a “wild witch” isn’t supposed to be, and above it all, she believes in Hunter. Of course he’s going to fall for her; it’s kind of a pattern!
Now, this analysis is a bit Hunter-centric, but I think that has more to do with the fact that we don’t know anything about Caleb’s witch girlfriend yet. It is possible that she will be very similar personality-wise to Willow. There’s a reason Eda respects her! And even beyond that, it’s very clear that she relates to Hunter an awful lot, and she truly cares about him. Whether we’ll see that blossom into romance remains to be seen, but it does seem like they are intentionally building many of the main characters of the show into parallels to characters in the show’s history, so including a romance of this sort would make sense. And if this is the case, that would explain why it couldn’t be cut for time from season 3.
I don’t know if Huntlow is going to be canon. I don’t know what it would look like if it was. I don’t know the specifics of the Wittebanes’ backstory. But I do love this show, and I trust its crew. I may not know what’s coming, but I am wholly invested in this show, and I know that all of you are too.
So, thanks for reading! It couldn’t have been easy, I know. Please offer your own analyses if you have them!
And please, I am begging you, stop treating each other like crap over two cartoon teenagers.

Together - Five Hargreeves x Reader
Summary: In Hotel Oblivion, trying to save the world once more, you can’t help but wonder what Five sees in you. Reader: can be read as any gender Warnings: Five and Reader are both around their early to mid-twenties. SPOILER for Season 3 Episode 10, blood, sorta gore (you’ve seen the episode, you know why), slight angst, mentions of alcohol, mentions of death (again, you’ve seen the season) Word count: 5 331 A/N: I’m kinda not happy with this… I feel like it’s lacking emotions. Maybe because I finished writing this at 3am, knowing I’d have to get up at 6am…Feedback is appreciated.
Tumblr media
You and Five had always had a difficult relationship, this much you were well aware off. He had torn you out of your completely normal, ordinary, boring life, only to drag you from apocalypse to apocalypse. Maybe you should hate him for it, should wish he had not. Because then, in this timeline, you never would have been born.
But now you were as much a paradox as the Umbrella Academy, only that you lacked any special powers. Unless making Five stick to your side like a puppy was a special power, of course, because ever since you had left Dallas, he would not leave your side. He had even insisted on sharing not only a room, but even the bed in the Obsidian. The first time you had tried to go to the bathroom, it had taken a lot of work convince him not to blink past the locked door. Still, you had been pretty certain that he had waited outside, nervously tapping his foot or fiddling around with one of his buttons.
If anyone else would have been as clingy as the undeniably genius but also equally undeniably mad hitman, you would have probably locked them in a broom closet by now, and thrown away the key.
But something about Five was different.
To the world he seemed like a snot-nosed young man, who believed he was better and more important than everyone else in the world. He seemed cold, calculating, manipulative. And maybe he was, to a certain level. But he loved nobody more than his family; he was ready to do everything for his family.
Except endanger you.
You had lost count on how many occasions he had thrown himself in the line of fire for you, had defended you against flying bullets and insults alike. When anyone else asked for an explanation to some crazy theory he had just blurted out, they were ignored, but whenever you asked, he patiently broke down his idea into humanly understandable phrases. What impressed you most about him though was how he was able to keep up with you, with your sarcasm and stupid jokes, how he was not fed up with you after five minutes, like most of the other people. He just rolled his eyes playfully, or even played into your sarcasm, making you laugh. These past days you had gotten the feeling he liked it when you laughed.
And so you grew more attached to him. It had only been a few weeks, but you had grown to like the strange man more than you had ever expected to like anyone, and it had taken seeing him die, the old version of him anyway, to realise you loved him. Well, maybe love was a strong word, but you were certain, given enough time, those feelings thrumming in your chest eventually would turn into love. Did you want to love him thought? Most certainly not. Not in the beginning at least, when you had thought someone like him could never even remotely understand the feeling of your heart beating faster at the mere thought of the other. But after Luther‘s wedding, when everyone had been dancing, he had grabbed your hand, and pulled you close. You could smell alcohol on his breath, but his eyes were clear, this thoughts not yet jumbled by the drug.
“No matter what happens in the next days,” he had whispered into the small space between you, “No matter what happens- I’ll always be by your side. Where you go, I go. I can’t lose you, not now that I found you.”
You had looked up at him then, into his crystal blue eyes, how he had watched your face at his words, and for a moment you had thought he would kiss you, had hoped he would kiss you. But then he had wrapped his arms around you, and pulled you into his chest, hugging you tightly.
Still, ever since then you could not quite shake the thought that maybe, maybe, if the world wasn’t ending, if you weren’t frantically running down corridor after corridor, maybe then Five and you might have had some strange, weird sort of future together. But you had taken your eyes off him for one second, and suddenly you had been alone in one of the hotel rooms in Hotel Oblivion. As if that hotel itself was not weird enough already. A hotel in another dimension while your world, your universe, had been destroyed by the Kugelblitz.
Your feet were hurting from running, your lungs burning from your frantic, paniced breathing, and your throat begun to dry from your calls for any of the superheroes, when you pushed past a door, and suddenly ended back up in the foyer.
“Five!” Relief flooded you as you spotted him standing with his siblings, and he spun around alarmed at the call, only to visibly relax when he recognised you.
“(Y/n),” he breathed, meeting you halfway towards the group. You wanted to hug him, glad to have found him again, but something stopped you. Something always stopped you from showing your full range of emotions to him, perhaps the fear of rejection.
“One moment you where there and the next-”
“I know, I’m so sorry,” he interrupted you, making you perk up. He hardly ever apologized without being sarcastic, yet here he was. “I didn’t think- it doesn’t matter. I’m sorry for scaring you, and I’m glad you’re okay.” It was more like he was taking to himself, as his eyes quickly flickered over your body, checking for any injuries, before meeting your eyes again. “No more strolling off alone, from neither of us, okay?”
You nodded tight lipped, and watched him hold out his right hand to you. Confused you looked between his hand and his eyes questioningly, making him roll his eyes and take your left hand in his right one.
“If we don’t let go of one another, we can’t lose each other again,” he explained, his voice a pitch higher than usual. “So we’re holding hands until all of this is over, capiche?”
“Hey,” you protested as Five turned back to his family, and began dragging you along with him, his fingers somewhat cold and clammy around yours. “I don’t need anyone to hold hands with me, I’m no three years old.”
“Well, what a shame, because I don’t care,” Five announced over his shoulder, before the two of your joined the others, where Klaus was just explaining about how Reginald Hargreeves had killed him and Luther.
The moment the old man entered the foyer, you could feel Five stiffen up, taking a slight step forwards, so you were behind him. It was not the first time he did this, in fact, over the past days, whenever danger had arisen he had always taken a protective step in front of you. The gesture made your heart flutter, even though you were well aware, that this was neither the time nor the place for it. And yet… him being so protective over you meant more to you than you could have put into words.
But now, as the old man and Five’s siblings were fighting, your eyes wandered to one of the stars on the floor, right in front of Five. These stars on the floor had irritated you from the beginning on. They were only here, in the Hotel Oblivion, but had not been in the Hotel Obsidian, even though everything else had been mostly the same (not counting the bison’s behind and the paintings and writing). And they were only here, in the entrance hall, nowhere else in the building. They were not evenly distributed either. Actually there were only… what? A hand full, maybe half a dozen of them.
You blinked in confusion, your eyes skipping over the tiles, counting. Quickly you tucked at Five’s hand, his fingers wrapped around yours still.
“The floor,” you whispered over the argument of the others.
He did not have to turn around to know what you were referring to, but from the way he moved his head to look through the room, you knew he was counting the stars as well.
Without warning he turned around, and dragged you across the foyer towards the stairs, while the others were still fighting with Reginald Hargreeves.
“The stars,” he explained on his way up the stairs, “They form a pattern, you’re right. I want to see if it matches-”
“The sigil?”
He nodded, guiding you over to the balustrade, so you could see into the foyer. Both of you scanned the dimly lit room for the markers, trying to remember the pattern from the sigil. It was not hard, not for you at least. The image had burnt itself into your memory when Five had cut the piece of skin out of his dead future self. A shiver ran down your spine while you tried to match the pattern on the floor to that in your memory. Since the moment the old man had died, you had been terrified. The thought, that Five would die like this… not the fact that he died, but the How. For how long had he been in that bunker? Had he been all alone? Had he been scared and worried for his younger self? He had commented on how young you had looked. Had you spent a lot of time together, grown old together? All you knew was that you could not stand the idea of your Five meeting the same fate, that you would do everything you could to keep him from dying such a lonely death. Oh, how furious you had been when you had found out he had gotten the same tattoo as the one he had cut out of his own skin. Now you needed to somehow prevent him from losing his arm, and from founding the Commission. Both felt like fighting against windmills. On the other hand, the universe had been destroyed, so maybe this future of his had been successfully prevented, since all of you would die a lot earlier than that.
“Hey, I found the sigil,” Five shouted to his siblings who were still fighting with their adoptive father.
You snapped out of your thoughts, and pointed to the stars at the ground.
“It’s on the-”
You got interrupted by the sound of breaking glass, and alarmed both Five and you spun to your left, where one of the Guardians, who the others had mentioned before, broke through the glass ceiling.
Immediately your body was on fight or flight mode, and you felt Five tuck you away from where the Guardian was in free fall, pushing himself between you and the danger.
It was the flash of metal, there one second and gone the next, faster than you could have perceived, when Five suddenly cried out and stumbled to the floor. You felt his blood before you saw it in the dim light, so much blood, warm and sticky, coating your hands at an alarming rate as Five’s right hand slipped from your grip and he slumped against you. In terror you glanced down at him, at the source of so much blood, and found that where his left arm had been mere split seconds ago, only a stump was left.
The picture of the old Five in the bunker flickered before your eyes, how he had been missing his left arm, and you tasted sick on your tongue, not only from the thought of how painful it had to be to lose a limp or the smell of blood, but also from the realisation that you were one step closer to losing Five to that dark future.
Before another sound had left Five’s lips, you had quickly dragged him against the balustrade, and begun reaching for your belt. You needed to tie off the big blood vessels in his arm, so he would not bleed out. At the same time Five fumbled for his tie, thinking the same thing as you. Realising his tie was easier to access, you quickly loosened it, and pulled it over his head. His eyes were wide, sweat beginning to coat his forehead from the pain.
“I got you,” you mumbled, ignoring the sounds of a fight going on downstairs. Doubtlessly the Hargreeves were taking care of the last Guardian. Or the Guardian of them, by the sounds of it. But truth be told, you could not care less about that. All that mattered was the way blood continued spurting from Five’s wound and how desperately he looked up at you as you were kneeling in front of him. “I got you,” you repeated, tying the tie around what was left of his arm, and pulling it as tightly as possible. Five groaned in pain, making another wave of sickness spread through your stomach, but you ignored it.
“Tighter,” he whimpered. “It needs to be tighter.”
“Okay,” you nodded, while grabbing the blood slippery fabric as safely between your hands as possible. “This’ll hurt.”
You looked down at him, unable to keep the pity out of your gaze. You knew Five hated to be pitied, but still-
The way he looked up at you almost knocked all breath out of you. His eyes were soft, sad, and you had never seen anyone look at you with so much trust as he did in that moment.
“Maybe,” he began, blinking his blue eyes as if in a slight daze, “Maybe I should tell you that I-”
You did not let him finish whatever he had planned on saying. Instead you pulled the tie as tightly as possible, making Five scream out in pain, but at least the blood flow from his arm began ceasing.
“Tell me once we’ve saved the world,” you mumbled, pressing your forehead against his quickly in a gesture of comfort. His skin was cold from sweat.
“The others-” he mumbled out, and you nodded in understanding, quickly getting up. The Guardian was on the floor, but so were most of the Hargreeves.
“The sigil is on the lobby floor,” you shouted to them, while helping Five up, who rested his weight against the balustrade.
“It’s the stars,” he added.
Immediately Reginald began ordering around the others, and while you and Five watched them scurry around, one after the other finding a star on the floor to stand on. As soon as one of them was positioned, the stars underneath their feet began glowing and clicking, while the sound of a motor all around you began picking up. Confused you looked around, trying to locate the source of the sound, but it seemed to come from everywhere at once.
“Number Five, quickly!”
Only when Reginald Hargreeves shouted for him, did you notice Five had left your side and moved to the bottom of the staircase. So much for never leaving each other’s side again, huh? Quickly you moved down the stairs, rushing to him, while he exchanged looks with Alison across the room. To your left, the Guardian that somehow had recovered from the previous attack, began roaring again, as it stormed towards the others. Before you could say something, before you could reach for him, Five had begun moving, blinking himself onto the last empty star right in the middle. The moment the touched it, bright blue flashes zapped between all seven heroes and the Guardian, so blinding that you had to cover your eyes. But with covered eyes it was all the more easier to hear the agonised screams of the Hargreeve siblings and Lila. And then the flashes died down.
Quickly you looked up, finding the seven seemed to be stuck in place, lights, like spotlights in a theatre, shining down on every single one of them. A look to the side revealed the Guardian to have fallen apart, hundreds of cockroaches streaming from an empty armour.
All of a sudden, the noises around you picked up again, clicking and buzzing, like those of a huge machine, in which’s centre you found yourselves. A strangled sound from Five made you snap your attention back to the seven people in the lights. Five’s head was leant back, his arms slightly spread, and what you could see from his face he looked pained.
“Five?” Jumping down the last steps of the staircase you hurried over to the seven, but did not dare touching any of them. “What’s happening,” you asked nobody in particular, before you turned to Reginald Hargreeves. “Hey, old man! What’s happening?”
But the man did not seem to take notice of you, of your panic strained voice, as the foyer around you began to change. What had seemed like solid matter, walls, floor, doors, windows, stairs and columns, dissolved into nothingness, leaving only faint lines of light where edges had been before. The only thing that was left was the floor with the stars and a part of the reception, which began to look increasingly like a control panel. Reginald walked over to the panel, a blue half-sphere appearing over him, displaying numbers and equations in a writing you could not read. But he seemed to be able to, because he began tapping around on them, shifting them.
A particularly loud gasp from Five tore your attention away from Reginald, and back to the young man you had grown so close to. In the white light you could, all too clearly, make out the pale tone of his skin. Not just pale, white, bordering grey. His eyes were wide, only strained gasps leaving his lips, but it was obvious in how much pain he was. You watched as his cheeks fell in, while Alison began arguing with Reginald. Second by second he began resembling a starving person more than the healthy man he had been minutes ago, as if the life itself was being drained from his body.
A ping from Hargreeve’s panel, and suddenly the groaning of the in the lights trapped increased to muffled scream of pain. Your heart was racing in your chest, and you were well aware of the tears that had begun falling from your eyes, as you helplessly repeated Five’s name over and over again. You knew you could not touch the light which trapped Five. What would happen if you did? There was no way of telling. But it could end tragically. And you were no hero. You were just- you. What grand things had you ever done in your life? Nothing worth mentioning, apart maybe from the most stupid thing which had been following Five out of your house one sunny morning three apocalypses ago and then falling in love with him.
“Please,” you pleaded, addressing Alison, or the old Hargreeves or anyone else who might be able to do something now. “Please, stop this. Please.”
Instead you had to watch as little glimmers of light began separating themselves from Five’s skin, and drifted upwards towards the invisible source of the spotlight that kept him trapped. More and more he looked like a days old corpse, but still he began talking, his eyes focused on Alison.
“He killed Luther,” he pressed out, “He tried to kill Klaus. He won’t stop before we’re all dead.”
You could not muffle the sob that slipped from your lips, as your knees gave out.
“’s gonna be alright,” Five mumbled, before a pained groan shut him up again, but you knew he had been talking to you. You wanted to punch him, wanted to mock him. How could things be alright after this? You had no way to stop whatever his deranged adoptive father was doing to him and his siblings. You did not know how to fight, had no weapon to either-
Unless…
Your eyes flickered across the room, searching for one of Diego’s knives, or one of the weapons the Guardian might have dropped. But the moment you spotted the sickle, Alison already picked it up. Frozen, you watched as she approached her adoptive father, and brought the weapon down on his head. The moment Reginald Hargreeves’ knees gave out, the lights suddenly died down, releasing its captives, and next to you Five collapsed on the ground.
“Five,” you gasped out, and quickly gathered him in your arms, pulling you into your lap. His skin was grey, stretching over easily visible bones. His eyes were dull, as if he were 200 years old, and his right hand weakly wrapped into your shirt, holding onto you as tightly as his weak state allowed.
“Hey, hey, I got you,” you whispered, reminding yourself that you had told him these words just minutes prior, when he had lost his arm. “I’m right here, I got you.” Carefully you brushed a strand of his jet black hair out of his eyes, your fingertips grazing his skin slightly. It felt so odd, so cold, so dead.
“Alison,” Five had turned his head towards where Alison had stepped over the corpse of the old Hargreeves into the centre of the panel, her hand hovering over a red button that had appeared on the screen. “Alison, don’t touch that button. We don’t know what it does!”
Viktor too was screaming for Alison to stop, even strong enough to have gotten up already and summoning his powers in the form of a blinding blue light. Would the fighting ever stop?
“Don’t do this,” Viktor warned, his fists lifted to his chest, ready to attack.
“Do you trust me,” Alison asked, holding Viktor’s gaze, who slowly let his arms down and the light dimmed until it had disappeared completely.
“Viktor, what are you doing,” Five asked, beginning roll out of where you had lifted him to rest his head in your lap. “Stop her.”
“If there’s one thing I know about big red buttons, it’s that – no matter how tempting they are – they should not be pressed,” you reminded Alison, slowly getting up from your spot on the floor, while the others joined Five’s plea not to press the button. But still she turned away from her the others and you, slowly bringing her hand down on the button.
You felt Five reach for you, and then everything got drowned in white.
~*~
Slowly an elevator door opened, revealing the middle of a small park, in what sounded like the centre of a big city, judging by the noise of traffic. Warm fingers were wrapped around yours, and when you looked up, you found Five looking down on you. His jaw was tightened, as if he expected to walk from Apocalypse Number 3 directly into Apocalypse Number 4. You felt his fingers carefully tighten around yours, and you adjusted your hand so you could do the same, while the others slowly began leaving the elevator. Five and you followed them.
In the middle of the small crossing of six paths stood a bust. Curiously you strolled over, Five in tow, to read the plate that was attached below it.
“Obsidian Memorial Park, Graciously donated by Sir Reginald Hargreeves, this first day of October 1989,” you read out in a whisper. Five’s fingers tightened around yours.
While you were still around, a commotion started up in front of the elevator, and you suddenly spotted Luther, alive and well, visible for all of you and not just Klaus, standing in front of it. He enthusiastically hugged Victor, lifting him up, as all the others too watched in astonishment. As Luther and everyone else realised he had the normal body of a well-trained man now, instead of that of an ape, you felt Five move at your side, and turned to look at him, your breath catching in your throat as you saw how he was holding out his left arm in front of his body.
“I got my arm back,” he marvelled, turning his hand in the dim light of the park.
Again you felt tears well up in your eyes, but this time out of pure relief. Five had his arm back, which meant that there was still time to prevent the future you had seen for him.
“I got my arm back,” he repeated, turning to you, a bright smile on his face which in itself made your breath hitch. And then he let go of your hand, gathering you up in his arms instead, lifting you so your feet were in the air, and twirled you around, giggling into your neck, while you wrapped your arms around his shoulders, and laughed. You laughed like you had not laughed in weeks, not caring about what his siblings might think. Truthfully, right now you did not care what anyone was thinking. The only thing that mattered was that Five was with you, and he was alive and uninjured and seemingly healthy. You could deal with all the endings of the world in the universe if he was by your side.
When Five put you down again, both of you slightly out of breath the atmosphere around you had cooled down harshly. Luther was looking for Sloane, and Alison seemed to be missing too. That definitely put a damper on the whole ‘we’re still alive and somehow prevented the apocalypse’-situation.
“Hey,” suddenly Luther came storming over to you and Five, harshly grabbing him by the collar of his jacket. “I don’t care about any resets, alright?” You protested, grabbing Luther’s wrist in warning, trying to tuck him away from Five. “I want my wife back, Five. Where is she?”
“I’m glad you’re alive, but please take your hand off me,” Five answered Luther a lot calmer than you were.
At that Luther grabbed Five’s collar with both hands, pulling him closer threateningly.
“Luther, that’s enough,” you tried interfering but Luther ignored you entirely.
“Not until you give me an answer,” he snarled at Five.
“Okay, screw this,” Five decided, lifting his hands in order to blink out, but nothing happened. No blue light signalling the opening of a portal, nothing. “Something’s wrong.”
Immediately panic swept into his eyes, which landed on you, as if to search for help while you watched with baited breath.
“That’s right, something’s wrong,” Luther growled, “You’re about to get your ass kicked.”
“No, you moron, my power,” Five rolled his eyes, looking up at his brother. “I can’t blink.”
At that Luther let go of Five, who quickly straightened out his jacket before turning to you. You only half noticed how the other siblings tried summoning their powers but failed miserably, as Five grabbed your hand in his again.
Slowly the group began splitting up; Luther running off to find Sloane, Klaus following him. Diego and Lila, left holding hands, and Viktor too sighed, and slowly strode off, no clear idea where to go.
Which left Five and you, holding hands in the middle of a park at night. Slowly you looked at him, the question of what you should do now dying on your lips, as you saw the absentminded gaze with which he was scrutinizing you.
“The thing I was about to say before...” he trailed of as if he expected you to remember.
“What thing?”
“The thing I was about to say before you rudely interrupted me by cutting off all blood supply to my arm-”
“Oh, you mean where I saved you from bleeding you,” you asked, raising your eyebrows at him challengingly.
Five rolled his eyes at you.
“You’re insufferable, you know that,” he asked with a sigh, before his piercing blue eyes met yours again.
“Yet here you are, holding my hand,” you pointed out.
Five glanced down to your joined hands hanging in the space between you, gently running his thumb over the back of your hand.
Not looking back up at you, he continued.
“Anyway, as I was about to say- not matter how many apocalypses we have to face in the future… I want you to know that I will do absolutely anything to make sure you are safe. I dragged you into this mess; I am the one who needs to make sure you are safe. And I don’t care what it coasts me.”
“But I do, Five,” you shook your head, trying to get him to look at you, but his eyes were fixed on your hands. “I care what it costs you, and you can’t risk your life, or limbs or- you can’t put yourself at risk for me.”
“Why not?”
“’cause you’re special, Five. The world needs you, needs the Umbrella Academy-”
“Not anymore,” he shrugged. “I lost my powers and, you know, I think maybe that’s a good thing, for once. Maybe, maybe we can just stay here, you know, the two of us. In this world. Screw the apocalypse, the end of the universe… we could just… stay here. Stay together.”
It took a moment for the words to settle in, and confused you blinked.
“Wouldn’t… wouldn’t you grow tired of me,” you asked carefully, not sure if you understood correctly what Five was implying.
“You know I could never grow tired of you,” he denied, finally looking at you again. “I thought I knew the range of human emotions, thought I knew what- what love is, but these past weeks… you-” He exhaled, and shook his head. “Truth is, I don’t care which world or which apocalypse I have to live in, as long as it’s with you. Does that sound stupid?”
You laughed quietly, and took a step closer to Five, reaching your free hand up to cup his face. Immediately he snuggled into you touch, his eyes fluttering closed. His skin was warm now, a lot warmer than just a few minutes ago when the machine had sucked the life out of him.
“It does,” you told him. “I at least prefer this world-” you paused to signal him you were referring to your surroundings, “to the apocalypse world you described to me.”
Five nodded.
“I get that,” he agreed.
“Hey, Five,” you called quietly. Slowly his eyes opened again. “Can I kiss you?”
For a moment his eyes widened in shock, before he surprised you by leaning forward and pressing his lips to yours in a desperate but gentle kiss. His lips were hot and soft, smooth as they pressed to yours. He let go of your hand, which he had still been holding, wrapping the arm around your waist instead, while he brought the other up to your neck, carefully holding you in place. Your hand was still on his face, the other propped against his chest, feeling the fast beating of his heart under your palm. Five kissed you like he was drowning and you were the only thing that kept him alive. And maybe that was partially true. After Luther’s wedding he had told you that he would continue fighting if you asked him to, that the only reason he would stop this apocalypse, would be to save you, if you wanted that. You had told him there was no way to save the world, and that you would rather spend the last few hours with him than trying to chase a solution that did not exist. But there you were now. In a new world, a new universe even, your hand wrapped into the front of his dress shirt, his fingers massaging small figures into your neck as his lips connected to yours over and over again.
When the kiss eventually broke, Five wrapped both of his arms around you, and lifted you in the air again, twirling you around once more. His face was buried in your neck, your nose pressed into his short, black hair. And when he set you down again, both of you dizzy from the spinning, he gently cupped your jaw.
“Where ever we go from here on out,” he whispered, “we go together.”
His blue eyes were blazing with passion, making your breath hitch, and you nodded, pressing your forehead against his.
“Together,” you promised.

Thoughts about Gandra Dee and Fenton?
This is a slightly edited version of a post I made last year.
This is something that has confused me for a long time, and I'd love for any fendra fans or fans of Gandra in general to weigh in (or anyone in the Ducktales fandom). I was wondering what some of your headcanons are about the missing gaps the series left untouched regarding Gandra's relationship with Fenton and her role in F.O.W.L. (which I go over in this post).
I don't hate Gandra, but I've always had a hard time liking her because of how poorly developed/explained and rushed the revelation of her backstory, true reasons for being in F.O.W.L., redemption, and relationship with Fenton in season 3's 'Beaks In the Shell' all were. At least, I personally found them very poorly developed because- between her first appearance in 'The Dangerous Chemistry of Gandra Dee', the reveal she was part of F.O.W.L. at the end of season 2, and the majority of her time in season 3 acting against the Ducks- she was shown purely as an antagonists much more often than not, which is the main problem.
Tumblr media
At the end of the season 2 finale ‘Moonvasion’, Gandra was revealed to be a member of F.O.W.L. This left a lot of us reeling with so many questions. Especially with the way 'Dangerous Chemistry of Gandra Dee' ended- with her helping Fenton defeat Mark Beaks (who'd hired her as part of a trap for Fenton), then quietly leaving him with the parting gift of the correct equation to finish his big project with the note "To a fellow scientist" (as a way of apologizing for all she did, as well as showing he'd earned her respect) before just vanishing without any word of apology or any real explanation:

I always felt that Fenton seemed to forgive Gandra too easily at the end of 'The Dangerous Chemistry of Gandra Dee' after how upset and hurt he was by her actions. Yes, I admit she took responsibility for just using Fenton by (1) first going after Mark Beaks on her own to stop him when he went mad with power, kidnapped Huey and Webby, and went on a rampage in the city, (2) then teaming up with Fenton to take Beaks down, (3) then giving him what he needed to successfully finish his project.
BUT it just feels like it wasn't enough, especially after she not only took advantage of him to get funding from Mark Beaks in the first place, but also short-circuited the Gizmoduck armor (leaving Fenton helpless) when he was originally trying to stop Beaks himself. Even though it's likely she probably only protected Beaks there because she still needed to get paid from him, it was still extremely selfish, especially because 'Mega-Beaks' could have seriously hurt Fenton without the armor if he wanted to (instead of just deciding to grab the kids and go on a rampage in the city for attention instead, which she did not expect him to do).
Tumblr media
The next time we saw Fenton and Gandra together (and learned they'd been in a secret relationship all along, and were working on a top-secret project together), it was in 'Beaks In the Shell', which is one of the last episodes of season 3 (only three episodes away from 'The Last Adventure'):
Tumblr media
Ever since the very end of season 2, we learned she was one of F.O.W.L.'s agents, and she was seen actively working against the Ducks with them in a few episodes in the third season. And the big twist about Gandra and Fenton in 'Beaks In the Shell' just seemed to come absolutely out of nowhere. Ever since I first saw that episode back when it first aired, I have always been extremely curious- and wish they'd somehow elaborated at least little more- about the following:
How and when did they reconnect after 'Dangerous Chemistry' (which took place in the middle of season 2, while 'Beaks In the Shell' happened near the end of season 3)?
How did that conversation go and what was said? How exactly did Gandra earn Fenton's trust after hurting him so badly? That is, how could he be absolutely sure he could trust her (even after she presumably told him- off-screen, anyway- her backstory leading to making a lot of bad choices in her desperation to get her science projects funded?
How did it not compromise Fenton's morals (because he's such a morally upright person, a total goody-goody) to be in a relationship with somebody with such a shady past, who was currently part of an evil spy organization? It's obvious he wanted to give her a chance after hearing her backstory, and understood that she's not really a bad person, but I just don't understand how he still didn't feel conflicted.
How long Gandra had been in F.O.W.L.? Did she join before or after meeting Fenton?
How long were they secretly a couple and working on their GizmoCloud project, respectively?
What was the extent of Gandra's knowledge of Bradford's plans? Other than retrieving the Missing Mysteries as part of F.O.W.L.'s ultimate goal to destroy all adventure, chaos, and unpredictability and take over the world (which she already knew), what else did she know?
What was the extent of Fenton's knowledge of F.O.W.L.'s plans from Gandra? (Did he know everything she knew? Did she fill him in on anything? Or did she withhold certain information from him for his own protection?)
Didn't the fact that Fenton was dating a F.O.W.L. agent- especially since Gandra actually participated in sabotaging the Ducks in a couple episodes, like 'Escape From the ImpossiBin' and 'The Sword of Swanstantine'- technically make him a traitor?? Especially if he presumably knew that F.O.W.L. was actively plotting against his close friends and allies before the family even found out about that at the end of 'Let's Get Dangerous''!! (Whiiich actually makes the so-called joke in 'Escape From the ImpossiBin' about Fenton randomly being on Beakley's board of potential traitors/secret F.O.W.L. agents make much more sense in retrospect...) If he knew about F.O.W.L. from Gandra before the Ducks, why wouldn't he have alerted them?? It's not like he would've had to say anything about being together with her, so I can't really see her protesting.

When Huey was initially horrified and outraged to accidentally discover Fenton was together with "Agent Dee" all along (he even shrieked at Fenton, "Are you a F.O.W.L. agent?!"), even after Gandra explained her backstory and deeper reasons for being in F.O.W.L. to the kid, it was SUCH a missed opportunity for him to demand how Fenton could be sure Gandra wasn't just using him like she did back in 'Dangerous Chemistry' (Huey had been there on his disastrous date with Gandra; he helped organize the date and also had discovered that she was really a spy for Mark Beaks).
And it was also a missed opportunity for Huey to demand of Gandra what F.O.W.L. was planning, what they wanted with the Missing Mysteries, and why they were after his family!
Aaaand a missed opportunity for her to apologize to Huey for her part in trying to sabotage the Ducks, even tho she did have to play her role convincingly to F.O.W.L. so they wouldn't suspect she wasn't truly on their side.
There should have been more emphasis on the fact that Gandra was risking her liberty and her life by using F.O.W.L.'s resources and money behind their backs to help develop the GizmoCloud with Fenton, as well as the risk Gandra was taking by quitting F.O.W.L., since both those made her a traitor to the organization (in fact, I go into more detail on that in this post)
Obviously, Gandra planned to launch the GizmoCloud with Fenton after leaving F.O.W.L. for good, as she even said in 'Beaks In the Shell'... but wouldn't it also make sense for her to kind of help the Ducks in their fight against F.O.W.L.?? (I mean, she was the one who hacked into Scrooge's 'ImpossiBin' security system- on Bradford's orders, granted, but still- to distract the family so that F.O.W.L. could steal all the Missing Mysteries the family collected thus far, so it would've been a way to redeem herself) They could've really used her inside knowledge of the organization!! I'm surprised nothing was said about that.
It would have made so much more sense if (throughout season 3 until 'Beaks In the Shell') there had been an anonymous person leaving the Ducks tips about F.O.W.L.'s next move, who would've ofc turned out to be Gandra. But the closest thing we got to seeing her as a double-agent was when it was revealed in 'Beaks In the Shell' that she'd been tipping off Fenton to stop her as Gizmoduck whenever F.O.W.L. sends her to steal resources; to keep F.O.W.L. and anyone else from being suspicious, they would stage a chase or fight and she would 'let' him get back whatever item she stole. That was well-done, but I still think her being this anon source of intel tipping off the Ducks in episodes would have been more effective...
...Because when you think about this exchange between Huey and Gandra in that episode- "No! You attacked us! You stole stuff for F.O.W.L.!" / "I've been tipping Fenton off to stop me before I do!"- it doesn't make sense at all or even mean much. That apparently only applied to miscellaneous items and resources F.O.W.L. was after, not the Missing Mysteries...?! In 'Escape From the ImpossiBin', she genuinely hacked into Scrooge's new-and-improved security system to distract the Ducks (or kill them, if possible) while the rest of F.O.W.L. stole the Missing Mysteries the family collected so far. In the very next episode 'The Sword of Swanstantine', Gandra was genuinely after the Sword along with the rest of the agents. She wasn't acting those times, she never tipped off Fenton then! (Did he even know about them? And how would/did he feel about it?)

It's just that... as much as I understand and appreciate the show's efforts to make Gandra morally-grey and misunderstood, and while I definitely get that she isn't a fundamentally bad person but somebody who made a lot of bad choices from a tough life (which Frank Angones even confirmed in the art book), she was shown doing far more bad things than good. I know she and Fenton are only side characters, so it would have been difficult to give her a more fleshed-out arc like with Lena- and this was the final season, too- but I'd like to think my idea of her being this mysterious anon source of intel for the Ducks until it was revealed to be her would've worked much better and made more sense. Instead, her whole arc was confined to a single scene in one episode:
Gandra (explaining to Huey): “My whole life, I’ve tried to push the boundaries of science, but that means people don’t always get what you’re doing. Super-science can be dangerous. It’s why I ended up having to experiment on myself… and why the only people who fund my work are villains who don’t care how much destruction I cause.”
I just felt it was handled in a very sloppy manner (at least, that's my take) and still left a lot of questions. I truthfully think she's a really cool character, and I love that she's not only a baddass female but coded as a woman of color too (like her voice-actress). I don't hate her, but I definitely wish I liked her better. I wish so many things had been better explained.
I have some headcanon of my own that I'll discuss in this second part to this post, but this one is already too long, so I'll wrap it up here.
