“we’re going to be late for lunch, satoru.” you scolded your boyfriend. he had a bad habit of being late for things. it was something that principal yaga hoped you could fix in satoru. you were always punctual, but satoru could never be early for something to save his life.

“it’s just nanami. he won’t mind. plus, that gives him time to talk to the cute cashier at coco’s.” satoru laughed at the thought of his shy junior trying to flirt with the cafe employee.

it was yours and satoru’s lunch break at jujutsu high and every wednesday, you had lunch with nanami at a small hole-in-the-wall cafe called coco’s you used to frequent when you were students. coco’s was the place to be for greasy food after late night missions or for early morning breakfasts back in the day.

satoru and you walked together, hand in hand. cherry blossoms flowing in the wind, cars bustling back and forth on the busy streets of shibuya. you bumped your hips playfully into satoru’s while he grinned at you, he’d get you back for that later. your shikigami birds flying overhead, scanning the area for any threats. your birds liked to go on walks with you and satoru.

satoru opened the door to the cafe to see nanami already seated at your usual table, reading his weekly newspaper.

“ladies first,” he said as you walked in front of him to greet the 7:3 sorcerer.

“hi nanamin!” you smiled cheerfully, “how’s work going?”

“hey, (y/n). nothing’s changed.” nanami grumbled. he flipped to the next page of his newspaper.

“wanna come back and just be a full time sorcerer?” satoru asked him with hope in his eyes. he was always looking for a partner in crime now that tsumiki was studying abroad for high school and she was always busy with all her extracurricular activities. satoru hated that you raised such a popular and social child.

“what? ijichi not good enough?” nanami retorted.

“no way, ijichi is too scared to break any rules.” satoru scoffed.

you and satoru sat down in the booth across from nanami. you three were regulars here and the cafe always had your coffee ready. you had a hot vanilla latte with soy milk, satoru had a caramel frappucino, and nanami had an iced americano.

“it’s nanami’s turn to order today.” you said with a sly smile. the cute cashier with brown hair was working today. satoru and you always tried to get nanami to ask her out in hopes that one day you could double date.

“i think not, i ordered last week. it’s gojo’s.”

“you really want him to order?” you pointed at your boyfriend, “he messed up both of our orders last time.”

satoru started to say, “hey! in my defense—”

“forget it, i’ll do it.” you interrupted him as you got up from your chair. behind your shoulder, you shot a glare at the blindfolded sorcerer. he gave you a shit-eating grin. you knew he would’ve winked at you if it wasn’t for his blindfold.

the two men watched you approach the cashier to order lunch for the three of you: a turkey blt minus the tomato for you, a grilled cheese for satoru, and a ham sandwich for nanami.

“come on, nanami. just ask her for her number.” the white-haired sorcerer egged on his blonde colleague.

nanami always frequented this cafe because he enjoyed the ham sandwiches here, not because there was a cute girl who worked here.

“i will do no such thing, gojo. quit bothering me and go get our food.” nanami said sternly.

“nah, (y/n) is gonna grab our food because she wants to make sure they didn’t put tomatoes in her sandwich.” satoru put his elbow on the table, chin in his hand, and tapped his cheek with his fingers. he watched as you gave the cashier your order number. he smiled when he saw you lift your slice of bread up to check for tomatoes.

laughing, satoru softly said, “that’s my girl.”

“did she check for the tomato?” nanami asked.

“yup.”

you returned to your usual booth in the corner of the cafe as you set the tray down onto the table. the men reached for their assigned sandwiches.

“babe, you have the most childlike order. who orders a grilled cheese? the last time someone in this family ordered a grilled cheese was when tsumiki was like 9.”

“obviously not the lactose intolerant.” satoru retorted knowing you were the lactose intolerant, “the grilled cheese is good here. they use 3 different kinds of cheeses, they toast the bread with butter, and the sourdough is exquisite.”

you and nanami stared at satoru as he took a bite into his grilled cheese. the cheese pull from his mouth and the sandwich was entertaining to watch.

“delicious as always.” he gave you and nanami a thumbs up as you both rolled your eyes at him.

you wiped the remaining bread crumbs from the side of his mouth with a smile and kissed him on the cheek. you happily returned to your own sandwich. nanami watched the way you and satoru interacted with each other all the time, he never really felt like a third wheel, but for some reason he did today.

during lunch, you updated nanami about the latest gossip at the school which was totally about yuta and maki flirting with each other between classes, how megumi is preparing to enter jujutsu high, and satoru talked about toge’s latest mission.

“so… what’s new with you?” you asked nanami. he wiped his mouth politely with his napkin before speaking.

“i’ve just been working. it’s the end of a closing period, so buying and selling stocks have been keeping me busy.”

“are you busy enough to not be able to go on a double date?” you started batting your eyelashes at nanami, “i will literally ask her right now.” you pointed at the cashier.

“she will do it.” satoru instigated, nodding in agreement while sipping his frappucino. he knew you were stubborn, and you always got your way. especially with him.

“please, don’t bother her. she’s working.” nanami sighed.

“i have 4 tickets to the teamlab digital art museum, and you’re coming with me and satoru.” you stated, shoving the tickets in nanami’s face.

satoru gasped excitedly, “babe, when did you get those tickets?!”

“don’t worry about it,” you ignored your boyfriend and slyly peered at nanami, “what do you say, nanami?”

“like i said—”

“okay, great! i’ll ask her right now!” you quickly jumped out of your seat and walked towards the cashier. nanami face palmed his forehead in defeat, satoru watched you sprint to the counter with a grin.

“hi!” you said cheerfully.

“oh, how can i help you? did you get everything with your order?” the sweet cashier asked.

“yes, i did! i actually wanted to talk,” you peered at her name tag, “alicia. that’s a cute name. are you from around here?”

“i’m not! i’m actually studying abroad, it’s my last year at the university.” she replied with a smile.

you introduced yourself with your best foot forward, “well, i’m (y/n) (l/n), i’m a high school administrative secretary. the tall blindfolded guy with the white hair over there in the corner is satoru gojo. he’s a teacher and he’s my boyfriend, unfortunately. and our friend, the handsome blonde, is the one and only, kento nanami.”

“oh, i know who you guys are. my boss told me that you guys have been coming here for like 10 years. he says whatever you guys ask for, to give it to you.” alicia smiled and leaned in closer to you and whispered curiously, “do you guys really like the food here that much?”

you started laughing, your cheeky smile hiding your bright green eyes, “it’s decent food and it’s nostalgic for us. for some reason my boyfriend likes the grilled cheese. i’m lactose intolerant so i would never touch it and—”

“and you hate tomatoes.” alicia added confidently.

“that’s correct.” you laughed, “so, alicia… our friend nanami over there. he thinks you are super cute. would you like to join us on a double date sometime?” you mouthed ‘please’, alicia’s face blushing.

you could sense nanami’s cursed energy flaring. his embarrassment was hard to hide as he turned bright red, satoru’s arms around his shoulder playfully teasing him.

alicia smiled at you, “i’d love to. kento has always been super nice to me whenever we’ve talked.”

“right? he won the ‘most likely to end up on the bachelor’ vote in high school. satoru was a little jealous about that.” you giggled, “here’s nanami’s number, alicia.” you slipped her a pink sticky note with his cell phone number.

you winked and waved at the sweet cashier and walked back to your table where your boyfriend and long-time friend sat.

“thank me later, nanami. i expect to be included in your wedding vows.” you teased the 7:3 sorcerer.

Running through the streets of London isnt exactly how Y/n imagined her Thursday morning. She more so expected to be doing normal physio assistant things, like maybe taking details or helping the Physiotherapist but no. Coffee runs. She quickly stumbled into the coffee shop to be faced with a massive line to the counter. She was given twenty minutes to be back, how was she gonna do that now? She took her phone out and called the clinic she worked for, waiting for them to answer. "Hello?" The familiar voice of her boss answered. "Hey, it's me Y/n? The line here is huge, I wont be able to be back on time." She explained. "I mean, take your time I suppose. Just be back before ten." She looked at the time. "But that's in twenty five minutes."

"Yes?"

"Nothing, I'll get back as soon as possible." She hung up and sighed, a string of curses being let out underneath her breath. "Next please!"

"Two caramel lattes, one hazelnut latte with hazelnut milk, a chai tea, three cappuccinos and an americano with soy milk and a sugar." She gasped out in one breath. The barista smiled at her. "Whatt size?" She thought for a moment. "Just give me them all large."

"£41.60 altogether please." Her jaw nearly hit the floor. "Jesus, that's gonna hurt the bank account." She chuckled, takingher card out to tap.

"I'm so sorry miss, it declined." Y/n groaned. "Are you sure?" The barista nodded. "Is there any way I could put this on a tab and pay later? My wages are in today." She shook her head. "I'm afraid not." Right then, she spotted a card being handed across her shoulder. "I'll pay-" She cut the polite stranger off. "No, I have cash." She quickly muttered, opening her purse and handing over a fifty pound note. Y/n received her change and quickly grabbed her coffee and speed walked towards the door. "Six pounds for a fucking cup of flavoured water and milk." She muttered, leaving the coffee shop. She heard a chuckle from someone behind her. She turned to see a man with brown hair, almost as if it was off of a Disney Prince. "Sorry, that was hilarious." He said. "Well it's true. Shouldn't be over 3 pounds. It wasnt where I'm from."

"Well, I'm here because you left your card for the tube at the counter." She looked down and saw him handing her a card. "Oh my god, thank you!" She exclaimed. "Could you just put it in my pocket please? My hands are full." The man put the card into her coat pocket and then went in front of her to open the door. "After you." He smiled. "Whhy thank you?" She paused and waited for his name. "Mason. And you're welcome?"

"Y/n." The smile stayed the same. "Nice name." Y/n shivered as she stood in the street. "Freezing, isnt it?" She said through jittering teeth. "I can give you a lift if you'd like. My cars only a minute away." Mason said pointing down the street. "No, no. I'm fine getting the tube." She said. "You sure?" She nodded. "Well I mean theres two stops I could get off at but the one that goes a bit further is three minutes closer to work." Mason smiled again. She kind of loved his smile. "It'll be quicker by car. Theres mental lines at the tube, especially this time of year." She thought to herself for a while before kindly accepting his offer. "As long as you aren't a serial killer." She joked. "Ah, my covers blown now." She giggled at his light hearted response. They continued talking until they reached his car. Now, Y/n expected something different, a car that someone his age would have like maybe a polo or a ford but what wasnt on her list was a custom black mercedes g wagon.

"This is your car?" He nodded and opened the door. "Just bought it. Real fast." He said. Y/n was dumbfounded. Who was this guy? "What are you, a doctor or something?" She asked, sitting into the car. "Nah, guess again." He closed the door and walked around to his side where he got in. "You a doctor maybe?" He shook his head and looked out the window to look for traffic. "How about celebrity? You a secret celebrity?" He grinned. "Something like that."

"Singer?"

"No."

"Actor?"

"No."

"Model?"

"Sometimes." Her face twisted. "What do you mean sometimes?" She asked. "Sometimes I'm asked to model soome stuff." She thought for a minute. "Footballer?" He looked over and nodded. "Chelsea?" He nodded again. "You're not Mason Mount are you?"

"And shes won it!" He exclaims. "So what is it that you do, since you know mine and all." He asked. "I'm a physio assistant. I graduated in September." Mason nodded. "Are you working in a hospital? A clinic?"

"I'm working in a clinic. I hate them all there but its work." She sighed and looked out the window. "Well, if you ever need, I've got links in Chelsea." He joked. "Ha, ha. How'd you get links there?" She joked back. "You know what I mean though. If you ever need out of there, just let me know." She smiled and looked out the window. "And how will I manage to do that?" She paused. "This is my stop." She said. As Mason pulled in, she turned back to face him, but was instead faced by his phone, opened. "Giving me an iPhone 11? How generous." She chuckled. "No, no, put your number in. That's how you're gonna message me about Chelsea." She smiled as she took his phone. "Or anything else."

Y/n typed her number in before handing it back. "Same goes for you. Thanks for the lift by the way." She smiled and hopped out, but by the time she turned around to wave goodbye, her prince charming was already gone, and nothing but a memory that made her smile like nothing ever had.

kendall: tall hot americano with a splash of steamed nonfat milk (i think he’s a caffeine addict but likes to keep it simple)

shiv: grande skinny caramel macchiato EXTRA HOT with almond milk bcuz her liberal loving taste buds can’t handle the real deal

roman: i don’t think he’d be the coffee type but if he did he would need something to get down fast to do the job. maybe a doppio espresso macchiato. i think he’d secretly order a tall hot chocolate tho on the regular

connor: one venti vanilla sweet cream cold brew for the future president of AMERICA PLEASE!

microceleb au coffee orders?

kyle: iced latte, probably puts in sweetener himself because he doesn’t trust the barista to not make it too sweet. always gets oat milk because he’s definitely lactose intolerant

stan: frappuccino but iced mocha when he’s on tour, giving someone a coffee run his order, or when he feels randomly insecure about being a grown man ordering a milkshake at a coffee shop. also oat milk but it’s not for health reasons he’s just gay. he got into it during a 2 week vegan phase and just never stopped.

cartman: orders whatever tastes the least like coffee, so like those comically sweet frappuccinos or normal coffee but with like 6 pumps of caramel. he gets regular milk and thinks anyone who gets alternative milk is a pussy.

kenny: black coffee, maybe with creamer if he’s feeling whimsical. he wants to maximize the amount of caffeine in his drink as much as he can. he’s also just weird about food so this very much extends to coffee.

craig: never drinks coffee in front of people because he can only actually enjoy it if it tastes nothing like coffee and just straight up vanilla. he can’t risk being absolutely torn to shreds for this so he keeps his order on the down low and just takes those caffeine pills if he REALLY needs to be awake.

tweek: exclusively black coffee. he also doesn’t get coffee at shops if he can avoid it and prefers to make his own because he doesn’t trust other people making his drinks. wonder why that could be!

tolkien: iced latte, probably with some flower add on like lavender or rose. preference for soy milk but isn’t all that picky, milk is milk and coffee is coffee to him. when someone asks if he wants them to pick up a coffee for him he shrugs and goes “get me whatever idc” and this drives people INSANE. also prefers to make his coffee at home but for reasons unrelated to trauma and completely related to him having an incredible espresso machine.

clyde: not a coffee guy but is unashamed of it. he orders hot chocolate at coffee shops in any weather and says it loud and proud. coffee also makes his stomach hurt so he doesn’t wanna deal with that unlike some people (kyle).

jimmy: iced americano. got it for the first time on accident because he ordered it without knowing what it was to seem cultured and smart and then decided he never wanted to put milk in his coffee again. he’s also a big fan of just getting a tall bottle of cold brew and drinking it in like 3 minutes flat and someone not getting a stomachache.

butters: he makes sure to stay on top of when every seasonal or limited drink comes out so he can get them IMMEDIATELY. he makes a huge deal about getting his first pumpkin spice latte of the season every fall when it comes out. orders hot coffee in any weather like a freak.

wendy: iced latte, no sugar, just almond milk and coffee. she loves to order an iced latte and sit in a coffee shop for like 4 hours on her grindset just typing away on her computer, usually orders like 2-3 more in the time she’s there and leaves trembling like a scared chihuahua.

Happy to have reached 97lbs bmi 15.9 considering my goal was to get from 106 to 98 by Christmas break. Had a metabolism day (1300-1400cal) day following a period of restricting 500-900 cals a day and the odd 20-48 hr fast.

My next step is to go for maintainence/slower weight loss until Christmas break bc if I’m too much smaller than I am now idk how my parents will react although I’d love to be at UGW asap and I totally would if nobody cared or I was scared of being forced into recovery.

My college is catered so I have to eat at the canteen so i don’t know 100 percent exact calories but I was able to lose weight relatively fast by monitoring my portions, fasts, eating less fatty/refined carb food (not cutting completely though unless it’s something that’s a lot of fat and carbs combined), one or two meals a day (OMAD was usually dinner and if I had two meals it could be any of breakfast and dinner, lunch and dinner or breakfast and lunch) and trying to get 10k steps in most days (approx 5 days a week).

I’m going to do a week of this kind of eating and see what effect it has. However I won’t do the fasts (apart from a short ish one on Fridays see why below) and will have 3 meals. But I’ll still get my steps and keep the meals light with no snacks. I’ll see if this results in maintenance or slow weight loss. If I’m doing 3 meals I’m going to try and have dairy even less often (use soy in my tea and coffee and avoid creamy salads however 1 small bowl of natural yoghurt allowed each day and veggie instead of vegan option for dinner if the vegan option looks too oily or carby)

Breakfast

(The serving bowls are so cute and tiny at uni so it helps with portion control. Most people have a couple of bowls of different things or go back for more). Nothing too heavy like bagels butter or avocado. No porridge/oatmeal because idk exactly how they prepare it I think it’s done fully with hot milk and no muesli.

- tea/coffee with soy x3 (no sugar just sweetener)

- 2 weetabix with soy OR

- cornflakes with soy OR

- bran flakes with soy OR

-rice krispies with soy

Lunch (no mains)

- small bowl of soup AND

- small bowl of natural yogurt (2 not 3 scoops) AND

-small plate with 1 scoop of healthy grains and 1 scoop salad greens/veggies

Dinner

- choose the healthiest looking main either vegan, vegetarian or fish

- only veggies and salad on the side no extra carbs like potatoes and rice

Fridays

On Friday the dinner options tend to be a bit more fatty than other days of the week, so safest bet is to OMAD on Friday. Options are usually pies battered fish and battered vegan sausage. Stick to veggies and salad on the side and fake eating a bagel or something heavier for breakfast so parents don’t suspect anything.

Weekends

Brunch

Eat brunch instead of breakfast. If you must eat breakfast stick to salad and yoghurt for lunch. Don’t eat the hash browns or toast stick to sources of protein. No bacon or meat sausages bc I’m pescatarian and they are super fatty I wouldn’t eat them even if I ate meat.

- tea or coffee with soy and sweetener x3

- 2 veggie sausages, scrambled eggs and 1 scoop of baked beans OR

-1 veggie patty, 1 veggie sausage, scrambled egg and 1 scoop of baked beans

-The baked beans can be swapped for a small serving of natural yogurt (in a separate bowl obviously) if that’s what I’m craving more

Beverages outside canteen

- Americano with splash of milk, cinnamon and sweetener at Starbucks (tall or grande)

- ask for skimmed/soy/almond milk in lattes and cappuccinos (choose smallest size)

- 0-10 calorie sodas

-No more than 100 liquid calories in a day (keep this number small as possible)

La realidad es que para que ella le responda Sur tenía que hacer lo que ella quería, aun si el no quería hacerlas.

-Bueno veras, mi querido cuidador no me vio en dos meses, y su castigo fue este.-Guayana se quitaba la toalla de la cabeza, mostrando sus risos negros que caían con mucha elegancia- Podrías secarme el pelo con la secadora querido primo.

Sur suspiro, pero fue por la máquina y empezó. No era la primera ni la última vez que hacia estas cosas con la Francesa, hacia lo mismo cuando quiso sacarle información a ella hace unos 4 años atrás, Guayana Francesa al ser la única cercana a un país Africano, parecía bien informada de los asuntos y comportamientos en el continente, pero el precio era hacer lo que ella quería. Hace 4 años, Sur le consiguió joyerías que se encontraban en el fondo del mar, Sur tardo 3 meses en conseguir alguna joya de las profundidades, y cuando lo encontró ella le hablo de lo que sabía.

No fue tanta información como el esperaba, pero si lo suficiente para ver las atroces acciones del anciano.

Y ahora se encuentra en la misma situación de hace 4 años, buscando información.

-No soy inmortal, cuantas veces tengo que repetirlo, mi cuerpo se deteriora cada que me muero, mujer- Sur le empezó a aventar el aire caliente a la cara de Guayana, pero ella luego levanta la mano del sureño para que dejara de hacerlo.

-Apuesto a que ni siquiera tienes algo valioso, me dejaras en las mismas como hace 4 años, niña malagradecida.

Guayana Francesa lo ve un momento y piensa en lo que le dirá al no creyente que tenía al lado, al pasar unos momentos de silencio, ella habla.

-A puesto que gracias a Egipto supiste algunas cosas del continente, pero al parecer, los poderes de todos los países de este lugar no son originalmente los suyos, algunas veces los poderes de alguno de esos países cambia, para dar ventajas a la hora de pelear, y no solo eso, también para hacerlos sumisos a él, hace que les sangre los ojos y tenga dolores extremos de cabeza.- Sur se quedó en silencio, realmente esto parecía tener un buen precio.

-¿Cómo lo averiguaste?-Guayana le sonríe y extiende la mano.

-Te estas tardando para darme lo que quiero, primito.-Sur volvió a la realidad al escucharla de nuevo con eso- Y quiero 15 de cada una, así que tienes que traerme 60 en total y me gustaría que fueran entre los rosas y rojos para que convine con mis ojos, gracias.-Sur se estaba agarrando la cabeza mientras se jalaba las greñas, pensando que hacer para conseguir eso, al final se resigna y la voltea a ver.

-Veré que puedo hacer…dame algo de tiempo…

-jijiji, excelente.

Así Sur salió del hotel y en cuento salió, volvió a sentir sus poderes fluir en su cuerpo, cerro su puño frente a él temblando, aun recordando los sucesos de la primera vez que entro aquí, al saber que el continente de este lugar tenia tanto poder y solo podía ayudar a Egipto para lograr el objetivo deseado, pero sabe que tardaran mucho más, pero el tiempo les dará la razón a ellos.

david- black coffee (probably a dark roast as it has a stronger (more bitter) taste), on hot days or days when he needs more caffeine he will get black cold brew (cold brew is coffee brewed with cold water instead of hot and uses a steeping process thats around 12-24 hours), will occasionally get an iced green tea in the afternoon

asher- shots of espresso (concentrated form of coffee) with a different kind of flavored syrup and milk combination every time

milo- iced black tea, maybe an americano (shots of espresso with water)

solaire clan

vincent- vanilla latte, hot or iced depending on day, but usually hot (a latte is shots of espresso with steamed milk)

sam- black coffee but a blonde roast (lighter/smoother flavor and has more caffeine than dark/medium roasts)

william- french press coffee (coffee brewed with hot water and steeps grounds for a few minutes, has a reputation of being ~fancy~)

gavin- iced passion tango tea with lemonade (passion tango tea is a fruity/florally tea), possibly a flat white (basically a latte but with less foam)

I perscribe you an iced Mocha with foam and whipped cream along with a caramel drizzle on icky weather days.

For easier coffee, I suggest a medium roast with vanilla, chocolate, caramel, OR an almond sweetener. One pack of Splenda if it's still too bitter and a splash of soy (sweeter to me, regular is fine) milk.

How I got there:

1. Low Caffeine intake, not a good idea to give you something with high levels as it'll mess you up

2. Night people tend to struggle more during the mornings suggesting a slightly strong dosage than light roast

3. You aren't actively tired which means you have a good and average amount of caffeine going with you meaning again, low caffeine options

4. You prefer sweet over the others which means the lighter the roast, the better, mid roast is a compromise

5. Chocolate leads pretty solidly to Mocha or a strong use of it as flavoring. It also indicates that you'd prefer a visibly darker coffee, Lattes are paler brown due to the milk, and Americanos are FULL of caffeine.

6 + 7: You cannot be trusted with hot coffee it's better for you this way 😔

8. CORRECT THEYRE DIFFERENT this indicated it didn't really matter but your okayness with smoothies and flavor profiles of milkshakes (you can ALWAYS tell what milk was used) means foam and whipped cream were a good idea to balance over sweetness as well as give better texture. Mochas can be grainy if not brewed long enough

9. This gave me no information I won't lie

10. Indicated a preference for sweetness again

|| WATER

Just good ol plain water is something I need with me at all times. I can't be without it, I get so thirsty so easily and a lot of food overwhelms me and I need to palate cleanse immediately. I go through my large bigger than my head water bottles multiple times a day, I refill water constantly at home and work bc I chug that shit. I'll rarely have it cold, but depending on the food I'm having I might ask for ice. I usually take it room temp or warm bc it's more manageable that way and drinking a lot of it won't be as difficult as if there's ice. I find it's also a good base to start with, I might have some other drink but I'll always have water, just in case. Of what? Idk, like the other drink I'm having is too sweet, or my mouth is dry, or whatever. Idk man, water is my extra spicy little friend.

|| COFFEE

I used to have like 7 cups a day, I used to practically have an IV in, I used to find it comforting and necessary to start my day and it never failed me. I still remember my first sip of coffee and how my mom laughed at me when I made a face. But then I got a little bit older and coffee started becoming this hit or miss thing. It might be just the ticket or it might give me slight vertigo from the caffeine. It might be exactly what I needed or it might give me a pounding headache. I still love coffee, so much like A LOT, but I've started to give less importance to espresso (I used to only drink Americanos, black, bc the more espresso the better) and started going into things with milk or syrup or sauces. Most days when I'm at work I don't have coffee unless I'm feeling extra *chef's kiss* Shitty™ and having less of it has made me see it more as a treat than a lifeline.

|| TEA

Top 3 are black, green, and chamomile. Chamomile was the first tea I remember having, and it's just a nice handwarmer type of drink for when I've got a sore throat or I need to feel warm inside. I take black teas to replace coffee, I take green tea when I need to cleanse my soul (i.e. I've eaten something extremely oily or sweet). I used to want to be one of those loose leaf tea drinkers with the fancy strainers but I just like teabag teas better and they're easier to bring to work and have on the go.

|| ICED TEA

I'll fuckin DROWN in this shit, it's my go-to drink order and it's just always good. You can't go wrong. Whether it's powdered or made from the sweat of gods it'll be good. But the homemade shit some restaurants do, I'll eat the pitcher if I could. It's also very adjustable, like if I find it too sweet you just plop some water in there and it's good. It's like salt to taste.

|| HOT CHOCOLATE

My ultimate comfort drink. I have it when I'm sick, when I have vertigo, when I'm feeling sad or depressed or angry or tired or hopeless. Specifically the Starbucks signature hot chocolate we have here, it's thick it's warm it's not too sweet it's got whipped cream it's great with soy milk it's perfect. When I'm too sick to eat anything I have this and it helps my appetite. I'll have it with pandesal and it's freakin perfect. If you see me with hot chocolate it means one of two things: I wan hot choccie (preventive measures, shit storm spotted and it is preemptive soothing) or I am devastated and at the end of my fuckin rope (sick / exhausted and sad, alarm was chucked out the window for being too loud and giving my sick noggin a headache).

Josué sucederá a Moisés

Hamilton Jordan, que fue jefe de gabinete del presidente Carter, relata como testigo presencial la rápida transición de estar en el centro de los acontecimientos mundiales históricos un día y dejar el cargo al día siguiente. El día antes de que el presidente dejara el cargo, él y su equipo estaban trabajando arduamente para liberar a los rehenes americanos en Irán. Al día siguiente, Carter y su personal volaron a Georgia, ya que Ronald Reagan iba a ser investido como el próximo presidente de los Estados Unidos.

Era un día lluvioso y, cuando el presidente Carter bajó del helicóptero y anunció la noticia de que los rehenes habían sido liberados, la multitud aplaudió y se puso a cantar. Pero todo acabó en un momento. Carter y su equipo se dirigieron a un granero situado detrás del edificio, donde el personal había montado un taller de carpintería para el presidente.

A Hamilton Jordan le llamó la atención lo extraño que resultaba que el hombre, que el día anterior había orquestado el rescate de los rehenes estadounidenses y liderado la nación, estuviera ahora contemplando taladros, sierras y destornilladores en un viejo granero de la Georgia rural.

Del mismo modo, en el pasaje de hoy, vemos a Moisés entregar el bastón de mando a su discípulo Josué, y este pasaje nos proporciona un punto clave sobre el cual reflexionar cuando se trata de la transición de liderazgo: los hijos de Dios deben confiar en él en la batalla y seguir a los líderes recién comisionados que mantendrán su palabra al frente y en el centro.

En los versículos 2 y 3, Moisés le dijo a su pueblo que confiara en Dios y en su presencia, que es permanente, y no en los líderes, que son temporales. Moisés recuerda al pueblo de Israel que Dios estaba con ellos y que los acompañaría cuando se enfrentaran a los pueblos de Canaán. Él les dice: “El Señor su Dios marchará al frente de ustedes” (versículo 3); “el Señor su Dios siempre los acompañará” (versículo 6), “El Señor mismo estará contigo” (versículo 8).

En tiempos de transición, es vital saber que Dios sigue con nosotros. Él es la constante inmutable en medio del cambio constante. Moisés quería mostrar al pueblo la promesa del versículo 6 de que Dios no los dejará ni los abandonará. En el versículo 8 repite que Dios no puede fallar ni fallará. Esta promesa de Dios es para ti hoy: “El Señor mismo marchará al frente de ti y estará contigo; nunca te dejará ni te abandonará. No temas ni te desanimes». Así que, confía en su carácter y en su fidelidad y nunca olvides, los líderes vendrán y se irán, pero la presencia de Dios estará contigo para siempre.
