Reading Robert Jordan's The Eye of The World and it's really adorable that Rand and Perrin when faced with girls flirting with them both think man my cool handsome suave good with girls bestest friend would know how to handle this exact situation like Rand is just like "man Perrin would know how to handle (girl flirting with him) this he'd make some off hand comment and soon she'd be laughing at his jokes instead of mooning around where her father could see" and earlier in the book like the tinker girls are dancing/flirting with Perrin and he's like super embarrassed and blushing and trying not to watch and be noticed and he's just thinking the whole time "man Rand would know how to handle this without embarrassing himself he's so cool and handsome and good with girls and would never embarrass himself like I am" like they're so sweet and adorable but also they both get super embarrassed and flustered by girls flirting with them and neither one knows what to do about it so I think it's hilarious and adorable they're just so confident their bestie could handle the same situation and we as the reader are just like oh buddy he could not trust me

Huh. What do we think Moiraine was up to the first time she met the Green Man?
It was almost certainly something she did in the ~20 years she was searching for the Dragon Reborn, since I don’t think she’d have had the opportunity as a novice, and she would have been hemmed in by the Aiel War for a lot of her Accepted time. Maybe something before the Tower, but why would she be anywhere near the Blight as a teen?
I keep trying to make some sort of ‘replacing the Tree of Life after Laman cuts it down to try to avert the Aiel War’ plot happen—the Green Man’s domain would be a logical spot to look for a replacement—but I don’t think that would work since Laman was very open about chopping it down for his throne. Maybe there was also a plot to kill him & hush everything up, bringing in the replacement tree before any diplomatic damage could be done?
