The violet void of the night has claimed you as a victim once again. It has invisible toothpicks for nails that pry open your eyelids for inspection, declaring you blind. 

"Are you scared yet?" It rasps.

You tremble, because you already know what it'll say next.

Nothing. It won't say a word.

Its silence prompts your subconscious to speak for itself, letting the undead scream. Once they're woken, there's no shutting them up. The voices don't come alone. Like a pretty Russian doll, there's always more. Hordes of images; so much that you have seen. They blot across your vision, so viscerally colourful against the dark of night. You're certain that you will die.

All of a sudden, the dark grows hands that hold onto yours - they're smooth, they're warm, and they … aren't to be trusted when you get like this. 

Your first instinct is to slap them away. Nothing is safe in the minefield of your mind.

"It's me," murmurs a low voice from beside you. "I'm right here."

"Kats- Katsuki?" 

You sound broken. It makes him grit his teeth, knowing what's happening to you. It doesn't happen often, but it happens often enough that he knows the signs. He knows how to help, but not how to fix, and it pains him. Quickly he illuminates the room with a light spark from one of his palms, the crackle emphasizing his presence.

"Yes," he continues to slowly reassure you. "Me. Katsuki. I'm right here."

He wishes he could promise it. He wishes that he could fight alongside you. Blow it all up, leaving those nocturnal demons charred and in pieces. He knows, that even by being here right now, it's not going to stop it on its own. He's reached a limit that he can't force himself through. 

He takes in a deep breath as he holds your hands a little tighter, and he continues. 

"Squeeze my hands back."

It takes several moments for you to manage the movement. These "attacks" often leave you fucking paralysed after all. But once you grip Katsuki's hands, you keep squeezing, tighter and tighter. 

He smiles a little at that, knowing that it's somewhat broken the trance. 

"Good. You can keep going." 

He doesn't mind it, no matter how hard it hurts, because he won't let you keep feeling so hurt, all alone. He still remembers seeing your first episode, the uselessness that weighed down his heart as he watched the person he loved whilst he did nothing, he couldn’t do anything. Never again. 

Never.

You hold onto him tighter over the next couple of minutes. Slowly he offers his arms, and eventually, you accept his embrace - he knows to not constrict you fully in his arms, but instead help you feel grounded. 

It takes time before the tempo of your breathing matches his, no longer shallow and rapid. Even in the dark, you can now find the fierce red of his eyes meeting yours. He knows to hold your gaze like this, to silently reassure you that you’re going to be OK. 

He whispers a couple of words, asking if you feel like you can stand. He doesn't let go of your hand as he gets you on your feet, motivating you to move with him as he ambles over to the side of your shared bedroom. 

It's nice, not to remain curled up beneath a duvet until you sweat buckets, and you can’t tell the difference between perspiration and tears. 

Katsuki notices the vacant look in your expression as you motionlessly stand next to him. He's got to be careful now, because that break of clarity is not always the ‘calm after the storm’. Sometimes it comes right back, striking fast like a viper. 

The click of your kettle sounds and an impending crescendo ensues as the water boils. The sound is like a pleasant white noise that fills the empty air, static that your brain can't be louder than. You could swear that you kept the kettle in the kitchen, not in here. Katsuki must have brought it, as well as the cup he grabs from seemingly nowhere, and the faint aroma of chamomile starts to arise in the room. 

Another click from the kettle, alerting you both that the water has finished boiling. As Katsuki pours the stream of water into the cup, the smell of chamomile grows stronger. You notice that your lungs seem to expand double the size from before, breathing in the calming scent. 

Bakugo lifts the steaming cup to you, watching as you take deep breaths. He knows you like the smell and taste of the tea. It's something so basic, so seemingly trivial, but it works. 

Out of all your five senses, he's the one that makes the most sense. Bakugo stands before you, untainted and real - more real than what was happening inside of your mind.

He stays with you like that for a while, waiting for the tea to cool down so you can drink it. In the meantime, he talks about a couple of things. He brings up some stupid banter from the conference room yesterday; still finding it stupid, but knowing that you'd find it funny. He mentions, on the side, that he wants to buy some poppy seeds for your garden. It sounds random, but each one of Katsuki's words is chosen with care to distract you from your thoughts.

All the while, he can see a spark start to come back in your eyes. They’re no longer as dull and dead as they were before. 

He's glad.

He’s not going to ask if you feel better.

He already knows.

Good day my friends! Today I want to share with you my very well-considered theory about Hordaks “defect”. This idea really makes sense to me which is why I use it canonically for my comics (especially the next one). So, if you are interested in how I spent my nights, not able to sleep because of this head-canon, GO AHEAD! ;)

While watching the show I noticed some inconsistencies according to what Hordak said about his defect and how Horde Prime (HP) dealt with it. But what exactly do we know about his defect? Well, he told Entrapta that he was a clone of Horde Prime, that he had been his “top general” but he a had a defect in his cloning. So Prime declared him worthless and sent him to die to the front lines.

When I rewatched that episode I was confused. Horde Prime had a top general? Horde Prime himself chose a “worthless” clone to be his top general??? A clone who’s not even worth to have a name?? Later we found out that Prime does not distinguish between his clones. None of them was special in any way. Their only reason for existence was to serve HP. The clones also don't have fixed positions or tasks. You can follow this thesis well following Hordak. One time he stands at Prime's side, one time he is a guard in the corridors, one time he is a sentry on Etheria, ... It doesn’t matter to Prime - They doesn’t matter.

My first explanation was that Hordak just made the “top general” story up. A story he was telling himself to feel less worthless. An attempt to ascribe value to himself and in the eyes of Prime. And to give meaning to what he was doing on Etheria. It seemed simple – to simple. So, I thought what was if Hordak told the truth? And now hold on my friends!

Hordak wasn’t like the other clones. He had something which made him special – his defect. And I am not talking about his physical health problems which we were able to see in the show (I`ll come back to this later). I am talking about Hordaks ability of independent thinking and slight resilience against HPs mind control. Sounds weird but pls hear me out!

After Hordak returned to HP, his story could have ended. Prime wiped his mind and Hordak should have been like all the other clones. He should have been unable to remember who he was and his complete past on Etheria. But his story wasn’t over. From that time Hordak showed us that Primes mind control does not really work on him. And I have proof!

1. Prime is barely able to see Hordaks thoughts

Primes wasn’t able to see his thoughts right after their reunion. He seemed to wonder and came closer to touch Hordaks face. Then it worked. Later Hordak started to question everything, he was thinking about Entrapta, the first ones writing, She-Ra, the rebellion and was able to keep all those thoughts from the all knowing- all seeing Horde Prime, even if he was standing right next to him. Even if Hordak shouldn’t been able to remember any of those things in the first place.

2. Hordak remembers things without even trying

Before Hordak noticed that he had forgotten something he already remembered things without trying. For example when he met Catra on the corridor and called her by her actual name and not little sister like all the others.

3. Only Hordak was able to fight the mindcontrol

In the show we see various characters being controlled by Prime. But no one was able to resist as much as Hordak did (and he sometimes didn’t even try). Catra was the first to fall victim to the control. she could only defend herself when the chip in her neck got damaged, and even after that she was barely able to. Later, many other protagonists became victims, without the capability to defend themselves. In the end, even Micah was under the control and would have killed his own daughter if Glimmer wasn’t stronger than him. The mind control was stronger than his fatherly love and the fact that he was a mighty sorcerer!

Fact is, even if the controlled characters stood in front of the person they loved the most, they weren’t able to fight the control BUT Hordak (who only exists to obey Primes orders) found the lil first ones writing and went all like “ENTRAPTA! MY TINY WIFE!” ... Well kind ofxD

He also refused Primes orders when he met Entrapta back on Etheria again. He recognized her and wouldn't hurt her. He let her run off! And don't forget when Prime wanted him to get disposed of her. Prime ordered him personally to get rid of her, and he refused! BETTER he turned against him.

And tbh I don’t think theres a difference between a clone under mind control or an controlled Etherian. After all, the clones also had their own personalities, as we were able to see from Wrong Hordak.

And if all that is true, it is possible that Hordak really was a top general of Prime. Maybe HP recognized that Hordak is “smarter” than the others. Maybe he has used Hordaks feature at the beginning and gave him the post as top general. Maybe in form of a consultant? But we know Prime and we know that he wanted to control everything. And maybe he started to question whether he really wanted to grant Hordak this worth. He created a very own “security gap” and so he got rid of Hordak. Of course he didn't tell Hordak about the real reason why he wanted to get rid of him. He just told him that he was a defect! Hordak wasn't aware of what his actual defect was (that he was special) until he started to experience his body betraying him.

Which leads us to his obvious health problems! But what are they if they are not the original defect? Hordaks body turned out to be very weak. He made himself an amour to hold himself together (btw I think that’s very impressive since he’s „just“ a clone, it shows how smart he was!) because his body was betraying him. Well I noticed sth Wrong Hordak said and showed us. THE NUTRIENT-RICH AMNIOTIC FLUID. Remember? When he cooked together with Glimmer he said “True nourishment comes from the favor of Horde Prime, also from nutrient-rich amniotic fluid.“ After that, he showed off an ampoule of this green liquid stuff that we've seen often in the show. Soooo since I´m sure that HP has better things to do than share his rare food with his clones I think they also ate things like ration bars BUT this green liquid seems to be most important to Horde Primes species… He himself is treated with it and even a “simple and worthless clone” like Wrong Hordak is equipped with it. It´s a property he carries with him, so it must be important. Maybe important for their state of health??

If that’s true… and I think it is… Hordak has had a massive lack of an indispensable substance his species requires! And that over years since he has been parted from Prime! No wonder he was doing that horrible! This would explain why his state of health got worse over time and why he no longer had green eyes. His own technologies helped him for a long time but soon failed. If Entrapta had not been there, to make him a new suit he probably would have died or sth.

But even Entrapta's technologies could not entirely help him. At least not enough. Not until he returned to Prime, because Prime had no trouble healing Hordak. It was Prime's technologies that Hordak needed, so why did he throw Hordak out when his defect was only a thing that HP could easily cure? So the physical defect was just a concomitant symptom of years of neglect.

In the end there’s one question left: Why did Prime accept Hordak into his ranks again if my theory is right? Why would he take Hordak back if he was able to resist the mind control. Easy. Horde Prime is an arrogant and selfish dumbass. He was sure that after all that happened he must be the one Hordak loved the most. He decided to watch and test Hordak and his faith (when he asked him to kill Entrapta). He wanted to see him suffer. And he knew if Hordak wasn’t faithful he could easily get rid of him. But he decided to play that sick game… and he lost because Hordak chose to break the chain of abuse.

A/n: I'm sorry if this is not as expected, I'm still getting to grips with writing headcannons 😅

The ranch had been in a state of disrepair when John first got there, walls thinning, paint peeling, buildings empty and soulless. He hadn't expected things to be as they were when he left, all those years ago, but the evident lack of care surprised him.

The house had been empty, which he eventually figured out was die to the fact his father had passed a good few years prior, and hadn't left anyone in charge of the ranch.

This meant that everything was as it was when he left, photographs hanging awkwardly on the walls, dusty furniture shoved out of the way.

Naturally, the rest of the ranch was also in pretty poor condition: the stables were practically overrun with weeds and foul smelling hay, one lone horse still nosing weakly at the empty water bucket on the floor. Taking pity on the animal, and feeling a need to help it, John took it out onto the field, which is where he first saw them.

Across from his father's ranch was another, smaller one, where horses and cattle grazed in the fields, a single car parked up beside the main house, which was in a much better condition than his own newfound home. In one of the fields, running around with a young foal, was who he assumed to be a ranchhand.

For a moment or so, he had stood and watched as the figure ran in circles with the youthful horse in tow, admiring their seemingly high spirits - he hadn't felt high-spirited in years.

After he'd helped the old horse from the stables out (cleaning out a stall, feeding it with feed he found in a storeroom), John had gone back to the house, almost forgetting the figure across the field, intending to head to sleep.

A couple of days passed after that, before he saw them again, though this time, they also saw him.

He'd started work on the house, having collected what he needed from a nearby town, and was sat on the roof of the main building as the sun glared down at him. Taking a brief pause from his work, he'd looked up and seen them in the field again, this time astride a larger horse.

They were racing around again, until the rider noticed they were being watched, at which point they slowed to a halt and looked around, quickly spotting John on the roof. From that distance, he couldn't tell what their expression was, but they raised a hand after a moment or so, waving up at him. Hesitantly, he had waved back.

Later that day, when he'd been sat on his father's old rocking chair on the veranda, taking another break, John had noticed someone coming up the road towards him. Standing out of instinct, John soon realised it was someone astride a horse, the rider carefully trotting up the drive, their face becoming clearer the nearer they came.

Still cautious of people, John had acted somewhat guarded as the person rode up to him, a broad smile on their work-weathered youthful face. In their hand, they carried a small box, which they cradled awkwardly on their thighs.

Approaching him, they'd tipped their hat, a battered Stetson, and greeted him, introducing themself as (Y/n), the owner of the ranch next to his. They'd spoken cheerfully, as if unaffected by the hardships of life, which they may well be. That's what John thought anyway, until they openly and happily told him about the passing of their parents, four years ago. The ranch had been left to them, leaving them in charge of the business.

Their first encounter had been somewhat awkward, but it didn't seem to bother (Y/n), and they left after ten minutes or so with a genial smile at him, stating that they'd be happy to help if he ever needed it. They also left behind the box, which John soon discovered was filled to the brim with cookies, a food he hadn't eaten for decades. Trying one, he soon rediscovered a love for them he didn't remember he had.

In the following weeks, John managed to fix up the house, getting it ready to live in properly, with some very brief help from his neighbour. They'd been round earlier in one week, dropping off another box of cookies, and had offered him access to their tools, which they brought round soon after.

After this, John felt it was only right that he invited them round for drinks as thanks, something that still made him somewhat uneasy. Somehow, he did feel reassured when they happily agreed and turned up the following Sunday, the two of them sitting in comfortable quiet on the veranda, sometimes talking, other times staying silent.

This became a regular occurrence.

Every week, (Y/n) would go to John's, or vice-versa, the latter soon learning to trust them and enjoy their company, finding himself in a better mood than he had been in in a long time. Their openness to talk or listen (even if he said very little) comforted him, allowing him to forget the nightmarish things going through his head near-daily.

After three months, (Y/n) had started coming round much more often, many times just appearing in the middle of the day to help out with whatever task needed doing, unafraid of doing dirty work. They later told him it was because they enjoyed his company far too much, and often actively sought it out: they made it clear that his quiet, brooding nature was an attractive quality about him that reassured them.

It didn't take long for them to become close, the two seemingly working at a different wavelength to the rest of the world, one that only existed between their small ranches.

They helped John procure his first horses, lending him one of their own to help build up the numbers. The differences between each ranch soon became blurred, the fence running through the middle of their respective fields eventually disappearing as they merged their ranches together, continuing with business individually with the help of the other's land.

John had long since accepted, within himself, that he would not find someone to spend the rest of his life with, not after Sarah. It was a sad truth, but one he had to live with.

That all changed when he suddenly realised he had fallen for his neighbour, the one person he now trusted and cared for more than anyone in the world.

He'd realised this when their face first started appearing in his nightmares, after a close accident that nearly resulted in catastrophe. (Y/n) had fallen from the roof of the stables, thankfully landing on a stack of stray hay which softened the impact, leaving them in severe amounts of pain for two days. Their face became part of the repertoire in his head, nightmares about their death soon plaguing him even further, as he finally acknowledged the newfound love he felt for them.

Because that's what it was: love.

It couldn't be anything less, he was too damaged to have heedless fancies, and his emotions were far too strong towards them. Since he'd moved in, (Y/n) had always been there, acting as a friend he never had, steadily working their way into his life, bettering it in ways he never would've thought another person could, supporting him through the episodes of flashbacks he was now prone to having. They had showed him love and care he hadnt experienced from anyone else. He valued them highly, prioritising them over himself, and he knew he was heavily attracted to them, but he told himself "no", don't ruin the friendship.

They didn't make it easy to repress the urges. No, they only managed to win him over more and more with their caring, loving attitude, though their youth managed to awaken some form of paternal instinct John never knew he had. He felt the need to protect them at all times, and he would do his best to uphold this, but he knew his feelings were getting too strong.

Somehow, he managed to miss all the loving glances, and little tells (Y/n) inadvertently laid down before him, the rancher have g developed similar feelings for him, though they'd never admit it to John, knowing how human interaction like that could be upsetting for him.

Eventually, it had taken a beautiful evening, with the sun spilling its last bloody rays on the dry landscape as the two sipped beer from bottles on the veranda, for them to finally admit to each other how they felt.

It just happened: one minute, they were leaning in to replace their bottles on the table, the next, their lips are just touching, breaths mingling as they struggle to do rain themselves. (Y/n) had finally leaned in, pressing their lips against his, pulling back almost as quickly as they moved in, a horrified, embarrassed expression on their face.

They'd apologised instantly, terrified that they'd screwed up their relationship, rambling and cursing until John had recovered and kissed them again, cupping their face in his hand as he pulled them closer. It had been too long for him, and the touch was just incredible, goosebumps rising along his spine as he poured all of his love and care into the kiss, pressing as close as possible.

Somehow, (Y/n) had ended up in his lap, head on his chest as he cradled them, relishing in the feeling of having a solid, supple body against his own after so long, and one that means him no harm, too. They knew where they both stood, and it kickstarted a close relationship.

(Y/n) moved in with him after their second foaling season together, where he'd seen their parental instincts kick in, particularly when they'd then worked to socialise the foals by playing with them. The memory would always stick with John: something about the carefree youth in their face as they ran around with the frolicking horses reminded him of the good in his life.

Life was good, everything was going mostly well.

Naturally, there were some days when he'd relapse, having particularly bad episodes that would be harrowing on both him and (Y/n), though they were always there to help him through it. Their soft words of love and worry would easily permeate the cloud of despair, and had break down in their arms, enjoying the sensation of being held.

They often held each other. Even if it was just a quick hug, or an embrace from behind as one pressed up against the other's back, touch became a large factor in their relationship - John relished it after the more callous touch he had grown used to.

Kisses, too, became a large way of showing their affection. Little ones here and there between jobs, deep passionate kisses up against the wall of the house, or sloppy making out on the shared seat on the veranda, it all counted for their love, and they thoroughly enjoyed partaking in them.

(Y/n) was always there, even when Gabrielle and Maria joined them. They were there when Gabrielle died, and they were there to avenge her death, choosing to go out with the man they loved.

Both of them liked to cook, even if John's meals were a little...plain...so they often spent hours in the kitchen with each other, fooling around with whatever they could, John's face alight with more smiles and grins than he thinks it's ever been.

They went riding together, finding solace in each other's company on their many trails through their land, the horses often coming home tired after so long of being out.

Sometimes, John got self-conscious about his age in comparison with their's, thinking he is too old for them. Everytime this happened, (Y/n) would reassure him that they love him for who he is and doesn't care if he's not as young as he used to be, it never would matter.

Marriage was never really a thing they considered. John never had much time for the state anymore, so why get them involved in their relationship?

They considered themselves married, and wore rings to show it, but it was never a legal affair. Nevertheless, the union had always been a happy one, and John could honestly say that he had been wrong about himself: he had found love.

wake up

- hearing the “1, 2, 3″ at the start of the episode gives me more serotonin than my antidepressants ever will

- julie’s slippers...that’s it...that’s the thought

- that dry ass pasta the molina’s are eating for dinner??? someone needs to give my man ray some cooking tips or a cookbook... something

-the looks the boys give julie when she says it was an OLD cd she found. as if they could be old??

-the entire julie and luke kitchen scene i mean there are no words to describe how much i am in love with scene. the banter, the flirting, luke giving this girl he literally just met an actual PIECE OF HIS SOUL so she can get music back into her life. not a single time have i watched that scene and not felt my heart literally grow cause of how cute they are. 

-the entire scene when julie is singing wake up. that scene is what made me literally CRAVE watching the other episodes. like of course i was going to watch them cause i wasn’t gonna just stop watching a show after one episode, and yes the show was good already but seeing the lighting and her voice, and just everything about the scene,,,,*chef’s kiss*

- going back to that line i could say so much about it but....for someone who’s life was literally MUSIC for the 17 years he was alive, and after finding out he could play music again even though he was dead and saying it made him feel alive, he would give that up- he would give up playing his guitar, playing in a band with his friends, give up writing and singing music- if he wasn’t doing that with julie. that’s more than saying i love you,,,that’s literally like saying i’d give up my ENTIRE LIFE and what i love to do if i dont get to do it with you

"Golden Time" & "Last Call" Meta

You know the deal: Destiel and Saileen positive, so don’t like don’t read.

Hi! So, long story short, the two weeks after “Golden Time” I had so much homework I was sleeping an average of, like, 3 hours a day, didn’t have time to write meta. And when I finally had time, “Last Call” was airing the next day, so I kinda gave up and decided not to do a meta on 15x06. BUT BOY, last chapter just wrapped everything I wanted to say about the previous chapter, so I decided I´m just gonna mix both here.

I know it sound crazy, but trust me, I kinda have a point here.

First, we got back Eileen. I’m ecstatic about that. We needed the comeback of a female character and I’m so glad that is my BAMF girl. I love her. Now, you know my theories for the writers choosing Eileen as the character to bring back from the dead, if not they are here. But this time I became overwhelmed with fear that I didn’t knew why she was brought back inside the story, because this is writing inside of writing.

Like, we know that Chuck is controlling the story again (I´ll deepen in the ambiguity of how in charge he is in a minute) to some degree. Chuck decided to make Eileen appear, he decided to give Sam a half-done ritual he could use to bring her back. And that scares me, because Sam being happy (As he is with Eileen being domestic and adorable, my heart can´t handle them being this cute istg) isn’t what he wants for the endgame. So why bring her back at all?

And then, there is the fact that Chuck was… suspiciously absent in these two episodes. I mean, in “Atomic Monsters” we saw Chuck getting back into writing. In “Proverbs 17:3” we had Lilith directly address Chuck plan to some degree, for she was part of it. The fact that both MOTW were so… plain, and that fit so well with Becky´s complaining, we are being told that this is Chuck writing, everything is.

But then we have 15x06 and 15x07 and… nothing? I mean, yes, they are looking for them or whatever, but I feel like we lost this feeling of impending doom and helplessness that Chuck was making every move. Why?

It’s because Chuck isn’t as shitty writer as the last chapters were. I mean, Supernatural has mistakes and a little of oocness here and there, but it’s a good story, and it is Chuck’s. He can write things that doesn´t feel forced or scripted, he just was shaking the remains of that writer’s block. I think these two episodes were still written totally by him. After I reached that conclusion, everything made sense again.

Going back to the end of “Proverbs 17:3” we have a pretty fucked up situation. Dean is totally hopeless and broken, Sam is overwhelmed by everyone they have lost, from Jess to Rowena, and Cas is AWOL. That… isn´t a good place for main characters to be if you wanna write an epic ending, specially one as dramatic as the one Chuck wants. It’s like kicking someone who is already knocked out. So what did Chuck do?

He got everyone back in the game.

Dean gave up? Remind him of why he fights. Righter of wrongs. No matter who many years passed, Dean is the Righteous Man. “Why do you care so much, Dean?” “Because someone has to.” / “Then you fix it. You don´t walk away, you fight for it.” / “You really want to do this?” “No I don´t, but I kill monsters.”

We saw someone who was like Dean, but took another path, became a monster. Dean isn´t like that. He doesn’t walk away. And you got him back on the game.

Sam is overwhelmed with grief of the people the have lost in the last 15 years? Then let´s bring back someone. Let´s give him hope he can win, that not everyone they come across is damned to die. And what says hope as a pure, innocent love? Chuck knows his tropes.

And just like that, he's back on the game.

Castiel… this is has being bothering me for days, not gonna lie to you. It's clear that Cas has no place in Chuck’s ending, He hasn't appear in Sam’s visions, his doll wasn’t in the desk where Chuck was writing, and the “No one even mentions Cas” line was supposed to bring out attention to that very fact.

Then why bring him back to the game? I know that we have this collective theory as a fandom right now, where Cas is the key to freewill, and that the reason Chuck doesn´t want him there is because he keeps going out of script. But there has to be more to Chuck feelings on Cas because, quoting him, “I´ve rebuild Castiel more times that I can count.”

If he truly thought that Cas was a danger to his story, he would have stayed dead. We know that Chuck doesn’t control 100% of the actions, because if he did Dean would have killed Jack, and Sam wouldn´t have shot him. Is he the reason Cas just comes and goes? Why hasn´t he killed him as he has killed literally everyone else? Does Cas is so out of his control he can´t kill him in the story? Then why not snap him like he did with Jack? To which extent he wrote things? Was he being truthful in his surprise back in s4 with his “You´re not supposed here. You're not in this story” and Cas´ subsequent “Yeah, well... We´re making it up as we go”?

I´m with Dean in this, it is driving me crazy not knowing what´s God and what isn´t.

But my point here was that this, at least, is Chuck's doing. The fact that his determination comes at the same time that Dean and Sam´s is too perfect for it to be a coincidence.

Cas honestly came back out of spite. I mean, he did just lost friends, and his son, and his ex-boybest friend, and his other best friend because he is brother of the guy he just broke up with… and everything, just so you tell him God is still out there messing with their lives.

I would be kinda worried if he wasn´t angry.

And now he just goes to the bunker, and without even saying hi to Sam (I think he only greeted Eileen) he just throws this plan that he knows is dangerous for Sam and it´s like “okay let´s do it”. And okay, obviously Sam would be on board, he trusts Cas, but not even discussing the risk? What happened with “Nothing is worth losing you”?

But then it hit me, that was also Chuck. He needed to go quickly, make all of this before Dean came back. Go straight to the point.

He is setting himself up as the big baddie. He could have gone under the radar and work from the shadows, but he sent Lilith so they knew he was back. And know he set the bait and they think they have a chance to beat him. Now he can start working towards his end.

And that could be another reason to bring Cas back, right? Yes, as a device plot for Sam to get into Chuck´s head, but also as a tool for emotional instability, for both brothers yes, but specially for Dean.

He knows how broken and alcoholic and reckless and suicidal Dean gets when Cas dies. He wrote s7 and s13. An easy way to break him without killing Sam, for he needs both brothers for the Gran Finale.

Or if he decides to go for the Demon!Dean path, then he needs to kill Cas before he kills Sam because the Abel-Cain-Colette/Sam-Dean-Cas parallel. Or maybe have Demon Blood!Sam kill him so Dean gets the resolve to kill him. Basically, a device for angst.

Same, I suppose, as he plans to do with Eileen. Kill her in the right moment.

But in Castiel´s case, I do still think Chuck wants to kill him before he can mess his plan, so I feel his death a lot more imminent. Or I think it would be better to say that I do expect him to die at all, after all we still have all this Empty plot unresolved. Eileen is on Chuck´s plan, but I don´t think she will die. After all, is practically a confirmed fact that the end of Supernatural is a happy one. Maybe not he happiest, but happy, and poor girl being brought back and killed again in the same season is too much.

Next chapter we are getting Adam/Micheal back and… I don´t know what to do with that information. I know I just said that everything until now is Chuck´s script, but I do think it is a posibility that he just had forgotten about Adam/Micheal (I’m sorry but I mean, the “you let me rot in hell” is too personal to be Micheal, but I don´t see how Adam could possibly still be a functional human, so I don´t even know who are we gonna see). And this Micheal didn´t did the whole Apocalypse thing with God no coming back, so I´m not sure that he will be angrier at Him that at the Winchesters. I don´t know what´s gonna happen.

Obviously, there will be some ground to the midseason finale of a plan to beat Chuck that won´t work and make us all be at the edge of our sits in despair in March or something, but more precisely? I don´t know. I know there are some theory about Cas dying, and that Dean´s prayers in 15x09 will wake him in the Empty, and I like it, but I don´t think there is enough evidence to support it. So, I think the only thing we have left is wait and see.

I should have written this earlier when Witcher Netflix was more fresh in my mind (I haven't done a proper rewatch yet) but I still wanted to write a post about some thoughts I had (that I actually remember lol) and stuff I want in the next season. It's like 99% about Geralt/Yen/Ciri bc I have three brain cells and they're dedicated to them.

The spoiler-free stuff: I definitely loved it! There's some scenes in the book that I would have loved to have seen on screen that I'll mention later, but I really liked it for the most part. My main issue is the pacing, but I understand them trying to fit so much into only 8 episodes -- I hope next season will have at least 10 or even 12 eps to fully flesh out the storylines. There were times where I wondered how easy it was to follow if you didn't know the books, and it seems that it's kinda been mixed? But all-in-all people are loving it, there's lots of memes and new content, and I'm happy about that.

Yennefer's backstory and Anya Chalotra were the highlights for me, and I loved Tissaia as well. By "I haven't done a proper rewatch" I mean that I've only rewatched the first ep (Renfri ❤️) and the parts with Geralt/Yennefer lmao. I'll prob watch it all again later on. Now to the spoilery stuff (includes some refs to the books):

Some specific stuff I liked:

Geralt finally being able to sleep in the Last Wish episode and then him saying in the next ep that before he met Yen, "nights were restless" so she/the thought of her helps him sleep now? lol

Yen touching Geralt's face after he tells her she's important to him as if she can't believe she's important to someone right then and needs to make sure he's real or that she's not dreaming 😭

Téa and Véa and how they actually talked instead of not really communicating well themselves in the books

Yen's elven blood being emphasized and it being a thing that allows her to be naturally inclined towards magic…idek I'm just into that lmao

Geralt "hm"-ing all the time was excellent and is, unfortunately, v relatable

I wasn't gonna say this but since I posted about his casting on my blog previously…I'm still not a fan of Henry but I cannot deny his knowledge and dedication to Geralt and the Witcher lore, and I think he portrayed Geralt very well to the point where I don’t think I imagine anyone else playing the role now? I really mean this bc before I refused to reblog/tweet anything with him in it bc I’m petty LMAO

This is obvious but Toss a Coin to Your Witcher is the song of the year and Her Sweet Kiss is also good. @ netflix soundtrack WHEN

Some stuff I have issues with:

Istredd getting an expanded storyline is fine with me (and will probably set up better angst) but I wish he didn't do the thing Geralt does in Thanedd where he thinks about things Yen likes…I guess that's minor by itself, but Geralt thinking about the house in Thanedd is so important and I hope at least they keep that for the future. Also making the imaginary sorcerers Yennefer conjured up clap like in Thanedd is like…ok I'll allow it but Thanedd better be Extra Good bc I remember reading the part where they're in bed again when I wanted to make myself upset lmao

I wish we got the line when Geralt first called Yennefer "Yen" because "nobody's ever called me that. Say it again" is SO POWERFUL and I think that would have helped set up Geralt/Yen better in the series. Anya did describe the relationship as "animalistic and full of lust" and honestly that's fair but I also want people to understand why tf I'm smiling when we watch them fuck after the last wish instead of being like "ok but where did this come from" lmao. Yeah they’re horny af but pls!!!

Tbh I just want more Angst...like in the Bounds of Reason ep, the "you left" thing and Geralt asking for forgiveness was so short and would have been better if they just…expanded on it a little more…idek this is where I really wished they had an extra episode or two just to elaborate :/

The lack of baby dragon is so sad tbh. I liked that they did without Yen getting her titties exposed and threatened with rape obviously but the baby dragon running over to Yen tho!!

Ciri is my sweet child whom I love dearly and I understand her storyline but I wasn't super into her parts in a way? It makes sense since she's running and hiding and I felt her panic and loneliness and all that, but I think this could have only been fixed if they did Brokilon like in the books. I guess they'd have to cut down on Calanthe maybe?

As for the "Who is Yennefer?" ending:

I know many book readers weren't super satisfied with this, since ofc this is the famous "you're something more" scene, but I think it's fine within the context of the show because of the way Brokilon was handled (obviously I would have liked to see Geralt + Ciri interactions so we could have gotten “something more” though). It also sets up a connection between Yen + Ciri early on -- not really a strong one, but a connection nonetheless. And ofc it makes sense to people who don't know the books, and this is an adaptation after all.

I wish it wasn't as abrupt though? The fact that Ciri's first words to Geralt were about Yennefer is kind of a weird, but I guess that Ciri's vision was so vivid she couldn't help it maybe? And her mentioning Yennefer after Geralt talked about being linked by destiny enforces that it's all three of them linked.

I think this ending line allows for flashbacks via communication? Like if Geralt were to tell Ciri about Yen (and Yen telling Ciri about Geralt), they could elaborate on the relationship between Geralt/Yennefer that way and maybe have a flashback episode or at least a few scenes. I don’t really imagine Geralt saying too much about Yen but still?

So that takes us to things I want in the next season (not exhaustive; I need to do a BoE re-read):

And obviously before that, Triss staying at Kaer Morhen for a while…I wouldn't mind if they completely wrote out any attraction she had to Geralt ofc, but Ciri being sure that Triss is "not Geralt's woman" is also good

Imagine Ciri reading Yennefer's mind and accidentally seeing her thoughts about Geralt…not that she'd even need to though, as long as Yen tells Ciri that Geralt's hands are very gentle is enough lmao. But I'd love the "what is there between you and Geralt" line! In general, I really want Yen/Geralt to be like, the most obvious thing to the audience lol.

Yen telling Ciri that she's lucky bc Ciri knows that Geralt will come back for her and Yen isn't sure that Geralt would do the same for her 😭

Since they're doing the story with Nivellen, I'm hoping for other short stories to be adapted too. My favourite is A Shard of Ice, and I read that it's Henry's favourite too so I'm optimistic about it being included somehow. And since Istredd has a bigger role, it could work? ALSO WE NEED EVERYONE TO KNOW ABOUT THE UNICORN. PLEASE

I was tagged by @wynafryd-manderly​ for this, thank you so much! You have no idea what you’ve brought upon us all, because boy do I love talking about my favourite tv shows.

1. The Witcher 2. The Umbrella Academy 3. Game of Thrones 4. Misfits 5. Criminal Minds

Who is your favorite character in 2? I know it’s the super obvious answer, but Klaus of course. I mean, Robert Sheehan was the reason the show got on my radar before it came out, and boy did he not dissapoint, and I can’t wait to see how they’ll develop his character in season 2 (trailer pls netflix). Though, I have read the comics in the mean time, and suprisingly Allison is my favourite in that version.

Who is your least favorite character in 1? Well, there’s only been one season so far, and I know from playing the games she gets more and more interesting and gets more stuff to do as the story goes, but for now I have to say Ciri. But I already know she’s gonna be a blast next season, trainig at Kaer Morhen, and I am extremely looking forward to seeing her dynamic with Geralt play out.

What is your favorite episode of 4? Misfits only has 13 episodes (I like to pretend only season 1 & 2 exist) and they’re all golden, but I have to go with season 2 episode 1, aka the one with the döppelganger plotline. Once again, they’re all great, but this is the one I come back two when I just want to watch an episode real quick (misfits is kind of my comfort show). Shout out though to episode 3 of season 2, aka the one where they made the fandom’s favourite slash ship canon for an episode with the nathan-gets-a-magical-tattoo-which-makes-him-hopelessly-and-sluttily-fall-in-love-with-simon storyline

What is your favorite season of 5? season 2, definitely. The show really got its footing here after season 1, has the best roster of agents (Reid, Morgan, Hotch, Rossi, Emily, JJ and Garcia) and has the angstiest, whumpiest, storyline in the history of crime procedural shows with Reid’s kidnapping and his subsequent Dilaudid addiction. Oh, how I miss the times when Criminal Minds was still great.

Who is your favorite couple in 3? Robb and Theon till I die. One of those ships that I didn’t necessarily need to be canon in the story itself (there wasn’t really any room) but is great for AU and fix-it fic. Love me a modern Throbb AU with some background past Thramsay for a dash of angst

Who is your favorite couple in 2? Let’s be wholesome and say Klaus and Dave, because we need more Klaus and Dave, but I kind of like Kliego? I know it’s not entirely ethically responsible, but remember kids, liking a ship doesn’t mean you endorse it in real life and if Allison and Luther get to be in a semi-incestious relationship, so can Klaus and Diego

What is your favorite episode of 1? Bottled Appetites, because the gang’s all together for the first time, and lots of great Jaskier content

What is your favorite episode of 5? Oh god, there’s like, more than 300 episodes. But I have to say 2x15 Revelations, because angst (but pretty much every Reid centric episode is my favourite)

What is your favorite season of 2? Well.. there’s only one so far sooo

How long have you watched 1? Once again, only one season out so far, but I jumped on the bandwagon pretty early, about 2 days after it came out I binged the entire first season in one evening because I’m a big fan of Witcher 3

How did you become interested in 3? There really was no escaping game of thrones in our cultural landscape ever since it came out, but when I first watched it around season 1 I fell asleep during a political mumbo-jumbo scene and stopped watching after that. But then my dad and my sister were binging season 3 in the living room one day and I caught some of Theon’s scenes and I was like... okay let’s give this another shot

Who is your favorite actor in 4? I started watching Misfits because I was making my way through Iwan Rheon’s filmography after seeing him on game of thrones but let’s be real, it’s Robert Sheehan.

Which do you prefer, 1, 2, or 5? I’m all on board the Witcher train right now, but Criminal Minds will always have a special place in my heart as my first real fandom

Which show have you seen more episodes of, 1 or 3: Not really a fair comparison, so Game of Thones by default

If you could be anyone from 4, who would you be? Nathan Young, purely for his power of immortality because I aaaam irrationally scared of dying

Would a crossover between 3 and 4 work? Not a crossover per se, but I still have a very, very detailed Game of Thrones Misfits AU that I’m really proud of outlined in my notes that I never got around to writing. I might get around to posting a lil pitch on here soon.

Pair two characters in 1 who would make an unlikely but strangely okay couple? I’m cheating by using a character that hasn’t showed up in the show yet, but boy do I love the rarepair of Jaskier and Lambert.

Overall, which show has the better storyline, 3 or 5? Not a really fair comparison because criminal minds barely has an overall storyline, and ever since season 6 with the switch of show runners the storylines they did have were kind of crap, but Game of Thrones nose-dived around season 5, so I guess by default I’ll have to give it to GOT only on the grounds that it actually has an overall storyline

Which has better theme music, 2 or 4? Ooooh now this is difficult. Both don’t have an awful lot of original music, but what they have is great and unique, and both have an excellent selection of perfectly picked existing songs for their main soundtrack. They both introduced me to a lot of great songs that I never would have come across otherwise, but I’ll give it to Misfits because I can immediatly recall Misfits’ main theme right now but can’t remember any of Umbrella Academy’s OG music (though I do know I really love that original piece from the season finale
