Turtleduck Prince

For Jinko, my ship prompt generator gave me kiss, fairy tale, and birds. I don't know what type of fairy tales exist in the AtLA universe. Something to think about. The Frog Prince is a western story - I just thought it would be cute.

Feels good to go revisit old patterns. I haven't actually made a turtle duck in over a year. I'm currently out of the size of eyes I usually use (12mm), so I decided to see what it would look like with even smaller eyes (8mm). Happy to report that it's still just as cute.

This is a commission I did a few weeks ago for the one, the only, Michaela Murphy, voice actress for Toph Beifong!

Long story short, I was tabling at a Sci-Fi Valley Con in PA, she was a celebrity guest, multiple people got turtleducks they bought from me signed by her to the point that she came LOOKING FOR ME, found me, and commissioned these hybrid animals. I swapped out one of the prompts that I couldn't think of anything for and used it as a free day to do something I wanted to do. I am firmly on the side of Israel in the Sukkot War, just as I was firmly on the side of America on 9/11. For the exact same reason. There is no justifying what Hamas is doing, and anyone who tries is just as bad as Hitler was. Hamas will settle for nothing less than the complete and total Final Solution. They want genocide. And they won't stop at Israel's borders. They won't stop until every Jew in the world is dead. If you support Hamas, you might as well go open Auschwitz back up.

Day 22: Scratchy

Day 24: Shallow

Slowly working on the tarrasque pattern writeup. The instructions for the crochet pieces is the easy part, but the assemble instructions always take forever. Got to make sure anyone can understand how far up the body the arms go, or where specifically to put the eyes. Soooooo many photos and steps involved.

Excited to get this one out to people though, since its so freaking cute!!!!!

I'm also going to pre-make a few turtle ducks and trinkets in the coming weeks and will be putting them up in my Etsy shop for those who want to get a start on their holiday shopping, but don't really want to crochet their own.
