This will be a controversial statement. Me personally, i dont really honestly care? About what he said? It was eight years ago and he hasnt repeated the actions so i dont honestly and truly care what he did eight years ago, he was 19 then hes like 26 now theres honestly and truly a BIG maturity distance between 19 and 26, but also it was. Eight years ago? Thats all i have to say on that?

I Also dont really care for how it was brought to light, from what ive heard from pt speakers the expose was done by someone whos publicly anti towards the Brazilian CCs and ive heard they've dug up some dumb things about pac that werent "hot" enough to get trending i guess and definitely werent condemnable enough to get him cancelled, so it's honestly and truly in my heart something i see as being done in bad faith.

Alongside this, ive seen translation screenshots from one of the "victims" (not sure her stance on being called this so its in quotes) stating she does NOT want to be aligned with these allegations and has changed her username and profile picture because she honestly doesnt wanna be involved and doesnt want it being spread around, this is something else i view as bad faith and if anyone was affected by this then its the best thing to do as they wish, this not only affects the person being called out but also their victim negatively, especially if the victims profile is easily attached to their real life and especially when the victim is a female victim of assault or rape or anything like that, i hate to say it but as an afab person ive seen it firsthand that thats honestly the culture surrounding assault victims, and most people dont want that being brought up or put out in the public. Im a victim myself - people view you differently, it affects platonic and romantic relationships, it affects jobs, you are actively hurting the victim by spreading this if they dont want you to do so and arent prepared for that to be spread around.

From what ive seen, some people are condemning Forever for getting a lawyer - i dont view this as him being automatically guilty. I view this as him getting a lawyer because this person on twitter has been actively harassing not just him but all the brazilian CCs on the QSMP. This is harassment, the case against them will hold up in court and Forever has said he will speak about this more when everything is said and done

Alongside this, i will say im unhappy with Forever specifically for his statement on the situation. It wasnt handled the way we wouldve liked it, but it also wasnt handled via ukelele, it wasnt handled the worst way it could've been. Ive heard pt speakers say it was kind of formal, there was some slang in there but overall i've read the translated statement and to me it sounds more like a legal statement than anything - he mentioned having a lawyer, chances are the lawyer helped him write it. To me it doesnt sound like anything he'd fully say which is why i was so put off by it at first but this makes more sense to me honestly, i dont know if anyone would agree with this.

TL;DR

All in all, i think its a shitty situation but nothing to condemn Forever over. I ask people be thoughtful regarding the girl affected, and dont spread shit around with her name or profile attached to it unless she states otherwise. It was handled badly on Forever's end and blew up WAY too fast on twitter.

I've generally seen people be well behaved on here, ive seen some strong statements but otherwise i like to think we're better than twitter.

This probably wont be my last post on this as we get more on the situation over the next couple days, but this is my main thoughts right now. I'm still choosing to remain neutral, but more mixed than anything.

joey was born in manhattan, ny. they come from a very prolific family: their mother is a wallstreet beast/lawyer. their father comes from old money and was one of columbia’s most remarkable professors

johanna is the sixth in line, has five siblings older than them and a younger sister, elizabeth. however, from a very young age, it was a proven fact that joey was the misfit of the family. they abhorred everything their family stood for but was forced into keeping the pretence of a perfect american family by their mother, their siblings and the rest of the ues. they created a version of johanna that fit their narrative and being a people pleaser, all johanna could do was play the part.

for years, jo led a double life. by day, the perfect socialité her extremely conservative and wealthy family pegged her as. by night, johanna could be the person she always wanted to be. no attachment to a surname, a family or the constant feeling of being observed by everyone around them. the partying and substances began when joey was 13. they got into some trouble but of course, it was always thrown under the rug thanks to their mother’s connections. their relationship with their mother deteriorated even more during this time to an alarming, toxic point.

they were engaged, once. the couple met throughout joe’s family on her 16th birthday and started dating shortly after. jo was never truly in love but the fear of being alone mixed with some brain washing from him and jo’s family made her accept his proposal two years after meeting. the relationship turned toxic too and it culminated with jo walking away after a particular incident that made them question everything they knew.

after that particular bad relationship, jo stood up to their abusive family (mostly their mother and a few of their siblings) and was disowned. their father tried to make jo come to their senses but since jo was already of legal age, they simply left manhattan and their family behind, moved to brooklyn and started working as a bartender and dj. their love and obsession with music truly began there. they had always loved music, but it solidified when jo was finally able to find herself.

they spent years in brooklyn, earning money to make their own music production company and once they did, nothing could stop jo. they managed to produce their first album and cowrite some songs for a new indie artist who blew up quickly, which launched both to fame.

jo won all types of awards for their first production title and came many after that one, allowing them to work with great musicians they admired and become a big name in the music industry before turning 30.

before jo’s 26th birthday, news about the multimillionaire businessman turned college professor and father of seven dying of an extremely rare illness broke out, making jo break down. their father was one of the only few people they still had some contact with, one of the few people in their family who had always accepted jo for who they were.

unable to produce or even be in new york, jo decided to chance the scenery and moved to bridgeport after talking it through with some friends. they took all the saved money they had (which was a lot, being the frugal gal they were) and opened a record store and bought a home in the neighbourhood that spoke the most to them, saved the rest of their money back.

jo has been working in the sea shanty every since. they have a roomate and although they still party, their life is more balanced in bridgeport than it could ever be in new york.

they haven’t produce much since moving to town. however, they write and make songs for themselves whenever inspiration strikes.

nacimiento de cypress no fue planeado, sus padres, ambos músicos y hippies, vivían por y para ellos, cotidianidad siendo un completo caos, vidas desorganizadas en donde armar una familia no estaba en los planes. noticia no cayó como quisieran pero luego de varias dudas y de cuestionárselo todo, decidieron tener a la pequeña.

continuaron con su trabajo vendiendo artesanías que ellos mismos creaban y debido a la nueva integrante de la familia decidieron comprar una casa rodante donde cypress creció. no tenía su propia habitación, tampoco transitó una infancia normal. iba al colegio y le era difícil explicarle su modo de vida a sus demás compañeros, recibió miradas extrañas y se sintió frustrada durante mucho tiempo. a su vez, padre y madre seguían en su propio mundo, dándole amor y atención solo de vez en cuando, dejándola a su suerte la mayoría de las veces. salían de fiestas y a cantar en bares mientras la niña continuaba en su casa, sola, deseando poder compartir momentos con quienes le dieron la vida, añorando un poco de normalidad. 

TW DROGAS. a su vez, ambos progenitores se drogaban e incluso echaban a cypress cuando hacían reuniones en su “hogar” con otra gente, teniendo la misma que pasar horas interminables bajo la fría noche, afuera, tocando su ukelele. así aprendió que era muy buena con los instrumentos y lo que antes eran “canciones” sin mucho sentido comenzaron a ser hermosas melodías, en las mismas podía desahogarse y sentirse mejor. 

con el paso del tiempo aprendió a no tomarse personal ni darle importancia a quienes la señalan con el dedo y comprendió que debía esforzarse para escribir su propio destino. consiguió un trabajo de mesera para poder pagarse su independencia y sobre todo, las clases de piano, teclado y guitarra acustica, volcándose de lleno en perseguir sus sueños lejos de sus padres. 

a pesar que todavía le duele no haber recibido el apoyo de ellos y haber tenido que luchar siempre sola, no los resiente. es consciente de que tiene muchas cosas que heredó de ambos, como su libertad y su tendencia a tomar malas decisiones, por ejemplo con sustancias ilícitas y situaciones arriesgadas. al no haber tenido nadie que la guiara por un buen camino llega a copiar malos modelos de su familia y a ser alguien realmente caótica.

- músico: toca la guitarra, el piano y el teclado. también canta pero en secreto, no queriendo toda la atención, la presión y los problemas que recibes siendo vocalista, teniendo miedo de lanzarse por ese camino. 

RELACIÓN CON DON: 

cuando trabajaba como camarera y por fin pudo comprarse su propia guitarra acústica utilizó los tiempos que tenía libres para tocar en el metro por algunas monedas. allí consiguió un trabajo gracias a un reconocido empresario y comenzó a tocar el piano por las noches en un restaurante de lujo. en una de esas veladas, hace tan solo tres años, conoció a don, quien quedó fascinado con su talento natural y la pasión con la cual tocaba las teclas. él fue quien le ofreció firmar un contrato con westbound records, sacarla de aquella vida de puro esfuerzo y sufrimiento para convertirla en una estrella. al principio cypress lo dudó, pensando que era demasiado bueno para ser cierto, pero finalmente aceptó, tanto trabajar con él como la ayuda económica que le brindó y por la cual siempre le estará agradecida.

OPINIÓN DE WESTBOUND: en pasado y presente, recuerda que esto será el parteaguas para la trama.

de pasar a no tener absolutamente nada lo tuvo todo en westbound. casi parecía irreal: por fin podría dedicarse a lo que quería. nunca tuvo nada malo para decir, en su mente westbound records tuvo éxito pura y exclusivamente gracias a don crowlley, con su gran espíritu, su visión y buen ojo para cazar talentos, que la haya considerado y que haya visto algo especial en ella le devolvió la esperanza. siempre detestó la industria en general, teniendo sus quejas y sus disconformidades, pero con él nunca lo sintió, notándolo genuino y buena persona.

actualmente no piensa igual, desde el fallecimiento de don nada volvió a ser lo mismo, ve a los directivos como pirañas que solo se interesan por el dinero y no por sus artistas. detesta la competitividad que se ha generado y aunque intenta no participar de conflictos para no perder su lugar allí cada vez le cuesta más.
