The lights had been flickering and threatening to go off for the past hour as the loud and low rolling of thunder kept on through the night. The fuzz of electricity in the air and the way the rain battered hard on the windows was making it difficult for Matt to tune it all out and listen to the usual sounds of the Kitchen.

"Uh-uh. You're not goin' out there tonight." Frank tells him before he can even reach the cupboard door where he stores his suit and clubs.

"I can't just have a night off because of the weather, Frank." Lightning illuminates the sky and the room and he pauses, pinching the bridge of his nose.

Frank ignores his protests, guiding him back to the couch. "Look at you. I know when you can't make out shit, you go out there and you'll fucking fall off a roof or something, then what good are you? Besides, one night ain't gonna matter, there isn't gonna be anyone out there in that, I can almost guarantee it."

He pulls Matt down next to him and even as he's grumbling in protest, he supposes Frank's right, his body already relaxing into his arms as they wrap comfortably around him. Matt lets go of a hefty sigh and he can feel Frank's smile against his forehead as he drops a little kiss there. "Yeah, I guess."

He closes his eyes as Frank runs his fingers through his hair and starts stroking at the base of his skull, sending a pleasant tingling up and down his spine.

"Attaboy."

"Mmh, you know you should try this out on the bad guys instead of going in with guns blazing, I swear you'd get better results."

Frank's chest shakes Matt as he chuckles, and an easy smile spreads across his lips. "Always tryin' tame me ain't ya baby?"

"Hey, did I say you could stop?" He admonishes, tucking his legs underneath himself and snuggling even closer, draping an arm across him.

Frank just rolls his eyes with disbelief. "And here you were all ready to go out, like, a second ago."

The already dimly lit room is suddenly plunged into darkness as the billboard across the street goes black.

"Power just go out?" Matt asks, already knowing the answer as the hum from the fridge has stopped.

"Yep."

"Oh what on earth will we do to keep ourselves occupied?" Matt mumbles sarcastically into the softness of Frank's T-shirt, his hands smoothing over the broad expanse of his chest and curling around his waist.

"Gee whiz Red, I just don't know…" Frank replies, imitating Matt's tone, the corner of his mouth pulling up as Matt smoothly moves to sit in his lap, his knees settling either side of Frank's thick thighs. Frank tips his head up as Matt's fingers hook gently just underneath his chin, the pads of his fingers feeling the light scratch and resistance as they travel over his stubble. His hand slides over his jaw, cupping the side of his face, thumb sweeping softly over the skin of his cheek.

Frank's eyes scan over Matt's face as a flash of lightning illuminates him. A stray lock of hair hanging down over his forehead is backlit, his unfocused eyes brightened for a few seconds. He's given a fleeting glimpse of the tip of his jewel-pink tongue as he briefly wets his lips. He breathes in, deep, and out again. Frank smiles.

"You gonna kiss me, or…"

Matt says nothing. He can hear Frank's heart beating, a steady, strong rhythm that he holds so close to his bones every day now. Like a compass it guides him, and like a freshly healed wound it makes him vulnerable. That would have concerned him not too long ago, but now he leans in, feels the heat and solid existence of the man he loves right in front of him.

Frank's eyes close as Matt very slowly dips his head, his bottom lip catching on Frank's upper, warm and soft as he kisses it lightly. Frank's hands slide up Matt's back underneath his unbuttoned shirt, his fingers drifting over scars with a care and tenderness as Matt nudges closer, tilting his head slightly so he can slot his mouth together almost seamlessly with his.

They move as if in water, unhurried and lazily flowing with each other. Only when Matt teases his tongue along Frank's lips does he allow himself to moan quietly, and he opens to let him in and starts to chase the feel and taste of him. Matt's other hand glides up to Frank's hair, fingers furrowing through. It's getting long.

Matt's fingers sneak up under the hem of Frank's shirt and he takes the hint and pulls it off over his head. Matt sheds his shirt too and immediately feels comfort from the sensation of his skin in contact with Frank's.

"You're always so warm." He muses, hanging his arms around Frank's big shoulders as he slumps his body against him. Rough fingertips skate up and down Matt's back again and already his eyes are fluttering closed.

"I guess so." Is Frank's reply, and Matt hears the small intake of breath before he speaks again. "You want anythin'? Was thinking I could get the gas stove out and make hot cocoa or somethin'. Might make you feel better."

Matt ponders for a moment, the pressure of the heavy rain hammering in his head is almost as hard as it was on the window outside. "Sure, yeah that'd be nice."

Frank turns his head to kiss the side of Matt's temple and gently coaxes him up. "Go get into bed. I'll bring it."

Matt sits up, giving him another slow kiss on the lips before he gets up. He takes their shirts into the bedroom with him, changing into a pair of soft sweatpants and throws the clothes in the laundry basket before climbing into bed.

He lays on his back, hands behind his head and elbows splayed wide, homing his tired senses in on the signature of Frank's heart again. It's not long before the reliable drum of it increases in volume and the delicious scent of both Frank and the hot chocolate is permeating his nose. Frank slides in under the covers, scooching close so that Matt can rest on his chest.

"Mm, thanks." He says as he takes an offered mug.

"Makes me feel like a kid again." Frank tells him after taking a sip, and that makes Matt grin thinking of what he must have been like when he was young.

"Get the feeling that we were both difficult children." Matt muses with a huge smile still stuck on his face.

Frank shakes his head, scrunching his nose up at the accusation. "Bullcrap. Speak for yourself Murdock, I was a model kid. Complete angel, good grades, a fucking pleasure to be around."

Matt has to put down his mug. He's laughing so hard and then Frank can't help joining in.

"Okay, yeah… I was the worst." He eventually admits.

"But look at you now," Matt points out. "Bringing your boyfriend a comforting beverage in bed instead of letting him go out to work on a stormy night. You must have picked up some manners somewhere. Now I'd say that's something special."

Frank puts his mug down on the bedside table.

"It sure is." he replies, leaning down to kiss him, the taste of chocolate mixing with the familiar and just as addictive taste of each other.

"How's your head?" Frank asks, rubbing the pads of his fingers gently over the base of Matt's skull. He melts into it as expected.

"Haven't had any complaints." Matt chuckles softly.

Frank shakes his head at him again. "You fuckin'... my god you're an incorrigible little shit. Lucky I love you, huh?"

"Yeah I am." Matt agrees. He's been in love before, but never like this.

"Love you." He replies, before kissing Frank on the lips.

Agent 47 x Black Female Reader Headcanons V1

A/n: Did this while in school lol. Requests are always open. Enjoy lovely’s <3 Masterlist Mega List

He would be so fascinated with your hair. Why is it so kinky and curly? Why are there so many different products? What are protective styles? Why do you need a whole day to wash your hair? He could think of a lifetime of questions.

When you’d do your hair, he would leave you alone or watch you quietly. He saw how it irritated you when your hair didn’t come out the way you wanted. (He knew your irritation wouldn’t be directed at him but he still took precautions) 

He noticed every time you changed your hair. Even if its the slightest change.

“47? What do you think? Is it too small?” When you’d go shopping, you would always (whenever 47 is home) ask 47 what his opinion was. Your body proportions weren’t the normal size 7 pants, size 7 shirt. Its always a struggle to find fitting clothes. 

“No. I like it.” 47 isn’t one too experienced with expressing himself. With the line of work he’s in, he can’t really talk to his victim(s). He didn’t even talk as much before getting in a relationship with you.

Adores and praises the life out of your body. It so different and unique. He discovered his love language is touching, expect his hands all over you when he gets the chance. (and he will get the chance)

Will go out of his way to compliment you. (he does his best) You appreciate his effort overall.

He absolutely LOVES when you get all done up. Hair, makeup, clothes, nails. He loves to see you so confident. (he secretly thinks its sexy)

You are so patient with him. When he struggles to show affection, you help him. When he suggests a hairstyle, you take it into consideration (and most of the time do it because he finds great styles). 

He’s glad that he’s on your good side. One time, he took you on vacation (he had a mission to do and you were talking about going to this place) and the receptionist for the hotel was being very rude and racist. You handled the situation well with the employee but online you let them have it.

Everyone looks online.

He learned that from you and he’ll never forget it. Ever.

Money ain’t a problem. All 47 does is save, he rarely buys anything (other than the occasional work equipment, suits and red ties) so he’s loaded. You need money for your hair? He’s got it. Nails? He’s got it. Wanna go on vacation? Pack your bags.

There isn’t a thing 47 wouldn’t do for you. Your safety is his top priority. (even though you’ve shown him several times you can handle yourself) If that means, breaking up with you will guarantee your safety he’ll do it. (as a last resort)

Isolation. You and 47 live in a remote kind of area, not too much buzz but not too boring. He is VERY overprotective. Keeps tabs on you at all times. Needs to know where you go, who you hang out with. The whole sha-bang. He’ll back off (a little) if you tell him too.

The little things he does for you are so charming. When he thinks a mission will take longer than expected he’d either tell Diana to tell you (if you made plans with him) or he’d bring you back something to make it up to you. You were alright with it. In his line of work everything is not bound to work out all the time. But its so cute. 

A lot of traveling. When a mission isn’t that complicated, he’d take you with him. He would make it his mission (after his actual mission) to make sure you have the time of your life. He would even send you on a trip, then join you later. He see’s how stressful it is being a person of color (even though he doesn’t quite understand why society treats you how it treats you)

If anyone looks at you funny or disrespects you in anyway. Expect nothing less than a corpse the next day. (props to 47)

His goal is to be the man you want to spend the rest of your life with. He’s got the protecting part on lock. He’ll learn how to love you, give you the life you deserve and more.

MY TOUGHTS ON PART ONE OF RED HOOD BY CHIP ZDARSKY :)

Finally I have read part one of the Red Hood story in Batman: Urban Legends!

This story is very interesting, we start with the Red Hood looking for the people who are providing Gotham with a new drug. This drug “Cheerdrops” has been passed around for weeks at this point and it has had devastating results among it's users. If you know Jason you understand that drugs are a big issue for him and one that he treats very carefully and seriously. 

As he interrogates people he arrives to the building where one of the dealers of this drug is supposed to be, there he finds a horrific scene, a boy is desperately trying to wake up his mother who appears to have overdosed in her bed. Jason is quick to call an ambulance and get in contact with Oracle in order to find the boy's father who is (as he finds out later) the man that he was looking for. 

Jason sees this scene and can't help but compare it to the time he went through this situation with his mom all those years ago, so he takes the boy with him so he can take him to his father, who Jason is hoping is a good man that had to sell drugs in order to help his family.

That's basically the premise of this first part of the story but now i will write about my thoughts on the specifics of the story.

The story begins with Jason giving a speech about fear and how it's used, 

"Fear. Its a tool, it's his tool. I never really adopted it, maybe because he kept that fear all to himself." Then he continues with "Never had to rely on it, had to work harder to take out the bad guys, had to be...more direct." he finishes that thought with "Rubber Bullets. So that fear doesn't get turned around on me."

I for one really liked this Fear speech, it does really sum up what the Batman does, he relies on the Fear that he imposes on Gotham's criminals and such while Robin on the other hand was never meant to work with fear, which is true.

It did remind me of the speech that Alfred gave in issue #10 of Under the Red Hood about how Batman works with fear and Jason had some thoughts on it, here is some of it, 

"Master Jason had a condescending practice of referring to the costumed criminals elements as 'dress ups'. He also noted that such individuals did not fear the Batman the way street thugs and mafioso did. The 'dress ups' did not believe he was a monster." "...the boy did say something to me that chilled me to the bone...even then. 'They all know he won't kill them.'"

Anyway let's go back to the actual comic I am talking about...

Jason speaks from his position as Red Hood in current time and says that he uses rubber bullets in order to keep the Bat at bay, the fear that the Bat uses against other criminals cannot be used against him if he plays within the Bat's rules.

As he was doing that he was actually trying to get info about who is making the drug but all he was able to get was who was selling it to the person he was interrogating. This drug is dangerous and Jason has to work fast. 

Here is where we see the first flashback scene, we see Jason in the cave before he was able to go out as Robin and he is not to happy about it. The art is very beautiful but sadly in these panels i found my first problem with the context of Jason becoming Robin and how Zdarsky seems to set Jason's feelings on the first Robin.

It seems that Zdarsky is going for the “Jason believed Dick was the perfect Robin and no matter what he did he would never be as good as him” route, which fine ok, that's your right but, is it really necessary? I must admit i am a little tired of this particular thing because i adore the fact that when Dick and Jason first met they were fine with one another (even if a little wary at the very start). And the whole competitive and “i will never be as good as X person” is really tiring in the Robin/Batfamily fandom.

That problem is not as significant as the next one though.

Jason not thinking that Robin was “badass”. Well this is not only a bad take but it's completely OOC for Jason, no matter how you see it. From his first appearance as Robin to the flashbacks in Winick's UtRH and even through both of Lobdell's runs Jason has always loved the concept and the mantle of Robin as a child. 

Batman v1, #385.

So that whole take is wrong, i don't like it and also who on this or any universe would rather call themselves Batboy? Honestly i hope this is never brought up again or i will cry. ((((Also in this house Robin will always be the name that Mary gave Dick and then he used as his hero name so it hurts a lot more))))

Also at the end of this first flashback Jason discovers a room full of firearms and is obviously surprised because Batman hates those so he asks why he has them, B responds that he has to understand how they work for his detective work, but that's not all he says, he also says this “...Guns are a coward's weapon, and we will not be cowards.”

Alright Mr. Zdarsky i see the irony... i also see the Daredevil / Punisher thingie right there.

Anyway we are now back to the present where we see Batman seeing the effects of the drug in one of its victims, after saving that person he takes some samples of the drug. We also get to see two police officers with different views on the “masks”, that's a nice way to set the story after the Joker War and before the Magistrate. 

Back to Jason, he seems to be struggling, he can't find the people making/providing the drugs in Gotham and is also doubting his skills, he tells a man that if the information that he gave him is incorrect he “will find him” followed with another internal speech full of self doubt, “...sure thing Red Hood, right now you can't even find a street drug. Half of Gotham's teenagers could find it no problem. You never were the best detective.”

Alright, so Jason feels insecure about his skills now? First you have pre-Robin Jason not feeling like he could be able to keep up with the first Robin and now, Jason as a grown man has doubts about the skills that he has used for a long while now? I mean, press X for DOUBT because UtRH showed us how much of a badass and extremely skilled he is. This man planed everything in order to turn the Bat's world upside down (and this story has references to UtRH so it definitely happened) and now he feels like he is not that good? 

Shit. i know where this is going, first the insecurities that he has already worked out... I can see it coming, the next big thing will be Daddy issues. Wonderful i hate it and i hope i am wrong because those “issues” are more than resolved, i know that's the only trope DC throws at Jason but honestly how different will it be this time?

Fine, lets move on. Jason finds himself in one of the apartments and what he sees is horrifying. Lying on a bed there is a woman completely catatonic with a horrible smile on her face and right next to her a terrified little boy.

Here is the best take on Jason's character so far. 

Realizing that the child is scared of the situation and the masked man that just came into his home Jason takes off his mask and reassures the kid that he is there to help, it's quickly made obvious that the woman has overdosed on Cheerdrops, he makes sure to call an ambulance for her stating that she seems to be in a  drug-related coma.

Its important to note that Jason is doing this as he is having troubling thoughts about how much this scene reminds him of the time he was in this little boy's (Tyler) shoes. Its hard for him but he soon realizes that he needs to make sure Tyler is safe. 

He asks Tyler if he has another parent, he does and his name is Andy, after taking a look around the house Jason deduces that maybe the father is also taking drugs so if the police comes they will surely take Tyler and put him in the system, this idea is not one Jason is fond of so he calls Oracle, he asks if she can locate Tyler's dad's phone, when she asks about the kid Jason says that he will be the one keeping him safe.

Now we find ourselves back with Batman where he is investigating the components of Cheerdrops, he finds out that the drug is a modified version of Scarecrow's fear gas that gives the victim a sense of extreme happiness instead of fear.

Here we get confirmation of when in the timeline this story occurs, which is after the events of Infinite Frontier (where there was an attack on Arkham and many patients/prisoners were killed or escaped).

B suggests to Oracle that maybe Crane didn't die there and that he might be behind this drug, he will be on the job right away! To this Oracle is like well shit, so she tells B that Jason is also working this case...and here comes a funny yet confusing interaction. 

Barbara says “I know you two aren't exactly friends right now but...” before she finishes Batman interrupts her by saying “He is a killer Barbara. I will do this alone.”

OH BOY is this interaction confusing! First of all may i point out how different this conversation is from the one in Three Jokers where the roles were basically reversed??? Please tell me that i am not the only one who finds that funny! Anyway that story doesn't matter here, but Red Hood Outlaw from Rebirth does, right?

Here is the thing, the last person that Jason “killed” in rebirth was Penguin and he actually didn't do it, he had him trapped in a panic room in his own Casino. Batman already beat the living shit out of Jason in RHatO #25 for it...and some time has passed, B surely found out that Jason didn't kill Penguin by now, i mean isn't he like the best detective to ever detective in the history of the universe??

Not only that but Jason has been using rubber bullets for a while and even at the start he mentions that, he basically implies that he is playing by the Bat's rules to keep him off his back. Maybe B hasn't let go of the duffel bag full of heads or any of the shitty people Jason killed during UtRH??? If B still holds that against Jason then why would he try to make Jason part of his Bat clan at the beginning of RHatO Rebirth? 

Maybe he still thinks that Jason killed the penguin...but even then isn't B working with Harley and Ghost-Maker? You know, people who have killed? Why is Jason different? Did Jason kill someone recently that we don't know about? Jason only kills a very distinct set of people (that are very not nice) so i guess i don't see the logic...

Anyway second flashback, and this time we have a look at what was going on in the Batcave with B and Alfred during the events of UtRH! Nothing that wasn't explored in UtRH is said here but we do see Alfred explicitly telling Bruce how much they failed Jason. There is a heavy insinuation that the fact that Batman keeps sending the Joker to Arkham only for him to escape and kill more people actually makes B responsible for those deaths and i love that. Thank you. 

Back to Jason and Tyler we get to see some very adorable scenes between the two. Jason gives the lower half of his mask to Tyler to protect his identity like a superhero and we have a really sweet moment in which Tyler chooses the Blue Hood as his name because he likes the colour blue (same Tyler).

After he leaves Tyler in a place where he will be safe he goes to the building where Andy should be and let me tell you the more Jason sees the less hopeful he becomes about Andy being just one of the people selling the drug... He does some shooting and incapacitating and then follows the man that is trying to escape and here is when shit hits the fan. 

Andy is a disgusting human being. He hates Tyler's mother and doesn't care that she might be dead and the piece of shit hates his son so much that he gave a barely 10 year old drugs. 

Yeah. BANG BANG BANG MOTHERFUKER. 

If you think that this leads to Jason being a little more like his UtRH self, you know the guy that said that people who gave drugs to kids will get killed without a thought...yeah that's not happening, here comes the guilt!

I get it he just killed a man, but, did you read what that man said?

Anyway that's how the first part of this story ends. 

The story is good. it has things that don't make much sense but i think it's because Zdarsky is a Batman fan and not a Red Hood fan in the sense that he doesnt know much about Jason's character and that this is his first ever DC work.

I cant wait to see where this story goes, while i hope “unresolved daddy issues” doesn't become a theme yet again in a Red Hood story i believe it's where we are headed. I will keep on reading because i am invested in Jason and Tyler's relationship and what is going to happen now that Jason killed Andy.

Summary: Everyone around you sees how crappy your boyfriend treats you. How long does it take for your old friend Sam Wilson to convince you that you’d be better with him?

A/N: So I listened to All the Things (Your Man Won’t Do) by Joe and I got Sam Wilson vibes BIG TIME and I had to write this lol This is the version that I listened to, the above link is to the music video where I got some of my inspo from lol There’s no real difference other than the length of the song lol

You stood at the counter, ringing up your last customer for the night. It had been a long but exciting shift. You’d gotten a chance to see an old friend of yours, Sam Wilson. You’d seen him on TV fighting alongside, and against, the Avengers. No one believed that you knew the Sam Wilson, especially your boyfriend. It was great seeing him again. You two talked for a while when there weren’t many people in the store, and you exchanged numbers, excited to catch up with him soon.

As you locked up the store, you thought about the good times that you spent with Sam in college. You knew how he had been planning on joining the military and you were glad to see that he was doing well for himself. 

You sighed in annoyance when you heard a clap of thunder over your head as you looked around. Your boyfriend was late once again to pick you up. You absolutely hated waiting around for him, and you hated it even more that he used your car while you were at work. 

Deciding not to wait for him, you pulled out your phone and ordered yourself a Lyft when you received an incoming text.

You checked your Lyft’s location, noting that it was just around the corner. You shifted your weight onto your other foot as you waited when you saw the headlights from the car come around the corner. You adjusted your bag once again as the driver pulled in front of you.

“Y/n?” the driver asked when you opened the door.

You nodded your head, “Yeah, that’s me.” You slid into the back seat and closed the door. You were settling in when your phone buzzed again in your hand. Once you were completely settled, you unlocked your phone and opened your text stream with Sam.

You chewed your lip as you waited for his response. You hoped that he still wanted to meet up. You spent the rest of the car ride trying to distract yourself from waiting for Sam’s reply, and when you made it home without hearing from him again, you were a bit upset with yourself. Maybe you shouldn’t have brought up your boyfriend. Maybe he did just want to catch up as friends and you just ruined that possibility.

You let yourself out of the Lyft after handing the driver a tip and glanced up to your apartment. The living room light was still on, which meant that your boyfriend was home, he had clearly forgotten to come pick you up. Again. You rolled your eyes and trudged up the stairs and contemplated whether or not you wanted to argue about it or not. 

That decision was made for you when you walked through your door to find him laid back on the couch with dirty dishes everywhere.

“Damn, Ty!” you groaned then slammed the door. “You said that you were going to clean up!” you kicked off your shoes and began picking up the mess that he made.

“My bad, Y/n,” he mumbled without taking his eyes off the TV screen. “You know it was my day off.”

You rolled your eyes, “Yeah and I had to work all day! You didn’t even cook? Come on, Ty. You said that you would help out more.”

He waved his hand as if dismissing you and you made your way to the bedroom to get ready for bed. You wrapped your head up in a pineapple before hopping into the shower. Once you were done, you put on lotion and brushed your teeth. Ty had made his way to bed while you were in the shower and he looked to be sleeping already. You pulled back the covers on your side of the bed and flipped on your reading light and opened your book. You were halfway down the page when your phone buzzed.

You smiled when you saw Sam’s name on your screen.

And for the first time in months, you fell asleep with a smile on your face.

Work was going by slowly for you and you kind of anticipated that it would. Whenever you were excited about something, time seemed to slow down.

You’d cleaned almost every aisle of the bookstore and made sure that all the books were facing the right way in the aisles that you cleaned. You’d fluffed pillows refilled coffee mugs of those that needed them and eagerly helped patrons that asked for help. You were intent on keeping yourself busy.

You’d looked at the clock for the millionth time and loudly groaned when you saw that it was only 1:30. You still had an hour and a half left of work.

You looked up eagerly when the chime above the door went off and crinkled your eyebrows when you saw Ty walk through the door. You watched as he scanned the room and make his way over to you when he spotted you.

“I need your car,” he said once he reached you and you rolled your eyes.

“Hey Y/n,” you said in a mock voice. “Can I borrow your car?”

“Hey, Y/n, can I borrow your car?” Ty repeated with a dry voice.

“Why?” your hand was on your hip as you waited for his response.

“Because I have to work late tonight and I’d rather not take a Lyft.” Ty held his hand out for your key and you looked him up and down.

“So how am I supposed to get home?” you said, your foot tapping with annoyance.

He shrugged, “Take a Lyft. Look Y/n, give me the damn keys, I’m about to be late for work.” 

You crossed your arms and pursed your lips, “That sounds like a personal problem.”

“Look, Y/n, I really don’t have time for this,” you could tell that he was becoming agitated. You fished your keys from your pocket and handed them to him, and he snatched them from you and turned to walk away.

“You’re welcome,” you mumbled. “Make sure you put some gas in it too!” you yelled at his retreating form.

“When you gon let him go, Y/n?” your coworker, Tanya, asked you as you walked back up to the front of the store. “The way he treats you isn’t right, and I know you know that.”

“Yeah, I know. I just… I don’t know,” you admitted. “I know he loved me once, but now I don’t know. Now I think he just sees me as… less. Ya know. Like, he barely touches me anymore, not even a hug. It’s like our relationship has run its course but neither one of us wants to be the first to say goodbye.”

“Wow,” Tanya dragged out. “Quoting Gladys Knight?” she chuckled. “Look, you deserve someone that’s gonna love you no matter what. Someone that worships you and brings out the best in you and Ty does not do that. He never did, and you know it. I say, be the first one to say goodbye, because you deserve way better than he can give you.”

You chewed your lip as you thought about what she said. Your three-year relationship with Ty was stagnant, and you couldn’t think of a time when it wasn’t. There was no fire, there never had been, and honestly, your fights weren’t even fights. He typically just sat there as you complained about his mess or that he forgot to come pick you up, something that happened way too often for your liking.

You groaned at your situation wondering how you managed to dig yourself into this hole.

You finished helping one last customer before you clocked out for the day. Now that you didn’t have your car, it would take you longer to get there. You decided to walk instead of catching a Lyft. You needed some time to clear your head before meeting up with Sam.

You window-shopped as you made your way to the bakery. You took in all the sales and wished that you could stop and partake in some retail therapy, but you continued on.

You made it to the bakery sooner than you had hoped, but you didn’t have anywhere else to go so you went in.

You walked to the counter and ordered yourself a cinnamon roll and found a seat in the corner. As you waited, you people watched the patrons in the bakery. Some were old, some were young, but many of them were around your age it seemed. Most of them came in with their families, and it made your heart hurt a little. When you were younger, you thought that you would be married with a couple of kids by now. You had plans after college, but for some reason, they didn’t pan out for you. 

You picked at your cinnamon roll for a few minutes before a shadow cast over you.

“You’re early!” Sam’s booming voice startled you.

“Hey, Sam!” you slid out of your seat and threw your arms around his neck. You melted into his embrace; it felt like you belonged here. Quickly shaking yourself from your thoughts, you pulled away from him and sat back down.

“I’m glad you came, Y/n,” Sam’s smile took up his entire face. That was one thing that you loved about him, his smile was infectious. You couldn’t help but to smile when he did, and his smiles were always genuine, never forced.

You two talked for hours, you didn’t even notice that the sun had gone down.

“Hey, Sam,” a woman with fire-red hair appeared next to your table.

“Wanda, hey, this is Y/n. Y/n, this is Wanda, she owns the place.” Sam introduced the two of you and you smiled as you shook her hand.

“Nice to meet you, Y/n,” she smiled brightly at you. “I’ve heard a lot about you over the last few years, Y/n, it’s great to finally meet you.”

You looked to her in confusion before she continued, “He said that you’re the um, what did you say, Sam?”

“It’s not important, Wanda,” Sam said, clearly trying to get her to move on.

“That’s right, you’re ‘the one that got away’,” she winked at you with a smirk on her face before turning to Sam once again. “I’m going to head home, will you lock up for me?”

Sam nodded once again, “Good night, Wanda!”

You watched as Wanda walked away laughing to herself at Sam’s obvious discomfort. “Well, she’s sweet,” you commented once you heard the back door lock.

“Yeah, and a pain in my ass,” Sam grumbled. “Look-”

You cut him off, “So I’m the one that got away?” you chuckled.

He shrugged, “I had plans to come and get you once I got out but I was kinda messed up after Riley, then Captain America needed me, then the whole Thanos thing. I just wanted to be at my best when I finally did get to see you.”

“Sam, I have-”

“You have a boyfriend, yeah I know.” he scrubbed his face with his hands. “Can you tell me that you’re happy with him, Y/n?”

You remained silent, giving him your answer.

“We have history, Y/n,” Sam continued. “You know you’re mine, and you know I’ll do all the things he won’t do. I’ll do them for you.”

“You know I remember that night? And I know you remember it too.”

Your eyes fluttered closed as the images of that night flashed through your mind.

The two of you panted as Sam thrusted into you, his hips moving at a slow pace and your nails dragging down his back. He fit so well inside of you, like he was made for you. You’d lost count of how many times he’d made you cum already, but you could feel another orgasm stirring. He whispered in your ear, telling you how good you felt wrapped around him.

You’d imagined this many times before, but nothing, nothing, had prepared you for how he would actually make you feel. 

Sam’s hips began to move faster and his hands moved down to your hips to hold you into place as he fucked into you. Your breathy moans filled the air as he grunted in your ear. You’d never heard anything sweeter than the sound of his voice as the two of you made love.

“What good is a diamond nobody can see?” Sam asked. Your hand rested in his as his thumb ran over your knuckles. 

You shrugged, “We’ve been together for three years. It just doesn’t feel right leaving him, ya know?”

“You’d rather spend the rest of your life unhappy?” Sam lowered his voice and leaned closer to you over the table. “Y/n, you know I can make you happy. You deserve it.”

“Sam I-,”

“You say you need someone to be there for you,” he interrupted you again. “To love you all night long

I don't think you have to look no further because I'm right here. And I'm ready to do all the things your man won't do.” 

You locked eyes with him once more, and you saw nothing but sincerity there. Sam was your safe place. He was your home, and he was right. You didn’t have to look further. He was the one for you.

April 2020 Book Review - Quarantine Brain Fry Edition

This month of quarantine was much more challenging for me that last March... I suppose because we’re really in the throws of it, and the “extended spring break” feel has worn off. Between general World Anxieties and the incredible challenges of trying to adapt my work into an online setting, my brain has been absolute mush -- and I have a feeling I’m not the only one. Most of my books this month are either very easy reads (comics and children’s novels) or rereads or both! Honestly, I’ve been playing a lot more Animal Crossing than I have been reading...

So the theme for this month of reading? Treat your brain to a rest, and go reread that favourite comic or picture book or graphic novel from when you were a kid. We don’t have libraries or book stores at the moment, so dig deep into your shelf for something you love that you haven’t touched in a while. Here’s what I read:

Ghost Hunters Adventure Club and the Mystery of the Grande Chateau

I’m going to start with best and most unexpected book that I read this month (although this is actually a New Book and not a reread, so maybe it’s a bad start). It’s a Hardy Boys parody novel, and yes it’s by the Game Grumps. The only reason I even found out it existed was because my brother heard about it and we decided that this would be our next Sibling Read Aloud. It made a great read aloud. I was rather skeptical at first, but it was genuinely very clever and very, very funny. There characters were fucking delightful, as they bumbled their way through the mystery, and we ended up accidentally reading almost half the book in one sitting because we couldn’t put it down once we got to endgame. If you like satire and Classic Youth Mystery then do yourself a favour and give this a go. I am desperate for a sequel.

ISHI: Simple Tips from a Solid Friend

A picture book that was recommended to some of the local elementary children who are dealing with isolation from school and their friends. Its beauty is in its simplicity. It shows Ishi, a very simple white stone, experience challenges that it must then find ways to cope with. Things like loneliness, feeling empty or scared, being sad... all things children (and adults, I very much appreciated this little story) may be experiencing. This is definitely a picture book, not a self-help book, but it’s still very encouraging and makes me want to go and create my own Ishi. There’s a reading of it is online, and if you’re feeling like having a solid stone friend reassure you, I would recommend going to listen to it!

Bone 1-5

So, the first in my long list of books that I reread: I’ve started rereading the Bone series for the first time in years. Hands down one of my all time favourite graphic novel series. If you haven’t read Bone, it’s a classic and one of the best example of American graphic novels imho. It’s about Fone Bone and his cousins who, after being driven out of Boneville by Phoney Bone’s money-grubbling stunts, have found themselves across a desert and in a strange, fantastical valley where nothing makes sense. The three of them get drawn into the strange mysteries and adventures of Thorn, her grandmother, and the village of Barrelhaven. Such a perfect blend of beautiful art, comedy and off-the-wall cartoon-level hijinks, as well as really intense, dark adventure and tension as the story unfolds.

Here Is Greenwood v1

A charming ‘90s manga from my stash that I decided to reread. Honestly one of my favourite feel-good mangas, because it’s such a simple, pure, good-hearted slice of life without some of the gimmicks that other manga use. It’s about Kazuya starting at an all-boys school partway into the year, and moving into the school’s dorms. The entire book is just about him being constantly pestered by the well-meaning characters that share the dorm with him. It’s just goofy and fun, and has the fantastic aesthetic of a good ‘90s manga. Also, it was one of those books that, while technically not ~queer~ was also ~queer enough~ for my deprived teenage soul.

Blood Of Elves

The fourth book of the Witcher series that I’ve finished. I’ll be honest, not my favourite. I really enjoyed the beginning, the whole espionage thing with Dandelion, and then Ciri with Geralt, the Kaer Morhen witchers, and Triss. That was all really fun. It felt like it dragged a lot more though after Ciri joined Yennefer... And yet I love Yennefer as a character, she is hilariously snide and clever and really sweet with Ciri. But it felt like a scene that could have been done in a couple chapters took up half the book. Maybe that’s just because, as I said, my brain was mush and I couldn’t deal with it. I have the next book and as soon as my brain doesn’t look like chicken noodle soup anymore I will be starting it!

The Mouse and the Motorcycle

You know I love a good animal adventure story, and this is one that I adored as a child. The story of Ralph, a young mouse living with his family in a rundown motel, and how he and a young human boy discover that they can understand each other through a shared passion for vehicles... in particular a red toy motorcycle. There’s just something heartwarming about Ralph racing around a motel on a tiny toy motorcycle that runs when he makes motorcycles noises. I’ll have to find the second one as soon as libraries are open again.

Kit: The Adventures of a Raccoon

Another animal adventure story from my childhood, although this one is more of a chapter book than a true novel. This is a book that I’ve been lowkey hunting for years and finally came across in a school library. It’s a more realistic look at what a raccoon’s life is like, from birth to adulthood. Rereading it, it’s not a particularly exciting book and wouldn’t have otherwise stood out to me, but there’s still something that calls to me. It’s very gentle and makes this raccoon’s growing and learning feel very soft and compassionate, even if there are tragedies and death.

A quick edit because it was only just now that I realized that this is a Canadian lit book! Always exciting to discover that a favourite is Canadian!

Calvin and Hobbes: Homicidal Psycho Jungle Cat

Calvin and Hobbes, yet one more bullet to add to the list of Comfort Comics that I’ve pulled out to keep my mind entertained while I can’t quite process Proper Novels. I doubt there’s anything I can say about Calvin and Hobbes that hasn’t already been said. You’ve either read these books already, and are nodding along with  me, or you haven’t and therefore are not a human being I can relate to.

Spy vs Spy

I dug out some of the old Spy vs Spy comics we had as kids. They’re basically falling to pieces, but it was fun -- like so many other books on this list -- to revisit something so familiar but which I haven’t looked at in years. These were a very odd experience to reread, because on one hand Spy vs Spy comics have such a simple, goofy premise it’s hard not to just grin and laugh while you read them, but also like... yup they sure are old and kinda ~problematique~ eh? Whatcha gonna do.

The Twisted Ones

The read aloud my brother and I did before Ghost Hunters, although we technically finished reading it at the very end of March, but too late for it to make that book roundup post. Look, I’m not going to defend myself here. Yes, I’ve read an obscene number of Five Nights at Freddy’s books. The first one of this series The Silver Eyes was honestly better than I would have expected. This sequel was not as good, unsurprisingly, but the main character is still so fucking bizarre, so different than the sort of protagonist I would normally expect from a series like this, that I can’t quite bring myself to stop reading them. And when I had a moment of Realization, about what might be in store for the third book, I genuinely screamed at my brother who was reading at the time. So yes. Somehow this youth horror is better than it has any right to be -- not good but better than it should be -- and yes I will be reading the third the second the libraries open again.

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

Another reread! This was a book I got as a birthday present when I was in... probably preschool? It’s a cross between a large picture book and a chapter book. It’s essentially a “novelization” of the original Disney movie, and it has such cute art to go along with it. Winnie the Pooh has always been a favourite of mine, and reading this old book was like a warm hug. Makes me want to see if I can get my VCR set up so I can watch that old movie again...

Frog and Toad Together

A friend found someone reading this book in a very asmr-style on youtube and recommended I listen because they found it super chill. And they were right! It is ridiculously chill. I’ve never read a Frog and Toad story before, but it’s really just a very cute old book that immediately launches you right back into grade one.

The BFG

This is my first time reading the BFG and it has all of Dahl’s usual charm and quirkiness. A young girl gets plucked out of an abusive orphanage by the Big Friendly Giant, who brings her to the terrifying Land Of Giants... all of which are bigger and crueller than the BFG, and who have an appetite for human flesh. It was quick and fun, and it’s always hard not to fall in love with Dahl’s sweet characters, especially this big eared, dream-catching giant.

I keep seeing videos popping up on youtube criticizing RWBY in a non constructive way and even a youtuber who claims to be working on a reboot of the series since they apparently think rooster teeth has blurred Monty's vision. These videos as well as the fandom have been discouraging me and making feel gloomy lately, since the show is very important to me as I discovered it in a very rough time in my life. How do you feel about the show,and how do you not get discouraged by the negatively?

Ugh, those videos. Yeah, I’ve seen them too. I won’t give names to not cause harassment, but there are certain Youtubers who review RWBY I avoid. Including one I used to really like until what they said about both the recent season of RWBY and about RvB16. The only RWBYTuber I still watch reviews of is ThatKaitoDan, who not only is constructive with his critiques, but is fair, gives just as much praise as critiques, isn't an asshole, and... you know, actually has fun watching the show even when he isn’t happy about something.

So... how I feel about the show? I love it! I’ve been watching since essentially the day that V1 ended, and I’ve been here ever since. RWBY got me into RT in general and in turn things like Achievement Hunter, Camp Camp, and of course Red vs Blue. Has the show had a few bumps? Yeah. But am I still enjoying it? ABsolutely! I guess I tend to be a little more lenient with the show because of the vile I’ve seen throw at Miles and Kerry after Monty’s passing. It really helped me realize ‘hey, there are actual people behind these shows and maybe treating them like shit is a bad thing.’ and I just try to support them as much as I can even when I’m critical because they deserve so much love. The show, to me, is a testament about facing tragedy and continuing on, both in-show and out of it. It’s why I’ve stayed this long, and for now, I don’t plan on leaving until the very last chapter of the very last volume has aired.

As for how I don’t get discouraged... well... it hasn’t been easy. Ever since at least V4, I’ve only seen the negativity seep in more and more. And I’m not going to say that the post-Monty volumes are perfect. They aren’t. Neither were the ones when Monty was around. But it was NOT easy. The V5 period was the worst. While I understand many of the complaints that volume got, the fandom just... became an echo chamber of negativity that really, really killed the enjoyment for me. When it was over, I was relieved because I didn’t have to deal with the negativity for another year, and RvB16 really helped me recover from that (even with its negative reception, it was NEVER anything like RWBY’s negative reception). I guess that you can say RvB helped me decide ‘you know what? I don’t give a shit. I’m going to enjoy this thing, and IDC what anyone else says cause they don’t decide that for me, I do.’

The way I deal with it now is I just don’t focus on it anymore. I have certain tags blocked so that I won’t see it and stick with blogs that I know are safe places. Most of all though, I deal with it by spreading positivity. When I see people use the ‘ruining Monty’s vision’ card, I make a post throwing CRWBY love. I see people going on an ‘Adam did nothing wrong!’ raid? I go look at some Bumblebee content (which I only starting to love because I quit focusing on the negative) and maybe reblog an actual logical post about why Adam sucks. I see someone calling RWBY garbage? I go and listen to the soundtrack, or go pull up an episode of RWBY Chibi, or just go through the RWBY ta gon my blog and take in how far things have come. Heck, I started reviewing RWBY because letting out my own feelings helped me be happy with my opinion, not ashamed of it. I just dow hat I can to make the fandom just a little bit lighter, and that’s how I’ve learned to deal with it.

Overall, CBD is generally safe for dogs (and humans).

Side effects are exceedingly rare and are more commonly experienced by puppies, or dogs who were given an extremely high dose.

It’s a good idea to start out with the lowest recommended dose and monitor for effectiveness, and avoid giving CBD oil to puppies.

Some dogs experience drowsiness, which is the most common side effect for CBD experienced by dogs. Rarely, dogs experience nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, or changes in blood pressure.

If your dog experiences anything more severe than nausea, it’s essential to stop CBD treatment and contact your veterinarian.

Also be careful to avoid CBD sourced from marijuana, as it can contain a higher concentration of THC than is found in CBD sourced from industrial hemp.

Research manufacturers and purchase your dog’s CBD from manufacturers that use third party lab testing to verify their product safety and CBD concentration.

That way, you can be confident that the CBD you’re using for your pet is an excellent quality free of additional cannabinoids and safe to use.

Reasons I ship Bumblebee/Bumbleby

(Re uploading due to some issues sorry for bugging people.) Please keep in mind that these are my reasons and yes while a lot of them might not make the greatest of sense some might not even appeal to you. A few of these I did get from watching a video or reading a topic but a lot of this I try to explain in the best way I can. Enjoy and if you have any you’d like me to throw in for a future topic please don’t hesitate to ask or message or whatever you want. I ask for no hate please if you disagree that’s fine not everyone has to agree with me but please don’t hate or attack because you don’t ship them. —————- Now before I begin this let me go ahead and explain to you that this will be a long journal. This may or may not take some hits from or towards other ships and I may rant and kinda drift off for a moment but let me do my best. It will start off with an analysis of each character and how compatible they are among the other reasons why they should be together. First things first we are going to look at the lyrics of some of the songs. Ones that stand point out Blake and Yang in a sense and while yes this doesn’t really prove much to the ship being canon but it already points out a few significant points to the characters as a whole. I will not take the Bmblb song into consideration because it was denied to be a song towards that ship. Whether it’s denial to stop fanbases from fighting or genuinely true is for us fans to consider but I will not add it in here as a bit of proof on my end. Red like roses fills my dreams and brings me to the place you rest White is cold and always yearning, burdened by a royal test Black the beast descends from shadows Yellow beauty burns gold While this is the lyrics to Red Like Roses Part 1 it actually goes into a bit of detail of each character with only just a few words. Of course we’ll be focusing on the third and fourth verse. Black the beast descends from shadows and Yellow beauty burns gold. Thus giving away Blake and Yang. Now we all know who Blake and Yang are suppose to represent within the fairy tail world. Blake is meant to be belle from beauty and the beast while Yang is meant to be goldilocks not a great connection I know but when you dive further into the story itself you see there is far more to Yang then simply beauty just as there is far more to Blake then dark and mysterious though it suits them both just as well. There is also a song on the v1 volume known as Wings. Which if listened to could be directed to Yang talking to Blake. However this is just for speculation it isn’t confirmed either but if you listen to some of the lyrics here it kinda makes you think. A lot of these will come from other people’s perspectives too so keep in mind I will try my best to give credit where credit is due. ———————————— Now with this introduction lets get to know each character personality wise. Looking up Yang’s information on her personality this is what we get, Note it will not be the full personality because it dives into v3 and I’m trying to focus on what we know around v1-v2. And yes I know a moment from v5 is kind of in here but it might help along when I forget. Yang’s voice actor, Barbara Dunkelman, has said that when Yang’s character was described to her, she was described as “the kind of person who would teach someone how to swim by pushing them in the water”. This speaks volumes about how Yang approaches most things in life. She is very straightforward and confident. Yang is also described as being a cheerful, energetic and bright young lady. She is arguably the most flippant, carefree and adventurous member of her team, frequently making sarcastic comments and jokes even in the heat of battle and often taking combat and hostile situations lightly. Yang is very sociable and extroverted, even in unfamiliar situations. Blake considers Yang the personification of the word “strength”. However, Yang’s “brawler” fighting style is evocative of her personality. Her anger, one of her main assets in battle, can lead her to act predictably. —- As it states Yang is more or less a down to earth confident young woman with a cheerful attitude and a straight forward sense of direction. She is also a huge extrovert but like many she has her faults. One of which is her anger that as stated can lead her to act predictably. It causes her to run head on in the face of danger not thinking before acting which we’ve all seen where that leads. But I’ll get more into that later, For now lets focus on our next character. Blake Belladonna. —- Blake is described as being “mellow” by her voice actress, Arryn Zech. She displays a cool, reserved, and serious personality most of the time but does not lack a humorous side usually in the form of dry wit and sarcasm. Blake is a righteous person, respecting other people’s lives regardless of whether they are Faunus. She strongly despises those who judge and discriminate based on racial prejudice. Blake is outspoken, going so far as to indirectly insult the Schnee Dust Company in front of its heiress and defend Faunus of any kind. Blake is shown to be an introvert. Though she reads books to distance herself from the discussion at hand, as the series continues, she is shown to be more facetious and friendly. Blake appears most conversant when discussing the history and plight of her people. As a Faunus, Blake has faced discrimination in the past and wears a bow when around humans in order to be treated for her character and not her species. However, despite having no hate for Humans, she has seen how the real world works and wonders how she can undo so many years of hate and pain. —- As this personality information states Blake is more or less closed off and always hidden. She prefers to keep to herself and likes to keep her past in the past. Because of all the years of pain she’s had to go through both by human and faunus Blake has major trust issues, even with other faunus (Like Velvet or others) Blake comes off as kind of a well as the post says an introvert, Blake has no desire to make friends or get close to anyone she just wants to become stronger and find a better way to figure out her life all while running from her past. She prefers to be by herself and in this is where things start to get a little interesting to me. —- V-1 & V-2 analysts: Blake and Yang’s introduction to one another and their development through v1 and v2. Now to get off upon Blake and Yang’s very first meeting is more or less. Stiff I guess would be the best way to put it. The one character that actually brings the two together is Yang’s younger sister (half sister) Ruby. Wanting to encourage her sister to make more friends Yang tries to converse with Blake as she reads. Yang tries very hard multiple times to get Blake to open up and make conversation, going out of her way to compliment everything about her but it is ultimately shot down just as many times as she tries. After growing frustrated she proceeds to tell Ruby that she’s a lost cause. This is within the first episode of all of them meeting keep in mind these episodes we’re insanely shorten the beginning of it’s run time. Now lets go to the first initiation, where the teammates are meant to find their partners on their own being sent off into the woods one by one and the first person they make contact with is the first person they’re destined to be with for the next four years. We see Yang looking for anyone but is intending to try to find her sister Ruby but instead finds a few rather agitated Ursa who waste little to no time starting a fight with our lovely blonde heroine. Upon fighting the ursa the first one is taken out with little to no problem up until it cuts her hair which Yang ends up going on a rampage and destroying it within seconds. Taking out the second was easy an she was pumped to take out the third only for Blake to come out of nowhere and take it out for her. Yang implies she could have taken him and honestly I think Blake knew that. So here’s where my curiosity gets the better of me lets skip back just a little. Now skip back a little a few seconds back into the video and before Yang finds the ursa you see something shift past the screen. That something if paused at the right time is more or less identified as Blake. Now here’s something that interested me, Yang openly admitted that Blake was a lost cause the very night before, Blake showed little to no interest in talking to Yang and going out of her way to ignore her kind actions as best as she possibly could. Yet Blake is following Yang willingly stalking her until the perfect moment. Blake could have very well picked anyone else but she chose to be Yang’s partner. She witness Yang take on an ursa by herself, witness her anger get the better of her and that alone should have been a red flag to find someone else but she chose to stay and chose to reveal herself to Yang. Chose to be her partner, right off the bat something is off here. Blake was made out to be an introvert who wants as little human interaction as possible or at least as little interaction with people as possible. She didn’t come to beacon to make friends we find that out later on so why choose the second most friendly and outgoing person in the bunch. One who is the complete opposite of her in almost every way where Blake prefers the dark, Yang shines in the light and where Blake prefers to be alone, Yang prefers to be in the crowd. These two are more opposite then you can get and yet somehow they make it work, Blake even smiles a few times at Yang’s rather dorky yet sometimes slightly oblivious behavior. So my question for this is what made her pick Yang over anyone else. She could have chose Weiss, the two would have avoided each other barely became friends or chose Ruby someone who of course wants to be friends but is too shy to really be open and talk about anything other then books which probably would have settled better with Blake. (NOTE: This is more from an idea on how I think Blake’s perspective would be before Team RWBY was even assigned) However she chose someone who actually wants to get to know her and here’s where my reasoning comes into play. ————– Blake was always someone who was judged simply on her looks never one to be approached with a kind nature and her somewhat stiff persona often led others away then towards. Yang however was more then willing to outright introduce herself knowing nothing about Blake but never stopped to try to make her feel like she could be comfortable if that makes sense. Also if we take into account the first thing Yang compliments is Blake’s bow the one thing Blake uses to hide her secret that she feels would change how the people acted around her, as we find out a little later on Blake wants people to like her for who she is not for what she is. Yang right off the bat accepts every part of Blake without even knowing anything about her. Yang while wanting to know about Blake never pushed her into giving away more then she was comfortable with. While Yang is a boisterous character with a somewhat childish personality at times she genuinely shows a great amount of care and respect for the people she meets something Blake probably didn’t come into contact with often. In her eyes out of the choices she had Yang was probably the best choice by far. ————– Now lets go to episode 15 of Volume 1: After a fight with Weiss over a group known as the White Fang, a group of faunus who thrive to make the world better for the faunus but have turned rather dark over the years. Blake accidentally lets it slip that she was not only a member but is also in fact a faunus upon discovering this she wastes no time in leaving for fearing they would not accept her. During their search for Blake, Yang is kinda well not harsh but firm on Weiss for not being more concerned about their teammate. Ruby wanting to know Blake’s side of things while Weiss is quick to judge Yang’s only concern is for Blake’s safety, they’ hear her side of the story when they found her and when they knew she was safe. That was Yang’s first and only concern for the time being was for Blake’s safety. She not only goes out of her way to worry for her saftey but is more inclined to hear her side of the story before jumping to any harsh conclusions like Weiss did, meanwhile Ruby is honestly just trying to be the neutral party wanting to avoid as much conflict between her friends as possible. Eventually she does grow frustrated with Weiss asking if she even cares if they find Blake putting Yang in a more frustrated state of mind but does put that behind her for the sake of Blake being safely found. In Volume 2 episode 1 Blake is staring at her notebook while looking a bit out of it which causes Yang’s once again kind nature to shine on through and ask if Blake’s alright. Again something I’ve noticed with Yang is she tries not to force the situation when Blake doesn’t want to talk but instead of pushing the issue she goes straight to trying to cheer her up. Making her smile and laugh quite a bit in this episode more near the end though I’ll admit it was mostly just a food fight scene so it’s kinda hard to really look into this episode in any other way but comedic. Anyway in the next episode Blake is once again troubled and when she opens up to her friends on what she wants to do. Yang is one of the first to agree stating in a rather odd tone that she says and I quote.“Yes, I love it when you’re feisty.” and Blake even kinda gives a small smile to it enjoying the fact that Yang loves that she’s passionate about something that means so much to her and is enthusiastically wanting to help fight along side her. The tone alone in how Yang says that line however kinda leads you thinking and wondering what Yang really meant and for me it was more of a curiosity as to how often is Blake feisty around Yang that she has to point out how much she loves it. Anyway lets keep going. In volume 2, chapter 4 Blake shows a lot of concern for Yang while she’s fighting against the paladin. Now here’s something that has been also pointed out by RarityDash. Blake was aware of Yang’s semblance, she has seen it in action during the initiation yet still shows a great deal of concern towards Yang when she’s hit. She’s been with Yang long enough to know how her semblance works yet calls out for her like this is the first time she’s seen it. Now comes to the more obvious scenes people have grown to love and that is Chapter 6 of Volume 2, When Blake goes into an all out funk trying to figure out the White Fang’s plans, barely eating, barely sleeping and not stopping to just relax and have fun not only does it worry Ruby but it also worries Yang. While Yang doesn’t show it she makes it clear that whether Blake wants to or not she does intend for Blake to be at the dance one way or another. After a rather amusing way of distracting Blake to follow Yang, she takes her off somewhere alone so they can talk in private. Instead of Yang giving her a hard time or forcing her to relax she opens up to Blake, she bares the pain of losing her mother both her real and her step mom as well as her abandonment issues too. Sharing a part of her that one can only assume she never really shared with Ruby. Her being too young to know any better and Yang being too ashamed of her own mistake at the fact that she had put her and her sister’s life in danger just to get answers. She had opened up a deep wound for herself on how her mother abandoned her for reasons she hadn’t ever got a chance to figure out. She explains to Blake that her selfishness to finding answers should have gotten her and her sister killed, More or less telling Blake that she’s afraid if Blake continues to go down this road it could very well lead her to her death. Blake is-or at least tries to be understand but also gently pushes Yang’s bode aside claiming that she isn’t a child and that show knows better which eventually does anger Yang and in this flares up her semblance. Something else I took notice too that when it comes to Blake, Yang can turn it on and off at any given moment. She expresses a great deal of concern walking up to Blake looking angry before hugging her and telling her that she doesn’t want her to stop she just wants he to slow down for her and for the people she cares about. Her plan was to put her trust out to Blake and hope Blake would trust her judgement enough to give herself a break if only for a night so she could relax and enjoy herself. Yang believed Blake trusted her that much and was willing to give that trust back ten fold just so she’d rest going out of her way to share something that deeply troubled her in hopes Blake would let it go at least for a night. That right there should speak in volumes on how much Yang cares for Blake. Not to mention the scene that happens after their open conversation but this is a scene that really set it for the fans was Yang actually temps Blake by telling her if she shows up, she’ll even save her a dance before winking at her and then walking away. She says and I quote.“And if you feel like coming out tomorrow, I’ll save you a dance.” This scene alone told me Yang was flirting and inviting Blake to join her for a night of fun and no I don’t mean the dirty kind but pretty much asking her to dance with her just came off as a bit more flirty then it should have. This scene didn’t even need to be added but RT threw it in anyway. If there was nothing there or no hopes of anything being there why throw in Yang teasing Blake this way. The talk sure but the flirting was just something they didn’t need to add if they didn’t intend for us to think something like this. Now Blake does go to the dance with Sun but makes it clear her first dance was spoken for which I found odd. Yang said she’d save Blake a dance, never insinuated that he first dance had to be with Yang yet she went out of her way to dance with Yang first and for the rest of the night while Blake’s having fun. Yang just watches, she doesn’t join in, doesn’t dance with anyone else she just kinda watches Blake from a distance. Even when dancing with Sun Blake looks in Yang’s direction if only for a few brief moments before continuing to dance. Now lets go to episode 9 of volume 2. During the teams first mission. Profess-..Doctor Oobleck goes out of his way to ask why Weiss, Blake and Yang want to be huntresses which they give but while their motives are clear they start to slowly question why they’re here, why they really chose it and what their real reasons really we’re. The three do talk it over each expressing their own insecurities on what they’ll do with their career. After hearing Weiss get down from her choices Yang doesn’t fall too far behind, however this kinda changes once Blake admits that she doesn’t know how she’s going to help her people. Yang’s attitude changes right off the bat as she tries to comfort Blake telling her that she’ll figure it out and she’s never one to back down from a challenge. In the second part of this episode (Episode 10 volume 2) Blake is still showing a lot of uncertainty on how she’s going to fix her problems. Claiming all she knows how to do is run which again Yang goes out of her way to make it clear she’ll figure it out. ———————- Now we’re onto v3 and v4 During the fight with Mercury while everyone is clapping Blake is actually the only one out of the team to stand up and clap for Yang (Again this is another part I got from RariDash, a lot will be used from other youtubers and topic post makers but I will be doing my best to add my own into it as well. After the fight with Mercury however and Yang is sentence on lock down Weiss and Ruby show no hesitation in believing Yang when she says Mercury attacked her first even if they din’t see it happen that way. However Blake is hesitate and that alone greatly worries Yang, she fears she is losing Blake’s trust and that hurts her more then anything else, she breaks down into tears almost begging for Blake to believe her. When Blake explains why. claiming “I had someone very dear to me change, It wasn’t in an instant. It was gradual, little choices that began to pile up.He told me not to worry, at first they we’re accidents, then it was self defense. Before long even I began to think he was right. This is all just very familiar..” she finds it hard to believe Yang she goes into detail that she her previous quote on quote partner (Romantic partner at that) had changed so quickly and part of her was afraid to give Yang that trust back in fear she was becoming like Adam. The fact that Blake compares the two of them says a lot on how she felt for Adam says even more about how she could possibly feel for Yang. The fact that Ruby and Weiss saw Yang attack Mercury but we’re still willing to believe her over what they actually saw barely gets any real reaction from Yang because all she wants is Blake’s trust in her. She wants Blake to believe her and the way she says Blake’s name just kinda breaks your heart it doesn’t sound like a friend hurt you no it sounds like someone who is very close broke your heart in a matter of seconds. This alone, the way Yang acts and the pleading in her voice makes Blake second guess herself, telling yang and I quote and is willing to believe Yang even after momentarily witnessing it for herself she is willing to put past what she saw and put her trust in Yang even if she has a slight bit of doubt she is willing to put that aside for the sake of Yang. After explaining her situation Blake then counters with.”But you’re not him, and you’ve never done anything like this before. So I want to trust you. I will trust you but first I need you to look me in the eyes and tell me he attacked you, I need you to promise me you regret having to do what you did.” After Yang confirms that Mercury attacked her first Blake just simply closes her eyes smiles a little and says.”Okay.” She is willing to put her own trust on the line simply because Yang told her so. The fact that she was willing to believe so much after being hurt by someone like Adam again it speaks in volumes on how much trust and care she has for Yang. When the battle for beacon finally does start Blake’s very first action is to call Yang and make sure she’s safe they both continuously make sure the other is okay. Her first concern is Yang and Yang’s first concern is Blake, something I found odd was that she didn’t dial Yang’s number on her scroll she just flipped it open and Yang popped up which brings to question does she have Yang on speed dial lmao sorry sorry anyway back to the topic at hand another scene that comes into play is something that always bugged me and made me wonder why. Upon Blake and Weiss splitting up, Yang doesn’t question where her sister is, her first and only concern is where Blake is. She puts her sister’s safety on Weiss who is very much tired and goes off to find Blake on her own. The fact no one has any idea where Ruby is doesn’t even get to Yang as she dashes off to find Blake. Now here’s something that got to me. Upon Blake and Adam’s fight once Blake is pinned down Adam makes to point out these exact words.“I will make it my mission to destroy everything you love.”  Literally no sooner does he say that does Yang come into view calling out for Blake. Upon seeing Blake’s reaction Adam continues with “Starting with her.” Which given v5’s sudden reveal it is possible that Blake is confirmed to be bi to some extent. Or at least curious. He actually stabs Blake in the gut just to get a reaction out of Yang and the reaction that Yang has when seeing Blake hurt is one that is both terrifying and heart breaking. She screams at Adam to get away from Blake before launching herself straight at him, eyes red filling with tears, hair ablaze and Blake is left witnessing in horror as Yang is easily cut through. Her arm is sliced like fucking butter I kid you not he makes it look too easy and Yang passes out from her aura being completely drained from her as well as probably from the pain in her arm (Or lack there of.) sorry. Adam goes to finish Yang off and despite Blake’s injury she puts herself in front of Yang to try and save her. Now here’s something people have been pointing out. Blake actually managed to make her semblance stronger due to needing to protect Yang. Meaning she not only made a duplicate of herself but quite possibly of Yang as well so she could get away with her. The fact Blake is able to get away holding Yang as well as dealing with her own injury again should speak in volumes. Then we have that heart breaking scene of Blake clutching Yang’s hand saying nothing but sorry over and over again while Yang lays unconscious. Now during V4 a lot of people complained about this but this volume was literally a recovery volume. For people to get over everything that happened at Beacon and to heal from their injuries both mental and otherwise. The ones who had to heal the most we’re Yang and Blake. Blake left in fear Adam would hurt or kill Yang so she went to the one place she assumes Adam wouldn’t think to look back home while Yang has to once again suffer through the fact she was abandoned by the people she trusted most. First she loses her mother, then she loses Summer, then her father goes into his own bout of depression leaving Yang to raise Ruby alone for a little while. Qrow constantly leaves on missions leaving Yang alone with her thoughts. As V5 explained Yang had no one she had to deal with this loneliness by herself. Also while this might not be something really big we can cling too if you to the episode with Yang watching TV she’ll stop and just glance over at a stack of books. Just staring at them for a moment before her father walks in. A lot of people speculate she was either A: Thinking of Blake, B: Thinking of Ruby or C: Just wanting to read. I can go with either first two choices, just figured I’d point that out. While she is dealing with her own personal demons as well as some triggering PTSD. We often go to Blake who is trying to come to terms that because of her Yang got hurt. Her guilt made her run, while it put these thoughts in her head that Yang would be safe if she left. As we delve in deeper Blake does nearly break down in front of her father after he apologizes for worrying about her. If Sun hadn’t come in I am almost willing to bet Blake would have poured her heart out to her father. Not confessing anything just how she felt and how she felt when Yang was hurt how and in v5 as Weiss somewhat put it “Everything she was afraid would happen did happen the second she let those walls down.”  During that time we are introduced to Ilia who had triggered another fear out of Blake when she had hurt Sun. Blake was furious with Sun before she once again poured her heart out. She never asked for them to put their lives on the line for her, she wants them to hate her because she feels like it would be easier to be hated then to be loved, She tells Sun she’s done seeing her friends hurt because of her, admits that every day she thinks about them and listing off each character Yang’s comes out the worst. Weiss and Ruby are equally missed but Yang. Blake comes off as if Yang is someone she misses so terribly that it hurts to even say her name. While yes she does admit that she loves them, all of them. The way she says Yang’s name leads me to believe that when she says “They we’re my friends, I love them like I never thought I could love anybody”. She thinks no- she believes they’d be better off without her that no one can help her and she’s better off doing everything alone, then Sun kinda does something out of character, for someone who has feelings for Blake he actually in my eyes it seems like he willingly admits defeat by saying this. “You think you’re being selfless but you’re not, and yea your chameleon friend got me good. But I’d do it all again if it meant protecting you and I can promise Yang would say the same.” He didn’t have to add Yang into that statement. He could have just kept it at I’d do it all again if it meant protecting you but instead he added Yang to it knowing how much Blake cares for her. Then he goes and adds to it by saying. “ You can make you’re own choices sure, but you don’t get to make ours. When your friends fight for you, it’s because we want too. So stop pushing us out, it hurts more then anything the bad guys could ever do to us.” In my head this is also something that is triggered towards Yang cause once again in V5 we see Yang state that Blake doesn’t have to do it alone and that she needs her as much as Blake needs Yang. ————————- EDIT: I Added a little more I had missed out on. It’s things like these if they’re small or insignificant to you that’s fine. Everyone has their reasoning for why they like something if my reasoning isn’t enough that’s fine. I just wanted to share. Sorry this was long and I’m sorry I didn’t offer pictures. Tumblr and the way it works is still an odd thing for me. But I hope you all enjoy reading it just the same. Also someone suggested I try White Rose next. I just might actually. I know it’s less likely to be canon but that doesn’t mean I won’t try and think of reasons.

As you may well have heard, there are rumours abound that Neymar is gearing up to part company with Paris Saint-Germain just two years after his world record €222 million move to the Parc des Princes.

Sources have told ESPN FC that Real Madrid players have been talking to the Brazil star to persuade him to join them at the Bernabeu, while Barcelona have begun negotiating a cash deal with a player exchange.

Just three weeks ago, Neymar was among the players modelling PSG’s new “infrared” away kit on their preseason trip to China. But the French champions have been open about the possibility that he could be sold this summer, and now they appear to have surreptitiously begun removing his name and image wherever possible.

These were findings of UOL Esporte journalist Joao Henrique Marques, who took a tour of the PSG club store this week and found that almost all things related to the No. 10 seem to have been removed from sale. In fact, the only trace of Neymar that Marques could spot seems to be a single, small image over in the section where his signature Nike boots are still out on the racks.

A cursory glance at PSG’s official website also reveals that the 27-year-old’s image has also completely vanished from the home page — even the Portuguese-language edition. However, he does retain his place in the squad list. For now, at least.

In the unlikely event that Neymar decides to pop into the PSG club store this week, he may experience an existential crisis akin to Marty McFly watching in horror as he is being erased from history before his very eyes in “Back To The Future.”

Liverpool get ‘Alison’ fitness boost 

Liverpool fans fretting about their goalkeeper’s recent injury can rest easy in the knowledge that Alison Becker’s calves are in tip-top condition.

Unfortunately, however, the Alison Becker (note: only the one “S”) in question isn’t the crocked Reds goalkeeper at all, but the American actor with a very similar name.

Becker, who has dozens of comedy credits to her name but is perhaps best known for playing local newspaper reporter Shauna Malwae-Tweep on “Parks & Recreation,” has been bombarded with concerned “get well soon” messages on Twitter for the past few days.

She has never, to the best of our knowledge, made an appearance for Liverpool — though it’s certainly not the first time she’s been mistaken for the Brazilian shot-stopper on social media.

So while Brazil international Alisson remains ruled out of action for Liverpool “for the next few weeks” by manager Jurgen Klopp, New Jersey-born actor Alison is free to engage in whatever sporting activity she likes.

Fernando Torres designs special kit for farewell match

Fernando Torres is preparing to say goodbye to Sagan Tosu just a little over a year since making his big move to the Japanese top flight.

The 35-year-old is likely to retire after turning out in his farewell game, which has been pinpointed as the upcoming J1 League fixture against Vissel Kobe, where he could face former Spain teammates Andres Iniesta and David Villa.

Torres has also been allowed to help design a one-off Tosu kit for the occasion and the result is a shirt inspired by his favourite Atletico Madrid home kit from 1989.

Russia internationals play match in prison

Back in May, Russia international footballers Aleksandr Kokorin and Pavel Mamaev were both jailed for hooliganism after attacking a trade ministry official and a chauffeur at a Moscow bar.

Kokorin (then of Zenit St Petersburg) was given a sentence of 18 months while Mamaev (Krasnodar) was given 17 months for his part in the brawl.

Despite being behind bars, both players are keeping match fit by playing for the prison’s 6-a-side team.

Indeed, both Kokorin and Mamaev featured in an exhibition game against third-division side Salut Belgorod at the weekend, a 4-2 victory in which Mamaev scored two goals.

Will the story of this encounter one day by dramatised for the big screen, following in the great tradition of sport-in-prison movies such as “Escape To Victory” and “The Longest Yard”? Probably not, no.
