“The babies are distressed, we need to act fast.”

Yoongi was panicking. Wendy had arrived moments after he did, sending that something was wrong with you and the twins. Viviliana had arrived quickly, Mark trying to help her out to the best of his abilities. Yoongi felt helpless, watching as everyone did what they could to help. He sat on the floor, holding his knees to his chest, shaking whilst never taking his eyes off your unconscious form.

Bambam and Jungkook helped carry you onto the table, Yugyeom quickly clearing it, discarding the items onto the floor without a second thought. Viviliana set down her bag, getting out her equipment. Viviliana did basic checks on your body, going to check for pulse before realizing you don’t have one. She carefully placed her hands on your bump, wincing at the strong pair of kicks the twins had unleashed. She carefully lifted up your dress, gasping in shock at the state of your stomach.

The skin was basically translucent, each and every vein visible to the naked eye. Bruises scattered the bump, some red and purple, others a deep brown.

“Yoongi, how long has she been like this?”

Yoongi calmed his breathing so he could speak, “She, she had been tired all day, and dizzy. We got out of the car, and she vomited blood everywhere and passed out.”

“But the bruises?”

Yoongi nodded, “The start of this week. I think the full moon was effecting them, I-I’m not sure.”

Viv nodded, taking your hand and squeezing it, “Y/N, if you can hear me, I need you to squeeze my hand. Can you do that for me?”

There was no response. Viviliana looked around at everyone, “We need to take her to a hospital. I’m not sure what we can do from here. She needs more blood, nasogastric tubing to get the blood in her. The babies could be harmed. They’re only half vampire, the werewolf side is rather prominent. They’re weak, and Y/N is suffering.”

Everyone looked to Yoongi. He had zoned out, his heart beating dangerously high as he heard of what could happen. His heart ached for you, for you to wake up and be okay.

Irene went to approach him, but Bambam beat her to it, his blue hair, which had outgrown by now, still standing out prominently.

He knelt down, placing his hands on his Alpha’s shoulders, shaking him abruptly, “Hyung! Now is not the time! Noona needs you, the babies need you! Stop staring into space and help!”

Bambam pulled him to his feet, and Yoongi took a deep breath in, before nodding, offering a small thank you as he raced to your side, “What hospital?”

Viv thought for a moment, “The same one you went to to see me. I can get her a private room.”

Yoongi scooped you into his arms, his heart breaking as your head rolled back, your lifeless body freezing cold against his, “Let’s go.”

Yoongi got into to the back of the packs Land Rover, Irene driving with Jungkook in the passengers seat. Yoongi brushed your hair out of your face, holding you close, “You’ll be okay baby, I promise.”

The pack arrived at the hospital, the humans in the waiting room astonished at the large group being escorted straight into a room. Mark and Viviliana had arrived faster, going straight to organize the room.

Yoongi placed you down on the hospital bed, before being pulled aside by Wendy, “I have to tell you something.”

Yoongi raised his eyebrows, “What is it?”

“I let Namjoon wake up,” Wendy confessed, “He passed my test, he’s making amends and he’s planning to fix things with Y/N. But he wants to meet up with you first.”

“Me?”

Wendy nodded, “Y/N is in your care. He wants to apologize and ask for forgiveness, and for permission to see her.

“She’s not my property, she’s her own person. Jesus is he from another century or some shit?”

“Technically, yes,” Wendy said, before getting back on track, “He thinks, and I agree, that he should try to talk to you before talking to Y/N.”

Yoongi sighed, “I’ll do it.” He stopped for a moment, scratching the back of his head before looking around awkwardly, “Can you- tell him about what’s happening? He’s still her brother, he deserves to know.”

Wendy smiled, “Of course. Thank you, Yoongi, really.”

Yoongi nodded, before returning back to you. Viviliana was currently trying to insert the nasogastric tube, finding it difficult as you weren’t awake and able to swallow to make sure it went down the right tube.

“You can use magic, Jagiya,” Mark reassured her, gently rubbing her arm. She shook her head, before giving in.

She guided the tube with a simple spell, finally able to secure the smaller tube, “Done.”

A nurse entered the room with a case filled with blood bags, dropping them off and then leaving straight away. She passed Bambam and Yugyeom, who had only just arrived.

Yoongi stood to the side, finding it hard to see you in such a condition. If worse came to worse, and he had to choose between you or the twins, he would choose you. But he knew that you would choose the twins. He also knew it would never come to that, but the thought lingered in his mind.

Bambam placed a hand on his shoulder, giving him a bittersweet smile, “It’s going to be fine Hyung. Viviliana-Noona has it handled. We have magic on our side, not to mention that Y/N-noona is a vampire that cannot die, and the twins are-“

“Half vampire, I know,” Yoongi interrupted, crossing his arms, “They’re weak. They’re only three months along. What if she has to give birth now? Sure they’re about 6 months in human development, but that’s still very premature. They’re only small, so small-“

“Yoongi,” Viviliana cut him off, offering him a small smile, “It’ll be okay. She’s safe now. We can help her.”

The alpha nodded, sitting down on the couch next to Jungkook, as Bambam and Yugyeom followed. Jungkook looked sympathetically to his alpha, bowing his head in respect.

“Hyung, does it hurt?”

“Seeing her in pain, not knowing what’s wrong and if I could have prevented it? Yeah, it fucking hurts,” Yoongi answered, scoffing as he pulled out his phone, checking the time, “You’ll understand when you find your mate. All of a sudden, he or she is your whole world. I would die for her, though she’d never let me. I can’t- live without her.”

“I want to find my mate,” Jungkook confessed, “I just wish it was easier. Feeling their pain, your heart breaking for them, it doesn’t sound very fun.”

Yoongi shrugged, looking to the younger wolf, “It’s hard at times like these. But when you wake up in the morning, and she’s asleep in your arms, protected and safe with a peaceful look on her sleeping face, it’s all worth it.”

The water was cold where Taehyung was. He knew he was still out there. He knew he needed to find him. How he had survived? He would never know. Taehyung wanted to end him, to make him feel the pain he had felt for over 200 years. Only then would he return to his beloved Jimin.

Word had been circulating through the siren infested waters, that an old pirate had returned to his siren hunting ways. Taehyung knew it had to be Youngjae. From what he could remember, his ex-lover was very much human. However, he himself was a human too back then, and many things had changed. He went from being a captive on the ship, to charming the Captain, to falling in love, and being killed. Perhaps it was his destiny to become a siren.

“Taehyung?”

He turned around, his eyes meeting a young siren, “You’re Jeongyeon, right?”

The young girl smiled, “I got your message. About Youngjae. I have the information you need.”

Taehyung sighed, bubbles forming in the water. He could tell she was quite younger, definitely not being over the age of 50. Sirens didn’t age, so she could really be anything, but her child-like innocence with a hint of maturity made him think otherwise.

“Shall we?”

They began to swim together, Jeongyeon taking a moment before speaking, “You were with him, in the Victorian age.”

“I was,” Taehyung said, digging his nails into his palm, “I thought he- you know.”

“Don’t feel disheartened, you weren’t the only victim,” Jeongyeon comforted the older siren, “I’m sure you’re aware by now that the ship you were on had many victims like that. However when you overtook the ship and killed everyone, he survived. We think he was turned.”

“Turned? Into what?”

“A vampire, of some kind. Something immortal,” She confesses, “He, doesn’t drink blood. The council’s assured that. He aged, slightly, but not since forever ago.” She stops the motions in her tail, turning to Taehyung with a scared look, “He’s hunting sirens. He’s kill at least 500 in the past two years. If that doesn’t scare you away from whatever mission you’re on, nothing will.”

Taehyung shook his head, “Youngjae is supposed to be dead at my hands. That’s the only way I can get rid of the attachment to him. Then I can be with Jimin. He’s a werewolf, I’m his mate. I could kill him by being away from him for so long, but I need Youngjae to be dead.”

Jeongyeon nodded in understanding, “I get it. But Youngjae isn’t human anymore. He was vile, and an evil creature before he stepped foot into our world. Taehyung, I urge you to be careful.”

Taehyungs mind drifted to Jimin. The few times they had been intimate together were amazing. A full moon, Jimin had taken a potion that stopped him from turning, so that Taehyung could turn human for the night. Taehyung loved Jimin, in one way or another. But he couldn’t be with him fully knowing that the siren attachment to the man that caused his death was still there.

“All this time I thought I couldn’t love,” Taehyung said, smiling sadly, “But it was just a siren thing. I was cruel to him, I said I couldn’t love. But I can, and I do.”

“And once you kill Youngjae it’ll all be over?”

“Yes, I can go back to Jimin, and we can be happy.”

The next day had passed, and you were still unconscious. Yoongi had fallen asleep on the couch next to your bed, never letting go of your fragile hand. Blood was constantly being pumped into you, hoping to sustain you and the twins.

The others had gone home, Yoongi insisting that they didn’t need to wait with him. Mark and Viv stayed nonetheless, helping out with anything they could.

“Yoongi?”

The werewolf shifted in his seat, opening his eyes slowly, before jumping up and realizing they were still in hospital. Irene stood in front of him, a picnic basket in hand, “I bought food.”

They sat at the small table in the room, eating the sandwiches the maknae’s had made. Yoongi was grateful, he didn’t care about himself at that moment. His focus was on you and the babies.

“Staring at her isn’t going to wake her up, you know?” Irene said, smiling sadly to her alpha, “She’ll wake up, you know that. You still need to look after yourself. She would kill you if she woke up to see you sick.”

“I know,” Yoongi said, finishing off a sandwich, and starting to eat another, “It’s just hard.”

Irene bent down, getting out a folder from the basket, “Momo and Yeri came around, we decided it would be a good idea to plan more of the baby shower. Would you like to have a look?”

Yoongi nodded, taking the purple folder from Irene, a flipping to the first few pages, “Our house is almost done, I payed double so that it would be the top priority.”

“Only you would do that,” Irene teased, before pointing something out on Yoongi’s current page, “A blood punch bowl, except we have blood donors constantly… donating.”

“If it keeps her side of the family happy, then sure,” Yoongi said, a shiver going up his spine, “I don’t think I’ll ever get used to the fact that my mate drinks blood.”

“Just like how she’s probably not going to get used to you turning into to a fluffy wolf once a month,” Irene fired back, winking at the Alpha.

“-Yoongi?”

Both heads turned to your direction, your eyes slightly parted as you tried to make sense of everything. Yoongi ran to your side, taking your hands in his as he kissed your forehead, his lips lingering.

“I’ll go find Viv,” Irene said, bowing and giving the two of you some privacy.

Your head was pounding, and you felt full. You had no thirst for blood, but as you raised your hand to your face you felt the tube, nodding in understanding. Your hand had IV’s inserted into it too, and you laid your head back down on the pillow, “I’m in hospital?” You asked quietly, snuggling your head into Yoongi’s hand. He nodded, moving your hair out of the way of your eyes. “The babies?”

“They’re okay, you’re going to be okay,” Yoongi said, resting his head on your chest, “Baby, I was so scared.”

You played with his hair until Viviliana came, smiling at you as she came over, “Good to see you’re awake. You’re safe, you’re going to be fine. What do you remember?”

“I remember vomiting when I got out of the car,” You said, thinking hard, “Yoongi caught me, and that’s it.”

“Good, no memory problems,” Viv said, ticking something off her clipboard, “We tubed you, so that both you and the babies can get the needed amount of blood.”

You nodded, your hand subconsciously moving to your bump, only to find Yoongi’s hand had beaten you. You placed your hand over his, lacing your fingers together.

“We did an ultrasound last night. They’re both underdeveloped for a werewolf pregnancy, with the girl quite smaller than the boy. They’re going to be fine, but we need to do a few things to ensure that.”

“I’ll do anything,” You said quickly, looking to Yoongi, “We’ll do anything, to make sure they’re okay.”

“And to make sure that you’re okay,” Yoongi added, “Just because you’re immortal doesn’t mean you can overlook your own problems. You’re just as important as they are.”

“I don’t care about myself, I will happily risk my health for them,” You cut in, before Viv cleared her throat.

“So,” She trailed off, smiling awkwardly, “You’re going to be tubed for a while. I’ll teach you everything, it’ll be fine. You can’t get enough blood from blood bags, you need to be constantly fed until the three of you are sustainable.”

“Anything else we need to do?” Yoongi asked, looking to Viv expectantly.

Viv took in a sharp, breath, biting her lip before speaking, “I spoke to one of our consultant psychologists. I explained everything, without the supernatural bits, and we both think that you guys should leave Seoul for a while.”

“What?” You and Yoongi both said, furrowing your eyebrows as he scoffed, “Leave?”

“The babies are distressed, Y/N’s body is too. With all of the drama with your brother, and many other things, we think now would be a good time to get away for a few weeks. You still have to go through another two months of your pregnancy, you should take this chance.”

“Where would we go?” You asked, looking to Yoongi. He thought for a moment, before nodding.

“Daegu.”

“Daegu?”

“I was thinking of organizing a trip for us anyway,” Yoongi confessed, “I can show you where I grew up, maybe meet my mother.”

“I thought your family banished you?” You asked, “I mean, I want to go, I just don’t want it to be stressful for you.”

Yoongi looked up at the ceiling, sighing deeply, “My mother has been begging for me to visit,” The alpha said, “She said my brother wants to fix things.”

You agreed straight away, “Yoongi, if I had the opportunity to fix things with my brother, I would. You should take this chance.”

Yoongi froze, not sure whether or not to mention the fact that Namjoon was better, “Alright,” Yoongi said, “We’ll go to Daegu. When should we leave?”

“Soon,” Viv said, “I suggest 2 weeks. Relax, spend time together, don’t think about us. Everyone will be fine.”

Yoongi got out his phone, a minute later holding it up, “I can get tickets for us to leave tonight. Private plane, just us.”

“Perfect,” Viv said, “I’ll explain to you how to use the feeding tube, Yoongi. For now, keep her rested. I’ll ask Irene and Mark to pack bags for you.”

“Thank you,” Yoongi said, smiling softly at you, “A holiday, how… exciting?”

“I haven’t been to Daegu before,” You said, “But so quickly? Shouldn’t we have planned for a later date or-“

“Sweetheart, this will be good for you,” Yoongi said, caressing your cheek, “For us. We can be normal for a bit.”

You held on tightly to his hand, keeping it pressed against your cheek, “I’m a vampire carrying hybrid twins that has to be tube fed blood. I think this is as normal as it gets honey.”

Yoongi laughed, attempting to move his hand, but stopping when he realized how cold you were, “Want me to warm you up?”

You nodded, moving over and letting him lie in the bed next to you, gently pulling you closer, letting his warmth overtake you, “I’m sorry.”

You snuggled into him, sighing, “You’ve done nothing wrong baby.”

“I got you pregnant, this is happening because you’re pregnant with little half werewolf demons,” He said, laughing at the last part, “You’re suffering.”

“It’s worth it,” You said, looking up at him, “Knowing that in two months, we’ll get to hold our little creations in our arms, and tell them we love them. We’ll be able to raise them not be prejudiced against different species, and to be good people.”

“And how to hunt, and turn into a wolf during a full moon,” Yoongi added, and you nodded, “that too.”

“I love you, Yoongi, and I wouldn’t be doing this unless I wanted to. I want this more than anything, I know you do too.”

He raised his eyebrows, “There’s something I want more.”

“And that is?”

He chuckled, “I’ll tell you another day. I promise.”

You nodded, closing your eyes again. Yoongi’s mind went back to the rings you had tried on two days ago, how beautiful it looked on your delicate hand. He quickly grabbed his phone, sending a text to Mark, before joining you in sleeping.

Everything had been packed, Yoongi had been taught how to use the feeding device, and you were boarding the private plane to Daegu. Yoongi had you wrapped up in his hoodie and his sweatpants, a blanket also placed around your shoulders.

You still had the tube in, you probably would for a while. Yoongi had packed enough blood, and it was unlikely that you would run out.

You walked up the stairs to the plane, letting Yoongi guide you to your seat, taking off your sunglasses and sitting down across from you.

The last few checks were made and you took off,

“Ever been in a private jet before?”

“Nope,” You said, moving your blanket so it lay on top of you, “Never really travelled once I turned, you know?”

“Really? You’re immortal, you could go and see the world,” Yoongi chuckled, checking his phone briefly.

“You could be immortal too,” You said quietly, loud enough for his werewolf hearing to pick up.

Yoongi looked at you, “I know. And I will, for you and the babies, for as long as you’d like.”

“I live forever, Yoongs. I’m hoping you would too,” You said, trying to get comfortable in your chair, and failing to do so.

Yoongi moved his chair so that it reclined, and held his arms open for you. You carefully got up, bringing your blanket and carefully sitting in his lap, letting him push you gently so you were cuddled up to him.

He kissed your temple, breathing in your scent, “Your hair smells nice.” You hummed in response, wrapping your arms around his waist as your head laid on his chest.

“You’re warm,” You whispered back, “My warm alpha.”

Your breathing steadied, indicating you were falling asleep. Yoongi’s phone went off, surprising him as he had forgotten to turn it off.

Yoongi put his phone down, turning it off and bringing his attention back to you. You were asleep in his arms, the peaceful look on your face that he had mentioned to Jungkook clearly evident.

“This, this is what makes everything worth it.”

Very few people know much about this vampire other than not to piss him off.

He is not in the habit of showing mercy to his friends much less his enemies. Kim Namjoon is cold, calculating and intent on outliving god himself. He will do anything to feed his hunger for power but that is nothing unusual for a vampire. Especially one as old as he seems to be.

The truth is that he had to fight his way up his entire existence. The now Ventrue Prince started as nothing more than a slave, sold off at a young age by his father as a way of paying off a debt.

By age 12 he had the habit of seducing his costumers into bringing him gifts that he sold in order to buy his freedom from the brothel he had grown up in.

By 15 he joined a pirate crew beside being a skilled pickpocket. He lied and manipulated his way into becoming a captain after the previous leader's 'unfortunate' demise at 21. He went on to terrorize every town they came across, pillage every ship. No matter what he achieved he always wanted more.

By 23 he had an armada at his fingers. He also extended his services to rich nobles who didn't wish to be robbed and killed. His men became bodyguards. The Monsters began to expand inwards to other towns taking whatever they wanted and burning the rest. Women were raped, men were killed and the children were trained to become part of the Monsters.

By 25 he received word of a man who wished to transport valuables safely across his domain and the negotiations began. One of the demands were that the items had to be transported by Namjoon himself along with 27 of his men. That he would receive half up front and the other half upon delivery. That no one open the coffins that were used to transport the goods. The man refused to tell him what he would be transporting. And should any of the rules be broken the second half of the payment would be forfeit.

The Monster resisted 20 days before his greed got the better of him. Surely the valuables were worth more than the amount offered to him otherwise the man would have told him what was in the coffins. When the ship finally reached the port on a clear night, there were only 5 of his men left. Namjoon and the five had fed off of the other pirates. He had also drained all but one of the vampires.

The Vampire had offered to teach them about the Kindred. The others weren't so lucky, Namjoon had no intention of being outnumbered and overpowered in his own ship. The five, his most loyal stayed by his side till this day, even after they settled in different regions in order to better manage his domain.

Namjoon continues to drain vampires and absorb their strength till this day, always making sure there isn't any evidence linking him to the atrocities. Diablerie, as it is called among the kindred is taboo and almost always punishable by the final death.

It was under his sire that he learned how to read and write, he learned etiquette and philosophy and anything a self-respecting vampire should know to not bring shame upon himself and his sire.

It is fitting that a Korean (Not that they called themselves that back then) should rule the capital of South Korea and rule he shall. It is only a matter of time before he makes a move to take over North Korea as well. He learned to be patient, to bid his time and use the resources around him to ensure the scales tip in his favor.

General Background:

Name: Kim Namjoon

Clan: Ventrue

Naturally, Ventrue gravitate to the upper crust of kine society, where their sophistication serves them in good stead. Although Ventrue move in the same social circles as the Toreador, they do not fritter away their existences in frivolity and idle chatter. The Ventrue proudly wear the privileges of leadership, and stoically bear its burdens. Thus has it always been; thus shall it always be.

Haven: Only the best will do. Ventrue commonly make their havens in mansions or valuable estates. Ventrue vampires often come from wealthy families, and their havens may even be ancestral homes. An old Ventme tradition holds that any member of the clan may take sanctuary with any other member of the clan, and cannot be refused. This tradition is rarely invoked, for the vampire seeking refuge subsequently owes a great debt to the vampire who provided succor. Nonetheless, the custom has saved the unlife of more than one Blue Blood.

Character Creation: Social and Mental Attributes are equally important, and illustrious members of the clan cultivate both aspects. Skills and Knowledges share similar importance, as the clan places great emphasis on being well-rounded and capable. Ventrue Kindred greatly prize Backgrounds, and high levels of Fame, Influence, Mentor, Resources, Retainers and Status go far toward establishing a Blue Blood's precedence.

Weaknesses: Ventrue taste is rarefied to the point of exclusivity, and each Blue Blood may partake of only a certain type of mortal blood. This type is chosen at character creation. For example, a particular Ventrue might feed exclusively from virgins, blond men, naked children or clergy. The character will feed on no other type of blood, even if starving or under duress. Ventrue may feed on vampire blood normally.

Other vampires often cast aspersions on the Ventme, vilifying them as sanctimonious, pompous or even tyrannical - and yet it is the Blue Bloods to whom those other vampires turn when something goes wrong. Ventrue cultivate, influence and - when they can - control the kine's media, police, politics, health and medicine, organized crime, industry, finance, transportation and even the Church. When another vampire requires aid, the Ventme can, often provide it - for a price.

Yoonmin Fic Recs Masterlist (only happy endings)

So I have been reading a lot of Yoongi/Jimin because they are giving me all the feelings, here are some of my favourite ones. I will keep updating this. It is short because I just started not too long ago. :)

Note that this is for fun only and I do not actually believe that the real Yoongi and Jimin will be romantically linked in any way.

In the year 1304 A.D., tensions between the Vampires and the Lycans are at an all time high. Min Yoongi is the Captain of the Death Dealers and the most elite of the Vampires' protectors. Over the long years of his life, Yoongi has grown unemotional and apathetic, no longer interested in feeling emotions. When the human nobles come to visit, Yoongi meets Park Jimin, the youngest son of a baron, and his whole life changes. Suddenly Jimin is the most important thing in his world, and Yoongi will do anthing to protect him.

Me: Someone I just enjoy the same story of aloof Yoongi finally finding something to care about, no matter the universe. Enjoy this one, I loved it.

"Unless you know what a ‘rear oil change’ is? I mean, what the hell are they going to oil, my tires?” Jimin laughs at the ridiculousness. “Oh, I don’t know, but that sounds kind of kinky, 'changing your rear oil.' It sounds like the mechanic is preparing you for buttsex.”

Me: It’s refreshing to see real-life relationship struggles and personal insecurities in a fic. Honestly I think our fandom has one of the most talented writer base there is. This was so good. The author is someone I set notifications for so I get an email whenever they update. Amazing work. Do check out her other stuff if you looking for great characterised stories.

Warm Mr. Wolfie

Jimin's late aunt left him a cabin last year, and he still hasn't been by so he takes time off to spend the holiday season there. Little does he know he'll meet a wolf on his hike behind the cabin, a wolf that will change form in front of him and claim to be his mate.

Me: If you are looking for something short and cute this is the one to go for. Very fast burn.

Gotta Be Fate (If We’re Under the Covers)

Jimin is excited to just sleep for a day and maybe catch up on some tv shows at the hotel.

That is, until they get to the new hotel they’re staying at, and he gets handed a room key that’s the same as Yoongi’s. Meaning, he and Yoongi will share a room and worse, he and Yoongi will have to share a bed.

“Why do I have to share with Yoongi-hyung?” Jimin complains. He’s managed to avoid it this whole trip which is really in his best interest if he wants to keep his raging heart boner for him hidden.

Me: I’ve loved canon-compliant fics, not because I really believe the real-life them are together but because it makes it easier to picture, somehow, This is so cute and sweet.

The Songbird and the Sea

In a world where dominance of the sea is an endless battle between pirates and mariners, Park Jimin is content living in his little village on a small, uninteresting island by the eastern mainland. Me: I just want to say that I’ve been aware of this pic since a very long time ago but I refused to read it until it was completed (cos I am just not very good at waiting). THIS IS A MASTERPIECE.

Winter Blues

Yoongi is turned into a cat by a sorceress, and novice witch Jimin finds him and takes him home. Fluff and feelings ensue.

Me: This fic is fluff. Fluff. Fluff. There is just enough tension. Just enough angst. Just enough everything to make this the perfect warm-feeling fic to end off the night before you sleep.

7 Minutes in Heaven

“It’s a fusion game. The person who spins the bottle gets to ask the person it landed on truth or dare, and if that person doesn’t want to answer or do the dare then they either take a shot or take off an article of clothing,” Jin says like he’s proud of improvising such a fantastic game. “I’m not playing that,” Yoongi says. “Hyung, don’t be a party pooper, are you scared we’ll learn your secrets?” Hoseok asks and Namjoon ah’s dramatically. Yoongi shakes his head and puts his tongue in his cheek before he smiles at their antics, pushing Namjoon over closer to Jin so that he can sit down. “Please, hyung, it sounds like fun!” Jungkook says. “It’s my birthday.”

Me: Indulgent!Yoongi and shy!Jimin is my favourite thing.

Coffee and Honey

"-Hyung...- Hoseok sighs -You are as intimidating as a pink marshmallow. -That's the fucking point! -Yoongi literally bangs his head on the table -He IS a pink marshmallow."

In which Yoongi has insomnia, cannot for the love of God socialize, and Jimin is the way too cheerful and, oh, so downright gorgeus barista who works in a nocturnal coffe shop.

Me: As an insomniac, this fic feels like a dream come true.

Me: I really love canon BTS fics and this one is good so much that it is believable. I really really love how the writer made it realistic and well-paced.

Money can’t buy happiness (except when it does)

“So, I know that you're homeless and that you don't need my pity, it's just that I noticed you always write on the edges of your notebook because you probably can't buy a new one, so I bought you six new notebooks and... wait, are you crying?” AU

Me: This made me sad but made me smile at the same time. As always, all fics all this list end well so get ready for some light angst that ends with fluff.

Please don’t take my Sunshine Away

Min Yoongi is cursed and hasn't seen the sun in three years. Enter Park Jimin, literal ray of sunshine, and suddenly the sun isn't so important anymore.

Me: As someone who has days that feel like they never see the sunlight. I think I am also looking for a Jimin who is the embodiment of sunshine.

in your eyes (it’s where i wanna be)

Jimin pauses with his marker inches away from the cup, because — is he really going to do this? Isn’t it a bit old-fashioned to write something flirty on a coffee cup? But no matter what his churning gut says about danger and what the hell are you doing do you want to die, this guy is — with no better way to put it — totally Jimin’s Type with a capital T.

(Or: Jimin accidentally starts a nickname war with the cute blonde who likes his coffee way too bitter.)

Me: This is just so much cute blushing Jimin and tough but secretly soft Yoongi. I love love love this so much.

Movie Night

Movie night with the band usually means a lazy evening watching some dull western flick while eating unhealthy amounts of popcorn, but every now and then, when it’s Jeongguk’s turn to pick, it means gory horror movies that has Jimin burying his face in the crook of his boyfriend’s neck to not scream in terror at every single jumpscare.

And Yoongi? Well, Yoongi finds a new way to distract him.

Me: This is *blush* the filthiest one-shot I have on this list and it hits all the right spots. Featuring the shy Jiminnie and his indulgent Yoongi.

Barbershop Romance

Jimin's impromptu visit to a salon called SUGA turns out to be more interesting than he expected. Way more interesting.

(Also known as 27 pages full of tooth-rotting fluff, painfully obvious flirting, and sexual tension.)

Me: This is just so much fluff and tension and Min Yoongi being a secret softie for our Jimin.

Barbershop Love

Jimin has never taken his best friend’s jokes about his alleged praise kink seriously, because that’s all they are and ever will be. Jokes. They’re stupid jokes that Taehyung makes at his expense to see the shy Jimin turn into a blushing, embarrassed mess of stuttering protests and meek curses. They’re only jokes, and they’re so stupid.

Or at least Jimin has always thought so, but then his hairdresser boyfriend asks him to pose as a model for his winter collection, and Jimin realizes that there might the teeniest, tiniest bit of truth to Taehyung’s persistent teasing.

Me: I am quite the sucker also for a Jimin with a praise kink. Let’s just leave it as that. This is a sorta sequel to the fic above. MissterMaia is a genius, I would recommend reading everything they have written.

Greedy

Yoongi gives Jimin anything he asks for, but Jimin still wants more.

Me: SugarDaddy!Yoongi pampers SugarBaby!Jimin but his baby wants more. So much more. This is just fluff there is so much fluff.

Math Tutor

Min Yoongi is the school's resident Bad Boy™. He's covered in tattoos, is pierced, curses like a sailor, smokes like crazy, doesn't give a shit about anything, possesses a hot temper that has people steering clear of him, and is desperately in love with Park Jimin, the adorable math nerd. When Jimin is tasked with tutoring Yoongi in math, who is in danger of failing the class and being held back a year, both boys are hesitant. Yoongi because he can't think straight around the boy with startling red hair, and Jimin because Yoongi is scary as hell and looks like he can easily kill someone. Gradually, though, the two grow closer, and Jimin finds that Yoongi is nothing like how he'd imagined.

Me: BadBoy!Yoongi being a softie for our good student Jimin. Hits all the right spots.

Blueberry Muffins

Park Jimin, a meek, quiet assistant at Bangtan News Station, catches the wrath of his long- time crush, the 7’o clock news anchor, Min Yoongi, when Jimin accidentally switches scripts one night and almost causes an incident on live, national television. Yoongi is furious and makes Jimin cry in a room full of their coworkers, calling him names and telling him how stupid he is. Afterwards, Jimin takes to avoiding Yoongi like the plague, and Yoongi, who at first couldn’t stand Jimin, can’t help but start noticing him everywhere. Soon he finds himself falling for Jimin, which scares him, because Yoongi has never felt this way about a man before. Will it be too late to salvage a relationship with Jimin, or did Yoongi ruin his chance for good?

Me: Some light angst here and there but of course, like all the other fics in this list, there is a happy endings.

The Devil’s Mistress

Yoongi is Captain of the pirate ship, the Devil's Mistress, and he and his crew are racing against time to find a famous buried treasure, always one step behind and losing it to another rival ship. To gain the upper hand, Yoongi kidnaps a silver-haired beauty who is rumored to be a creature of great power. He isn't expecting to fall in love on the way.

Me: I love the bed-sharing trope in fics. So this is perfect.

Side Dishes

Yoongi is Korea's most famous actor. He's kissed so many pretty girls that he doesn't know what love is supposed to feel like anymore.

And then he meets rookie actor Park Jimin.

Me: What? A fic with feelings and plot and also a secondary plot that is good enough to be a fic of its own?

Magic Appa Love Scone

The one where Park Jimin thinks he mostly has his shit together until he wakes up married in a future universe that tells him otherwise.

AKA the one where fate slaps Park Jimin across the face.

Me: I know that the title sounds weird but wow this gave me far too many feelings.

Sexy Mochi

Yoongi’s never really understood why it’s a stereotypical thing for alphas to have some obsession with omega’s necks. He’d always thought that was kind of weird and just some macho ‘make your mate submit by biting their throat’ thing until he’s alone in the kitchen with Park Jimin and his damn shirt falls down his damn shoulder.

Me: Omega!Jimin is a tease when he wants to be.

Spring Day

Even when he was a pup, Park Jimin never even dreamed that he would find his soulmate. Thoughts like that were better left to his hopelessly romantic best friend and partner in crime, Kim Taehyung. It's a one in a million chance, but a twist of fate brings a strange wolf into Jimin's life and it changes things forever.

Me: Alpha!Yoongi learns to love with our little Omega!Jimin. With a healthy amount of angst to add to the fluff at the end.

Out of My System

Yoongi likes one night stands and he understands how they work. What he doesn’t understand, however, is how he ended up in bed with a probably-not-legal kid crying in his arms about his broken heart, because he’s pretty sure (and correct him if he’s wrong) that a babysitting job was not what he was looking for when he went to the opening of his friend’s new club.

Me: How do I say this, there are fics that start with one night stands and none of them went on as beautifully as this one. It is a natural progression, almost like a real relationship, I am like the way Yoongi is portrayed here. Conflicted but ultimately a softie at heart.

where the heart is

She hadn’t been ready to be a mother and Yoongi hadn’t been ready to be a father, but where she had turned tail and run, Yoongi had vowed never to do the same.

Me: I wasn’t expecting this single father Yoongi story to pull me in as much as it did. There is sufficient twists in this to keep it interesting and also a climax at the end which is nice. A soft, mostly fluffy story of how a Yoongi believes in love again.

Joseon Era AU: Jimin, a low born, catches the attention of nobleboy Min Yoongi.

Me: I wasn’t sure what to expect of this Joseon AU fic but it was pretty good, with enough character progression. Read it for something different.

Paper Chase

Jimin thought that joining a fraternity would be all parties and fun. He hadn’t anticipated falling for his cute roommate, Yoongi.

Me: If you are looking for some light fluff and PWP, this is the fic to go for. It is a hard R so beware.

Jimin isn't sure what possessed him to lie to his mother and tell her that he had a boyfriend, but now that he's opened the position, he has no choice but to fill it. Yoongi is, apparently, his only option.

Me: I just love love love love the whole fake boyfriend idea no matter which fandom I am into at the moment. I really enjoyed this one there is some angst but also so must fluff.

The 100-Day Love Challenge

For a variety show challenge, Jimin must tell Yoongi every day for 100 days that he loves him.

Me: There is nothing for me to explain. Nothing. If you are having a bad day and need fluff this is it.

Conflicting Arrangement

"Absolutely not," Yoongi deadpanned. "Namjoon-ah. I value you as a friend, and I think I'd even go as far as to say that you're my best friend, but absolutely fucking not."

"You owe me," Namjoon pleaded. "Come on, Yoongi, it's not a big deal."

"Your boyfriend's best friend's best friend needs a fake boyfriend to come out to his family this Chuseok, all the way in fucking Busan." Yoongi repeated drily without pause, making Namjoon wince. He flipped a page of his textbook, picking up his highlighter. "Not a big deal, Namjoon. Amazing."

Me: This is a really really long fic but god do I love it. It is worth it. Slow but the character development is really really well done. It is also yet another pretend boyfriend fics (I just love them)

First Love

Jimin is being courted for the first time. He doesn't really know what to do.

Me: This fic is in the OmegaVerse, if you are not into it please do not enter. I repeat, DO NOT ENTER. However if you are, this fic is just too precious not to share I want to drown in the fluffiness of it all.

Do You Like Your Drafts Rough?

As a romance novelist, one would think Min Yoongi would have his own romantic life sorted out a little more than he actually did. Because instead of being in a happy, nauseating relationship, Yoongi was juggling both a one-sided crush and some punk who lived downstairs.

Me: This is an AU where Yoongi is a writer and Jin is a librarian. I highly recommend the entire series.

Jimin's never been fond of Taehyung and when a spell goes awry, he's left to take care of Taehyung. Jimin learns that appearances are rarely what they seem and that quite possibly, he's misjudged Taehyung all along.

Namjoon, however, definitely thinks about him.
