was hoping you could write headcanons for the courtiers (if you feel like it's a lot of work, Valerius alone would be fine) with a very affectionate s/o

(and sorry if my english is not great, it is not my first language^^)

Hello, lovely anon! Do not worry, English isn't my first language either and yes, you may have all five courtiers!

Vulgora

- At first it's awkward. VERY awkward. They are not used to gentleness, let alone affection

- The moment you embrace them, Vulgora freezes, looking down (or up) at you while they try to process what in the Devil's name you are doing

- You must consider yourself lucky. If it were anyone else they would've pulled a WWE on them and thrown the person in question across the room

- You know how touch averse people react when they receive a hug from someone they care about but they don't have the heart to tell them to stop? That's them rn

- When reality settles in, they pat your back slowly. If you laugh, they will turn beet red and ask you what's so funny

- You tell them they are cute

- "SHUT UP! YOU ARE THE CUTE ONE!" (Agressive flirting: check)

- It's okay, just give them time and space and they will eventually initiate the hugs themselves. Bone crushing hugs

- When they are finally comfortable with being touched at all, they are more than happy to receive your affections. Hugs, kissing, hand holding... You name it! Though, be warned, Vulgora's body temperature is above the average human's and varies depending on their mood

- They live for PDA and will show you off any chance they got

Valdemar

- Good luck trying to step close enough, it's like they can smell your intentions. The moment you reach out for them, they step away and look at you with the creepiest passive-agressive smile

- "Whatever do you think you are doing?"

- You tell them you just wanted a hug. They chuckle

- "No."

- If you somehow manage to make them feel the slightest amount of pity for you, they might allow you to embrace them... Once

- It's like hugging a corpse. They are boney, stiff and overall cold (both in a literal and rethorical sense)

- Don't expect this moment to last more than three seconds

- They don't mind your affectionate nature, even if they do not share or understand it at all, but just like they respect this behaviour of yours, they expect you to mind their boundries

- Never. I repeat, NEVER try to surprise them. They always have something sharp and dangerous between their hands and you might be stabbed

- But you are their friend, after all, so if by any chance they did hurt you, they will help you out. Just don't do that again

Volta

- This poor, poor baby. She NEEDS someone affectionate

- She is very clingy herself. She loves every and any type of physical contact as long as it's gentle and loving

- Holding hands has to be her favorite. Her tiny little grabbers are always on yours in almost every situation

- Did I mention how much she adores being carried? Please, hold her any chance you got. She is light as a feather, you won't have any problems

- Catch Vulgora gagging at how sappy the two of you are and telling you to get a room. You are happy, however, so you ignore their complaints

- She is very possessive. No one has ever been so kind to Volta

- "B-But MC! What if they take you away from Volta? Oh, she would be so sad... So sad..."

- Please, for the love of God, don't try to make her jelous. Not even jokingly. Her sensitive little heart is not able to take it and she will immediately start crying

- Overall you'll have to do lots of reassurance, and what better way to do that than to tell her how much you love her through cuddles?

- Volta just can't live without you now. She has horrible abandonment issues

Vlastomil

- Shyshyshy

- Take it easy with him, he might have a heart attack if you hug him out of the blue

- Catch him turning every different shade of red when you show the slightest sign of affection

- Don't get me wrong, he appreciates your display of emotion! He is just not used to it, much like every other courtier

- He has mixed feelings about PDA: he loves the fact that you don't mind being seen in public with him, but at the same time he feels everyone's eyes on him while you hold hands and that is not good for his social anxiety

- He is surprisingly good at hugging. He isn't too gentle or too harsh. He uses the perfect amount of pressure

- Expect a worm or two to sneak into your cuddle sessions

- "Apologies, darling! These little guys follow me absolutely every where"

- Don't worry, if you are not comfortable with his precious worms, he will make sure they are away for as long as you are there. That is not to say he won't try to show you they are harmless

Valerius

- Much like Vulgora, he is weirded out at first. He is not particularly fond of physical contact if any kind. Contrary to the Pontifex, Valerius is very much used to receiving affection (from his parents, that is)

- He stands perfectly still as you wrap your arms around him. It's... uncomfortable. For the both of you

- "Are you done, magician?"

- When you frown at his reaction, he chuckles. You freeze. He can smile? He can laugh?? He can feel any other emotion other than spite???

- Yes, of course he can. Only toward you, though. With everyone else he is still very dry

- Once he accepts his feelings toward you, he drops the mean attitude and turns into the sweetest man. He is very attentive, loving and (surprisingly) affectionate!

- He is not fond of PDA, though. Sure, he has no problem with a subtle flirting, maybe holding your hand for a while, but you won't catch him being all lovey-dovey in public

- He is a gentle lover and he only ever smiles around you. He has the softest, most sweet smile you have ever seen

- Cuddling is a foreign term to him, but does not mean he doesn't enjoy it!

- Valerius is not an over the top kinda guy, but that's what makes him special. He reserves his tender side for you and you only

His daughter would be raised in riches, spoiled, treated like a princess and she would probably be an absolute brat

you cannot tell me that this man wouldn't scream at his home staff, how dare they try to talk down to his daughter ? What do you mean they're just trying to discipline her and to teach her not to set the curtains on fire? Just who do you think you are?!

The child grows to believe they can get away with anything, and with him, she honestly can, she just has to avoid the other courtiers..or else who know what could happen

she gets a pet worm as a gift for her first birthday, said worm turns to be a specie that keeps getting bigger with the years until death ( dune worm dune worm dune worm du- )

Vlastodad can and will send little worms to watch over his baby girl each time she's not in his direct eyesight, they take care of her !!

While she might be rude to other people I believe she would be very patient and kind to animals, growing up with unconventional pets definitely helps

would probably be a bug girl, the garden is full of crickets and she feeds the roaches in the back kitchen

Though Vlastomil is a very indulgent and doting father he would at least try to teach his daughter manners, so she would act well in court and in front of people, she would be very good at deception, bringing pride to her dad with each practiced fake courtesy

though she'd be very close to him as a young child, her teenage years would be harder, her father is overbearing and anxious

Around the cursed age of 15 the both would start fighting over little things, why must her curfew be so early? Did she went behind his back to meet a boy? How dare she lies to his face!! Of course he knows, his worms were here and they told him! No she doesn't need privacy, he's her father! It's for her own good!

cue doors slamming and yelling matches in the whole estate, the staff is cringing

If she's upset the worms will try to make her feel better, but if she ignores them because they snitched on her ? Oh boy the worm have switched sides !!

Main six plus the courtiers with a bilingual significant other! Hope y'all enjoy, and thanks for the surprising amount of support! :)

Asra 💜:

Finds it cool that you know another language, and will probably ask you how you learnt it, why you learned it, etc.

Asra is also bilingual! He speaks Arabic, too, which was his first language. He can also write in it flawlessly and though he speaks English very well, his writing in English can get a bit messy when he's tired

They'll probably want to learn a few things in the other languages you know just for fun, and if you want to have conversations in that language? Even better! Asra will hit the books right away!

If you have just a bit of an accent when you switch to English or the other language you know, Asra will probably blush a bit. He finds it attractive.

Will probably brag to their parents that you're so smart that you know more than one language, and probably to their friends, too.

If you know Arabic, or even better- learned it for Asra, he'll probably fall a bit harder for you and the bragging to his parents will most definitely be nonstop.

Muriel💙:

Finds it impressive, especially since he just knows English. Will ask you a bit about the language you know, how good you are, etc.

He'll probably not want to learn it though, not because he thinks it's weird, just because he's kind of bad at memorizing things (unless it comes to what you like).

If you want him to try though, he definitely will. He'd probably try to read some books and give up, and try flash cards instead. In the end, he can kind of carry a conversation with you in the language.

But if you want to speak in that language to him more often, he'll definitely amp up his studying and a lot of the times in the evening you'll find him quietly making more flashcards. It warms your heart.

He manages to stumble through an "I love you" in the language you know and gets really happy when you can understand him.

Nadia💎:

Finds it refined and elegant that you can speak in another language, even if you can barely do it and stutter through your words.

If you have any accent, she'll also find that extremely graceful of you.

She also knows a few languages herself which includes English and a few dialects of Hindi, but she won't tell you unless you ask, just because she's never thought of it before.

If you know her language or any of the dialects (or teach yourself), no matter how broken it is, she'll melt.

Is probably similar to Asra in the act of bragging to her family about you and your skills. A lot.

Might learn a phrase or two in the language you know, just to say it to you and see your reaction. But then she's suddenly studying it every night and sometimes mumbles it in her sleep when you two cuddle.

Julian🦠:

Thinks it's cool and deems you 'even smarter'

He knows Russian and might say a thing or two to you in it when he's teasing you. If you know Russian, he most definitely will blush whenever you even start to speak it for a second.

He insists that you teach him some together to 'bond', and he'll also most likely watch a few videos to learn it, too. His pronunciation is very bad, but he's so proud, you can't really tell him that.

He'll probably brag to Portia, too, about how awesome you are and how you're bilingual. He may or may not write down every little thing he loves about you in one of his journals. His journals are a mess though, so you'll never find it.

Will call you a nickname in the other language you know like sweetheart or honey. If you allow it, of course.

Portia🧡:

As soon as she hears you speak it, she's fallen in love all over again. Will definitely blush each time you speak it, which she can't help!

She knows just a bit of Russian, but not a lot, and mainly speaks English. Hearing and knowing that your bilingual definitely inspires her to get back to being fluent? And oh, if you speak Russian, she's absolutely floored.

Might study with you if you're not fluent yet, just for the bonding.

Gets all flustered if you have an accent, too.

She actually goes to her brother to get back into her Russian and will affectionately refer to you in terms of endearment of your own language, or her own like "Дорогой" or "Моя любовь"

Lucio👑:

Someone call an ambulance, because he thinks he's about to have a heart attack when he hears you speak in the other language that you know. A good heart attack, of course!

Only knows English himself and is impressed no matter what language you speak. He might even learn some of it just to impress you.

He's so proud of you for knowing another language, no matter what level of fluent you are. Sometimes he just asks you to speak it to him so he can relax.

If he's actually committed to learning your language for you, he'll put some TV shows on with voiceovers in the language you speak, since he heard that's the best way to learn.

Might even get a book, if he wants to feel like he really is trying.

After a long time, he'll be able to stutter through a conversation with you in the other language you know. But only to see you smile.

Valerius🍷:

How... Sophisticated. He's definitely impressed. Which, honestly, is rare for him. He only knows English, so to know that you know another language has him a bit speechless for a moment.

To show how impressed he is with your language abilities, he'll most likely get you a few books in the other language you know so that you can read them.

And if you have an accent? He's blushing already.

Will study the language half heartedly for a bit when one day he suddenly decides he actually wants to know it like you do, and studies much more.

He's able to keep a conversation with you, and to him, he's very proud of both you... And, yes, himself. But he definitely won't say it or brag or anything, he's just happy he can talk to you in the language. Especially gossip.

Vlastomil🐛:

Doesn't realize that you're bilingual at first, but when he does, he'll definitely compliment you on your knowledge.

Thinks that it's very smart for you to know more than one language, and finds himself impressed by the face that you're bilingual.

If you happen to have an accent in either your English or other language, he thinks that it's extremely cute and will probably ask you to speak to him in your other language just to hear it.

Just knows English and a bit of Latin, and that's probably enough for him. But if you want him to learn your language? For you, anything.

He'll definitely commit to it if you want him to learn it too, and will end up buying lots of books about the language. He ends up stuttering through it and half fluent, but very proud.

Valdemar🧠:

If you know a language, Valdemar probably knows it too, but they're still impressed. They probably won't admit it, though.

If you have an accent in either English or the other language, they find it, strangely... adorable. Very adorable, and they insist you speak it more often around them. They had spent years hiding their own accent/s wherever they went, after all.

Will definitely have a few books in the language you know. And they give it to you. They don't lend it to you. They give it to you, insisting that it was yours all along in the end.

If you call them something affectionate in your language, they will respond with a surprisingly enthusiastic kiss.

Volta🍰:

Wow, she's so impressed! She doesn't know many bilingual people and is monolingual herself, which makes your knowledge even more impressive to her.

Will want to watch shows with you that have your language in it, even though she can't understand it, just to bond.

She'll also probably want to try food from the country that speaks your language, just from curiousity.

She gets super blushy if you ever refer to her in your language as something affectionate, and will probably make a little squeaking noise.

Vulgora⚔️:

Only knows English, and is very impressed with your skill. Insists that they learn some, too, just so you two can talk in your other language.

They love it when you speak in the other language you know, and they find it actually calms them down, a lot. It's so calming to them that it's able to put them to sleep, really.

They brag about your skill to other nobles and maybe even the family members they still talk to.

If you ever refer to them as something affectionate in the language you know, they will demand you repeat it over and over for them until they can say it themselves and calm you that

It's surprisingly sweet for such an aggressive warrior.

What Dating The Courtiers Would Be Like ☆

Volta

My baby volta is new to all this so your gonna have to communicate your feelings HEAVILY.

Volta is very clingy so expect to have her attached to your hip 24/7.

Unless there's food somewhere else you ain't getting rid of her.

Vlastomil

If you so happen to find yourself dating this wormy man I would think that it could be very hard to capture his attention unless your talking about worms or palace gossip.

If you want something from him or want to talk to him dropping him subtle hints won't work at all. You'll have to tell him upfront.

Though I don't think his lack of interest in your day to day life comes from a place of malice.

it's just he's so consumed in his wormy activities that everything else goes over his head. To make the relationship work you'll both need to communicate HEAVILYYYYYYYYYY.

Vulgora

Vulgora would be really REALLY protective (maybe bordering on toxic....)

I feel like they would either be extremely affectionate with you anywhere and everywhere or be extremely reserved with their affections until behind closed doors.

Though since you captured the pontifex's attention you must be one hell of a fighter which makes them hold you in the highest regard.🤭

Vlademar

When you two first started pursuing eachother seriously I think that vlademar would love to give you very subtle acts of affection in public just to watch you squirm and get flustered.

Be prepared to have them DOTE on your health.

I also think that instead of "traditional" gifts vlademar would most likely give you cute but very morbid poems about their love for you.

Valerius

Despite how little I know about his character I just know that this man would be A MASSIVE tsundere.

He wouldn't be open with his affections until atleast a year into dating you but he would make sure that you know he loves you. (That one doesn't make sense but yk valerius doesn't make any sense either)

Also be prepared for alot of extremely drunk confessions that he will heavily regret in the morning.

Quiet mornings with Volta are only quiet after you’ve both had breakfast. Once that is out of the way, although Volta is still oh so very hungry per usual, she can at least function. The two of you cuddle up in bed, with her sat on your lap, nuzzling up to your neck. Although her nose is always cold, it doesn’t take long for the both of you to get cozy. Occasionally she remembers how lucky she is to have you and begins to happily bounce, maybe even cry. She’s sensitive just hug her tighter.

“Oh- Volta is so very happy to be with S/O! S/O is so nice and so pretty and- Volta loves S/O very much!”

Your mornings usually start with tight hugs, Vlastomil is a clingy boy. He wakes you up with lots of kisses, and he’s too busy smothering you to remember his precious worms. That doesn’t last long, however, and he’s off to give the worms their luxurious breakfast. However, once that is done, he’s all over you again. The two of you cuddle up outside of his estate, in the garden, with the sun warming up your faces. Because he’s long and lanky, he’s completely tangled with your limbs, but it’s not uncomfortable. He just rambles about his babies and you doze off on his chest.

“Oh my worm, my precious babies haven’t had their breakfast! I’ll be right back my dearest, they must miss me so much!”

Vulgora and the concept of quietness don’t quite go together, they’re just so excited to do lots of stuff with you! Which is why they wake up so early, they have lots of energy that can’t physically be restrained for too long. They’ve learnt not to wake you when they wake up, so they go to train for a while until it’s time for you to wake up. They’re the one who decides that, they’re the impatient sort. Fortunately for you, they’ve already burnt a lot of that energy beating up one of their training dummies, so they’re not as hyper as before. It takes a bit of convincing, but they agree to just lay in bed together, with their strong arms wrapped tightly around you.

“YOU SLEEP TOO MUCH, SLEEP IS FOR THE WEAK! Tomorrow we ARE sparring, you promised!”

valerius

Valerius usually has to wake up early to tend to his duties as consul, but in free mornings like this one, he’s not beyond sleeping in. Don’t expect to leave bed soon, he has an iron grip on you and you’re not getting out of bed anytime soon. He says it’s because he’s cold, he just wants to hold you since it’s been a while since the two of you cuddled up like this. He might scold you if you try to play with his hair, because you might get it tangled, but it doesn’t take too much time for him to give in. Now you can’t stop, or he will whine at you to keep doing it.

“Hmph… don’t look at me like that- I just… I missed your stupid face.”

✿ you were a magician travelling around as a helper with your familiar, a tibetan mastiff named volney. you'd recently arrived in vesuvia, and were offering your services around the city-nation. you'd taken quite the liking to the place.

✿ you were both young adults, valerius only recently having started in the vesuvian court. you both still had a youthful glow around you, that would soon be gone.

✿ you were called into the palace by the countess, asking for your help with some magical problems they'd been having. in the middle of your conversation with the lovely countess, valerius walked in and proceeded to interrupt the both of you. you'd waved off any apologies from nadia and said that you didn't mind being interrupted by a cute omega.

✿ as it turns out valerius was the one working with you while solving the problem, which means a few weeks of spending time together. and after you set up shop in vesuvia, you'd often end up working with him on something or the other.

✿ valerius thought that you were so annoying. so laidback, so aloof, so... uncaring. and your goddamn dog, always following you around everywhere. well, mostly he was salty about being called a cute omega, but he'd come around to you eventually. you immediately knew valerius was your prime target. for annoying that is. he was just such a cute and easy target, especially as you started working more with him. and volney seemed to like him, so why not you?

✿ you'd just set up shop in vesuvia, settling down with your familiar, a hedgehog named danforth. you'd not yet fully opened up, as you hadn't gotten everything in order. thankfully you had asra as a helper, though at the time he'd just started travelling.

✿ you appeared to be in your twenties, and vlastomil, well... who knows how old he was at that point. but it was before the plague started up, though it wouldn't be long until then.

✿ vlastomil appeared in your shop, with the door locked, asking if you had some very specific ingredients for worm food. you took the break-in rather calmly, that is to say you hit him with a transmutation spell and momentarily turned him into a worm. after calming down, and a few magical words and apologies later you promised to find him the ingredients as soon as possible.

✿ vlastomil kept appearing in your shop every once in a while for more ingredients, which you started just keeping in stock. you didn't really get his thing with worms, mostly just seeing them as food for danforth, but you still listened to his odd ramblings.

✿ vlastomil was delighted by your magics, turning him into a worm? a delight! he only hoped he could have convinced you to do it again. but for now he's content with your devotion to finding his ingredients and your attentiveness to his ramblings. you mostly thought of vlastomil as a weird nuisance, though a surprisingly good conversation partner. you just wished he would actually listen to the shop's opening hours and stop scaring you every time he comes to visit.

✿ you were still just a travelling magician and hunter, looking for your forever home to settle down in. you had quite the reputation at the time, alongside your familiar, a kestrel named attila, both of you known for your efficiency in hunting all kinds of prey.

✿ you were still a twenty year old, though you'd been a famed hunter for a long time by that point already. and of course with vulgora no one knows their true age.

✿ you'd been hunting some poor soul you'd been hired to find. you found them in the middle of a battlefield, where you confidently walked through all the fighting until you got your sights on your target. aiming your bow, you almost got him if not for vulgora stepping in the middle with a dangerous glint in their eyes. your target got away and you had to stay to battle vulgora away from you.

✿ you kept running into vulgora every once in a while, usually in the middle of your hunts. and they always ruined your hunts in some way or another, usually by drawing you into battle with them. at least one of you was having fun...

✿ vulgora found you so interesting. your confidence in the middle of a bloody battlefield, your absolute focus on your target, oh it was just so beautiful. and the annoyance upon being interrupted, it was almost addicting to them. you absolutely despised them, getting in your way all the time. if you could just get rid of them you would, but nothing you did seemed to kill them. so, mostly they were a huge annoyance to you that you tried to avoid as much as possible.

✿ you were a magician travelling around the world to learn about different cultures and forests. you'd just arrived in vesuvia with your familiar, a grey squirrel named antonin. at the time you were only planning to stay for a few weeks.

✿ you were in your mid-twenties, having been travelling since you were a teenager. and volta was of course timeless, and probably didn't even know her own age.

✿ you were having a little picnic with antonin in the dark forest. you were just making antonin a chestnut sandwich, when volta appeared from pretty much out of nowhere and asked if she could have any snacks you might have. you gladly invited her to join your picnic, and pulled out an impossible amount of extra food from your bag, to her utter delight and amazement.

✿ you'd come across volta many times after during your stay in vesuvia, mostly due to your habit of finding places to picnic. and once you settled down in the city-nation, she'd often end up at your dinner table to asra's utter confusion.

✿ you don't quite remember who you were anymore, it was such a long time ago. someone different, of that you're certain, and a familiar sight to death. you're not certain you were even human yet back then.

✿ valdemar had yet to become a demon, and had just recently started their training as a doctor. vesuvia wasn't even a thing back then, and wouldn't be for centuries.

✿ you'd been bleeding out on the side of the road, though you weren't particularly worried about dying. it wasn't that permanent for you anyways. just as you started feeling faint, a lithe figure appeared above you and started trying to resuscitate you, frantically trying to convince you that you'd be fine. and you did end up being pretty fine, after passing out though.

✿ you woke up in valdemar's caravan, and ended up staying with them for a few months while you recovered. you taught them some things about magic, and even after your paths parted you saw them every once in a while during your travels.

✿ back then valdemar was a bit too focused on saving your life to pay any mind to what they thought of you, but after dragging you into their caravan they realized just how beautiful you were, even bathed in your own blood. and then you just turned out to be fascinating. you were most grateful for valdemar's help, even if it wasn't technically needed. they were so curious and kind back then, that you couldn't help but want to stay for as long as you could. some part of you wished to forever be around them.

Probs a bit concerned for you at first, I mean... You're really into that?

Well, he's not shaming. After all, he is a bit charmed by the fact that you're attracted to him at all, even in his demon form.

If he ever realizes you want to get railed in his demon form (or if you tell him), he'll probably have to think about it for awhile.

After all, he doesn't want to accidentally hurt you with his claws or teeth or anything. And he is a bit self conscious of his demon form, anyways.

But he does, admittedly, get more confident when he finally notices the way you look at him in his demon form one day. He gets very.. confident, so to speak. Maybe a bit too confident.

Maybe just confident enough to push you onto the counter and bust your back out.

Or not. Who knows. He probably just keeps drinking his wine and chilling, like always. But if you keep looking at him like that-- he is going to go insane.

After a few more moments of you just looking at him in such a way, he dosent need convincing in the slightest. He would kill to get you under him at this point.

And that's exactly what he does.

Vlastomil🐛:

Probably extremely oblivious about it and will stay that way unless you come out and say it. And when you do (or if he figures it out on his own, then in that case, props to him.) he is absolutely SHOOK.

I mean, he's just giving you his dead stare and is like, "pardon me?". He already doesn't think of himself as quite desirable even in his human form cause of his age but like him in--

,,his demon form??

He doesn't know whether to be horrified or aroused.

Probably a bit of both, really.

He keeps trying to confirm it, like, "are you sure, my love?? you've seen me in my demon form, yes? I literally get covered in slime and grow a few feet taller---"

And when it finally sinks in that, oh, you really are into it, he gets much too confident about it. It's like a switch has been flipped or something, cuz he's immediately teasing you and getting you worked up just cause he knows now that you're into it.

Like Valerius, he dosent need much convincing to completely wreck you until the sun falls and rises, I mean, if you want it so bad, who is he to deny you?

Valdemar💉:

They're practically always in their demon form (or at least pretty close to it) so don't think that they don't happen to notice the way your gaze lingers on them.

Of course they'd love to get the chance to give you what you need, but they don't want to make it that easy for you.

After all, what good is a reward without a little work?

But you don't really say anything about it. But Valdemar knows that you want them. And so they finally decide to take matters into their own hands.

They put you to work in their dungeons for hours, knowing you'll do it for them. They feel a bit bad when it's dark and you're just finishing up, so they grab you by the shoulders and lead you away from the work.

They savor the silence before they speak, their body shaking slightly before they lean down and whisper to you. "May I?"

In the end, they don't need much convincing when you're there in front of them, looking so easy to make a delicious mess out of.

Volta🍰:

Like Vlastomil, she's probably going to not even notice that you're attracted to her demon form for a while.

Like, a while.

And then one day, she just realizes it right when you were about to tell her and she is... Shocked, for lack of a better term.

She dosent quite like the way she looks in her demon form. She dosent have much control over it though and while the pain stopped long ago, she knows the bones that snap out of her skin and the melting bits of her flesh might not be that attractive.

But you like it? You think it's hot?

She's... Flattered, really.

Probably doesn't need too much convincing. Like, as long as you reassure her that her sharp bones probably won't poke you and that you don't mind the melty bits of her skin, she is completely down to fuck you.

She kind of thinks you deserve it, anyway, for being so cute.

Vulgora⚔️:

Knows that you think their demon form is hot, but they won't do a damn thing unless you say it.

After all, they want to hear you say it.

They will definitely act smug when you finally say it. If you're very shy and just insinuate it, they'll take that too. Their endgame is to give you what you want, anyways

They definitely don't need an ego boost with how self confident they are, but it definitely gives them one anyway knowing that you think their demon form is hot.

Oh, but they're not gonna just come out and fuck you without you asking them to.

And even if you do, they'll be all sly about it, like, "ohh, i don't know, should i?" And they'll only stop when they see you getting frustrated.

They're giving you what you want in the end when they toss you on the bed and their bones snap into much taller, unnatural forms.

They just needed you to convince them, really.

What The Courtiers Would Smell Of ☆

(These are my personal opinions) (feel free to request any headcannons ect about the courtiers or main 6)

Vlademar

Either nothing with a slight hint of iron or

A strong smell of hand sanitizer. Like to the point it burns your nose.

Vulgora

A mix of sweat and really musky mens aftershave.

Or they would smell of smoke not cigarette smoke but fire smoke (yk)

Vlastomil

As strange as it is to say I think he'd smell like them slimes in a can.

Like the ones that they manufacture in a factory that are always slimy and not rlly fun to play with.

Volta

Volta would 100% smell really sweet.

I have a feeling that she would douse herself in them manufactured marshmallow body sprays.

Either that or that smell when you've been around cooking food and it clings to your clothing.

Valerius

This man would smell like rain and blackcurrant

Or saffron. There is no in-between.

Masquerade with the courtiers

volta

Volta absolutely loves the Masquerade! Specially all the delicious food, but enjoying it with her special someone sounds even more fun. She is pretty nervous to go with you, so she spends the week prior asking questions and trying to figure out what you’re both going to do.

When you walk in with your outfit, it takes her a moment to react. Then she starts bawling because you look so beautiful, now you have to help her do her makeup again. The whole night she’s holding your hand, she’s pretty small and can get lost easily, but even if it weren’t for that she’s dragging you to eat all of the food. You both enjoy a degustation of various colourful dishes that she barely takes time to actually enjoy, they’re all just so good! Just remind her not to chew with her mouth open.

“Hmph! S/O, you haff to try thiff!”

vlastomil

Oh my worm, Vlastomil is so excited for the Masquerade. He is a bit disappointed his ideas for a worm room were turned down, but you’re sure you can help him be a bit less upset about it, you two can have plenty of wormless fun. Though he is a bit better at hiding it than Volta, he is a bit worried about what you may think of him at your first masquerade together.

Those worries all leave when he sees you walk into the room, however. He is grinning a lot, and doesn’t hesitate to shower you in compliments, and of course cover you in kisses. You have to remind him both of your makeup looks need to last the whole night. The rest of the evening goes smoothly, although he won’t stop showing you off to everyone he talks to. He’s just so proud of his partner.

“Have you SEEN how delightful my darlingest S/O looks tonight?? Oh, my little wormling don’t give me that look, it’s true!”

vulgora

Out of everyone in this list, Vulgora is probably the most excited for the Masquerade. They’re like a big puppy, except it’s a puppy that yells at people because everything needs to be perfect. They usually don’t care too much for organising the event, but it’s their first masquerade with THEIR partner, of course it has to be the best masquerade ever!

When you walk in with your outfit they just stare at you. They’re watching you with wide eyes, a blush spread across their face. It’s not often that Vulgora is soft, but they kind of forget about being angry when they see how gorgeous you look.

Once that initial gawking is out of the way, they make sure to compliment you. While avoiding eye contact and blushing a lot, that is, but still. When you compliment them back, they melt.

The rest of the night is spent with you wandering around and being the life of the party, Vulgora manages to set one of the tables on fire, but it wouldn’t be your partner without breaking anything.

“You uh- AHEHM. You look very pretty. H- HEY, DON’T LAUGH! OR I’M NOT DANCING WITH YOU!”

valerius

Although he may not admit it, Valerius loves the Masquerade. He’s usually a refined person, and although he hates having to mingle with the commoners, the masquerade is his opportunity to get absolutely wasted and have no consequences. Usually that’s about it for him, but because it’s his first masquerade with you, he actually wants to remember it.

He always spends a lot of time getting himself ready beforehand, which means you’re ready before he is, this man takes forever. When he finally walks out to see you waiting outside, he’s not able to hide his flustered reaction. Though internally he is very giddy, he simply rolls his eyes and tells you to hurry up. He does spare you a few compliments once you’re alone, though.

Valerius isn’t much of a dancer, he rather keep watch, but when a slow song starts to play he can’t resist to dance with you. Mainly to make sure no one else does, you’re his after all, and these peasants need to know.

“You look okay, I guess… Come on, let’s get going. …Fine, you look perfect. Shut up.”
