My fave Ron Weasley headcanons:

He is absolutely the mother/father of the group. Even of his siblings. If anyone’s going to notice when someone is sick or not eating or upset it’s going to be Ron.

Because of that he is driven insane every single fall at the fact that every summer Harry loses all the weight Ron gets him to gain during the school year. Harry knows (and loves) that there will be a minimum of a week of Ron clucking and fussing and shoving food in his hands.

Ron is the stay at home parent. He loves taking care of his kids full time and cooking delicious meals for Hermione when she comes home from work.

NO ONE is more proud of hermione’a accomplishments than Ron is. And he takes every single moment to brag about her.

Because of hermione’s work and the fact that he’s the stay at home parent, most ppl think that Hermione is the dominant in the relationship. And they’d be dead wrong. Ron is the only person Hermione can totally turn her brain off with and he absolutely runs the house. He is her safe space.

Ron is the best at conflict resolution in the whole family. And they all go to him to fix spats.

Ron can find common ground with literally anyone. Even when Hermione takes him out to the muggle world he finds people to talk to.

And we have our first Ron and Hermione moment in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

Ronnie is a little eager to get this letter from Hermione and it sounds like they were writing to each other over the course of the summer and why is he shocked to hear that Hermione is elbows deep in her school work? He did just spent most of the previous school year with her. She wouldn’t be Hermione if she wasn’t focused on her studies.

Now where are the people who says that Ron is a horrible friend? Why do you think that? Is it because you never had a friend risk everything to come to you in the middle of the night to save you from absolute hell?

Ron didn’t have to do this but he did. I’m sure Hermione would have went along for the ride but she didn’t. Ron did. Unless her and Ron had a secret conversation through letter which is a very possible but I like to think that Ron did this all on his own or spent weeks with Fred and George planning on making his heroics come to light. Not even three chapters in and Ron is already showing his Gryffindor qualities.

Let’s be honest here, this is when we truly fell in love with Ron Weasley. How can any one say that he is not smart when he is truly intelligent in his own way?

He managed to keep Harry and Hermione safe from harm throughout the whole game and even decided to sacrifice himself to allow Harry to go forward on the mission. This is one of the many reasons why Ron is my favorite character in Harry Potter.

Another thing, he is only twelve year old and he is able to play Wizard Chess at this level. Like wow.
