Location:  The Ten Thousand Stalls Zone:  The Doman Enclave, Othard Coords: 7.9, 5.9

Notes

This place gets nicer and nicer the more work you put into it -- which isn’t difficult. This area of the Doman Enclave transforms from a barren ruined yard to a grerat hangout spot for a bite to eat or a game of Triple Triad!

The catch: you’ll need to progress the Stormblood story because there are a few prerequisites (which you can find here). Pro tip: save your Allagan pieces from quests etc to fund your efforts.

Ohhh, this was an exciting find while I was grinding out FATEs! Just past the stronghold sits a whole-ass ship just waiting for some piratical RP adventures. It’s nestled in the cave formation under the cliff. Think The Inferno, One-Eyed Willy’s ship from The Goonies.

Notes

Even though it’s a busy area, this hostel makes for a great RP spot for anything from casual meetups to more clandestine deals over a glass of sake.

Tons of tables and chairs over the space of three floors, packaged in the clean minimalism Hingashi aesthetics is known for.

I get quite excited when I stumble upon a place with perchable platforms, and Foremast is one such place! All kinds of bridges, landings and jetties for your piratical (or lawful nautical) needs!

Notes Neat little spot near a train track and station (Y no trains?!). The NPCs within are all unnamed, and seems like a relatively quiet spot good for RP.

There’s something I really like about the giant deck on the front of one of the buildings, and the crates set up like seats in front suggest that the resident miners use it for a make-shift stage or meeting spot.

“Hinterland Hamlet”

Notes

For a game with waaaay too many closed doors, this place is an RPers paradise! It is a quest hub, however it’s not distractingly busy with traffic, nor are the NPCs very intrusive.

Perfect spot for a military outpost (obviously), but some of the empty rooms could easily function as proxy locations for other places like Ishgard or Mor Dhona.

Nestled within the delightfully eerie Dimwold, this is one of the few NPC-less, enterable houses in the game that I’ve found. Perfect for hunters, hermits, or just your regular everyday Rhalgr-lovin’ Highlander.
