I hope you can understand that this isn’t me saying she was right to put Aegon on the throne…I hate Aegon and I definitely do not think he should be king…but, this is me saying, I understand why she might’ve believed that Viserys wanted Aegon on the throne…

Either way, I’m not here to argue, I see your point but I respectfully disagree; I believe there are many factors playing into what lead to Alicent believing that Viserys wanted Aegon on the throne, and those two conversations were a part of those factors, soooo yeah 😭

What’s astonishing to me is how the things said to any character on team black is taken as “omg there’s so much meaning in what they’re being told, like this is so important to remember because it’ll definitely effect the future” but when a character on team green is told things y’all basically think “it’s not that deep, I don’t see why they’d be affected by it and why it would influence their future decisions and actions”

For example: when Viserys was saying TO ALICENT that he thought he made a mistake naming Rhaenyra heir, then years later just straight up mumbled an out of context prophecy before he died… I don’t understand how y’all act like those scenes have no impact on Alicent…especially after she’s manipulated by her father to think her children are in danger because Rhaenyra is heir.

I suggest at the very least, take a social sciences class, maybe then you’ll learn that when things are said to a person, that person remembers those words and takes those words into consideration whenever anything hinting at their validity happens.

I think the biggest issue with the HotD fandom is the way many fans are so “this or that and no in between”

And I mean this from every aspect, even down to characters that clearly have sm nuance.

For example, the way people are expected to only like either Rhaenyra OR Alicent…

LIKE…what do you mean you want me to dislike interesting characters that have shown the ways the patriarchy affects women with different personalities and stations in different ways…NO I WILL LIKE BOTH. THANK YOU. BYE.

My bestie has written another literary masterpiece

I lay awake with my tears seeping from my eyes. Creating a pond around my bed. Wishing that I could be drowned in the makeshift pond of my tears. As I sat and realized. I don't know romantic love. I don't know what it is, I don't know who it will be. The man I loved was simply an outline of what I desired or now that I think about it. What I thought I desired. I don't know why I find it hard to fall in love with people now. I'm too scared, I don't feel worthy, and even when I'm told im pretty. I don't feel that I'm pretty enough to be loved from a man's perspective. What if I never love anyone again? The same way I did before which was, of course, a lie to begin with. And what if no one sees me as someone they want to get to know and settle down with? What do I do then? How do I live then? And I know we're in a day and age where love is. Especially romantic love is not needed to live a sustainable life. However I desire it, I want it and I want to be seeped into it in its entirety when I find the right person..... If I find the right person.
