Why did tumblr just notify me!!!😭 thank you guys so much for the tag y’all got me like 😩🥰🥹. I love this tiny fandom so much the fact that there is still being content shared is something to be so proud of. To the 15 people of this fandom I love you guys so much thank you for giving me a place to brainrot over this very niche fandom. The world did this book series a disservice my sleeping on it so hard. Happy 2024 Everyone!

2023 has been an absolutely amazing year for me on Tumblr! I started out small in another community (which surprisingly created my most popular post), and then went to being one of the bigger creators in another community (that’s what you get for joining a itty bitty fandom, why can’t you just be like TF2, Unwind?!).

Anyway, more about me, I started writing Recalled all the way back in June this year on Wattpad. (Don’t try looking for it, I never posted it.) It was absolute shit back then, and although there are still some things I’d like to change about the uploaded version, it’s far better than what stayed to the drafts. I want to thank all of you who still stayed around in the unwind community this year, and and special thanks to myself, @heliads, and @lazysailor for the amazing fics we’ve created this year, whether they come after, within, or an another universe of the main storyline.

I’d also like to thank @bopeisdope as I’m pretty sure they’re the reason I have a following in the first place.

I’m writing this the night posting chapter 22 of Recalled, I’m not sure if I’ll be getting another one before the new year, but if I do then I guess I’ve just surpassed my expectations.

Alrighty then, let’s make the new year I good one!

THIS THISSSSSSS ughhhh it just makes me so… this is EXACTLY what makes Starkey’s death so tragic for me. Not even for Starkey well kinda, obviously but that’s a whole separate rant. But for Connor, the fact that he physically couldn’t use Roland’s arm to kill him. He felt Starkey’s windpipe in that hand and still couldn’t muster the strength to do it, no matter how much he tried. He knew he had to do it with his own which makes this so much sadder. Connor, the boy who was better than Roland in every way a killer. Starkey’s death entirely responsible on him and *his* hand. The fact that he’ll know for the rest of his life that Roland could never do it but he can. It was him and his own body and nobody else. He knows why he had to do it, he knows it was the best option for everyone, but it still went against everything he believes in. Something that even Roland couldn’t do. I know for a fact he had tears in his eyes and dripping down his face as he was apologizing/ suffocating Starkey. Mourning both Starkey’s life and a part of himself he’ll never get back after following through with the murder.

that scene in the happy jacks bathroom makes me violently ill everytime i want to start screaming and ripping my hair out connor and rolands relationship makes me insane

roland and always being someone in control. he feels more comfortable when everything is in his hands. he feels more comfortable when everyone just listens, even if he's wrong or it isn't right what he's doing. he's never been one to admit that he's wrong because he can't be wrong. he can't be in the same boat as everyone else-- weaker and just less, he can't be (which leads interesting implications to his relationship with his parents-- probably had a pretty bad childhood considering).

and then he meets connor.

connor and always being a fighter. connor and just knowing that theres something about roland he does not like, and sticking with that. connor and never going with the lie because he does not choose to believe them. connor who roland knows is a better person, a better man than him in every way, and it makes him sick.

that scene in the bathroom drives me INSANE because they're both out of their minds. they're both hurting and terrified of whats (inevitably) going to happen to them. and the fact this is one of their only fights where roland has the upper hand, where it seems he might actually go through with a plan of his, only to stop at the end with tears in his eyes makes me ILL i want to FREAK OUT and atp theyre both fucking sobbing its such a crazy scene it makes me insane

Dear Unwind community can we PLEASE talk about how terrifying Risa’s makeover was for a split second. Neil really had me there for a moment. I love how that scene was a juxtaposition of Audrey’s good nature and kindness coupled with Risa’s survival instincts and anxiety. The moment she put the restraints on to change Risa’s eye color and she starts to change her mind and fight it while Audrey just kept going with it really spooked me I was like NOOOO NOT BY THE HAIR STYLIST NOT LIKE THIS!!! Because in that moment I had no idea if she was actually a good person or if she was about to capture her and sell her out. Poor Risa and the rest always having to look over their shoulders at all times. Their cortisol levels must be crazy.
