Omgaaaaawd, I've been SO GOOD about remembering the boys don't have the Impala in this season, but I completely brain-sharted all over the place with this latest Every First Time entry. They're not even in a car, they're in a fucking truck, and I just completely forgot. It wouldn't be so bad if the entire fic didn't take place in the goddamn car, but no, it's specifically Baby-centric fluff. Chuck dammit all. I'm trying to forgive myself because they start off in a black car and by the end they're towing with the black truck but man. Oh man. What a fuck up. I don't even think what I wrote in that fic is physically possible in a truck cabin. And I wouldn't have even noticed if a comment hadn't pointed it out (positively, mind you!!), mentioning Baby. This isn't a continuity error, it's a continuity disaster, I'm gonna go put my head through a wall, k thnx.

Duuuude, yeah, it is probably an ADHD thing. It's so hard to Get on a Role that when you do your body's like, "I need sustenance/rest!" and it's like, "Excuse me? This was your idea!" so you gotta power through! And if you don't power through, it's either stare at a wall for five hours or do the completely unrelated thing that doesn't need doing at all, but by god is it interesting!!

A bad habit I’m trying to break: getting upset with myself for having bodily needs and limitations. Like, I know I’m prone to hypoglycemia and don’t do well when I don’t eat, but it’s still hard not to be frustrated when I have to stop and prepare food for myself rather than just powering through and finishing whatever task I’m currently fixated on. Similarly, I know I’m prone to overstimulation and will be absolutely miserable at the amusement park/Renn Faire/museum if i don’t sit down and take a break after a few hours, but I HATE having to do it and I tend to berate myself for not being “strong” enough to tough it out. Even though that literally would defeat the purpose of a fun day out 😂😂

Oh noooo! That sounds rough. I know I have similar issues with taking breaks when I'm out and about. It feels like you're somehow "wasting your day" if you're not spending every single second Doing the Activity, but I have to remember that if I'm miserable by the end, that spoils the whole thing way more than just relaxing for a few minutes would. Doesn't help that I also get major FOMO because one time I was on vacation with my family and I was wiped so I went back to the hotel room when they went to dinner and they came back and it turned out there was an opera singer who gave an improv performance while they were eating... My chronic Delicate Victorian Maiden syndrome got in the way of enjoying something a Delicate Victorian Maiden most certainly would have enjoyed!!

Oh, shit, Every First Time broke 250,000 words and I missed it! That's more than one whole East of Eden! Now, I've never read this Steinbeck novel, but there are several towns in the United States named Eden and I'm positive that Sam and Dean have been not only been east, but west, north, and south of several, if not all, of these places. Eat that Steinbeck, you commie bastard!

So in honor of this fucking post getting over 500 notes, I figured I'd make a pinned intro post for all the people who stumbled across me accidentally.

Howdy! My name's Ani (pronounced an-eye) and I'm a fanfiction writer! While I do dabble in other fandoms, the vast, VAST majority of the content here is in honor of the 15-year-long nightmare known as The CW's Supernatural. Even though I've only started writing consistently recently, I've actually been watching the show since day one! While technically speaking I'm a multishipper, 95% of what is shared here is going to be wincest content. That's right, wincest. As in Sam-slash-Dean. Together. (See what I did there???) While I love both of the boys, I have strong (and occasionally bitter) Sam-girl tendencies. You have been warned.

I'm probably most well known for Every First Time, a series of unconnected one-shot fanfics where the entries are all first time wincest fics for every episode of Supernatural (plus pre- and post-series). I'm currently in Season Seven. Every entry is shared here on my Tumblr. Entry content ratings range from G - E. I try my best to update every 2 - 5 days.
