Could Jenna Coleman someday appear on Dead Boy Detectives?
This is a follow-up to an earlier speculation post I made on the subject of the new TV series Dead Boy Detectives. It is not a spoiler, really, as it involves information apparently revealed by its trailer (and confirmed apparently early on in its first episode). Still, for courtesy, I will put a spoiler break here:
With the confirmation (again, via its trailer) that Dead Boy Detectives is set in the same continuity as The Sandman TV series, as indicated by a character/actor crossover, plus the fact the original comic book characters were tied in with Sandman (though initially more connected to Doom Patrol, I believe), that really does open the question of whether a future DBD episode might conceivably have a guest appearance by Jenna Coleman as Johanna Constantine. I won't name the character that appears in the DBD first episode, but if they (pronoun not intended as clue btw) can appear, then that totally opens the door for Jenna to cross over, just as, say, Melissa Benoist appeared as Supergirl in a few Flash episodes and the actor who played Kid Flash (whose name escapes me) joined the Legends of Tomorrow for a while. And of course Matt Ryan's John Constantine had his own TV series and I think appeared on Arrow before joining Legends.
This assumes of course that Jenna hasn't already filmed an appearance (I do not know if all episodes of DBD season 1 came out at once - it's on Netflix so could be that or weekly release), or that DBD (which, ironically, is a reimagining of an earlier iteration starring David Tennant's son that was rolled into the Doom Patrol series as a "backdoor pilot" - which itself had an arm's length connection to the Arrowverse thanks to a reference in Crisis on Infinite Earths) continues beyond its first season. (Full disclosure: I had never heard of Dead Boy Detectives before a few months ago, and I have no idea whether or not the new series is actually any good.)
Time will tell if we ever get a Johanna Constantine spin-off series (a lot will depend on whether the planned John Constantine series at HBO ever gets off the ground), but having her appear in DBD wouldn't be a bad bonus.

Holy shit, they got Voyager 1 working again!
15 billion miles away and NASA was able to tweak code packages on one of the onboard computers and it worked and Voyager 1 is sending signals back to earth for the first time since November.

All Clara-era scripts now online at BBC Writers Room
It's possible it's been this way for a while, but the BBC Writers' Room website has done a massive upload of Doctor Who scripts to its Script Library in PDF format.
Basically, every script for every episode produced since 2005 is now online, as well as complete scripts for Torchwood, Sarah Jane Adventures, Class, and some other spin-off works like the animated episodes. Even the BBC Radio produced Torchwood audio dramas (which predated Big Finish getting the TW licence) that were made to promote I think Children of Earth (which is included too for Capaldi completists). More than 200 in total.
Of course this also includes all the Series 7, 8 and 9 episodes featuring Clara, including some alternate shooting and "picture lock" scripts.
A number of these have been online for a while, but a number haven't been previously. And it's interesting to see what's in these scripts. As noted by another poster, the infamous "I love you" is not in the script for Mummy on the Orient Express, but in the script for Before the Flood Clara's plea "If you love me in any way you'll come back" IS (though the "I don't want to think about that" part does explicitly reference Danny in a sentence that was removed when the scene was shot).
I also note with interest that the Doctor Who scripts are divided into two sections: one covering 2005-2022 and the other covering 2023 onwards, adding credence to the reports that the BBC are treating the current iteration as a restart, not a continuation per se.
Anyway, head to the Script Library and start digging!
CORRECTION: Not all the nuWho era scripts are up. Only a couple of scripts from Series 1 (Eccleston) have been posted as yet.

I somehow managed to live through the last decade or so without ever seeing this charming online ad for Audi featuring both Spocks (at the time, anyway) - Leonard Nimoy and Zachary Quinto. Seeing Leonard rocking out to a certain song he is (in)famous for recording back in the 60s (which should have been used by Peter Jackson in one of his movies, fight me) is worth the price of admission. It's only a shame James Doohan had passed away a number of years before this as there could have been a great gag involving Scotty at the end. Oh well!
PS. I want that 3D chess app!

The thumbnail might be a clue as to why I'm posting this link. As the headline says, the BBC First network is going to be added to New Zealand platforms beginning in October 2024, with Jenna Coleman's The Jetty spotlighted as one of the marquee shows.
So a couple of things to unpack here:
First, a possible timeframe for release of The Jetty. Of course it will likely air on the main BBC before, but October 2024 appears to be when NZ fans might expect to see it.
Second, if The Jetty is airing on BBC First, this might well mean that other countries that have their own versions of the BBC First network, such as Canada, may see it there too! I do not know if BBC First exists in the US (BBC America is considered separate from the BBC), but if it does that might be where The Jetty will air (I was speculating PBS at one point). Of course, BBC America does air BBC programming, obviously, so that's also where it may turn up. (At least I hope so; although we do get the occasional DVD/Blu-ray release, if The Jetty ends up on something like Netflix odds are we won't get one in North America, which is what happened with The Serpent that got a UK DVD release because it aired on BBC, but there is not expected to be one in North America because over here it was only on Netflix.

Oh man this got me in the feels. Apparently it is possible to hurt a robot's feelings. Of course this is a scripted moment that randomly occurs in the start menu of Detroit: Become Human featuring the game's "host" (Chloe herself appears only once or twice in the game itself); very few people choose to friendzone her; you can see why it's not a very popular decision (I had to answer Yes when I played, but someone bit the bullet to show what happened). Whoever did the CG did an amazing job showing an android's heart breaking a little. And this is a minor moment; without spoiling the stakes get a lot deeper as the game progresses (what you see here is only a minor spoiler, trust me).
Just wait till advanced chatbot AI catches up with stuff like this and we end up with "games" in which such moments are no longer scripted or pre-recorded and the CG is procedurally generated (meaning there won't be a human programmer involved in creating facial expressions, mouth movements, etc. They've already got AI-created voices; we're long past that, though Chloe of course was the work of a voice actress in this game) . Ever see the movie "Her" with Joaquin Phoenix and Scarlett Johansson? It's gonna get pretty crazy in a few years.

This is great. This was from what used to be called Space Channel here in Canada (it's now CTV Sci-Fi). And what makes this even funnier is it's gotten WORSE (well, for Trek-haters) as Space/Sci-Fi is one of the only places on the planet that also airs the nuTrek series (Discovery, Lower Decks, Strange New Worlds, Prodigy) that otherwise stream in the rest of the word. And this week in particular not only are they airing the "original 5", but the new season of Discovery AND they're replaying Lower Decks. I think the only Trek that to date has never aired on CTV Sci-Fi is the 1970s animated series!

I've been revisiting older PS4 games of late (I don't have a PS5 yet and am not likely to get one anytime soon). I recently had a great time replaying Horizon: Forbidden West for the first time in a couple years. Debating right now about whether to do another playthrough of Bioshock Infinite or Detroit: Become Human. Both were incredible games with incredible storylines and characters, it's hard to choose.
