The butch lesbian/trans man "funky printed button down" stereotype is true but you must understand that the men's section of so many clothing stores is a bleak and miserable place. Clothing manufacturers are simply convinced that no one who wears men's clothes wants anything besides the most boring outfits possible. Often stripes are the most exciting it gets. If you want to wear clothing designed for men but happen to like "color" and "joy" in your life then often the funky printed button down or the hawaiian shirt are simply your only options, especially off the clearance rack.

reworking the face tattoos for more traditional look. (And while I may enjoy playing with the irony) It was looking a bit too cardassian anyway. I kind of like the look of the other one better but a tribute to traditional tattoos wins seeing as the whole point of this redesign was to build a better character rep for an indigenous person than the original disaster writing that was Chakotay (sorry trekkies only not so much - the character deserved better development than he got and we all know it) I am not the person to write a better rep for any Native American characters as I am not a member of any of those cultures so Filipino Chakotay is spawned I guess. If I was bothering to make a legitimate character instead of fan based chaos I would consult with people better suited than I for even that but alas...tis but a side project created from brain worms.  

(with and without the barong. Favoring the barong version tbh)
