Now, I know that other people have made similar connections between the Wachowski family protecting Green Hill for the past fifty years and Project Shadow but I'd like to plant my own theory about how I think Sonic the Hedgehog 3 will go down.
So, while the timeline isn't specifically clear, I was able to pinpoint exactly when Project Shadow was taking place: the 1970s. Do you know what else was taking place during the 1970s?
The Cold War. Project Shadow was built as a supersoldier to help GUN during the Cold War.
Tumblr media
However, after GUN becomes paranoid of Gerald seeing Shadow as a member of his family rather than the weapon he made, they make the decision to invade Space Colony Ark.
And amongst the GUN soldiers is none other than Tom Wachowski's grandfather, a young, hopeful man in his late twenties to early thirties who has hopes of making the world a better place.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
During the raid, Mr. Wachowski suddenly sees Project Shadow running with a shaking, pale twelve-year-old girl in a blue dress and thinking the worst, decides to go after the two, worried about the girl's safety.
Tumblr media
However, it's only after a reckless, fatal decision that Mr. Wachowski learns the truth: Maria Robotnik really was an innocent child who was already suffering from an illness. And he took whatever future she may have had prematurely.
All because of the government's paranoia of Project Shadow.
Now disillusioned by the organization he joined to bring world peace and his dreams shattered, Mr. Wachowski makes the decision to resign from GUN and move to a small, countryside town to completely start over.
This town happens to be Green Hill, and he becomes their Sheriff over time, earning a reputation for being a likeable, loving yet protective Sheriff of their town.
However, despite becoming the Sheriff, Mr. Wachowski knows that whatever good he may do in this small town will never bring back the innocent twelve-year-old who stood defiantly in front of an escape pod.
Becoming embittered, scarred and almost broken, Mr. Wachowski only finds the mental strength to carry on would be his son (Tom's father---whom I'll call Michael). Judging by the fact that Tom seems to be in his mid-to-late thirties by the first film, Tom's father Michael would've likely been anywhere from a toddler to eight years old at most by the time GUN raided Space Colony Ark.
In the following years afterward, Mr. Wachowski never once reveals to his wife or family what actually happened at the Ark, knowing that they'd never forgive him for taking the life of an already sickly child. He only keeps a small diary that contains his thoughts over the next 50 years, thoughts of grief, regret, and horror over what he had done.
It's shortly after his grandson Tom is born that Mr. Wachowski passes away, taking his secret to the grave.
And it's not until after the events of Sonic 2, when Tom and Maddie find Mr. Wachowski's journal and the secret he's kept for all these years, forever shattering Tom's view of his grandfather.
And now, Project Shadow is coming for them (I mean, his glare during the final seconds of the second film says it all)....

Most of these traits are literally me in a nutshell: I keep my room dark most of the time because I don't like bright lights, the slightest unexpected noise causes me to flip out (which results in my noise-canceling headphones coming out), I like soft pajamas because their soft sensations make me comfortable, I'm too quiet and don't talk too much unless it's people I'm comfortable with, I have trouble making eye contact, and I find myself rambling about different subjects to people once I grow comfortable with them....
the opposite sides of the autism spectrum are so rarely talked about.
hypersensitive and easily overstimulated ? how about hyposensitive/sensory seeking and easily understimulated ?
expressionless and monotone ? how about overexpressive ?
too quiet and introverted or doesn’t talk much ? how about really extroverted and talks too much and has no trouble at all coming up to strangers ?
little to no eye contact ? how about making so much eye contact that the other person becomes uncomfortable ?
for a long time i thought i couldn’t be autistic because i didn’t experience the stereotypical traits, apparently i just experienced the opposite sides of the spectrum. all autistic people are valid, even if their autism presents differently :3

I don't know why, but I feel that for some reason, all three of these kids would be really good friends.

I really hope to get something very similar to this in Sonic the Hedgehog 3: flashbacks of Shadow being happy and joyful, almost like a parallel of Sonic, before GUN came in.
This would add so much to Shadow and Sonic's encounters with each other: Sonic would remind Shadow so much of himself
something about the project shadow short film portraying pre ark incident shadow as this wide-eyed, playful child is so delightfully tragic knowing what becomes of him later on. theres so much wonder and vulnerability about him compared to the shadow we are more familiar with that its almost uncanny, and seeing this snapshot into his life before it was torn to shreds makes his character even more compelling. sonic 3 dont let us downnnn

To be honest, looking at Season 22 now, I still have no idea how Christina Wilson went from surviving her season to being Gordon's right hand.
I was recently rewatching Season 10, and oh my goodness.....Robyn and Kimmie were beyond headaches, always blaming Barbie for little to no reason and getting into petty catfights. Tiffany should've been eliminated on episode 10, after telling Gordon she practically didn't care.
The fact Christina managed to even survive season 10 is a miracle.
the biggest dick energy is the season 10 winner of hell’s kitchen being one of the most successful out of all the winners, working alongside gordon ramsay and managing all his las vegas restaraunts AND coming back as a hell’s kitchen sous chef, even for the all-stars seasons where she has to be in charge of some of her past competitors
also she’s a lesbian which is an added bonus, LMAO

I don't get why they didn't go with this look. It looks much more magical and ethereal ✨️ ✨️ 😍.

Halle Bailey's screen test looks for The Little Mermaid Camille Friend (Ariel's hair designer): A wig going over [Halle's hair] just never looked right. It was more important keeping the look of [Halle] being an African American Ariel and not trying to change her. Halle Bailey: I was just really pleased with Rob Marshall and John DeLuca's decision to keep my natural hair but also add some loose tresses to it so [it looks] more mermaid-y as well. I was really pleased that I got to keep that piece of myself.

When it comes to the first Halloween 1978 and its immediate sequel Halloween II 1981, the two films are great on their own right. Halloween II (1981) actually ends in a way where it doesn't need any timeline films to continue the story of Michael Myers.
Seriously, after watching the disaster that was Halloween Ends (2022) and how Michael was basically pushed to the sidelines in favor of Corey, it's made me appreciate Halloween II (1981) much more. Even more so, each timeline starts out with a great first film--Halloween 4, H20, and Halloween 2018. And yet, each timeline torpedoes both the second and third films into something unrecognizable.
When it comes to Halloween II (1981), it manages to pick up perfectly where the first film left off and perfectly highlights what miscommunication can do to people, seeing what happened to Ben Tramer. The fact that it takes place in a hospital with dark shadows and lighting also scores massive points with me. The whole time Michael was in the hospital, I felt goosebumps and even was on the edge of my seat as he entered the NICU with a bunch of newborn infants.
Tumblr media
Now, when it comes to the twist of the film, in all honesty, I find the twist not to be as bad as people think. I find it much more scarier than anything else.
If you think about it, by the morning of October 31st, 1981, Laurie Strode was just a normal everyday teenager, concerned with her babysitting duties and frequently exasperated and amused by the antics of her friends Lynda and Annie. In her mind, everything is perfect--she has a good job as a babysitter, she has two best friends, her life is going normal...
Tumblr media
However, by the time midnight rolls around, Laurie goes through some serious trauma: hearing her friends making concerning noises and finding out what's happened to them and the fact she couldn't protect them...
Then, this mysterious masked man shows up behind her, wielding a knife, and she has to fight for her life. Someone she probably thought would never happen, given how peaceful the neighborhood was.
Now, let's go to Halloween II (1981), just hours after her nightmare began...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Within hours of her nightmare first beginning, she has to go through being in the hospital by herself, and her parents can't even be there because the news of her attack is still very new. It's likely very possible that both Morgan and Pamela Strode likely didn't get word of the attack until the phone-lines had been repaired.
While at the hospital, she finds out the identity of her attacker and completely panics, her mind going a million miles in each direction.
Finally succumbing to her exhaustion, this is where I think her repressed memories come int9 play.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The first thing I want to know is, "Who tells this to a child? I'm not your mother?" That's not the way to tell a child, especially one with a family history like Laurie's, that they're adopted. For me, this somewhat implies that the relationship between Laurie and her adoptive mother was strained at the very least before the events of Halloween 1978.
For those who don't know, the Halloween Chaos comics does shed some insight about what happened to the Myers parents after October 31st, 1963, and it is nothing short of heartbreaking: as a result of Michael's trial, Donald Myers starts drinking heavily while Edith Myers sinks into a depression. It doesn't take long for Donald Myers to ban any mention of Michael. Something that's also somewhat overlooked is that Laurie was only two years old when she lost her sister Judith Myers.
Not wanting to listen to her husband, Edith Myers does end up taking little three-year-old Cynthia (this was Laurie's birth name before the Strode family legally changed it) to see Michael at Smith's Grove on a few occasions. This is my interpretation, but I do believe the reason Edith took her to see Michael is because deep down, the poor woman was hoping that seeing his youngest sister would help bring back the little boy Michael once was.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not only does bringing her to see Michael not succeed, but one day, little Cynthia babbles about Michael in front of Donald. This man proceeds to beat little Cynthia/Laurie (who's only three at most) until she stops talking. This is when I believe little Laurie started repressing her memories of her biological family due to her father beating her, her mother's depression, and being emotionally neglected at just two/three years old.
With this backstory in mind, this twist becomes more heartbreaking if you think about it. In just a span of few hours, Laurie goes from a normal teenage girl to someone with a dark family history she was completely unprepared for, someone whose name isn't even Laurie, someone whose brother hurt her in more ways than her adoptive family's secrets ever could...
And as if things couldn't get worse, Laurie is given no time to mentally process this reveal and the knowledge that her whole life has been a lie because her life is immediately in danger once more.
Tumblr media
Even more so, when Michael comes after her in the boiler room, when Laurie calls out his name, it's full of confusion and hurt, almost as if she can't understand why. Why is her brother hurting her?
Tumblr media
So, while some may find Halloween II (1981) a bit underwhelming, I think it's a pretty good sequel to the original Halloween 1978 film on its own right and concludes the story in a satisfying way that doesn't even need the other timeline films to be satisfied.

Since the film will come out tomorrow for me, I'm likely going to spend the entire day off of Tumblr, TV-Tropes, and any other spoiler revealing website.
I want to go into this film, knowing only what the trailers and tv-spots have shown me. I want to be surprised, I want to be scared fully without any spoiler knowledge.
Since the fnaf movie releases in many countries today and tomorrow, I’d like to remind everyone that not all of us were so lucky.
With that, I’d like to ask you to not spoil anything, until at least the next week when most of the community would have already watched the movie.
This is a big day for all of us and many of us have been waiting for this for almost 10 years now. Myself included. And I’d really hate to have it spoiled. Thank you <3
