To say that it has been a tremendous honor would be an understatement. I am immeasurably proud of what this account has become and it’s due to every single one of you. Your passion for this account was the driving force at the end and I can’t thank this fandom enough for being a rock in the storm of all of this.

I began this account as both a love letter to a story that has consumed me since I was first introduced to it, but it was also created to prove that I could sustain something for this long and this intensely immersive. During this past year alone I have been dealt hands that were not always the best, but this account kept me above water, even through the many sleepless nights. It energized and empowered me through all of your retweets/re-blogs, likes, and comments.

I also want to highlight and thank all 40 artists that gave me permission to share their incredible work. The scenes came alive due to their immense talent and exceptional hard work. Every artist was kind and considerate, incredibly understanding and just as invested in this project as I was. I truly can’t thank them enough for their trust and support.

Thanks also need to be delivered to my wife and best friend who, without their constant push and patience, none of this would have happened. They were my first followers, my biggest fans, and were Abandoned so many times during the course of this and yet encouraged me to keep going. Maybe now we’ll finally have time to play all those games we’ve downloaded over the last year :).

I also want to thank Nora for…. so many things. For the creation of this story, for the encouragement when this account became so big YOU even saw it, and for becoming a dear friend in the process. You’ve been an inspiration throughout this in more ways than I can say.

over the past few days i've been totally falling down a trans neil rabbit hole thanks to some AMAZING fics i've found on ao3

i am cis btw, so i know that trans neil probably does not mean as much to me as it does to a lot of other people but still! thinking of neil having to go through his life on the run, and his mother not letting him transition, so by the time he meets the foxes, he's only been on hormone therapy for around 6 months to a year is just 😭😭😭 not to mention how beautifully these people are writing andrew's acceptance of neil

i may be biased considering my preferences for sex scenes i read but i take so much comfort in my idea that andrew and neil make soft, sweet love a lot more often than they bang get a quick one out

that's not to say that they don't ever bang (lack of a better word, sorry) because hey, maybe they're feeling especially horny, or maybe they've both had a tough day and just want each other

but i just think it's so special that they aren't soft people by any stretch of the imagination, but when they're alone with each other, they can be- i.e the shower scene

they are just so high-level romance ok i cannot see it any other way

throwing this under a read more because this is a bit random and i doubt anyone will care about this but what i just said is also why i always think of andreil when i listen to spaceship coupe by justin timberlake (one of my favourite songs rn) ESPECIALLY the last minute or so

update: oh the cruel irony

i failed AGAIN and in the second picture what andrew did there was basically what i did and it made me fail

basically i had to change lanes to the right and 90% of the areas where you might drive if you're taking your test at my test centre are two lanes max so i got unlucky in that the examiner took me somewhere with four lanes. so i was like wtf i am not used to this at all so yeah as i said i changed to the right and even though i didn't almost hit somebody he failed me for it because you're supposed to just check the lane to ur left even when you aren't going into that lane???? gotta say that's news to me and i told my parents and they both said they were not aware you're supposed to do that.... whatever

that was andrew core idc i'll be proud of it

reminds me of the bit in the extra content about when neil was trying to learn how to unpick handcuffs when he’s got them on both wrists, then proceeds to get stuck until after dinner, when andrew refuses to let him out. and (as we know) neil cuffs himself to andrew the following day so that andrew won’t leave him behind again, and andrew doesn’t break himself free. did someone say romance??? (i think so.)

reminds me of after baltimore, when neil points out that his and andrew’s game of truths seems to be over since he ended up having to give all his secrets up for free

pretty self explanatory i think, but it also makes me think of when neil finds out that andrew chose him over aaron, and nicky is surprised about it- hearing that andrew let aaron out of their deal because of neil goes against everything he’s assumed about andrew and neil’s relationship (since neither of them will say anything about it), and everything he knows about what andrew is like. and all of it comes down to the fact that andrew loves neil.

‘pick your poison, babe, i’m poison either way’

i’m not as confident with this one, but i thought maybe it could be likened to how whether andrew had chosen to pursue things with neil or not, it would be like poison. neil was the only thing to have caught and held his interest in years, so to let that slip by and do nothing about it could’ve been a waste. yet to have let neil in as he did was a risk beyond belief, considering how badly it went the last time he tried to hold onto someone.

why is evermore (the song) by tsc so Jean coded

I meant ts it autocorrected 😭😭

ill be honest with you anon, evermore has always been a skip for me and i can barely understand what she's trying to say with this song, much less analyze it in the context of a character BUT let's give this a shot.

in no particular order, just whichever lyrics struck me first

oh yes jean is 100% unmoored after eau. also the 'guess' can be taken as jean trying to identify emotions from the jumbled mess that the nest has him feeling post-tkm

this doesn't even need an explanation, 'My name is Jean Moreau. My place is at Evermore. I belong to the Moriyamas.' is all we need, he has completely given up hope and has accepted that he was destined to face this pain

this could be interpreted as jean trying to think of his time before the nest, back at marseille. the first scene where jean tries to remember elodie, he cannot go through with it purely because his memories are tainted with his parents' abuse and him being sold to the moriyamas. so the tape pauses on the moment all was lost.

i cannot not think of kevjean in this. jean sending signals that he would do anything for kevin, and kevin nailing their coffins by using french in front of riko (i.e., double crossing him)

OKAY THIS it could symbolise holding on to something, knowing it is futile since it isn't there anymore, so riko, castle evermore, hell even marseille (i say marseille because there's a lot of 'burning the house down' talk regarding jean's family)
