Jaskier has definitely been injured several times in the books. As you mentioned, he gets a head wound in "Baptism of Fire" novel. He was also beaten by elves in "The Edge of the World" story, was injured by Djinn in "The Last Wish" story and was tortured by wizard Rience in "Blood of Elves" novel. Perhaps there were more moments in the books, at least he was tied up several more times and was repeatedly exposed to mortal dangers. It seems that, taking into account Jaskier's second profession (espionage), his willingness to risk his life for Geralt and his inability to physically protect himself, we can safely imagine many situations with him getting hurt.

Perhaps we will come up with some similar plot, but for now let this be the moments of Geralt's care and worries about Jaskier when he was wounded by Djinn.

Bandits attacked the traveling Geralt and Jaskier. Jaskier saw for the first time how Geralt fights and kills humans, not monsters. Even if these humans were not much different from monsters. Perhaps Geralt thought that Jaskier would not want to know him after the carnage he saw, after the rivers of blood and human corpses. Even though Geralt had to fight to save them, he still thought that after such a thing, Jaskier would also consider him a "butcher". But nothing like that happened.
