thats a great start! if i may recommend some, batman the audio adventures, batman unburied, and riddler secrets in the dark are all bangers! rogues is great too, but much longer, so only go to that one when youre ready for a 7-season emotional journey

random question, what batman media have you consumed so far? just wanna know what characters youd be familiar with

So far it's a lot of Batman:TAS (Slowly but surely getting through it! I've been privy to season one and a good bit of season two? Haven't gotten to third!) Some of the batman and robin adventures comics/gotham adventures comics as well!

I've read long halloween, killing joke and I've also read something of the new 52 but I cannot remember exactly what <.<

I will say my friends have introduced me to some rogues/dc characters here and there also but yeah! When I say I'm like VERY NEW I'M LIKE SUPER NEW and choosing things that I just find interest in! what would actually happen if one were to go into jervis' cell and hug him? would he like... snap your neck? im confused as to why we are being dissuaded from hugging the cuddle boy

WELL, Jerv wouldn't just snap someones neck for no reason! that's a waste of resources and people he could use or make connections with, if he did manage to make one with staff or something.

Killing is messy and causes a lot of conflict with other parties if it happens to be he somehow snuffed out a semi important person. For the most part he only does that when as stated he has no choice/it's a bigger hassle to let someone live....ooooor you pressed a big huge red button that said "I'm going to hurt someone he is fixated on/loves."

like say for example some poor sods trying to attack the trio of rogues and manage to hurt either Ed or Jon, even worse, both? that's when he'd be like a semi truck sprinting in your direction at full force to straight up take you off the census,regardless of his own status physical or otherwise.

Tipping the emotional teapot over will get an anger that could rival the red queen.

he's just a gamble, less so than the other two but still...

Can Jervis find himself another Alice, or will he be devoted to just one Alice?

Whenever Alice is brought up, of course, he only can and will think of one person. The obsession with her is to an extreme degree/ hard not to think about only her when she is actively in his day dreams being his made up wife.

So technically, he'd lean onto "devotion" but if she ever somehow disconnected that label/perception of her...there's a possibility...a HIGH one at that it'd make him snap that notion in half.

because she's not in his life anymore/in the city, he gets starved for the feelings she gave him. That's why he clung onto Ed and Jon, because, they were giving something similar that itched that part of his mind. ( he also is starting to get the same fixations he has connected to Alice because of this. The only reason why it doesn't overwhelm them is because they're equally as fucked up as him and know how to twist it in a way to work for them.)

Mind you, he does not see Edward or Jonathan as "Alice", so he doesn't refer to them as such. he does have enough awareness that they are not going to be the same people and that would probably go for others whom were unfortunate enough to catch his eye.

so, in short... "finding another" is very complicated for a man who legitimately often falls into fantasies where you're married fulll husband and wife type shit + wants your actual husband dead by his own hands.
