Super awkward asexual lesbian here. This is mainly my art blog. Also PA on Powerhouse's Castlevania Nocturne; cue disclaimer that all words are my own and not reflective of the company etc etc. Side blog @selfloathingextordinaire
What we know about Jenova: cannot be killed in a way that matters, any part of her IS her meaning she can continue surviving as a small ball of flesh, a tiny portion is all that is needed to take over a body, and can survive the void of space.
Bonus points for those who can elaborate on what type of mold/fungus
Helping out with animation corrections on Nocturne has made the show's style bleed into my art style in little ways that sometimes I have a little demon voice in the back of my head saying, "You should try and draw this character in the Castlevania style." Knowing that I still have a lot to learn stops me most of the time (the other percent is me lacking energy LOL).
Clouds parted just enough for us to see the total eclipse. It got so dark out, like nighttime, and you could see the stars. People in the neighborhood were cheering ahaha. Here's a fuzzy picture cuz my camera is crappy ahah
Something that I've been doing on the side is monthly ikebana lessons. Can't remember if I ever shared my arraignments here or not lol~ It's something small that helps me get out of the house, which is hard for me to do when it's not for work.
Was thinking about my two idiot children (affectionate) and doodled them on my lunch. But ahhh, sticky notes kept curling up so I pinned them to the office wall and um, think I'll just keep them there LOL
Reblogging this on main cuz the industry is a mess atm
People do not realize how expensive animation is. There is a lot of people needed to make shows/movies and everyone needs to be paid. You make more working a job that pays $7.25/hour than in indie (side note oh my god they never did raise that holy shit no one can live off that). It's incredibly rare to get an indie job that pays well because the small studio making it or the person funding it need a lot of money upfront. I know some people who run indie studios, and it's been getting harder and harder to find jobs that allows them to pay their crew properly. Some fund projects by working overtime at their day job and using what money they have to pay people instead of spending it on themselves. It's not good.
It should go without saying that Akira Toriyama was a world renowned artist. The influence he has had on animation itself is staggering. I'm not sure if I would have the job I have were it not for him.
I wish I could wax poetically about Toriyama, but it's hard to put my feelings down. Instead I will just mourn the passing of a man who had more stories to tell, but the ones he did will live on forever in the hearts of many.
Inked and painted! Gonna post a still without all the hands so you can get a full view of 32's tits ahaha. Took a bit of time to do so want to show it all off (I don't like to work on a drawing for more than a day, so it's like, rare if I spread one out over several days).
