longing for connections meet the eyes of a stranger on a bus and wish desparately that you knew one another. like a post and hope the poster knows this means 'i want to sit next to you in silence and feel content, i feel that i have almost touched your soul 1000 times but don't know how to tell you'. read a book and long to understand another as well as you do this character whose head you can see inside. Those people, those relationships are within reach and yet feel so far away. every time one of these moments occurs you feel it, oh god of longing for connections, are you as lonely as the rest of us?

I honestly and truly believe all good AUs should be a little “”””ooc”””” in the sense that good characterisation involves understanding that changes a characters backstory and circumstances will have an effect on how they respond to the world around them

Good characterisation isn’t about creating a perfect 1:1 canon replica it’s about understanding why a character is different in your work and about grounding the changes you do deliberately choose to make in canon character traits

There's a unique kind of love I feel for seeing Little Shop of Horrors trending because the total eclipse of the sun was about a week ago, and Danny Phantom trending because it's Dannypocalypse, and Homestuck trending because it's 4/13

I might not be in all these fandoms. Heck, I'm only in one. But we find any reason we can to celebrate.

I think that's beautiful. Tumblr just being so desperate for a reason to celebrate that every time we can, we pass around the same things again, making dozens more versions of what we love.

It's an anniversary. It's a character's birthday. It's the day I made this. It's when he first appeared; when she ended the series happy; when they first came out.

Let's celebrate just being alive, being here, being creative.
