started rewatching the force awakens and i will forever feel such pain at how finn literally couldve had the coolest story ever and how much they fucked that up

stormtrooper turned rebel turned jedi? man

man now the entire trilogy is making me mad. poe and the force awakens are how i fell in love with star wars! i was 10, it was my first ever experience of star wars, seeing it in a cinema was just life changing.

i honestly believe if they hadnt fucked up tros it couldve been a solid trilogy (i’m not a last jedi hater because at least they tried something new).

rey being a nobody was cool to me, how a nobody from nowhere can be so special is so much more interesting and inspiring than space nepotism (also i think the “rey skywalker” idea works much better had she been a nobody - anyone can “be” a skywalker)

pulling “somehow palpatine returned” and “rey palpatine” out of their asses and making finn say “wait i need to tell you something” like 100 times and then just… never saying what it was? fuck sake what a disgrace

surely i can’t be the only one who wouldn’t have a problem with them saying “hey guys we’re redoing the rise of skywalker pretend that never happened” like i would be seated!

i’m really really struggling to articulate how much i adored this series, but i’ll start by saying that i genuinely balled at the achy breaky heart scene more than cap’s death scene. (i worked my way through my thoughts as i typed. we’ll see if i made a coherent point)

not dissing cap’s death scene at all, (those reserved brushings of their hands will be heavily mused upon),

but something about them all dancing together reallllllyyy hit me. i think it mightve been just the realisation it’s ending hitting me? also the emotion from them all having to be honest with each other about how much they truly care about one another probably impacted it. idk

and after being so close to losing one of them, here they are just dancing together, smiling! they’ve come so far! would season 1 cap/julian/fanny/thomas have joined in a dance like that??? no! there’s so much love and joy radiating from the scene it made me cry harder than any of the sad scenes this season!!!

did anyone else find them all dancing to be a serious emotional trigger or am i losing my mind (also possible, i’m extremely sleep deprived from binging the series after working last night lol)

honestly at this point I need Robin to move on in the Christmas special. this man has been haunting the same couple of acres of land for tens of thousands of years! he's unbearably lonely - yes he has his friends now, but he's had many friends over the years and been left alone by them again and again. he deserves to finally rest

slight ghosts spoilers? i’m putting my theory for how the show will end below

ok. i know a lot of people think the show will end with all the ghosts moving on. however, i think it’s too obvious an ending.

also i personally believe all the ghosts moving on is a bit too depressing? i am also delusional and cannot deal with any of the ghosts moving on, but like bias aside, when mary moved on they all grieved her i mean they had a fucking funeral 😭

so if the ghosts all move on, that’s like the equivalent of alison having 8 friends literally dying lol. i just think thats a bit too depressing and i’ll be quite upset if they go ahead with it

so anyway, my theory: i think alison and mike will simply not be able to afford to live in button house anymore, potentially due to having a child? they’ll have to leave, but the ghosts will remain. thats why theyre saying the finale is so emotional: they have to say goodbye. (that leaves a open door if they ever want to do another christmas episode or something?) (again, delusional)
