Doing those alpha kid god tiers got me thinking about which other characters don't have godtier ministrifes. So here's cherub god tier sprites! + a bonus Alt. Calliope.

Kanaya's Chainsaw Tutorial
Here’s a tutorial on how I made Kanaya’s chainsaw.
Here is what you’ll need:
- 2” Insulation foam
- White/black spray paint
- Acryllic paint (optional for blood and touch ups)
- 1” Rigid foam
- 1/4” Foamies/foam sheets
- Hot Glue gun
So first I took my trusty 2” insulation foam sheets - seriously, this shit is good for EVERYTHING. and I started mapping out my dimensions. Unfortunately, I don’t have pictures before I cut them out nor for the chainsaw end, but, basically just look at a reference picture and imagine how big you want it to be, and how big the parts are in relation to each other. Also: DONT GUESS IT!! MEASURE IT!
Ok, so here’s all the pieces cut out. I wanted it to be thicker than 2” so I cut two pieces of each and then shaved them down with a knife until they were about the same size.
Before I glued them together, this is a rough estimation of what they’re going to look like minus the blade. Special note: I made the blade not out of insulation foam but of 1” rigid foam. There isn’t much difference that I can tell, I just needed a thinner piece of foam. It’s a little longer than the length of all the pieces added up.
So another thing I didn’t have pictured was my PVC pipe which i planned on using to make the handles. I just got a 3/4” pbc pipe about 6 feet tall or so and then got these little elbows and caps. If we look at the picture of kanaya’s chainsaw:
We can see that there is a big handle on top, and two small handles on either side that aren’t connected! SO I cut my pipe into 5 pieces and used those elbows to form basically a square, then attached the smaller handles and covered the ends with the caps.
Here is it all put together. I used a low temp glue gun and then sat on the pieces so they would be put together without very visible seams. Also you can finally see the handle in this picture. I didnt have many pics of it because before I had a shitty version of this chainsaw where I had the handle covered in duct tape. DONT LET PEOPLE TELL YOU TO USE DUCT TAPE!! That shit stays sticky forever, the paint peels off, its just no fun. It’s better to use straight up foam in my opinion. You can also use gorilla glue to make foam hard or cover it in resin and sand it. Both options are more expensive but definitely worth it.
So here I spray painted everthing white, and as you can see it looks much better! Now I’m going to take some foam sheets I got at walmart for like $1 each and cut out he triangles for the blade. That’s another thing I don’t have pics of but basically I just drew a bunch of 1” tall triangles on the foam and cut em out. It was pretty easy.
So here are my triangles after spray painting. Also, I touched up those spots where the paint peeled (it started raining so I had to throw them in a little wet and they stuck together) with some acryllic paint.
Okie okie, just glued them all on one by one with the hot glue gun, I was careful to keep them the same distance apart. I didn’t measure here just guessed, it ended up being fine.
And here it is covered in some delicious Eridan blood. I just thought it would be a nice touch. It also covers up mistakes well. lol
Annnnd here’s a size comparison as well as a view of the other side. YAY!!!
You can use this method for pretty much any geometric-looking cosplay piece, which is most of the homestuck weapons. Insulation foam is awesome. You can get it at Lowe’s or Home Depot usually. Same with the rigid foam, which is thinner and sturdier and what I’d recommend for swords etc. There ya go! Enjoy!

somehow, amazingly, i have hacked the impulse that makes me mindlessly scroll on my phone. it's not gone but i've paired it with a conscious thought process that goes like, "what's my goal here? i'm looking for entertainment, for information, for something that makes me feel more optimistic and interested in the world i live in..."
and because that kicks in between apps, too, i'm not doomscrolling as much. i'm intentionally seeking out posts or videos or whatever that actually mean something to me. when i'm not satisfied i walk away or pick up a book instead. most subtle yet impactful change i've gone through in years
i did not intentionally set out to change this. i've just been working on my mindset in general. hey, turns out having a good therapist again helps
