EPILOGUE || Unfinished Business
Waking up with a headache was new, having never experienced pain outside of inhabiting a human body.  His eyes slowly started to adjust to the bright surroundings.  Pink and blue?  Those were hues he not used to—and clouds and stars- Oh no.
Although he prayed, he did not expect an answer.  He turned around, and there it was—The Axolotl, lying over a parting in its clouds.
“Axolotl!  Buddy!  How are you-” Bill started his sentence before he was suddenly grabbed by an invisible force, and dragged to float by The Axolotl as it was staring down from the clouds, watching human children playing at a park.  “Ugh..” the dream demon groaned in his mind.
“Precious, aren’t they?  So innocent and fragile.”  The Axolotl commented.
“Disgusting..” Bill had responded.  The Axolotl laughed.
“Still haven’t learned to appreciate them?”  The Axolotl asked.
“Why would I appreciate something so.. Weak?” Bill asked in response, The Axolotl hummed, before closing the clouds and floating over to the middle of the Axolotl’s space between time and space.  The Axolotl had summoned a small, vintage white metal table with floral patterns, and matching chairs, and then a small tea set, with a matching floral tea kettle, tea cups, plates, sugar cubes, cream, and even tea biscuits.
“Sit with me, Cipher.”  The Axolotl asked.
“Do I have a choice..?” Bill asked in a sarcastic tone.
“You always have a choice in my space between time and space, Cipher.  Although, I don’t think you’d like your second option.”  The Axolotl laughed, floating over the chair in a sat position, one leg propped over the other as it was hunched over.  Bill sat in the other chair, picking up the teacup and plate, sipping it from his eye.  Delectable as always, the Axolotl was good at that.
Before it hit him.  His memories.  The Pines Family.  Six Fingers, Shriner’s, Shooting Star... Pinetree.  They had been able to defeat him by trapping him in Shriner’s head.  He was too excited to get into Six Finger’s head he didn’t even realize they pulled a simple switch on him while he was distracted.  His body turned red with anger.
“So, like I said, I didn’t think you’d like your second option.”  The Axolotl laughed.  Bill looked insulted at the Axolotl.
“Why are you laughing at the fact I nearly died!  And by the hands of- humans.” Bill shouted at The Axolotl in anger, wanting to lunge at the Axolotl, but knowing better, he didn’t.
“Because of how much you talk badly about them, you call them weak and idiotic, yet two sets of twins, two nearly at the end of their age and the other two barely starting, defeated you.”  The Axolotl giggled again.  “The others found it hilarious.” Oh great.  Others know.  The dream demon blushed angrily.
“Whatever!  I wasn’t thinking clearly!”  He defended himself.
“Like how humans do?”  The Axolotl teased him further.  Bill was fuming at this point, enough to boil another pot of tea.  “I apologize Cipher, let's get to business.”  He added, and Bill’s anger melted into curiosity.
“Business?”  The dream demon asked.
“Yes Cipher, for why I resurrected you.”  The Axolotl repeated.
“I thought it was because I asked.”  Bill pondered.
“Asked?  It was more like a begging plea.  But no.  I resurrected you because of your unfinished business with a certain Sphynx?”  The Axolotl asked with a smile but it simply made Bill fume once more.
“No.  I don’t.  All of the Sphynx’s are dead.  I made sure of it.”  Bill responded, confused, and angered.
The Axolotl tilted its head to the floor, as the clouds split, and it showed a small clearing in a pine forest.  Bill was confused, and The Axolotl laughed once more, impressed by the Sphynx’s.  The Axolotl cleared the magic dome the Sphynxs made to hide themselves from Bill.  Bill’s eyes widened.
“Once (Mother’s Name) and (Father’s Name) Sphynx saw their family was being hunted, they worked to build a barrier so you couldn’t find their family.  Especially since Mrs. Sphynx was pregnant…”  The Axolotl explained.  Bill’s body ignited into blue flames, and he threw the metal table over, The Axolotl’s magic catching everything before it made a mess.
“Does the child, have the crest.” Bill more demanded than asked, facing away from the Axolotl.
“They do.”  The Axolotl confirmed.  Bill turned around, looking up at the Axolotl.
“What do you want?”  Bill asked, he knew this had to be a trade.  Something in exchange for a second chance.  That’s how The Axolotl has always worked.
“You already know the answer.”  The Axolotl answered.  Bill scoffed.
“It's never gonna happen, Axolotl.”  Bill denied the exchange, and the Axolotl sighed.
“Cipher, you know why I ask you of this.  We’ve been warned, and yet you ignore this warning because you don’t want to change how you act.  How you rule your dimension.  And how you want to rule this one, even though you know you can’t.”  The Axolotl explained.
“We’re not even sure if those stupid rules are true!  We haven’t proven that that happens because of how we behave and work.”  Bill retorted.
“Do you want to risk it Cipher?  After how many have died?  Those who changed have lived, those who haven’t, turned to ash.  Just like they predicted.  Just like they warned.”  The Axolotl explained further.
“Here is my deal, Cipher.  I will return you to Gravity Fall, Oregon.  Your birthplace.  For you to finish your unfinished business.  Preferably the way we’re supposed to.”  The Axolotl held its hand out to Bill.  Bill looked at the hand, before up to The Axolotl.
“And what if I don’t do it the “proper” way?”  Bill asked back, almost the same way a teenager would ask his parent “Or what?”, but he was seriously asking, for his safety.  Being a king of deals, he knew to get every detail.
“Please, do you think this is the first time we’ve had this conversation?”  The Axolotl asked with a smile and a laugh.  Bill felt a shiver up his none existent spine, and he sighed, before rolling his eyes.  He took Axolotl’s hand, no blue flames ignited unlike normal.
“Deal.”
“Wonderful!  I’ll send you down immediately.”  The Axolotl smiled, before clapping his hands once.  As all the tea stuff disappeared.  The Axolotl floated to the clouds, opening up a clearing.
“How are you going too-”  Bill started to ask before he was teleported in front of the opening, his face inches from the Axolotl. “Good luck!”  The Axolotl smiled, before flicking Bill like a bug down to earth. “Boop~”  The Axolotl giggled.

Hello Fellow Fans!
I understand it has been a very long time since I've updated this blog! And I sincerely apologize for the delay! My life has been incredibly busy with moving counties and schools, along with mental health issues.
I know you all are probably hoping for an update! But, I am going to do something that's both better, but will take much longer.
I am revamping the fanfiction!
Now, what does this mean?
The previous story line will be discontinued, but a better storyline will be in production and be created to last longer and have a better plotline.
How soon will this be put into action? Instantly! I plan on editing the blog today and creating a new timeline, the old chapters will be kept as archieves since I know you guys seem to like them.
Thank you for the love! And onto the next chapterof this story!

CHAPTER SIX ;; A Demon with Cooking Edicate
Y/N's P.O.V.
The interruption obviously annoyed Bill, as he grumbled and floated over to the front door, hiding from the windows on either side of the door, even though they're more for looks and you can't see through them besides colors and vague shapes. He looked through the peephole and rolled his eyes, leaning back in the air and floating up.
"It's Shooting Star and Pinetree."
He said, crossing his arms and floating away from the door.
"What?! Why are they here?! How did they even find my cabin-"
I whispered-screamed, shoving him away and down the hallway behind the staircase, pulling a "Hey-!" from him.
"You stay out of sight!"
I ordered him in an anxious tone, in fight or flight over teenagers at my door.  They knocked again and Mabel called out my name.  I inhaled, taking a deep breath before walking over to the door and creaking it open.
"Um- hey, can I help you-? And how did you find my place-"
I asked anxiously, peeking around the door at the twins.
"Hey Y/N!  We just needed to ask ya a few questions if you don't mind, and the mailman told us!"
Mabel explained, smiling like a ray of sunshine and holding her hands behind her back, her brother looking around, studying my cabin with his hands in his pockets.
“Betrayal.” I whispered to myself, thinking about Remus the mailman, or as I call him, Irony, because he looks like a werewolf and he’s a mailman.
I sighed and looked back into my house where I shoved Bill, not seeing him and walking outside to stand in front of the twins.
“How can I help you?”
I asked, and they looked at each other before back at me.
“You may want to sit down.”
Dipper added before starting, causing me some worry.
It’s been about an hour, I ended up having us move to the small porch next to the kitchen, sitting down with the crows, which Mabel was very fascinated by how close they got to me.
The twins told me about something called ‘Weirdmaggedon’, and everything Bill did to them and their family, and the town, and his plans for the world.
“Y/N? Y/N are you okay-?”
Dipper asked, leaning closer to me and trying to get my attentio.  I’ll admit, I started dissociating thinking about how someone who did that was in my cabin and had threatened to kill me, how I have the same power do to those same things-
“Y/NNN?”
Mabel eventually screamed in my ear, scaring a few of my crows.
I yelped, and jumped back, nearly smacking Mabel but thankfully she was able to deflect my attack.
“Oh my god I’m so sorry-”
I apologized, standing up to check on Mabel.
“You’re okay!  I know I startled you and this is probably a lot-”
She reassured me, having me sit back down as she sat down as well.
“Yeah, a lot..”
My words drifted off, thinking about Bill and the situation I’ve got myself in.
“We believe it’s possible that Bill is back because our uncle, Stanley, the one who got his mind erased, had a nightmare about him.”
Dipper explained further, and I nodded.
“Got it, if I see anything on my days in town I’ll tell you, and I’d be happy to help you guys search the forest-? I probably know it better than anyone..”
I mumbled nervously while politely offering, hoping they’d decline.
“If we don’t find him in town, we’ll take you up on that offer.  Thank you Y/N.”
Dipper thanked me, and I nervously nodded.
They soon left after that, and I waved to them as they left, reentering my house through the front door, leaning on the door inside and sighing.  When I opened my eyes, I was greeted with another, yellow one.
“AGH- Jesus Bill!”
I shouted, jumping and almost hitting him, but he didn’t budge or say anything.
“Why did you offer to help them, Sphinx?”
He was more demanding than questioning, as I felt him staring through me.
“It’s Y/N, and because if I didn’t it’d be suspicious?”
I stated like it was an obvious fact, walking around him, annoyed by his attitude.  I walked into the kitchen, resting my hands on the counter and gripping my fists while my back was towards him.  A crow hopped through the open kitchen window, looking up to me in concern.
“Did you really do those things, Bill?  Invade a guys mind, turned Dipper into a living puppet, took over the town and turned everyone to stone-”
I rambled in disbelief.
“Ugh, yes, I did all that, although it’s not like that’s the worst I’ve done-”
He went off, before I cut him off.
“What the hell, Bill?!  What the fuck did I get myself wrapped into?!  If I help you are you- are you gonna do all those things again?! What, are you gonna like- take over the world and turn it into some- some- some fucked up, chaotic, living nightmare, apocalypse?! Am I helping you do that-?!”
I let myself go, turning around, tears threatening the corners of my eyes while I screamed at him.  I blinked and looked up, and suddenly he was inches from my face, looming over me.
“You, don’t speak to me like that.”
He growled under his breath, the corner of his lip raising to make a scowl.
Normally I’d melt from fear, but this time a small fire lit and burned in my chest and stomach, and instinctively I pushed his chest, and threw him into the air, as he caught himself, now floating high up in the middle of my living room, looking at me with stunned confusion.
I let my arms fall in front of me, staring at my hand before gripping my chest, feeling the small burning fire die down, but not die out.  Just relaxed.  I breathed in and out, trying to calm myself as I felt the fire move back and forth with my breath.  I sighed.
“I’m gonna head to my room. Don’t bother me.”
I demanded of him, leaving the demon stunned in my living room.
Once in my room, and once my door was closed, I fell to the floor, gripping my knees and letting myself come loose, crying into my lap and hyperventilating at the situation I was stuck in.  Either I die and this- thing- this monster, steals whatever powers of his that’re in me and he destroys everything, or I live and help him destroy everything anyways.
I was having a panic attack.  I didn’t know what was going to happen, or how to handle everything.  I didn’t know what to do.  So I did the one thing I knew how to do.
After my panic attack, I calmed down.  I picked myself, walked over to my desk, and I started writing.  I started writing a new story, based on what was happening.  The protagonist was stuck with a demon who wanted to destroy everything, and they had to pick to either help or die.  Eventually, my creativity did what it always did and made a way so, the protagonist won.
After I had finished writing this first draft, I looked at it in shock as I realized what I had just done.  I had just answered my own crisis with writing.
“God damnit, Y/N you idiot.”
I sighed, and laughed, running my hand through my H/L (hair length) hair.  I looked at the time in shock, realizing I’ve been writing from 7-8am to now 5pm.
“Fucking crist-”
I cussed myself, saving my work before standing up and returning downstairs.
I could smell something cooking, and it smelled amazing.  I let my nose drag me to my kitchen, looking inside at the same demon who was a threat to the universe, now in a cooking apron and making a sort of stir fry.
“Bill-?”
I asked, peaking around the corner of the staircase.  He turned around and made his signature maniacal smile.
“Y/N!  Feeling better?”
He asked, acting like nothing happened.
“Uh- Yeah, I guess so- What’re you making?”
I asked, my gluttony I guess plaguing my eyes as Bill laughed at my face.
“Well, it seems you were able to awaken Mrs. Sphinx!  So, the next thing to do is for you to enter your Mindscape to talk to her and start harnessing my powers!”
He explained, although that wasn’t really an answer to my question.
“What- How did I awaken the Sphinx, and what does that have to do with you cooking-?”
I asked, sitting down at one of the bar stools in my kitchen.
“Well, when you got emotion and I threatened you, it awoken her to protect you, and entering the Mindscape for a mortal can be- A lot.  So, I thought the best way for you to enter it successfully, is with a healthy full meal.”
He explained with a satisfied and proud smile. I laughed.
“I guess that makes sense,”
I smiled, wondering if my plan from my book could work, considering he’s showing quite a bit of empathy for being a demon.
A few minutes later, he handed me the large blate (bowl+plate).  It had rice, homemade udon noodles, beef, and various vegetables like bell peppers, carrots, broccoli, mushrooms, and green onions.  I stared at the food for a minute, drooling a small amount and staring in awe at both the look and the smell.
“Well, you can’t eat with your eyes like me, dig in!”
Bill stated, cleaning his hands- Were Dipper and Mabel serious about him being a demon or is he just a demon with really good cooking edicate-?!- and walking off.
I picked up my chopsticks and grabbed a bite, eating it slowly, worried it was cursed or poisoned, before melting at the taste.
If this shit was poisoned or cursed I wouldn’t even care because this would be the best way to go out!
I started eating it quickly yet slowly to try and savor the flavor and texture of everything, it was amazing!  He even seasoned everything incredibly well!  I wouldn’t care in F/B/C (Favorite Book Character) where in my kitchen standing in front of me because this was to die for!
Once I finished, I wiped my mouth and cleaned up my dishes- He even cleaned his cooking dishes?? Fucking Christ this demon must be a fan of Gordon or something.
I cleaned my bowl before looking to find Bill, finding him in my family room, floating mid air above a small setup.
There was a mat laid on the floor, along with candles and there was a small zodiac on the mat, which seemed to be painted on with- Something.  Thankfully it was white so it probably isn't blood.
“What’s this all for?”
I asked, looking around before looking back at the floating blonde.
“What, you think entering the Mindscape is gonna be easy?”
He laughed, floating over and standing next to me.
“Well- Of course not but I wanna know what I’m getting into before I- do whatever I need to do.”
I explained, crossing my arms. He rolled his eyes and sighed, floating back up over the mat.
“Well, since the Zodiac helps transfer me from different realms of reality, it should do the same for you since you have my powers.  If you fall asleep on it and I recite the Zodiac’s language, then you’ll be transferred into the Mindscape and you can find your subconscious, and find Mrs. Sphinx.  The candles are also for the Zodiac.”
He explained before opening his eyes and looking at me, as if saying ‘Good enough?’.
I nodded and walked over, lying down on the mat and sighing.
“So, what?  Do I just fall asleep or-?”
My sentence was cut off by a snap and sudden darkness.

CHAPTER FIVE ;; The Zodiac
".. You know how I said I'm like a being of pure energy?"
He asked, pulling a nod from me.
"Well, like you already know, energy cannot be destroyed or created. So, I was never created, and I can never be destroyed. I've simply, always existed. The Zodiac is the same thing. Pure energy that was born into existence with me. Energy can be transferred, and the Zodiac and I, are simply two types of energies that affect each other. The Zodiac is sort of like my pentagram for Lucifer, Satan, or the Devil, or whatever. It is what controls how I present myself to your reality. The Zodiac can banish me from this realm, and invite me. Shooting Star and Pinetree, or how you know them as Mabel and Dipper, represent two of the ten symbols in the Zodiac, they resemble the Shooting Star and the Pinetree. For as long as the Zodiac and humanity have existed together, there have been randomly selected people who resemble each of the Zodiacs. When one of them dies, someone is born at the same time, and the Zodiac role transfers.
Bill explained, seemingly bored from having to explain everything to me, while I sat intrigued by everything. He looked at me while I was staring, star-struck and invested in his story.
"You alright there, kid?"
He asked, tapping my forehead with his cane, pulling me from my trance.
"Ah-! Ye-Yeah, I'm fine. Just a lot of information all at once, ya know?"
I laughed nervously, holding my cup of coffee in both my hands.
"Right! Well now that I've given you that information, it's time we work on extracting my power from ya!"
He exclaimed, standing up mid-air with his cane.
"Oh- Yeah, guess that seems fair.. What do I need to do?"
I set my cup of coffee down before asking and sitting up straight.
"Well, before your something-great grandmother, Mrs. Sphinx completely ruined me, I was twice as powerful as I was before! Not only could I change anything in reality, but I could also bend space and time of every dimension, realm, alternate reality and universe, every timeline! So basically, you can do everything I can do and more. What we'll need to do is extract that power, and the spirit of the Sphinx hidden within you."
He explained, sitting mid-air. I sat idly and silently, comprehending the fact I had the abilities of a being of pure energy and the freaking Sphinx. Like the giant lion-bird woman who fought in wars and protected millions of civilizations, Sphinx. That Sphinx.
"So! What we'll need to do first is make sure your body is physically capable of managing this power, or else your brain will probably melt from the knowledge, and the atoms that make up your body will physically start 'glitching' into a dream demon-sphinx god."
He continued to explain, which caused my brain to lag even more.
"Wait- I'm just processing- You're telling me. I have your abilities, and the Sphinx's abilities, and if I don't, what mentally prepare and physically train, trying to harness these abilities could kill me-?"
I asked for clarification, and the demon thought for a moment.
"Yes, basically! However, instead of mental preparation or physical training, I'm going to teach you how to navigate the mindscape, how to alter dreams, and how to make deals AKA summon your 'Demon Hand', which should be enough so you don't die summoning everything in you."
He explained, and I sighed in relief.
"Thank god I don't have to work out.."
"Of course, that's your worry."
Bill pouted and sighed, landing back on the ground.
"So! Shall we get started?"
He smirked, before I could respond there was a knock at the door.

CHAPTER FOUR ;; Knowledge from a Demon
DIPPER'S P.O.V.
It was the next morning, and the actual morning and not 3 AM. I pulled my head up from the pillow, feeling my head grow a bit dizzy from sitting up too quickly for my half-asleep brain. I groan slightly, sitting there for a moment before turning my body to get out of bed.
I rub my eyes sleepily before hauling myself to the bathroom, doing my business, and brushing my teeth before making my way downstairs, waving a warm welcome to Melody and her and Soos's kid, Stanley JR. I walk into the kitchen, where I was greeted by Mabel and Grunkle Stan sitting at the dining table, Great Uncle Ford standing and mumbling to himself while writing down something in a journal, as he started making another set of journals after Bill destroyed the first 3, and Soos standing nervously in the corner.
"Stiff morning, isn't it?"
I laughed nervously, trying to lighten the mood a bit, before walking to the fridge to get something to eat.
"Haha, yeah-! Someone get me a knife so I can cut through this tension!"
Mabel joined in, wanting to lighten the mood as much as I did, but it didn't work so well.
"So.. You dudes are telling me that crazy triangle dude is back?
Soos added, more nervous than the first wave of Weirdmageddon since he has a wife and 3 month old now, I didn't even think Soos knew how kids were made.
"Precisely, Soos. We have a lot to do today, firstly, Stan and I are gonna go hunt down the statue-"
Ford started before Mabel cut him off.
"Woah woah woah, what?! Why don't Dipper and I get to go?!"
She asked, standing up from her seat.
"Hey yeah, why do you two get to go but not us?"
I repeated my sister, moving to stand next to her.
"Because it's not safe for you. Stan and I have been traveling the seas and fighting and capturing random anomalies Bill spread throughout the globe with his first try with Weirdmageddon. You two have been out of the game for six years!"
"Yeah, but we're not kids anymore, Ford! And Dipper has been obsessed with studying weirdness since we came here back in 2012!"
Mabel protested, the last statement shocking Ford as he turned to look at me.
"Mabel-!"
I defended myself, pulling my hands up to guard myself.
"You've started studying anomalies?"
Ford asked.
"Well, yeah- Along with biology and astronomy-"
I added, laughing nervously.
"Haha! Amazing!"
He exclaimed, walking over and hugging me, surprising me before I hugged him back.
"After we deal with Bill, remind me to give you some of my research."
He smiled, causing an eager smile from me.
After we finished planning and had breakfast, we split up to track down our people. Mabel and I find Y/N Sphinx, and Stan and Ford go off to find Bill's statue.
YOUR P.O.V.
I woke up sleepily, yawning before pulling myself up and awake, stretching my arm before letting it fall to my sides. I stood up and stretched my back quickly before walking to my bathroom and doing my business.
I mumbled a song stuck in my head sleepily while walking downstairs and into the kitchen, starting to make myself a cup of coffee, before a suggestive whistle pulled me from my sleepy trance.
I shot my head around to the living room, where Bill was sitting on the couch. I had completely forgotten he was here.
"You look nice, Y/N~"
He chuckled, one leg propped up on the other while he was reading a newspaper. I immediately fell down, sitting on the ground and back leaned against the kitchen cabinet.
"Close your eyes!"
I yelled, covering my now red and embarrassed face.
"Whaat, I've already seen you?"
He laughed, and I could hear the sadism from it. He was enjoying this.
"Just do it, dammit Bill!"
I yelled again, sighing.
"Alright, alright. Calm down kid,"
He laughed before closing his eyes. I pulled myself to peek over the counter to ensure he closed his eyes. He was, and I pulled myself up and ran upstairs.
"You can open your eyes now!"
I yelled once I got upstairs, racing to my bedroom and slamming the door, sinking to comprehend the embarrassment I was feeling. If I had to be honest, I would stay curled up there forever. But, I couldn't. I was hungry. I picked myself back up, putting on a C/C (Color of Choice) hoodie and shorts. I took a deep breath before walking back downstairs.
Once I got back downstairs, I didn't even look at Bill and the shit-eating grin I knew he was making. I just continued to make myself a coffee.
"Forget to put clothes on this morning?"
He asked, holding back a laugh.
"Shut up,"
I mumbled, my face growing red again as I refused to turn and look at him.
I finished making my cup of coffee and walked over to sit down on the matching armchair that matched the couch Bill was sitting on. I continued to avoid making eye contact with him and just tried to enjoy my coffee.
He noticed I still refused to look at him, and he laughed, as my attention was brought up when he snapped his fingers, teleporting himself to float right in front of me, face to face, causing me to jump as our noses were about 2 inches apart.
"Gah-! Bill!"
I yelped, jumping in my seat and thankfully not spilling my coffee. He giggled with a cheeky grin, finding my fear funny. I pouted.
"It's hilarious how easily scared humans can get~"
He hummed with a sweet tone, and I roll my eyes.
"Yeah yeah.."
I mumbled in response, pulling my mug to my face to comfort myself with the heat.
"So, your first question?"
He asked, still floating but spinning to float on his back instead of his stomach.
"What-?"
I asked in response, looking at him tiredly.
"It was a part of our deal. You give me my powers and give me a physical form and I don't kill you and give you information."
He reminded me, pulling a small "Oh" from me before I started thinking.
"Can I ask two questions instead?"
I asked, looking at him finally.
"Hmm, sure, just because of that show from this morning~"
He teased, making me blush but I thought for a moment.
"What, are you?"
I asked, pulling a laugh from him.
"A God, a Demon, an Angel, a Deity, a Being of Pure Power, a Pyramid, I've even been called a 'Dorito' a few times! I am everything, and nothing at the same time."
He explained, floating idly in the air, and I hummed, processing his words.
"What's your second question, Y/N?"
He hummed, summoning his cane and playing with it while he waited.
"Why did you call Mabel and Dipper, 'Shooting Star' and 'Pinetree'?"

CHAPTER THREE ;; Tall & Blonde
YOUR P.O.V.
After I shook Bill's hand, I could feel myself being pulled awake as my body lifted up and I gasped for air. The triangle seemed to fly out of the dream and float in mid-air for a moment before Bill's form grew muscle over the triangle, and it changed from a triangle to more of a human form.
His body grew a torso, hips, and a head, and he slowly floated to the ground, now a tall, around 6'0, golden blonde male with a yellow vest, white button up with a black bowtie and pants, accompanied by a matching yellow jacket with a long tail. He smiled, an upside-down black triangle eyepatch forming over his right eye.
"That's better! If I'm gonna be in the human realm, I might as well blend in!"
He smirked and laughed, swinging his cane in his right hand. I picked myself up and wiped the dirt off my pants and sweater.
"Yeah.. I guess that makes sense."
I mumbled, avoiding looking at him.
"Hey! It's rude not to look at the person you're talking to!"
He scolded, tapping my shoulder with his cane, causing me to jump.
"S-Sorry! I'm not the best at eye contact.."
I mumbled again, making eye contact with him. He laughs and smiles.
"Well common, back to your cabin."
He hums, walking in the direction of my cabin.
"Wh- Hey! How do you know I live in a cabin?"
I asked, jumping to keep up with the taller male.
"Haha, I know everything about everyone, kid!"
He laughed, throwing his cane up as it disappeared and he walked with his hands behind his back, his chest out.
"Oh- Okay.. What do you know about, Dipper and Mabel Pines..?"
I asked, deciding to test his knowledge and just picking the first names that came to my head, being Mabel and Dipper.
"Ugh.. Don't even mention Pinetree and Shooting Star around me. It's their fault I even needed a second chance, if it weren't for them, Point Dexter, and Shriner I would be ruling this dimension with an iron fist!"
Bill growled and rambled, my eyebrow raised, looking at him with confusion, causing his eyes to roll.
"It's a whole thing, I'll explain the Zodiac to you later."
"O-kay.."
I mumbled, looking back down at the ground, feeling the awkward silence settle in. Even after I looked at the ground, I could feel Bill staring at me, studying me.
"D-Do you need something-?"
I asked after gaining enough courage to ask him.
"No. I'm just trying to figure out how I never found you until now."
He responded, moving to look in front of us.
"What's that supposed to mean-?"
I asked, looking up at him.
"Well, you should know that your entire family is cursed because of Miss Sphinx's and mine battle back, maybe 5000 years ago or so?"
He mumbled, calculating in his head.
"Curse- 5000 years?!"
I asked in surprise.
"Yes, yes. That birthmark of yours is a curse I gave your family so I could easily find you. Plenty of humans have some sort of secret godly power they're gifted from their ancestors that they can never harness, but none have that birthmark. Besides your family."
He hummed, explaining everything but the 5000 years bit.
"I- Oh.. That's probably because my parents kinda, self-isolated me from the rest of the world. It's why I can't really make eye contact-?"
I laughed nervously, feeling like I was trauma-dumping onto this guy. And 5000 years?? God, how old was this guy??
"Ah, that would make sense!"
He hummed, twirling his hand and summoning his cane, as he started walking faster as we neared closer to my cabin.
~TIMESKIP~
DIPPER'S P.O.V.
We were abruptly woken up at around 3 AM by Great Uncle Ford slamming our door open. I flew up from the sound, while Mabel tiredly lifted herself up, rubbing her eyes. Ford was breathing heavily, fear in his eyes.
"He's back."
Mabel and I were up and dressed, standing in the kitchen with Ford and Stan, Stan sitting at the dining while Ford was pacing.
"What do you mean he's back?"
I asked, sounding angry when really I was terrified.
"But, we defeated him. With Stan, and the memory gun-"
Mabel defended, gesturing to Stan with a stuffed unicorn in her one of her arms.
"Yes, but when Stan regained his memory, the possibility of Bill returning came as well. With the statue, we were sure it wasn't possible-"
Ford explained stammering and gesturing his words with his hands.
"Wait, what statue?"
I asked, Mabel and I were both confused.
"I thought you said you'd tell them, Stan."
Ford asked in a more confused and tired tone than the serious and angered tone he was intending.
"You really were going to rely on my memory when I just recovered from amnesia?"
Stan defended, throwing his hand in defense while the other held his forehead.
"Before Stan and I went to go on our ocean hunt, we stopped by the place where Bill's castle came from, and, his body was a stone statue, his hand still out to take Stan's."
Ford explained, stopping to stand in front of us. Mabel and I looked at each other before looking at Ford.
"How do we even know Bill's back? What told you-"
Mabel asked before Stan cut her off.
"I had a dream. Or, more like a nightmare. All of my memories from the Weirdmagedon came back, and then Bill rose from his statue and, turned into a human."
Stan explained, holding a cup of coffee in his hand.
"He can do that-?"
"He can do anything, Mabel. Turning into a human doesn't sound like him though. Someone must have made a deal with him. But what kind of deal would prompt him to make a human form?"
Stan explained, before asking himself, he sighed and pushed the hair out of his forehead.
"We should get some rest, and then gather the rest of the Zodiacs for a meeting tomorrow."
"Shouldn't we check the statue first-? Just to make sure it wasn't a nightmare."
I mentioned, and Ford nodded.
"Yes, good idea Dipper. Is everyone still in town?"
"I think Pacifica moved to California, and Robbie and Gideon moved out of town."
I added.
"We'll call them tomorrow if the statue is gone, hopefully, they aren't too far out of town."
Ford sighed, holding his head and placing his hand on the table.
"Go back to bed kids, we're gonna be up for a minute."
Stan ordered, earning a nod from Mabel and I, as we walked back upstairs to the attic, tucking ourselves back in bed.
"Do you think.. That Y/N Sphinx has anything to do with this?"
Mabel asked, holding his unicorn plush close to her chest, Waddles curled up next to her.
"What makes you think that?"
I ask, staring at the ceiling before turning my head to look at her.
"Well, during Weirdmagedon, we didn't see them at all. Even though it was like, almost a week long. Everyone else doesn't even talk about Bill Cipher.. Maybe they made a deal not knowing what he did.."
She explained her theory, and I looked back up at the ceiling.
"That's.. Actually a good point."
I hummed.
"So, maybe?"
She asked.
"Maybe. Let's bring it up to Stan and Ford tomorrow, okay?"
I added, turning to face her.
"Hm, good plan."
She agreed, turning to look at me as well.
"Goodnight Mabel."
"Night Dipping Sauce."

CHAPTER TWO ;; That Old Statue
YOUR P.O.V.
I sighed, standing to catch my breath as I sped walked back to my cabin, staring and enjoying the view of this old wooden cabin I inherited from my parents.
I wipe the sweat from my forehead, walking up the steps, and unlocking the door. I walked inside, saying hello to my home. I set my groceries down on the counter, asking Alexa to play a playlist on my Spotify account. Humming and bouncing to the beat, putting my groceries away while listening to the song. A few crows stopped by the railing from my patio that surrounds the outside of my house, and I smile, opening the window for them to hop inside.
I fill their feed with food I got from the store, seeds, nuts, and berries, petting one of them and putting the paper grocery bags in my paper recycling. I enjoyed making my own paper for my books, which gave them an aesthetically pleasing feel.
I start singing quietly to the next song that came on, making myself a cup of coffee and putting it in a closeable cup. I also grabbed an apple, my sketchbook, my phone, and my earbuds. I transfer Spotify to my phone and plug my earbuds into my phone and ears, humming softly as I leave my house through the backdoor, wandering past my backyard and into the forest.
After a while of wandering, my data started to glitch and give out, and I noticed that my crows had stopped following me, speaking of, there wasn't any wildlife around. Not even a bug or songbird. I hummed, putting my earbuds in my pocket and coming to a clearing, with a statue.
I was a bit stunned by the statue, as it was leaning towards me, its hand out like it wanted to shake my own. I stared at it for a moment, moss and a few vines growing on them. I walked further into the clearing, looking around.
"Did, you scare away all the animals?"
I asked, not getting a response. Go figures. I laughed to myself.
"My name is Y/N, Y/N Sphinx. I didn't know you were out here, wondering who put you here."
I hummed, appreciating the aura of the area, sitting in front of him.
"I hope you don't mind if I draw you,"
I mumbled, pulling my sketchbook out and a pencil, starting to lightly sketch.
BILL CIPHER'S P.O.V.
After being flung down from The Axolotl's Domain, I quickly caught myself when I reentered the Mindscape, seeing I was stuck in this small clearing where my physical body remained. I sighed, looking at the statue, sitting down on my arm, and mumbling angrily.
"How dare it flick me like a bug.."
I mumbled angrily before a presence caught my attention, and I floated up, looking in front of me.
That familiar Y/H (Your Height), S/C (Skin Color) kid came into view, except now I could see their features much better, specifically the Sphinx's ancient forehead birthmark I cursed their bloodline with so I could find them easily. A picture of my eye; it's quite perfect to find in my opinion.
"Did, you scare away all the animals?"
"How could I? I just got here!"
I said in response, only to see they couldn't hear me, as they approached me.
"My name is Y/N, Y/N Sphinx. I didn't know you were out here, wondering who put you here."
"I know who you are! And it was those damn Pines.."
I cursed under my breath, floating over to circle the Sphinx. Once they sat in front of me, I rolled my eyes, and sat next to them, crossing my arms.
"I hope you don't mind if I draw you,"
"Wh- Draw me??"
I questioned, looking over and watching him pull out a sketchbook and pencil, and started sketching my statue. I stared wide-eyed, floating up and over his shoulder, causing his hair to stand on end; guess I do have an effect in the third dimension. I watched him sketch me, slightly fascinated by the movement of his hand that made quite impressive drawing of me.
YOUR P.O.V.
Soon enough, it'd almost been an hour since I found this statue, and I looked at the pictures I'd drawn of the statue, smiling to myself before standing up, and closing my sketchbook. I approached the statue, smiling awkwardly.
"Thank you for letting me draw you, it was a pleasure meeting you."
I smiled, reaching out and grabbing the hand that extended towards me, and I suddenly felt myself grow tired and fall.
When I woke up, the world was suddenly black and white, and hazy, and suddenly a figure who looked exactly like the triangular statue floated above the statue.
"Well, well, well then! Glad to see I can still drag people into the Mindscape,"
The triangle called. I yelped, backing up and hitting an invisible wall. The small clearing I found before was now all I could see, everything beyond that was just, a dark grey void.
"Hey! Relax kid, you're just in the Mindscape."
The triangle floated closer to me, and I winced, trying to hide deeper in the corner.
"Yeesh, you weren't scared of me when drawing my physical form."
He laughed, and I looked at him and the statue.
"Wh-Who- What- How-" I stammered, still sitting, cornered on the ground.
"You've seriously never heard of me? Wow, your bloodline has seriously failed your ancestor, hahaha!"
He laughed, tipping his hat.
"Name's Bill Cipher, and you're Y/N Sphinx, an ancestor of a long line of Egyptian royalty, and Miss Sphinx, Goddess of Protection and The Desert, also known as my arch enemy who turned me into this."
He growled when mentioning this 'Miss Sphinx', gesturing to his body.
"Miss Sphinx-? I don't know what you're talking about- I mean, I know I was related to Egyptian royalty but everyone is related to some kind of royalty nowadays-"
I mumbled, pulling the collar of my sweater.
"Hey, let's get to that later. Listen up Kid, The Big Axolotl upstairs decided to give me a second chance. And with this second chance, I need to finish some business with a few people, including you."
His voice deepened, and his figure grew to intimidate me, which worked successfully.
"Wh-What kind of business-?"
I asked nervously, feeling any ounce of confidence I had in myself leave almost instantly.
"Well! Your dear, old great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, something-something, great grandmother Sphinx banished me to the second dimension, stealing some of my powers as well. So, I've come here to kill you and regain my full power!"
He explained, and my heart sank.
"Wh-What-?! H-Hold on- there's gotta be a way to do this without you killing me, right-?!"
I stammered, completely in fight or flight mode.
"Hmm.. Alright, kid, you've caught my interest. What's your bargain?"
He asked, floating back and leaning his arms against his cane.
"I- I don't know-? I mean, you clearly know more about my family then I do-! A-And I'm sure you can read my mind and tell I'm not lying- Right-?"
I gestured with my hands, physically shaking from nerves.
"Please, I could tell that without reading your mind, you look like you're about to crumble into dust!"
He laughed. I pouted, crossing my arms, feeling embarrassed.
"O-Okay, so, you want your, 'powers' back, and I, have these powers-? If we can find a way to give you these powers, I will happily give them to you, I do not want some weird powers."
I reassured him, and he thought for a moment, making a small 'hum'.
"Well, the only way I could think of is to make it so you harness these powers, and I can just pull them out of you! But, I'll need to be in the third dimension to do that."
He explained, and I pulled myself up, trying to stop myself from shaking.
"Here's the deal, you give me a physical form and give me my powers back, and I won't kill you!"
He smiled, holding his hand out, as it engulfed in blue flames.
"W-Wait-"
I stammered, and his face showed some angered annoyance.
"Can, you also tell me about my family? About this Miss Sphinx person and stuff-? And, what happened to you?"
I asked nervously, and he seemed to relax, a bit taken aback by the last statement.
"Ah, sure thing, easy enough!"
He agreed, his face relaxing.
"Then, it's a deal."
I agreed, pulling my hand out and shaking his.

CHAPTER ONE ;; Return to the Falls
DIPPER'S P.O.V.
"It's only been six years since you've been to Gravity Falls, it's fine-!"
"Dip, you're mumbling to yourself again."
Mabel commented, lightly pushing my shoulder.
"Oh, shit- Sorry,"
I laugh nervously, rubbing my wrists.
"You're anxious over nothing Dipping Sauce, it's just the old gang! We saved the world together, it'll be fine."
She reassured. We were about maybe 6 minutes from the stop in Gravity Falls, and it'd been six years since Weirdmageddon. We just graduated Highschool and decided to start our first summer out of school back at Gravity Falls. Mabel kept in contact with Grenda and Candy, and I had Wendy's phone number, but I was always too scared to start a conversation. Mabel says I need to just 'talk to her like a normal person' the same way I did in person, but it's, different, I guess.
"Dipper! It's the sign!"
Mabel jumped in her seat and pointed at the old 'Gravity Falls' sign. I smiled and tried relaxing. While going to high school, I got recommended to a counselor for my apparent social anxiety, which I had no idea I had until someone brought the idea to mind. I've found a few coping mechanisms for my anxiety, and currently, none of them were working for this anxiety.
"Last stop, Gravity Falls."
The bus driver called, and Mabel leaped from her seat, grabbed her suitcase and backpack, and ran out the door, Waddle following close behind her. I picked up my bag and suitcase as well, following her close behind with nervousness running down my spine.
I walked out of the bus to see Mabel group hugging Grenda and Mabel, and being greeted by Grunkle Ford and Stan, Soos, and Wendy.
"Hey, dude,"
Wendy called, grabbing her hat off my head and putting my old pine tree hat back on my hat, pushing the brim of it which pulled a laugh from me.
"Hey, Wendy."
I smiled and blushed awkwardly, putting my hands in my pockets.
"Dude, you hit a huge growth spurt."
She laughed, and Soos stood next to me for comparison, I was almost as tall as him.
"Dude, you're almost as tall as me!"
He commented, smiling and I laughed in response.
~TIMESKIP~
After our little meeting, we decided to walk back to the shack, just to view the changes in town, and see old friends. While walking, there was a new face spotted leaving a grocery store, waving bye to the owner. Around Y/H (Your Height), and S/C (Your Skin Color), they wore a C/C (Color of Choice) sweater and jeans, with a ruby pendant.
"Woahh, who's that cutie?!"
Mabel called out, guess they caught both our eyes. Figures. I discovered I was probably bi in high school, Mabel of course, being omnisexual, was more than supportive, which didn't really surprise me since she cut my hair and helped me bind my chest whenever I found out I was trans. She had way more luck with guys and gals, however.
"Oh, yeah, that's Y/N Sphinx. They don't come into town much."
Wendy explained, putting her hands in her pockets.
"Yeah, they're some kinda hermit, back when I lived here I only saw them out like, once."
Grunkle Stan added, humming suspiciously.
"So, do they not have any friends?"
Mabel hummed sadly.
"No, we have even tried befriending them, and they do not seem interested."
Candy commented, and I noticed Mabel get a sparkle in her eye.
"Mabel." I said sternly,
"Common Dipper! They need a friend!"
She cried.
"Can we at least go put out stuff in the shack-?!"
I plead before she ran off saying "Nope!" in response, and I chased after her, crying out to her.
YOUR P.O.V.
"Finally done with groceries.."
I sighed, thinking to myself, before looking over my grocery list quickly and humming, putting it in my jean pocket, and I continued walking. I was never a fan of socializing or being out in the town, nothing against the townsfolk. Lazy Susan was a sweetheart, and funny enough Tyler Cutebiker, now Mayor Tyler Cutebiker, and I got along pretty well, I just always kinda got drained from talking to almost anyone besides forest creatures.
"Hey, hey, heyyy!"
I heard someone call out to me and I turned around, stopping in my tracks and looking at the brunette girl who approached me, wearing a pink sweater, and a very similar boy following behind her, having to lean down and take a breath.
"Um- Hi- Can I help you-?"
I asked nervously.
"Hi! I'm Mabel, Mabel Pines, and this is my brother! Dipper!"
Mabel responded, introducing the two of them. She put her hand on her brother's back, patting it while he struggled to breathe. I smiled nervously, laughing lightly at Dipper's struggle for breathing.
I could instantly tell their dynamic, Mabel is the heart and Dipper is the brain, Mabel probably drags them into chaos all the time. I really gotta write that dynamic sometime..
"Hi, I'm so sorry about my sister,"
Dipper apologized, standing up to his full height, he's much taller than I thought- He coughed nervously, putting his hands in his pockets and avoiding eye contact.
"Oh, you're alright- You said 'Pines' right-? Are you related to the Mystery Shack guy?"
I asked, being polite.
"Yeah! He's our Great Uncle Stan!"
Mabel smiled, placing her hands on her hips.
"Oh, cool-! So, can I help you with anything-?"
I smiled nervously, not sure what to do.
"Uhh nope! I just wanted to say hi and compliment your sweater!"
Mabel added, having a bit of a jump in her step.
"Oh, I see- Thank you, my sister made it for me."
I laughed awkwardly, holding my grocery bags in both hands in front of me. We stood in awkward silence for a moment, clearing affecting Dipper and I more than Mabel, before I broke it.
"Well, thank you-! It's been a pleasure but I should be off, uh bye-!"
I stammered quickly before walking off around the corner. Once I got around the corner I let out a breath I didn't even know I was holding.
The twins stood there, Mabel and Dipper looking at each other in confusion about the sudden hurry to leave.

PROLOGUE ;; An Axolotl's Assignment
BILL'S P.O.V.
"Ugh.. Wh- Where the fuck am I?!"
Bill slowly woke up, looking around the oddly brightly colored space he was now in. A space of pastel pink and blue dust and gas with stars of various colors, complimented by soft white clouds and mist.
"Calm yourself, Cipher."
A rather old, booming voice called out, sending shivers down the triangular demon's non-existent spine.
"A-Axolotl! How you been, big guy-?!"
The demon asked nervously, turning to face the large amphibian.
"Quite entertained, watching your playful feud with those children."
The Axolotl cooed, covering its mouth with a paw, hiding its laugh which caused Bill to blush from embarrassment, and he crossed his arms.
"It was not a 'playful feud'! Th-Those damn Pines cheated!"
He cursed in a tantrum of anger, and he flailed his stick figure-liked limbs.
"Calm yourself, Cipher. You're little play war is not over yet."
The Axolotl reassured, flying past Cipher and patting his back. He flew over and summoned a small table, with a teapot and tea cups floating above it.
".. What's that supposed to mean?"
The demon asked, floating over and sitting down crossed from the Axolotl, they both picked up their cups and the Axolotl poured them both tea.
"You have unfinished business, Cipher, and you know how I feel about unfinished business. And not just with the Pines."
The Axolotl hummed, sipping from its cup. Bill looked up, a bit worried and confused, waiting for the Axolotl to finish its statement.
"Surely you remember Miss Sphinx, don't you?"
The Axolotl finished sipping from its cup, looking up to make eye contact with Bill, and fear struck his non-existent heart when he heard that name.
"Of course, I remember her, what about it?" He asked, looking back up at the Axolotl.
"Well, what if I told you, she's still alive?"
The Axolotl asked, causing Cipher to perk up.
"What do you mean? The Sphinx's line is dead. It's been dead, for centuries! It died when she cast me to the Second Dimension!"
He yelled, angry from fear.
"It's very alive, Cipher. And, the youngest of the line resides in Gravity Falls. They're very sneaky, hiding in their cute cottage in the forest."
The Axolotl cooed, opening up a space in their 'time and space between time and space' to show a Y/H (Your Height) S/C (Skin Color) human leaning on the wooden railing of a small cottage in the middle of the deep Gravity Falls forests. Bill sat stunned, seeing the birthmark of the Sphinx on the human's forehead.
"How.. How is this possible?!"
He yelled, shocked, confused, and most of all, scared.
"Hear my offer, Cipher."
The Axolotl grounded Cipher back to their conversation, catching the demon's attention.
"I will give you enough power to invade Y/N's dreams and enter the mindscape once more. Make a deal with them, and finish your business."
"And..?"
Cipher asked, a little scared of what the Axolotl's demands will be.
"And nothing. I want you to finish your business, and see where this story continues."
The Axolotl smiles cheekily, and Bill rolls his eyes.
"I'm not some plaything,"
"You sure used those humans like to play things,"
The Axolotl cooes with a smirk, and Bill scoffs.
"What happens, if you don't like the ending?"
"Please, do you think this isn't the first time we've had this conversation?"
The Axolotl smiles, and Bill sighs, before holding his hand out to the Axolotl.
"Deal."
The Axolotl hums, shaking Bill's hand before pulling his finger up in front of Bill, smiling.
"Boop." The Axolotl flicks Bill, and he flies back into the reality and town of Gravity Falls.

Welcome!
So, I've recently been dragged back into my hyperfixation on Gravity Falls, and upon that arose my attraction to Bill Cipher. Of course, I decided to look up any "x Reader" fanfiction I could find, and to my surprise, there is very minimal on here, Wattpad, and AO3 combined.
So, I've taken it upon myself to fix this problem.
Welcome to,
"Desert Eyes."
Y/N Sphinx is a non-binary, unlabeled, hermit author who lives in the forest of Gravity Falls, Oregon. They've lived there all their life, and they weren't seen during Weirdmageddon because they were held up in their shack in the woods. They're kind but pretty antisocial and don't talk much with the townsfolk besides when running errands.
This is a "Bill Cipher X Reader" story, with a hint of "Dipper X Reader" on the side, I plan on writing angst, fluff, and a bit of smut. It is an enemies-to-lovers trope, with Y/N struggling to decide on Bill or Dipper. The angst will include family neglect/abuse, child isolation, family feuds, and Y/N having intense insecurities about themselves and their sexuality. Derealization will be mentioned, such as situations as the universe changing. During smut scenes, their biological sex is not mentioned, so have as much fun as you want with that.
All Chapter Links will be stored on this post, so if you leave the app/page, you can find yourself back where you left off.

And this link brings you to a playlist used to hoard the inspiration, vibe, aesthetic, and plot behind this story! If that's something you're interested in.
(I do not own, nor claim to own, any of the characters mentioned in this blog. All the characters, besides "Y/N Sphinx", are all property owned by Alex Hirsch and Disney. I own nothing but the storyline, writing, and "Y/N Sphinx".)
