so i've been thinking recently about a story my brain spawned during my dnd era involving all the backup characters i never played. and a good amount of the characters i did actually play. i summarized his deal in my previous art post but as a short reintroduction, this is innes! he is a bladesinger wizard and he is wanted by the government for a crime he swears he didn't commit

this story was never conceived as taking place in the forgotten realms, and as i've thought about it it's become more and more divorced from base dnd in the functions of its worldbuilding as well, but given that it's a setting inspired by fire emblem and socially/technologically around equivalent to the 1960s/1910s respectively it wasn't very dnd-like in the first place, was it? ask me enough questions about it and i may be forced to actually start plotting a webcomic

i didn't manage to make all of the ones with text legible but hey, you win some you lose some and honestly when i have to alter the height of the canvas to 3000px and some of the text i have to write is still too small that's pushing the limits of my commitment to detail

elric v. eridanus - he may look like a fire emblem lord, but make no mistake: that is a complete and total coincidence in-universe. he just thinks appearing like that makes him look normal and harmless. he may have gotten a college degree from the setting equivalent of harvard law, but with the way he acts and the things he does for money you’d certainly never guess it

grayson adler - most people might say you shouldn’t bring people back to life because it’s “playing god,” or because “death is what gives life meaning,” but after a tragic incident with truly monstrous interpersonal fallout, grayson has come up with a much simpler reason why you shouldn’t do that: it’s just kind of rude if he’s being honest
