Here's a (super) rough draft of a song I wrote 10 years ago in high school- seemed appropriate to share today.
Lyrics under the cut!
Oh, Soothsayer, tell us what you know
Soothsayer, is it just for show?
Propaganda can shape reality
Make conspirators of devotees
What are we?
And we took turns stabbing the Emperor and watched him bleed before our eyes
and we took turns stabbing the Emperor and watched him bleed on the Ides
On the Ides of March, through the eyes of Mars
On the Ides of March, through the eyes of Mars
Oh, fair citizens, why this animosity?
Fair citizens, we've prevented tyranny
Love your coward, sure, but love us more
Havoc! Let slip the dogs of war
To the sea
And we took turns stabbing the Emperor and watched him bleed before our eyes
and we took turns stabbing the Emperor and watched him bleed on the Ides
Even you, even you, even you, even you
And you hurt worse than all of the others
For he loved you the most and you were just like your brothers
On the Ides of March, through the eyes of Mars
On the Ides of March, through the eyes of Mars
Oooooooh
We can't blame this one on the stars
The fault is ours, the fault is ours
It does not matter how
We are the tyrants now, we are the tyrants now
Even you, even you, even you, even you
And you hurt worse than all of the others
For he loved you the most and you were just like your brothers
On the Ides of March, through the eyes of Mars
On the Ides of March, through the eyes of Mars

A farewell to the last Palestinian crocodile
The Palestinian crocodile went extinct during the British Mandate period of Palestine, it’s last traceable rhetorical circulation to 1935. Here, the crocodile represents the ecological damage of colonialism in Palestine’s indigenous wildlife, which extends to modern day occupied Palestine. [further reading].

19 and 25 for horatia, 36 for fae !
Ooooh these are neat ones, thank you!
19- What do they do when they are overwhelmed?
Horatia has poured a lot of her life into avoiding that feeling; getting a handle on situations quickly is what makes her such an effective captain. In the rare instance that she is wholly overwhelmed, she removes herself from the situation completely, placing someone else in charge. Once alone, she'll sit immobile for hours watching the water, waiting for the next wave to bring her mother.
25- Do they have a party trick?
Yes! Horatia has lots of party tricks! For one, she is an incredible dancer, and loves to lead. She is also very theatrical, and loves to do impressions, especially of people she's killed. She also has a lot of cool moves with her trident, knows a few little magic tricks she's picked up from travels, and can win any staring contest.
36- There is a loud sound in the middle of the night. What is the first thing they reach for?
For most of her story, the first thing Fae would reach for would be her ax. If something is out there, she needs to be sure she hits first. After the campaign, the first thing she reaches for is Vella.
