pre marauders era characters and alcohol hcs

i'm a wee tipsy so here are my favourite pre marauders (my hcs, ik in fanon some of them are placed in the actual marauders era) friend group characters when they're drunk (i'm not gonna talk about getting sick)

amelia: absolute lightweight to the point everyone is making fun of her for it (good for her though save your money). gets from a very talkative tipsy person who laughs a lot to a what the fuck is she saying drunk who can't stop laughing or stand up straight. especially fun to be around when you yourself are not proper drunk

emmeline: surprisingly good at passing off as sober. just gets very loud and her excessive use of moving her hands while talking always gives away she's had a few too many. generally prefers making sure no one is accidentally dying while drunk so stays away from getting super wasted, which she then prefers to do in a place where she know she can spend the night

andromeda: she can count one on hand how many times she's been drunk. usually sticks to no more than two cocktails a night, but as soon as she's had a bit more it's immediately noticeable. giggles so much

ted: loves going out to get wasted with his friends. surprisingly a good dancer up until his fourth drink. then it's just...amusing to watch. so painfully straightforward when intoxicated and always comes up with the weirdest questions

edgar: thinks he's the really cool and laid bad drunk person, but becomes incredibly emotional and tears up at everything. usually ends up on a friend's sofa without remembering how he got there. there's either sober or drunk no in between

hestia: the shy friend who becomes the life of the party with alcohol tm. also very flirty with everyone and always ends up getting a bunch of free drinks. also always ends up getting the worst hangovers, but does that stop her? no.

marlene: does not like getting drunk, but appreciates getting tipsy very much. makes sure to remember all the embarrassing things to remind her friends the next day. mum friend. always makes sure everyone gets home safe and if that means staying sober so it is. only a select few have seen her drunk (definitely amelia after marlene graduated hogwarts and they did a couple too many shots at a muggle pub)

fabian: gets very clingy and affectionate (either romantic or platonic depending on who it is). surprisingly very quiet and observant. when he's wasted his hands are always something that absolutely fascinates him ("it's like tiny arms coming out of my arm!")

gideon: sighs a lot when intoxicated? no one knows why? they sometimes mimic him when he's sober. always comes up with the weirdest fun facts no one knows where he got them from or why the fuck this drunk man suddenly remembers. weirdly entertaining. rarely remembers the night before if he gets really wasted

kingsley: absolute. muggle pub. enthusiast. why? no one knows. he loves them. also loves muggle drinks. drags his friends to a pub once a month. like emmeline very good at seeming to be sober. for the life of him has zero balance once he stands up though

alice: social drinker. only ever has one drink and just enjoys the others stupidity. always takes a camera with her for the really embarrassing things. loves playing along their nonsensical drunk talk

frank: surprisingly a lightweight. gets sleepy immediately and almost always ends up falling asleep by the end of the night before he gets home. talks during his intoxicated sleep. prefers to get a sugar high from butterbeer though ("kingsley stop taking us to pubs without butterbeer i'm begging you!")

pandora: gets one cocktail and one mocktail and then sticks to tap water or butterbeer. always brings potions for her drunk friends for the hangovers (not to point fingers, but absolutely fabian's fault)

sybill: does not drink. ever. has never had a sip. afraid it'll cloud her sight. everyone is always speculating what she'd be like drunk. also how did she get here? oh, right she's a friend of pandora

"No," Emmeline grinned, picking up a box containing documents that were yet to be filed properly. For a brief moment there was silence before she continued, "you're burning up. Go home. I'll take care of it."

"I-" but Amelia knew it was senseless arguing with the Auror. She was way too stubborn; well, both of them were.

"Take care on your way home, silly" she put the box onto the wooden desk with a loud thump, "I'll come over tonight and make you some soup."

And just like that it felt like a revelation in Amelia's mind.

"Oh for Merlin's sake!" Amelia's voice boomed through the living room before she even passed the threshold of the door, "it's got nothing to do with section 32 of the Criminal Law Act of Wizarding Britain from 1837!" She placed one of her massive law books on the coffee table, pinpointing to letters so small Emmeline couldn't make out what they were saying, "instead they should be looking at-"

You, Emmeline thought and kept getting lost in her lover's face who passionately tried to get her law point across while the Auror just smiled at her.

"What?"

"I love you."

It was mid July when the letter came. The heat was almost unbearable and Amelia did not feel like getting off of the sofa to grab the letter her owl just delivered.

"Oh why can't you come here and bring it?" she sighed, "I really don't envy you for flying around in this heat. You should take some time to relax, mh?"

The owl obviously didn't answer so Amelia sat up and walked the couple steps towards the window sill.

It was from Moody. Just three words scribbled on the paper. "They got her."

Amelia knew immediately.

susan was born on 24th june 1980 and her middle name is daisy, after her mother

she was named susan after her paternal aunt amelia bones (not so much a hc i guess)

susan's parents died in early june 1980, before the infamous order photo was taken

her mother was a muggle and her father was not an order member because his priority was keeping his family safe

susan has no recollection of anyone in her family besides her aunt amelia, who took her in shortly before her first birthday, and has raised her ever since

she's really interested in her family's history and writes down any questions she has and the answers she gets

susan was officially adopted by amelia in 1982, after the end of the war

susan's closest friend is hannah abbott

generally, when talking about her aunt she refers to her as 'auntie', but in hannah's presents she calls her 'mum'

she got her father's old gryffindor scarf and always has it in her bed to hold onto it while falling asleep

for her 11th birthday she got a photo album filled with old photos of mainly her parents, but also other deceased members of the bones family

unlike her father and aunt she's not particularly interested in quidditch. after she tried out for the hufflepuff team she fell off her broom and got a nasty concussion

susan was born in southeast england and raised by amelia in central london

she went to a muggle primary school and absolutely hated it even though as she got older she appreciates having been brought up in both worlds

after amelia's death in 1996 she inherits her wand

next to her father's old gryffindor scarf in her bed she also puts her aunt's hufflepuff one

susan also put a photo of amelia on her nightstand at hogwarts

from the point of her mother figure's death she starts referring to her as 'mum' to everyone all the time

susan does not step into her aunt's footsteps at the ministry, knowing her aunt would have not wanted for her to be stuck in a job she isn't interested in

susan opened up a herbology related shop in hogsmeade instead

she is the maid of honour at hannah's and daphne's wedding

she ends up marrying neville and they have two daughters called amelia and alice

i feel like i need to say this because people are getting really entitled to head canons on tiktok and they’re getting pressed when someone doesn’t head canon the same thing or same characterization as them for anyone. It’s annoying me, the marauders fandom was built on head canons and that’s why it’s fun, not everyone is going to agree with your hcs and that’s okay, but you have no right to force anyone to agree with you and you definitely don’t get to dismiss other people’s hcs just because they’re not the same as yours (as long as they’re not problematic takes ofc), if you don’t agree with someone move on, let the person who they’re meant to enjoy them and look for the content you enjoy instead of forcing your opinions on other people. Most of us are in this fandom to have fun so let’s not forget that it’s all made up and get pressed about silly things like houses and characterizations because if we wanted to have a solid definition to everything we would’ve sticked to canon but guess what? we don’t want that.
