a warm, nostalgic google doc template inspired by private detectives, and crime investigation! this template follows the collection of information on your muse from the lens of a private detective, through things such as letters, newspapers and official medical documents. this template features space for long writing as well! the template and a full page-by-page preview can be found in the link above or in the source code.

features:

8 unique 14" x 8.5" pages, all with hand-crafted full-page background images

short and long sections, an extra long backstory section, and multiple spaces for pictures

a large array of thematic page types and elements — letters, post-it notes, newspaper clippings, and evidence sheet which can be used to include ooc information or give more atmospheric depth to the template

some elements (muse pictures, text on backing post-it notes, date on envelope, and items in evidence ziploc bag) that can be customized in google drawings

placeholder images from mike von on unsplash — please change it out to fit your muse!

terms of use:

you may edit to your heart’s desire. Change the colours, replace, add or remove elements and images etc.

you may remix pages with pages from my other templates.

you may not remove the credit from the templates.

you may not copy, sell or redistribute my templates whether wholesale, in part (i.e. taking out certain pages) or remixed (i.e. modified).

hello everyone! i've got a new doc for you guys today! spring break is incoming, so i've got something for you guys to enjoy! aura maris is a beige-themed aesthetic doc, single muse as usual. there are some drawings involved but its mostly easy to edit!

INSTRUCTIONS

To prevent people from making copies of your docs select the blue SHARE button in the top right corner of your doc hit the settings gear on the right corner of the pop-up UNCHECK the box that says "Viewers and commenters can see the option to download, print, and copy" As usual, please do not remove the credits. stealing my work is not cool and if you do use this template, don't forget to reblog and like!

This is a single-column Tumblr theme with a choice between left or right sidebar, and body font + accent font (Google fonts) of your choosing. Full support of npf posts. Optional dark/light mode toggle and update tab available.

Navigation: An unlimited display of native Tumblr pages (Learn how they work in my helpdesk here). Custom label for home + ask + archive link.

Sidebar Image icon: Choose between sizes 80x80px/100x100px/120x120px. Choose a shape between shapes square, rounded, circle or blob. Separate icons for light and dark mode! But If you want the same icon, simply upload it twice.

Dark Mode: If you decide to offer dark mode, it detects if the visitor’s operating system is on dark mode, and displays that choice at the first visit - of course with the option to toggle the other mode on/off.

Icon change for update tab: To change the icons, go to https://tabler.io/icons and simply copy the name of the icon like so:

Via/source links are on permalink pages

to hide the archive link, simply delete the text in the field.

Submit-link and ask-link only shows if toggled on in your blog's settings.

Little Update

Research is going well and the staff at the study site is already super happy with my system, and I've finished some writing (will write some more the next days, as the deadline is nearing).

Also making good progress with a theme update, might be able to publish it this week. 🩵
