Best to worst Akatsuki boyfriends, go!

Ooooh ok this is tough. I will rate them, but some can definitely overlap! I decided to describe these based on the idea that it is possible to date them, even though some of them in canon are basically undatable haha!

Kisame: Kisame would be the best boyfriend, man. Really sweet and gets embarrassed easily from cuddles. Can carry you around. Nice muscles. Doesn’t mind making friends. Good boy. He deserves love and endless affection. He has insecurities about himself, so you’d have to encourage him a lot. But he is very stable and loyal. Pleasant to be around in general. A good life partner.

Konan: (including her cause yeah). She would make a caring partner. She is tricky to woo, but if successful, you have really won a prize! She seems cold on the outside, but is capable of making anyone swoon. Would protect you with her life. Very devoted partner. Also, bomb ass eyeshadow and boots. Yum.

Deidara: Dei is a friendly, outgoing guy! One of the least likely to kill you on the spot! A bit mischievous and likely has trouble staying interested after a long period of time. Wants the chase. Still young and very virile. The most passionate! A huuuge charmer. So you have to play games with him to keep him focused on you. Needs a lot of affirmation. If you can maintain a relationship for a long period of time, he would be very loyal and follow you like a puppy dog. Gives gifts.

Itachi: What a nice guy. Acts tough but is actually mush. You have to deal with his horrible PTSD and other issues, but I think a lot of people would be willing to give it a go. Soft boy with layers. Takes time to get him to open up to you, but is honest and sweet. Also has horrible self image, so his partner would have to make sure he knows he deserves a relationship. If he is comfortable, he has a little bit of a naughty side. Likes to tease. Bonus points if you love listening to him give random fun facts. Dork.

Kakuzu: Old grump. Probably a beast in the sheets. Has anger issues, but if you have the right personality type, you are likely to be safe from his wrath. Total tsundere. Wants to have an intelligent conversation with you on ninja politics. Likes books. Basically, a nerd. Tough to love at some points, but he has a soft side (if you dig really really deep!) Likely to have a really hot physical relationship, and the trick is to make it more than just that!

Hidan: Really hot, but crazy! Will likely end up sacrificing you or leaving you when you won’t convert. If you manage to get past these issues, then he can be adorable. Very dynamic, and will obsess over you if you pique his interest. Attempts to display affection in horrible ways (bloody presents). Awkward with romance, but tries. A lovable idiot with a great butt. Sometimes says something profound. Wild card, honestly. 

Pain: Total narcissist. Has no time to love you because he’s too busy calling himself a god- not very attractive. But if you want to go for it, it’s possible to gain his interest. Just tell him what he wants to hear, and he will be extremely protective of you. This could be good or bad. Also, there’s the whole corpse/malnourished-man-strapped-to-a-machine thing. But on the plus side, he can be sweet. Would be a gift-giver. Very intense and romantic with his words (great with speeches!).

Zetsu: His venus fly trap things get in the way of intimacy, unless he splits up. Eats people, so you’ll have to be chill with that. If you only love one of them, that will be awkward. But Zetsu may be capable of love. White Zetsu would be blushy and awkward while black Zetsu would be a devil. Bonus points if you love plants.

Sasori: Psychopathic puppet man may be the forbidden fruit, but he’s forbidden for a reason. Will likely make you a puppet. And if he doesn’t, he probably sucks at showing affection or intimacy of any kind. Almost impossible to pique his interest, let alone maintain it. If by some miracle, you get past the endless walls he puts up, he would actually be a passionate partner (but awkward about how to express that passion). Very devious and forward. Probably kinky. Still might kill you. 

Tobi/Obito: This guy has so many issues. Personality disorder? Really creepy obsessive. Can’t stop talking about Rin. Wants to kill everyone. Manipulates teenagers in his free time. Kidnapped a baby once. If you love him, he is capable of caring for you. Obito still has a direct, honest side to him, deeeeeep down. But he is unstable, and controlling. Thinks he knows best. Doesn’t communicate, just acts- jumps to conclusions. 

Orochimaru: Will probably kill you after horrible torture. Worse than Sasori. You would have to be cool with a lot of child abuse… He’s also creepy, even if he does have awesome eyeliner. I mean, you do you, but yikes. A relationship with him is risky, and he also knows jack squat about love in general. Even Sasori hates him. If for some reason, he develops feelings for you, he wouldn’t even know what those feelings were. Would sacrifice a child in your honor? Make a clone of you? Anyway, he would express those feelings in a weird way.

Im creating an original character to pair with Sasori, please tell me a list of personality traits that he’d like! :)

There’s canon Sasori and younger, human Sasori, and they are different in terms of challenge. I will go with canon Sasori (the 35 year old puppet version) for now, and I can give details on his younger self if that is the one you’re interested in.

Canon Sasori basically requires someone who can’t die LOL. Someone who is immune to poisons, or is somehow his worst type of opponent in battle. He needs to respect this person’s strength. He looks down on humans and thinks he is better than them. So this oc must be strong as a ninja (he has zero interest in normal people), and also must be brilliant in a craft of some kind, and be able to challenge his dominance in conversation.

Someone with a personality like Deidara’s, however, is too neurotic and poking, and will end up killed by Sasori 😂 Sasori would value someone with a consistent, logical way of thinking. So not too over the top- someone with a pleasant, calming presence, who still holds their ground. If the character is too aggressive or childish, he will not be interested in them.

Sasori must also feel safe with this person, and Sasori’s trust must be earned. His whole life, he was alone, and raised to kill. He will need to know this character means him no harm, or he won’t go near them.

Sasori in canon is pretty much asexual, but he could possibly be interested in a physical relationship ONLY after creating a bond with someone. He is demisexual for sure. He would be attracted to the mind and capacity to appreciate art, especially his own. A physical relationship is possible, and could be close to a normal one or not, depending on your hcs for his body. But he will always prefer giving to receiving.

The only way to woo Sasori is to coax him into seeking your oc’s affection through words of affirmation and appreciation for his work. It also helps if he needs them for something.

An example scenario is your oc is a target for him and he is surprised to find his attempt didn’t work for some reason. Another would be he needs your oc for information, and the character entices him with words over time. It doesn’t matter if your oc is beautiful physically- he will only appreciate it if he’s already obsessed.

Most importantly, no matter what, this character must get past the phase where he wants them as a puppet. This person must mean more to him alive than dead.

This is very hard, and he is by no means easy 😂 He is one of the most psychopathic characters in the show, so it would take a lot for him to care.

So basically: strong, level-headed, intelligent, good at conversation. Sasori appreciates sarcasm as well, so if your oc can make him chuckle like an old man does, that’s good too! Resilience and unbridled optimism are sort of required to seek Sasori, because he’s clueless. The character will get along with him more if they allow him to dominate them after a bit of a “fight”. Emotional intelligence is also a good perk.

Reminder you can write your oc in whatever way brings you joy, these are simply things I’ve thought of over the years! Thank you!

Note: Physical Touch in this is used non-sexually overall. Like hugging, cuddling, forehead kisses, etc

Sasori: Words of affirmation above all (and intelligent conversation)! I mean, he dislikes attention in general, so it’s hard to imagine him liking much else 😂 If you can think of a gift he would like, he would very much appreciate that. Under specific circumstances, like AUs, Sasori would also love physical touch (canon 35 year old Sasori really has no interest in relationships in general). He would find acts of service demeaning- he can do it all himself, and in his mind, better. He likes quality time, but also disappears for days on end working on his corpse puppets or killing people to make them into corpse puppets 😍 You gotta be cool with that and tell him they’re awesome.

Deidara: Physical touch, words of affirmation, and quality time- he is literally a princess and requires constant attention 😂 There aren’t many services he would expect from you, he just wants you to tell him he’s amazing and rub his back for hours (maybe that’s the act of service lol). He also would love gifts, and definitely enjoys giving them! Very easy to please and validate!

Hidan: Words of affirmation and quality time! He is a dog! He loves physical touch too, but feels religious guilt for it 😂 His religion is founded on worshipping destruction, and I think love and sex are the opposite of that and frowned upon. Hidan wouldn’t appreciate a nice gift enough, so don’t waste your time (unless it’s a trip to the hot springs or pomade). He would appreciate an act of service like cooking meat for him, or converting, so he doesn’t have to kill you 👍

Kakuzu: Acts of service and, if he trusts you, physical touch (he is very deprived of real affection and would dislike it initially). Kakuzu would also appreciate the gift of a good book! He does not require a lot of attention to maintain his interest if you got him, and though quality time is nice, it isn’t something he values much (once a month lol). He values intellectual conversation more than actual affirmation. Note, a hookup with Kakuzu is easy, and I’m referring to vulnerable physical affection, like snuggling.

Itachi: Gifts, quality time, and lastly, physical touch- he will feel more comfortable receiving physical affection after you spend lots of time convincing him he deserves it. Words of affirmation must be used in small doses or he will reject them. He would like giving gifts more than receiving them, same with acts of service. He is emotionally sensitive and considerate, so he will mirror what you give him and more.

Kisame: Quality time and physical touch. Kisame is a good boyfriend who is generally content and if you’re just nice to him, he’ll be ecstatic. Like Itachi, he might need some small doses of words of affirmation before accepting them as truth. Expect lots of bear hugs and being carried around! The only gifts he cares about are good food, and time with you! He expects no acts of service, but would appreciate you caring for him- all of these people have had hard lives and are comfortable doing everything themselves.

Konan: Gifts and acts of service. Physical touch is earned with her. She is a queen, so she already has whatever she wants, so sentimental gifts are best (but she would love designer). Honestly, she would care more about acts of service you offer to others more than herself. She is attracted to people who display character. Quality time is also nice, but not the top. You have to be good in bed to date her, and she likes giving caring touch to her partners, as well as receiving it. Words of affirmation are appreciated, but don’t overdue it. She’s heard it all, and likes action more than talking.

Nagato: Words of affirmation and quality time. Nagato has a god complex, so just nod and agree with whatever he says, and he will feel so valued 😂 He will shower you with gifts, but won’t expect any in return. Like Sasori and Kakuzu, intelligent conversation is also the key to his heart. Nagato would also value acts of service towards his people. Acts of service involving himself would make him feel guilty. If we are going for sickly Nagato, he would struggle with physical touch at first, but accept it gladly after you gain his trust.

Obito: Words of affirmation, physical touch, acts of service . Also has a god complex, so just tell him whatever he wants to hear and treat him like a king. Before he went nuts, he was a golden retriever, so he probably loves head scratches and tenderness. A good gift might make him giddy as well. Quality time is not his top, cause he’s too busy trying to plan mass genocide, but of course you will have endless time together in the infinite tsukuyomi, so no worries! I’m throwing shade cause he would be a taker instead of a giver 🤪

Orochimaru: Gifts, of course! Weird taxidermy, expensive wine, statues of snakes for his lair, live snakes, stolen research, etc. You will be favored if you give lots of words of affirmation. He has no time for quality time, and you will always be sad and lonely while he experiments on children. He doesn’t feel like the type care much about physical touch, but acts of service are great!

Zetsu: Gifts (corpses of course!) Quality time feels like a favorite of theirs, they seem content to sit around and chill. Don’t be surprised if they kill you, they aren’t quite human anyway. Acts of service are also appreciated! Perhaps some gossip? Zetsu doesn’t seem like the type to value words of affirmation too much (especially Black Zetsu), and hcs for physical touch can go opposite directions.

Who is stronger, Sasori or Deidara? I believe sasori. What do you think?

Oh Sasori, and it’s not a contest. Deidara is insanely strong, and I have made several posts about his impressive set of abilities. Deidara would be the worst opponent for most of the Naruto cast, but Sasori would be able to to defeat him.

I mean, firstly, there’s the poison, and the practical impossibility of dodging all of his attacks. But Sasori is also busted in general. He has a collection of 300 puppets that all have whatever jutsu he deemed good enough to use. Sasori on paper can posses ANY jutsu. Also he has endless chakra supply. He uses genjutsu too, but more than that, his battle experience is insanely vast and he is tricky and brilliant. Sasori is also a long distance combat user like Deidara, and he is one of the few who can match him at his own game.

Deidara is honest when he says Sasori is stronger than him. In the data books, Deidara is a 32.5, which is similar to Chiyo (which is VERY strong.) Sasori is a 34.5, which is on par with the Sannin and Itachi. Sasori only died because of a lot of lucky circumstances on Chiyo and Sakura’s part. And Chiyo is Akatsuki level. For Reference, Kisame is also a 32.5. The stats can be debated some, but I would say overall, they make sense.

Lastly, Sasori’s battle against Chiyo and Sakura did not showcase everything he can do, and he would be able to kill pretty much anyone premeditated. Deidara would be able to escape though haha!
