I know it's not about Colress or Maxie but can I ask about the story behind Grimsley and Tabitha? They are like super cute and I would like to know what headcanons you have for them if that's okay!!

Hi! Thank you so much for your question, anon!

I'll start up here with a very shortened out version on how they came to be, and include some headcanons under the read more :)

Their meeting actually hinged pretty hard on Colress joining team Magma. Grimsley and Colress, of course, knew one another from Unova, but went from enemies to friends during their time on Alola. (There's a reason he went to Alola in our AU, but I'll keep that under lock a little longer ;))

It takes a while for Grimsley to find out that Colress left for Hoenn, but when he does, he decides to follow him there. Tabitha and Grimsley meet then; when Colress and him drive to Slateport to go pick Grim up. Maxie hesitantly agrees to let Grimsley stay at the magma base for a while, but since he's not actively working with them, he can't stay with the grunts. Colress, Maxie, and Courtney all vehemently refuse to let Grimsley stay with them, so Tabitha, being just a big soft jovial guy, decides to take on that mantle

Over time, the two grow a lot closer, and they go out on little nightly adventures. Bars, arcades, the occasional casino, but also just walks and other more down to earth stuff. They bond especially well over doing double battles together. It's after a good while of this that Tabitha realizes he has feelings for Grimsley.

Though Tabitha was completely sure that Grimsley would be completely out of his league, some unexpected happenings (Once again, this is for later!) lead to a confession from him, after which Grim is more than happy to admit that the feeling is mutual. The moment they became official, they made it everyone's problem, and they continue to do so.

Again, this is a very short and summarized version of the whole ordeal, but I hope it somewhat answers your question! As promised, headcanons below!

They never stopped going on adventures together, even once they became a couple. Tabitha did put his foot down about the casino visits, but compromised by going to arcades more often. That way, it's fun for both of them, and there's a lot less risk involved Their favorite activity, however, is karaoke!

They are incredibly affectionate, and not at all shy about PDA. Colress in particular gets sick of them, since he's seated so close to Tabitha during work.

Speaking of work, Grimsley never did join Team Magma, but due to his relation with Tabitha, he's able to stay at the hideout. Grimsley himself works for the Unova League again, though this time, at a distance.

He also comes to 'bother' Tabitha at work, which usually involves him coming to sit on his lap and spend most of the day simply sitting there.

Grimsley is still a somewhat troubled individual, but Tabitha is there for him the whole way. They balance one another out very well.

Grimsley gave Tabitha an Archen from a fossil he won in a bet with Lenora years ago. That Archen, now Archeops, is still part of Tabitha's team!

Blog update!

Hello everyone! I first want to take a moment to thank everyone for all the love this blog has received so far! Your support means the world!✨ We look forward to providing you all with more content in the future!

I figured now would be a good time to write an update regarding the future of the blog, as there's going to be a few changes. You can find the details under the read more!

From this point on, the blog will not only be about the Feralscience/Holisticshipping aspect of the alternate universe we've made, but about the entire AU that we have written. We've been vaguely hinting towards this for a while, but we feel it's easier to tell the full story of the AU without needing to only dance around Colress and Maxie's relationship. The primary focus surrounding this AU is still Colress and Maxie and their relationship, but there will be features of other characters, too! Look forward to seeing some of your favorites! It's a pretty mixed bag to say the least.

Blog/AU introduction will be deleted and rewritten to fit the new extended purpose for the blog better. Also... Because I feel I've gotten a better grip on how Tumblr works, and there's no way around it but that the old one is... A bit ugly.

We will likely be focusing more on interacting with asks towards characters directly. We'll likely be writing a guide pretty soon as to what characters will be available and a small ruleset. We don't expect super much traction on this yet, since we're a relatively small blog, but we think for those that do enjoy interacting with characters it'll be more engaging and fun.

There's a small chance this blog will begin to feature written pieces, too. These will be posted on AO3, then linked here.
