Oh, I see, I missed that. So it’s most definitely him.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ll be happy if he’s alive, I love him to death, but in all my years in reading manga, it never goes well when any of my favorite characters gets more screen time. The more they get the more chances the mangaka gets to screw with me.

momoyama terumi is still alive, isn't he? kuchiba's hitman employee/partner with no memories looks p familiar.

I hope not, honestly. It probably is him since he’s got no arm. But..

How do you get squished by a huge block so that your arm comes off, cleanly, but the rest of you survives with just a scar? So since his arm got cut off, Kuchiba couldn’t have saved him last minute or he would still have his arm. Plus we saw him right after the Murder Party waiting for her. I don’t think that would be enough time to piece together a Franken-Terumi. Plus his hair looks a lot longer…

His memory loss too. Would you need to also get crushed or something for that shit to happen? I guess he could have just been playing the dumb cage fighter part, and that would account for the memory loss. So he didn’t actually have to get crushed to forget his memories, and it was something before that.

Anyway, you probably didn’t want to read all that. In short it probably is him. Yoshimura has a lot of explaining to do, if it is. And I hope my big loud dummy doesn’t get tainted if his backstory/character is fleshed out.

Only in the racist ass Dragon Age fandom will a white fangirl brazenly call incidents of racist aggression and harassment and bullying “DRAMA.”

Like if that ain’t a quintessential example of white privilege right there I don’t know what to tell you.

I wish racism and bigotry could be oversimplified and boiled down to drama. I wish I could just easily flounce away from it all when it occurs. But unfortunately, I’m Black. Visibly Black. And I’m a Black woman who makes visibly Black female characters so…

Yeah, it’s not drama when white girls are allowed to literally threaten me for speaking out (I’m half-tempted to post a screenshot of that email, it was pretty extensive). It’s not drama when white fans are allowed to thieve my entire works and get accolades for the pieces they Frankensteined together to create a pale imitation of the original with impunity and not accountability even after I confront them about it (got screenshots of that too). It’s not drama when every time I speak up about these things, I get shouted down and told to “fuck off back to Africa” or something similar (one need only comb my blog to find that incident). It’s not drama when I and my character get called every slur in the book (one need only check the comments section on that gross ass Vivienne fic to see it in action).

So no, it doesn’t amount to “just drama” for me and others like me. If that were the case, I could easily solve that problem by blocking the entire fandom en masse. Unfortunately, fandom is an overwhelmingly white space, so there’s no place for me and mine to really go.

So you’re either going to face the fact that you’re contributing to the problem and SOLVE IT, or you can face the fact that you’re a racist jerkoff who is completely fine maintaining the status quo since the “drama” doesn’t have real-world effects for you.

Either way the responsibility of making fandom a genuinely safe and welcoming space for Black and brown fans is on you…the privileged and perpetrators of toxic ideologies that contribute to the issue.
