ashes
long past burning out,
i am ashes.
my soul is ashen red sand
that stretches miles in all directions.
it’s too hot to touch,
yet it meets your feet as honored guests.
it’s that upon which
only your shadow rests.
its defies your perceptions
when you see its shimmering valleys
from the recalcitrant hills up which
you keep traveling.
it’s this secretive thing
before you unraveling,
empty but huge,
lifeless but wild,
silent but true.
fires burn out
and ice sheets will crack,
but my relentless desert soul
will persist to the
end of the world and back.
will you?

"resentment is like taking poison and expecting somebody else to die,"
my first therapist told me. i was 16.
if it is indeed poison, then i have built up immunity
with constant small doses.
those i resent have no such luxury.
so, i know
when i spit that poison
right back in their face,
they will not take it
with my level of grace.

body parts - zine coming may 1st.
do you like queer poetry?
do you want to see a mediocre artist trying their very best?
do you hate the medical system? do you want to be seen as a whole body and not just a pile of body parts?
or maybe you just wanna watch the world burn.
then this zine could be for you. i cant say it cures or treats a disease, but the FDA can't stop me from saying it will make you healthier.
dm me if you want to know more or want a paper copy.

when we lose another sibling
CONTENT WARNING: death. proceed with care and be kind to yourself.
when we lose another sibling
(and we surely will),
i want you to go outside
and cry
and cry
and cry
and cry.
when we lose another sibling
i want you to scream
at the top of your lungs:
THEY DID NOT DESERVE TO DIE.
when we lose another sibling
i want you to shout yourself hoarse
at this vast
indifferent abyss:
IT DID NOT HAVE TO BE LIKE THIS.
when we lose another sibling
i want you to gather flowers
and palm fronds
and fill the street with mourning.
when we lose another sibling
i want you to say their names.
when we lose another sibling
i want you to give the world
a warning:
THINGS WILL NOT BE THE SAME.
----------------------------------------------------------
SAY THEIR NAMES.
Over the past year, these trans and nonbinary people died under violent circumstances in the United States.

announcing my first zine!
you might notice that a lot of my recent work has had Body Parts for titles.
this is because i have been working on a Zine, which will contain versions of all of those pieces and more.
the Zine is called Body Parts!
it will contain revisions of my recent poetry and essays, and visual art done by me.
there will be a print and a digital version. it will be FREE.
i have not set a due date and i don't know when it will be finished. but when it's finally done, i will post a link here. i might post some previews here, too.
if you would like me to mail you a physical copy, DM me and we can arrange something.
Much Love. Free Palestine.
June.

shoutout to people who lay in bed all day when they get home from work/school, people who can't go to loud or crowded places or concerts, people who change into pajamas because other clothes are uncomfortable, people who can't consistently participate in hobbies, people who have to turn down hanging out with friends, people who have lowered their standards to improve themselves, people who need affirmations, and people who struggle to stay healthy. you deserve so much love and I hope things get better.
