Ok so this post is extremely long and I put it all together for my blogs Feeling sad page but as I don’t have a huge amount of followers I realize so many people are not seeing this information so I’m posting it here too!
alternatives without harming yourself:
holding/squeezing ice.
splashing your face with water.
getting a rubber band and snapping it against your skin (this could hurt, though it’s better than other ways that people usually choose to self-harm).
take a hot shower or bath.
eat something sour. it will take your mind of the urge. (lemon, sour lollies)
massage where you want to self-harm.
get a red pen or red paint and draw/paint over where you usually self-harm.
remind yourself as to why you shouldn’t do it. (scars, harms organs, leave memories etc…)
describe what you are feeling. (is the urge/pain in your chest, fists, legs, arms, head).
killing yourself will not help. it is not a solution.
you have your whole life ahead of you. you have so many more years that you can accomplish things in.
for example;
having a family.
getting married.
to watch the sun rise.
to watch the sun set.
to save someone else’s life.
finish school.
get your dream job.
to laugh.
to smile.
to go camping.
travel to new places.
to wake up every morning to the person you love.
friends.
family.
to keep that promise you made.
to accomplish a goal.
to meet your idol.
to listen to new music.
theme parks.
video games.
chocolate.
to be able to look back and say “i made it”.
what you’re going through is temporary.
in case you need to hear this:

you are wanted.
you are needed.
you are beautiful.
you are handsome.

Long time no see lmao BUT I wanted to pop on here to share something with my fellow readers: Amazon is the parent company of Goodreads. I try not to support Amazon, so I decided to switch to a website called The StoryGraph! It is similar to Goodreads (created by Nadia Odunayo, who was annoyed by some aspects of Goodreads), and you can even import some info from Goodreads onto StoryGraph (such as which books you have already read)! The company is owned by Odunayo and her partner. So, if you don't want to support Amazon, or simply wish to support more black-owned businesses, I'd recommend trying out StoryGraph (personally, I also prefer the design of the website of StoryGraph). I haven't seen anyone yet talk about this on here, so I wanted to share it!

I would do anything to get fanart of Jordelia's wedding or them fighting demons. Or just the two of them together with the merry thieves and Lucie
i don't hate the jordelia artwork we got but i wish artists could draw something other the the whispering room scene or the bed scene in choi. i feel cordelia is more sexualized than other main characters from cassie clare and that's highly disappointing (especially because she's the first main character that's not white in one of her books) if there are going to be more jordelia drawings please let it be of them playing chess, or their wedding reception, or them fighting demons!!

Someone take my account away from me because I have more (prepare yourselves because my imaginings are just super cliché):
- Imagine Cordelia and James sitting on the sofa, reading, and then James falling asleep with his head in Cordelia's lap and her running her hands through his hair
- The merry thieves organizing a surprise party for Lucie and Cordelia (I think this has been mentioned somewhere?)
- You know what would be really cool and also really unrealistic? If Cordelia could make a ”Thor arrives in Wakanda”-type of appearance somewhere or just another super cool appearance/arrival because that girl would absolutely kill it and have all eyes on her
- Lucie and Cordelia having a deep talk and telling each other everything and Cordelia would admit that she felt a bit insecure ab their friendship when she heard what Lucie had done with Grace but then them comforting each other and talking sh*t about James and Jesse
- James and Matthew talking. I cannot even imagine everything they'd say to each other but I need that scene. Now.
- Also imagine James somehow learning how Daisy had imagined him married to Grace and having beautiful children and living on Curzon street with her and James being absolutely appalled because those are things he wants to do with Cordelia
- Cordelia not showing much emotion dueing her father's funeral bc she's a warrior and just wants to be strong for her mother but then being exhausted by the end of the day and talking it out with James who also tells her about what Elias said to James but I have no idea what would happen then?
- Once they have talked everything out and confessed their love to each other, they would sleep in the same bed (in James's room? Or Cordelia's?) and just hold each other tight and being so relieved for finally being able to hold each other and kiss each other and just look at each other
- James teaching Cordelia to waltz? Because if I remember correctly her mother didn't want her to learn those kinds of dances but she danced that with James anyway when she arrived in London so he could teach her more?
As you can probably tell I loved Chain of Iron because of all the domestic fluff and angst and comfort in it and I just want more of that

- Jordelia explaining the whole gracelet thing to their families ESPECIALLY WESSA my heart I feel like they would be so sad that their son has had to go through all that but also so happy that he found Daisy and also they love Daisy so much and are saddened to see that she had to go through a fake engagement and marriage but are so grateful that she saved James and are overall happy to hear that they still love each other bc those to especially Will ship them so hard and now I'm really rambling ok
Bonus: I want to see if Cordelia wants to be referred to as Cordelia Carstairs or Cordelia Herondale (or Carstairs-Herondale?) now that their relationship is a bit complicated
