Rebooting the ‘Hood

Ok, guys. I think I should tell you all something: I created Neighbors. And to this point, I want it to be a fanfiction that’s both enjoyable to the audience and myself as well. I know it was started as an extension of my interpretation of @princesscallyie‘s next genverse (which is phenomenal, btw) but after some thinking and the re-discovery of my first OTP, Dextercup and the desire to achieve ideas that I couldn’t possibly do in her verse, I’m officially rebooting Neighbors and it will be officially part of my genverse, the Cappyverse. For now, stay tuned, fellow followers. Things are going to get interesting.

It was four in the morning that he got up, there was only the sound of birds chirping. Putting on his clothes Lucius grabs his bag and takes a morning stroll He takes the beaten path into the forest looking around.

A blue jay and a cardinal few past him, he samples the sounds of mother nature’s symphony. the leaves crunching behind his feet, the soft breeze blowing his hair, and the squirrels traveling tree to tree.  He stops to take a break, sitting on a sturdy log he takes out some beef jerky and takes a bite out of it.

“This is nice” He comments taking in the ambient of the forest, suddenly he hears a rustling in the bushes. Standing up he slowly walks up towards them, pushing the leaves apart he sees a skunk sniffing about looking for some food.   “Hey there little guy ya hungry?” He asks the creature as it hesitated, Lucius rips a small piece offering it to the small mephitis. it takes the piece of jerky before going its separate way.

He went back to the log looking up in the sky which was painted in dawn red, the creatures were waking up ready to start the day with their chattering and foraging of nuts and berries, “It’s mornings like this that makes ya closer to the natural world” he comments breathing in the fresh air. As he sits back on the log he thinks about how in the world of nature it contradict itself, it was gentle yet fights to survive it could be quiet one minute and the next filled with sounds.

“It must be nice to live in the tree, high on top of the leaves to see above the world” He thinks to himself He takes a few pictures before going back home to the city.
