a very interesting brand of old hollywood horror is the one that doesn't deliver the very concept it promises it will. ghost ship is not, in fact, about a ghost ship. she-wolf is not, in fact, about a female werewolf. mark of the vampire is not, in fact, about a vampire of any sort. leopard man is not, in fact, about a leopard-man monster. curse of the cat people is, not only not about a curse of the cat people, but not even a horror film to begin with. and just to be clear, these are all films i love very much. i just find this stuff hilarious
