The Lay of the Children of Húrin
fol. 4v
Description:
Verses 118–135 of the Lay of the Children of Húrin:
To the left, three Balrogs brandish whips and flails. In front of them, Morgoth stands talking to Húrin who is chained to a rock. Symbolically shielded by Húrin, Elves hide in the hills. To the right Thingol sits on his throne in Menegroth.

Thank you! :)
it is Armenian/Eastern Mediterranean needlelace. I've never tried netted lace, but from a quick image search it looks quite interesting (if a little less versatile than knotted needlelace). I should give it a try some day!
more lace!

since the tiny home-spun-cotton lace now has OVER 5000 NOTES (which is mad) and there are new people around (which is nice), let me self-reblog the piece of lace I'm the most proud of :D
