We've all been wanting to get out again and rally for a cause, here is your chance. October 10th!! Deets are listed in the photo. ❤ Introducing R U T H!!! ❤ R U T H is an incredible wife, mother, grandmother and teacher.  She taught art and math for 20 years, art is still a passion of hers to this day. R U T H was diagnosed originally with breast cancer in 2008 and beat it. In March of 2020, after surviving a serious fall and subsequent brain surgery, she noticed a bone growth on her right shoulder. After X-rays, PET scans and eventually a biopsy she discovered in September that the cancer had returned and had metastasized to her bones and spinal column. R U T H is currently undergoing treatment with the Utah Cancer Specialists where they are treating her cancer with Fulvestrant (Faslodex) shots and the new Ibrance pill. The combination of the two treatments has the promising ability to prolong her life from 24-36 months. She had her first shot Sept. 30th of this year.  This pill is incredibly expensive. It is about Eight to Twenty-one thousand dollars for 21 pills and is taken month to month as long as the body responds positively. Giving her this pill depends on our ability to find funding for it. R U T H by nature is a fighter, has a very strong will and with great determination is eager to move forward and fight this yet again. Our sweet and beautiful Margaret passed away May 12th, 2020. Margaret was our master crocheter, we used to crochet/knit once a month together. All together she probably gave us over 1,000 crocheted beanies to donate to @huntsmancancerinstitute . A couple of weeks ago, she called and said goodbye. It was gut wrenching to hear your sweet friend say "goodbye, I will probably pass away in a couple of days." She proceeded to tell me she had fluid in her body from cancer around her liver, kidneys and stomach. They had drained her 2 times already. I cried hearing her sweet voice explain everything to me. This shows how caring she is and so thoughtful. Today we were able to go visit her grave in the Salt Lake City Cemetery. Her sweetheart and her are buried across the way from the veterans area. He served out great country. What a perfect place to be laid to rest. Stella just laid there and hugged Margaret, we all love her so much.
