me: while unacceptable, this is understandable and makes sense given the circumstances of her character. she's at her lowest point and her been worn down with anxiety and depression all book. she's not lashing out because she doesn't care about leafpool, she's lashing out because she's tormented with the knowledge of her own impending death and the possible danger to her friends and family if leafpool runs away right now- this doesn't excuse her behaviour from leafpool's perspective, but you see, it's tragically self-fulfilling given her own character and

i just saw fanart of Graypaw, Ravenpaw, and Firepaw, and it occurred to me that they were the og gray-black-orange trio...

and then i started thinking about how Firestar's whole Thing was peacemaking and love and friendship, while Lionblaze is quicker and quicker to jump to violence with every passing moon of the current arcs...

Graystripe's whole personality was goofy loyal bestie and Jayfeather is one of the most miserable nasty cats

ravenpaw vs hollyleaf is less obvious as a contrast/inverse but i think about how ravenpaw embraced life as an "outsider" by choice compared to hollyleaf's breakdown when she learned the truth of her birth

One of the funniest things about enemies-to-lovers ships is how they’re almost always obsessed with each other. Like if a character actively chooses to interact with another character over and over again instead of simply ignoring them? Throw darts at it all you want, but you still printed out a picture of them to hang on your wall
