filling up the cute little basket you always bring. tom insisting on carrying it and that it isn't getting heavy. picking through fruti and veggies not noticing him disappear only for him to return with a hand selected bouquet from down the street.

grocery shopping

arguing about what is or is not on the list. picking out random snacks. arguing over your ice cream flavour. finding random things he decided to add during check out.

first day of school

dropping your baby boy off to his first day of school wearing a Spiderman suit. Tom crying more than him.

packing to move

organizing each box only for tom to put random things in the box before he tapes them. complaining about how heavy he made some of the boxes. complaining that you have too much stuff and that you should throw it out.

decorating a nursery

picking out the perfect shade for the walls. building baby furniture in the middle of the night when you can't sleep. hand prints under the first coat of paint. accidentally getting paint on the roof and deciding just to paint that too. read each other the baby books when you take breaks.

Summary: You and Peter have 'secret' crushes on each other and think no one knows...

You and Peter have been in the same friends group since the day you met. No body had ever seen two people click together as fast as you two had, despite being so different it seemed as though you were each others missing pieces.

After two years you had a routine that was basically set in stone. After Band and Choir you two would meet at your lockers - side by side of course - and chat about your day whilst you packed up you back packs.

You take the same train home, so you always walked out to the stop and waiting with one another,s till chatting about the day and sometimes sharing music. If you were too slow you would stop by a little coffee shop or a corner store for a drink and maybe a snack. And if you were being honest, you were late to your first train quite a bit. You were actually very close to being given a key to the school by the head janitor.

Today was no different than any other.

"Hey," his smile always made your day.

"Hey, how was band?" He shrugs, he doesn't love band but it's too late for him to stop now. And it gives him something to do to stay behind with you.

"Choir?"

"Same as always. We sang a little, argued over a few things and finished with another song."

"Exhilarating," he packs his bag slow today, watching over your shoulder to see who might be coming down the hallway. You pile textbooks, and notebooks, and pens into your back pack simply watching him.

His face is soft looking, but he looks kind of nervous. You'e not sure why but you know better than to ask him what is wrong or he will turn into a stumbling mess trying to hid it. Instead, you finish packing your bag and close your locker.

"So i was thinking..."

"Yeah?"

"I was wondering if you would, maybe if you though that we uhm..i uh I was thinking.."

"Oh here we go again," you both jump. You turn to see the head janitor stepping out from his office with a tired and bored look on his face. He gives the both of you a soft smile.

"What?"

"About once a month Peter tries his best and fails to ask you out. Even though you two spend almost every day together and very clearly like one another he can't do it," the heat on your face is beyond anything you've felt before as you avoid looking at Peter's face. "So why not I ask her for you kiddo?"

"I....sure," he lets out a bit of a laugh but you can tell he almost feels guilty.

"Why not you two go out for a cup of coffee or a walk around the park this weekend? Peter's treat."

"That sounds great."

"Lovely." He pauses, turning slightly away before turning back to you. "You two will make a very smart, sweet couple. Now get out of my school and go home."

autumn + Peter Parker

Your favourite things to do with Peter in the autumn/fall...

watching the leaves fall...

he loves to sit on the fire escape, by the window or even in a quiet park with you watching as the leaves change colours and fall from the leaves. He always picks a tree-ful park so he can watch for hours, sharing an earphone or telling each other stories.

hot cocoa...

in the autumn you both make the switch around 2pm for cocoa instead of coffee. He thinks you make the BEST hot cocoa when really you just follow the recipe on the back of the container and add a sprinkle of cinnamon.

pumpkin picking...

every october when the orchards are ready Peter drags you out to the nearest farm to pick out the perfect pumpkins. He hardly carves them, if he does he doesn't do it until the day before halloween but he always picks out little ones to decorate the apartment.

halloween movies...

while it isn't his favourite holiday he will admit that the halloween movies are superior. Every weekend you spend watch 1-4 movies prepping for the trick or treaters and the overall spooky vibes of the season.

cuddling up...

with the weather chilling Peter is three times as excited to spend time snuggled up on the couch or in bed. Weather just sharing the same blanket on the couch or close enough your eye lashes almost touch he loves it.

rain...

Peter loves the rainy weather. he doesn't find it cold or depressing, he actually finds it the opposite. Every rainy day Peter is in a fantastic mood and insists on walking every, even if it's just a little bit too far.

pumpkin spice...

Just like every other white girl in the world Peter loves pumpkin spice. Pumpkin pie, cookies, lattes, coffee creamer, soda, whatever he can find he will try. And he will never admit that it's disgusting - even if it sits in the fridge for 6 months before he lets you throw it out.

sweaters...

the kid wears sweaters all the time. From hoodies, to vests to knit he loves them all. So when the weather finally chills off enough that he can wear them all day every day he jumps to it. He even buys himself one new sweater every year just to prep for fall.

warm home cooked meals...

even though the two of you cook dinner every day, spare the odd few days soup season is his favourite season. soup and biscuit is one of his favourite meals, and as the weather chills you have more soups, pastas and generally warm meals. he can't get enough of it.

bonus....

once you begin having children Peter starts looking for family halloween costumes in august. If he can't find the custom, he will make his own and it will be fantastic. From winnie the pooh to lilo and stitch, to stupid sciencey jokes he would be all over it.
