How They Were in School

More than one headcanons set a month? Who am I

Rich kid, obviously.

Although he was rich and everyone knew it, he also wasn’t the type to brag about his wealth or his family’s status in school. At least not intentionally.

Sometimes he’d make a comment purely out of ignorance. No harm intended, but still enough to make people roll their eyes at him and groan.

“What do you mean you don’t have a driver? How do you get to school?”

The bus Marius. The bus. Like a good chunk of students do.

“Oh I didn’t realize people actually rode those here!”

Despite his occasional ignorant comment Marius was actually fairly popular with the other students when he was in school.

Of course his family’s status and wealth had some part to play in why he was so popular, but ultimately a lot of it came down to him just being a good guy and charming by nature.

Marius is very inherently kind, even if he can come off a bit obnoxious.

(Well maybe a little more than a bit)

But you can’t deny he has a good heart and all the best intentions.

Of course, Marius was also very popular for his looks. He isn’t blind to his own charms and appearance and neither were his classmates. Marius’ winning smile and flirtatious remarks got him many secret admirers in his school years.

Not a valentine’s gone by where his locker wasn’t filled with cards from his admirers. Even if he never really entertained the idea of being in a relationship too much.

As much as many would assume he’d run for class president Marius actually wasn’t the type to seek out that kind of attention or position.

In fact, Marius was far more content sitting in the corner of the art classroom, pouring over his next piece. Learning new art mediums and experimenting with different forms. Taking as many art classes as he could and trying to push aside the business/marketing courses his councilors and family tried to push him into.

He was very popular with the art teachers. Which meant he got a lot of extra privileges.

Graduated with a 3.9 GPA. While he generally did very well, he ain't perfect. But then again, grades don’t matter when you’re a von Hagen.

Right?

Okay so in canon Vyn was most likely taught by private tutors instead of actually going to a general public or private school considering he’s like. Basically royalty but let’s just pretend here alright.

In school Vyn was known for being an exceptional student.

Perfect grades, All AP/IB courses, that kind of deal.

He’s that kid that everyone knows is gonna end up going to one of those incredibly well revered Ivy League schools, where he would also end up doing exceptionally well.

Socially Vyn is decently popular. He’s liked well enough by most people and not many people really find issues with him. However Vyn is also almost always primarily focused on his academics, so he’s probably not one to really try and be popular in the first place.

Vyn is also well known for being a tutor to a lot of other students. It wasn’t uncommon for teachers to ask Vyn to help tutor struggling students, if not having students reach out to him first.

Vyn is actually a really great tutor though. He very clearly knows and understands his material and is actually pretty decent at teaching it to others.

He’s also a pretty great tutor too. Similarly to how he is as a professor, he has his expectations but isn’t overly strict or harsh. He’s a much more encouraging teacher than anything else.

Anyone who went to school with him could probably tell that he was going to become some kind of educator. Although his choice of psychiatry might have been a little more of a surprise.

Most people probably would have pegged him for something more… politically motivated considering his family. But as we know, that was never quite Vyn’s style.

Graduates with a perfect GPA. Was absolutely the Valedictorian for his class and gave an extremely inspiring speech that most of his classmates still remember years later.

Regardless of if he’d admit or not Artem was a huge nerd in school.

He wasn’t incredibly popular but everyone who did know him liked him a lot. Artem is a pretty easy person to like and get along with in general.

However, even for all that friendliness and charm he does have, Artem is also almost painfully oblivious to most people's attempts at advances towards him.

It’s not that he was uninterested in people finding him attractive or desirable, he’s just got the kind of person who’s gonna notice it.

You could probably walk up to him and straight up tell him that you find him handsome and ask him out on a date and he’d likely just assume you’re being friendly and trying to befriend him.

We love him for that though.

Academically he does very well, not quite Vyn levels of perfect academics but he does well in his courses. Even if they aren’t all APs or honors courses.

Artem finds himself drawn towards the political science and history courses. After all, with two parents in the legal field he can’t help but have an interest.

Artem is also a debate club champion. Just as he’s known for his success in the courtroom his school years were remembered for his success in the debate club. You could give him any subject or stance and he’d be able to make an incredibly successful argument.

However, despite loving those political science courses and government classes. The place where Artem finds himself truly happy is in his time as President of the film club.

The club wasn’t immensely popular at his school, but popular enough that once a week he and a few other students would get together to watch films and discuss them. It’s a big part of where his love of film and movies started. Even if most people had no idea.

When he graduated, he was absolutely one of the honor students. Even if not valedictorian. However, no one would deny that Artem had some really good things in his future. Especially as he headed towards his Law degree.

Luke wasn’t really all that popular.

Although he wasn’t unpopular either?

Honestly Luke wasn’t and has never been the type to really care all that much about that kind of thing. Popularity isn’t a huge thing for him.

The popularity he does have though, comes from his good natured personality.

Luke’s a good person, that has never been a point of debate. He’d be the type to pick up the book you accidentally dropped, or walk you to the school nurse if you felt unwell and so on.

While Luke is generally very outgoing with others he can sometimes come off as rather reserved when it comes to talking about himself. He doesn’t talk a whole lot about himself to others and would much prefer to listen and help other people.

As a result, while he is well liked by many of his peers, most people don’t actually know a whole lot about him as a person. They know he’s kind, and that he genuinely wants to help others, but that’s the bulk of what most people know.

Luke’s a good student, although he wouldn’t be the type to brag about being on the honor roll or getting an A on his final exams. He does well while keeping himself humble.

He’s also very well liked by the staff at the school. Luke is the kind of person that would never dare to be rude or disrespectful to the staff, which earns him a lot of extra points.

Luke is the student who knows every janitor’s name and asks about their day. He’s good friends with the lunch servers and always gets a little extra food as a result. He’s well loved by the librarian and always has first dibs on any new mystery novel that is put on the shelf.

Luke doesn’t get to graduate with the rest of his class. Before he could even graduate he was off to study at university. One day he’s in class and the next day he’s up and gone away.

Some people forget about him, they remember the kind boy who helped them out once or sat in their classes, but his name is forgotten by some. But for others who he was very kind towards, a hope for his success never ceased.

RFA+V+Saeran and Their Social Media

Well, it’s been a minute huh…

Anyways.

Thirst traps, Thirst traps, Thirst traps

You know those Tik Tok pages that are all just men doing thirst traps? That’s Zen.

Isn’t on Tiktok much because he finds it too complicated, however when he does post it’s usually some kind of thirst trap, or him singing. (Or both).

He tends to be much more active on Instagram.

His page is filled with a collage of different photos.

A lot of photos from rehearsal/set. Anything he’s allowed to show he will, like to post little behind the scenes images on whatever project he’s working on at the time.

Of course there’s lots of gym photos, photos of him lifting weights, flexing in the gym mirror, you know the works.

Beyond that, his page has a lot of selfies. All the classic Zen faces we’ve come to know and love.

He actually has a decently big following, both fans of his shows and people who just think he’s pretty. However Zen is pretty satisfied with the validation either way.

Although, he is always plugging his projects. That is part of being an actor after all.

YOOSUNG

On one hand his social media is pretty run of the mill university student fare.

Yoosung’s instagram has a lot of photos of his university, him on the way to class, photos from around campus.

He’s not the most social on campus but he does usually post photos from university events he attends.

He also likes to post photos of the food he makes for himself (like his omurice from that one CG)

He has some photos of Rika too, although nowadays they’re mostly him grieving.

One thing Yoosung does in his spare time when he’s able is stream the games he plays online.

So, it’s mostly LOLOL but at least he has that branding.

His Twitch channel is not popular by any means. Most of the time his streams only have 1-3 average viewers at any given point.

(One of those is almost always 707)

He’s actually pretty entertaining to watch! He just doesn’t really know how to market himself well.

Although, sometimes he’ll get a random streamer to raid his streams. Giving him a huge boost in viewers at least for a little while.

The raid is usually 707’s doing. Although he’d never tell

JAEHEE

Jaehee runs the largest Zen fanpage of Instagram and Twitter. Actually has a lot of followers.

Anonymously of course, no one actually knows its her

(She’d rather die then have anyone in the RFA know about her fanpages, especially 707 and Zen himself)

Her fan Instagram is mostly a collection of reposts of Zen’s selfies as well as reporting about his newest projects, with some edits interspersed.

She has to play the careful game of never letting onto the fact that she knows Zen in real life. Even if that does mean keeping certain information for herself, and/or pretending to be excited about certain kinds of news.

Of course no one on her fanpage has any idea who she is in real life. Some can guess that she’s at least an adult based on the few bits of information she lets slip, but no one would assume she’s the Assistant to C&R President Jumin Han.

It’s a nice way to destress from work though, she won’t lie there.

On the social media attached to her name it’s pretty basic fare. Photos of coffee or work, perhaps a photo of her ticket stubs to see Zen’s newest performances.

If you didn’t know her or her fanpage, you’d just assume she’s a regular workaholic 20-something. Not a lot of followers besides some friends and other connections, but she doesn’t really care.

JUMIN

Jumin’s professional accounts are run by C&R staff. There’s no way in hell Jumin would be trusted to manage that himself.

On his professional accounts it is primarily press photos, photos promoting C&R brands and events. The usual PR fare.

Jumin has a reasonable amount of followers, although he couldn’t really care less about it. Jumin isn’t really a social media guy, at all.

Most people who follow these professional accounts know that it's not actually Jumin running them, but that doesn’t stop people from making comments about his appearance, asking for money, or asking about rumors.

Although no one ever receives a response.

However, Jumin does have some private social media.

Although they’re a mess.

Instagram is just blurry photos of Elizabeth the 3rd, or whatever wine he’s drinking, his newest cross stitch, etc.

His Twitter is mostly just a stream of consciousness.

“Elizabeth the 3rd laid in the sun through the window today… effervescent.”

“Thinking of a new cat project. Cat wine…yes. @Assistant Kang please make note”

His private socials are exclusively followed by RFA members, but Jumin likes it that way.

SEVEN/707

Troll

Absolute fiend.

A monstrosity.

This man starts discourse and fights on purpose

This man makes burner accounts just to start drama and then completely disappears and watches the threads descend into madness.

He pops up and makes some kind of bad fake hot take in someone’s replies and then just feeds the fire. This man has definitely caused people to deactivate before.

(And he’d do it again)

His twitter is mostly just shitposts and memes. Only some of them are coherent and understandable to a normal person.

If you follow him and can actually keep up with his humor then you my friend are on some other plane of existence.

He does have a TikTok that he keeps pretty private due to his work and personal life. However most of his videos are either nonsensical, or are meant to tease his friends in the RFA.

Notorious for duetting Zen’s thirst traps, making fun of him. Even if only a few people see them

He also likes to promote Yoosung’s twitch secretly on Tiktok and Twitter. Mostly through his dozens of burner accounts.

V/JIHYUN

Jihyun is basically an old man when it comes to technology and social media for the most part.

It’s not that he doesn’t like it or that he’s against it. He just genuinely does not get it nor can he figure it out.

The only real social media he has is Instagram where he posts his photos, his art, and images of him from his travels.

He absolutely has the most aesthetically pleasing Instagram. It’s all beautiful and partially color coordinated. It’s the kind of Instagram aesthetic most people dream of having.

His posts usually either have very basic captions. Simple quotes, locations, etc.

Or his posts have long and deep captions. His own personal musings on the image of his life. Or telling the story of the image he took.

V isn’t the most open of the RFA members. Many of his inner thoughts and processes are hidden behind his eyes and warm smiles, but the captions usually let people look into his mind a little deeper.

He has a moderate following online. Many people who love his art and photographs and of course friends and connections he has.

Although, he could have a million followers and he wouldn’t change a thing about the way he posts. He doesn’t need a big audience, he just likes having digital scrapbooks to look back on when he can’t look at the physical ones.

SAERAN

Saeran’s social media is…complicated.

Before leaving Mint Eye he didn’t have any outside social media. There’s no way he would have been allowed to.

After he managed to leave, however, that’s when he’s able to try social media for the first time.

His social media is almost completely faceless.Saeran doesn’t particularly want his face all over the internet but he still posts without his face.

On Twitter it’s mostly a lot of venting. He keeps it private purposefully, and as a result has little to no followers. Saeran uses it as his way of venting and letting off steam. Like a personal diary.

Saeyoung knows about the account, but he makes an effort to respect Saeran’s privacy. He can understand a need for space on social media.

His TikTok is usually quite different. While there are some negative posts, for the most part they’re fairly simple videos.

He uses the robot voice overs because he doesn’t like to listen to his own voice that much. And using it is significantly easier for him.

His videos are a lot of him gardening, walking around nature, or him cooking new recipes to share. The videos tend to be on the quieter side, with Saeran preferring to show off the scenery or whatever he’s doing.

Sometimes he shares stories about his life, and he reflects on his life and progress since leaving Mint Eye.

He has a moderate following, although he prefers his audience to stay small.

While he mostly posts for himself, he does find support in his social media. It’s nice. Getting to have that kind of community around him.

BONUS: VANDERWOOD
