It had been a long day. An exhausting one at that.

Among the passengers that were across the train's seats, one familiar face stood out. A classmate to be specific, it was Xiao. You and him weren't that close but were instead acquainted because of afterschool clubs. Which also explains why you both went home at this hour.

"This is the first time I've seen you on a train." You say in attempts of small talk.

He shook his head before muttering, "It isn't my first time."

A small "oh" left you in response before sitting in silence once again. Since you didn't exactly know anything about him other than his basic identification, "small talk" was not happening at all. In fact, this was the first time you've actually spoken to the quiet highschooler.

So without anything else left to do, you decided to lean back on the train's glass window and catch a few z's on the way home.

It wouldn't hurt to after all.

Unbeknownst to your sleeping figure, the train's sudden rough movements caused you to lean your body next to Xiao, accidentally placing your cheek atop his shoulder. This surprised him, looking at you from the corner of his eye before raising a hand to alert you.

"Ah, young love." An old couple from a few seats away whispered to each other. They seemed to be reminiscing about their memories as lovers. But the comment made Xiao's ears burn.

Deciding to ignore it, he chose to sit still and let you rest. The dark circles under your eyes came into full view when he got a much closer look at your face.

Don't get him wrong, he just didn't want to seem rude.

But he'd be lying if he said he didn't enjoy the warm feeling that started to bloom in his chest.
