my main complaints of the series:

- the lack of suspense in all the monster scenes. they all went like this: monster appears, someone declares their identity, one second ‘action’ scene that fades to black

- tv show sally jackson is annoying

- not enough percy powers! bro’s supposed to be OP, talk to animals, not get wet underwater (eye twitch) and CONTROL WATER we saw this once

- the gods not godding bro😭😭 these guys just normal human adults. dont give me that budget bs we are talking about DISNEY. be so fr

main compliments on the show

- love that we’re building on the pan story line so early

- walkers acting!!! little bro’s phenomenal

- percabeth dynamic! leah and walker have great chemistry

- LUKE!! luke’s fr going to be the character that the show does so much better and im so excited.

i am so happy they changed Annabeth’s parental story in the show because in the book her dad isn’t exactly wrong?? this woman he’s been seeing but hasn’t even slept with drops off a baby one day?? after he explicitly says he doesn’t want one yet?? and expects him to raise her without any help?? like yeah i’d be pissed off too if i were Frederick Chase!!

something something annabeth being conditioned to believe love, affection, and protection is something that is earned and not just given. the only person who she has not had to earn it from is luke, who will eventually betray her.

something something percy being loved and protected by his mother unconditionally, not understanding how the gods, or anyone for that matter, could treat somebody the way annabeth has been treated.

something something percy, poisoned and barely standing, shoving annabeth down the stairs in the arch to protect her and grover because they are FRIENDS! and that’s it. she didn’t need to earn it. they’re equals! he’s so fiercely loyal that it doesn’t matter if he had only just met her! percy doesn’t believe in conditional love! he’s not poseidon’s son, he’s sally jackson’s son!
