Is there a book that you have read, that had truly stuck with you and you find yourself thinking of it often? Where the Crawdads Sing by @authordeliaowens is one of those books for me. I often think of Kya and the marsh, they are almost real in my heart ❤️ When I passed by this marsh I knew I had to bring this book with me to take a pic! While this is not a Carolina shoreline marsh, it is a beautiful New England marsh surrounded by gorgeous foliage and full of wildlife! I wish I had the time to explore this marsh as Kya did with her marsh. Do you reread books? What was the last book you reread? . What is your favorite sport? Do you like sports romances? . I am not a huge sports fan but I do love sports romances! In life I will watch football and some basketball but I don’t watch hockey, but for some reason I am totally drawn to hockey sports romances! What is a new show or movie that you’ve watched lately? . We started watching Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist and I have to say that I am totally hooked on this show! Have you ever felt like you’re failing at being a reader and a Bookstagrammer? . Life has been a bit overwhelming for me lately. There have been so many changes in my household since the start of Fall, both of my kids started new schools, I started a new job working a lot more hours than before, my husbands job has been more demanding and then this past weekend we lost one of our dogs. With all of this going on, finding time for reading and time for Bookstagram has felt next to impossible. I truly enjoy reading and miss taking that time for myself. I enjoy everything that comes with Bookstagram and I find photo taking, editing, arranging and composition so fun and it gives me such a creative outlet. But the truth is, I just don’t have the time and when I do have a little time... I’m often so exhausted that I don’t have the motivation to do anything. I’m not saying goodbye, I’m just asking that everyone be patient with me as I try to figure it all out. I’m struggling with posting every single day, commenting on other posts frequently, answering or replying to DMs and emails and taking on books for review or books to feature. I’m sorry that I’m struggling so much to interact. My hope is that I will be able to manage my time and do better in the future. Thank you all for understanding and being so supportive. Do you enjoy modern day retellings of classic books? . I always find them so fascinating and love to see how they are similar to the original. Series or stand alones? . I love both but I think companion novels are my favorite! They are a series of books that are all connected by their characters but each book can be read as a stand alone. I just finished Handle with Care by @helenahunting (one of my fave contemporary authors) and I loved it! This is the 5th book in the Shacking Up series (they can all be read as stand alones) and I have truly enjoyed this series!
